A large beast trotted out of the safety of the woods and onto the field, his grey scales seemed to be an ugly contrast to the flowing golden brown grass that littered the landscape. He was here for one reason only, and that was to relax. A single beady blood red eye looked up at the heavens above, while the other remained closed. That once calm orb seemed to now project the look of annoyance as their host took note of the weather as well as the time of day. Great, the sun was going down. Soon it would get cold, oh how Guillotine loathed the cold. He knew the only way to possible keep warm out here was to soak up some moon rays, it wouldn’t be as effective as the sun but it would do. Hell, if he could have it his way the sun wound be out twenty-four-seven.
With a heavy sigh Guillotine trotted on, stomping through the tall dead wheat like grass as he did so. The male didn’t seem to be too worried if another being was to hear him. Maybe if he were lucky enough he could stumble upon a lost human? Last time he was out here he had found two friends out for a picnic in the field. Oh how he loved to murder those damn females, he just loved the way they screamed when his fangs got a hold of them. At this time of night however, it seemed that there wasn’t a soul around; or so he thought. The hell hound had no idea where he was going, nor did he care. All he wanted to do right now was get away from the damn city and the problems it held with it. Not too terribly long ago the male had lost his mate, soon after that he was beaten and stripped of his right eye. The demon that took his eye also took the male’s freedom. Luckily for him the demon was nice enough to put something in his eye socket. It was supposed to be a new eye but yet Guillotine couldn’t see out of it.
The large beast continued to trot along until he reached the other side of the field and entered the small patch of wooded area there. Perhaps he could find a meal in this part of the forest. Then after he could rest in the field, it seemed like a good idea at the time. The large beast’s blood red eye looked about the forest like a radar. Luckily his Ex-mate taught him how to hunt properly. Guillotine lowered his head and began to sniff around. Nothing, perhaps the forest animals where smarter than he thought. Surly they ran off and hid when they saw him coming. With a low snort the hellhound continued to sniff around. Maybe he could find something if he just kept trying.

As the sun began to set a lone figure of a small girl could be seen walking into the forest. It wouldn’t be a surprise for anyone that knew her to find her in such a place. The forest had been her home when she first came to the city, and in some ways she still considered it that. She always came through these woods, down the same path she always did to hunt, or just walk for the hell of it, whatever caught her fancy at the time. This time she came here for one thing. Food. It wasn’t like Akeelah needed to hunt in order to eat. Even after she left Guillotine’s apartment the shifter had found a new place to stay with a friend of hers. So there was always food around for her to eat. But lately the little shifter had been having odd cravings for particular meals that she couldn’t satisfy. It wasn’t like she was starving or anything like that. Hell, since she moved in with Rose she had gained some weight. For normal woman that lived here that might have been a bad thing. But Akeelah didn’t see it that way. When one used to live a life where they couldn’t be sure when their next meal would be it was a good thing to be able to gain weight. But despite that she still felt hungry for something. Today she had a powerful craving for deer.
Akeelah looked up in the sky to watch the sun vanish in the sky. The desire to hunt was growing in the girl but she couldn’t change too quickly yet. The sun was setting but it wasn’t completely gone yet, and that meant there was a chance that a human or two were still out here. The last thing she needed was for more humans to see her true form. Not like it really matters anyway… the girl thought. Months ago a large group of humans saw her true form out in the streets. Thanks to her caution, and sheer luck no one had tried to hunt her down after that but the shifter didn’t want to take any chances. Akeelah turned her attention down to the forest, checking out her surroundings carefully, and keeping an ear out for any followers or unsuspecting travelers that might run into her. Besides the usual noises of the woods there was no one here. For a moment Akeelah debated if she should risk transforming now. It wouldn’t hurt for her to do change now so she could track down some deer. It wasn’t impossible for the girl to track her prey down as a human, but if she wanted to take the animal down she needed the strength and agility of her leopard form, and of course it would be easier to track by scent than just her sight.
After giving the place one last careful look over Akeelah shifted into her animal form and got to work. It didn’t take too long for the beast to catch the scent of her target. The leopard purred as she headed down the direction that her prey had went. Tonight would be a good hunting night. The deer could not have gotten too far away from here. Judging from the scent it had passed through this way recently, maybe around thirty minutes or so. Unless something spooked it before she came upon it the creature had to be nearby. The shifter moved silently through the forest, keeping herself hidden just in case she might walk right into it and scare it off. But as the feline moved she noticed how quiet the forest had gotten as she moved. That couldn’t be good. Complete silence meant that every creature living out here knew that a predator was nearby. Did the other animals catch her presence? Not likely. Akeelah wasn’t some little cub out on her first hunting trip alone, she was well camouflaged out here to avoid detection. It had to be something else.
The leopard had to hold back the urge to growl in annoyance. There were plenty of things that liked to roam around in the woods that could frighten all the wildlife away. This place was the favorite spot for a large number of supernatural creatures that lived in New Orlands. It wouldn’t be the first time that one of them scared off her prey, or interrupted her hunt and it wouldn’t be the last. Should she give up? Hell no. She didn’t come all the way out here to give up. One way or another she was going to get that deer, carry it up a nice comfy tree and feast on its flesh. And there was nothing in this world that was going to stop her till she satisfied her craving. Akeelah continued her hunt, moving deeper in the forest despite the eerie silence when she spotted something ahead. The instant that her eyes fell on the hellhound all the pain and anger she felt at the male came back. Guillotine….it just had to be him! Before she could think the feline growled and stepped out of her hiding place. ”How dare you show yourself in my turf!” she snarled.

Tonight seemed to be a bad night to hunt. Guillotine continued to sniff around and yet the trail he had gotten moments ago had gone cold. With a low snort the male lifted his head from the ground and grumbled to himself. What was he to do now? Perhaps he could go into the city and find much easier prey, Humans and house cats where always easy to catch. There was a problem with this new plan. For once, Gil wished to keep a low profile; So humans where off the menu tonight. A few weeks back he had been spotted by someone who saw him the day he transformed and killed an innocent woman. The man called the cops but Guillotine left the scene before they came. Livening in the city was getting increasingly difficult. For a while Guillotine actually left his apartment and went to live on the more slummy side of town. It was a relatively safe place, but only because the streets and apartments where so run down, no one dared to come around. Unfortunately during that time Guillotine seemed to let himself go. He had refused to shave, bathe, and even brush his hair when he was living back in the Old city Quarter. To guillotine’s surprise Akhtar had come looking for him, and even persuaded the depressed hellhound to come back to the city with him. So here he was. Guillotine’s single blood red eye looked around. There was not too much he could do at this point. Perhaps Akhtar could conger up a steak or something. Guillotine licked his lips at the thought of digging his fangs into a nice juicy steak. So the male decided that he would return to Akhtar’s place, when the icy cold wind swept a very familiar scent into his nose. The large beast’s pointed ears stood erect onto his large scaly head. His tail suddenly began to sway from side to side. Could it be? Akeelah? Guillotine’s head snapped around to see the sleek feline just as she trotted out from her hiding place. Naturally she was still pissed at him. Guillotine couldn’t blame her. For the past month he had time to think about what he had done. Angry or not Guillotine was still excited to see his dear mate. The beast’s tail continued to wag even after Akeelah spoke her peace. The hellhound sighed. Perhaps this conversation would go over better if he was in his human form. Maybe then she would see that he didn’t want to cause any trouble. It took only seconds for the hellhound to shift into his human form. The flames licked at his beastly flesh, burning it off to reveal the human that lied underneath. The pillar of fire dispersed leaving a tall human sanding in the hellhound’s place. The male looked a bit different. His hair was a few inches longer. Light stubble seemed to have taken over the male’s chin. But nothing seemed to stand out more than that dreadful eye patch he chose to wear over his right eye. Guillotine ignored the damn thing, his single forest green orb looking into Akeelah’s golden ones. Gil then spoke, a bit of light humor laced his voice. “Your turf? Heh funny, the last time I was here this was my territory.” The male cooed in a joking tone. Back when they were together their territories overlapped. Which didn’t bother Guillotine, but now it seemed to come back to bite him in the ass. Akeelah was already in a foul mood. It would be stupid to get angry and only intensify the woman’s need to rip him apart. For the moment Guillotine would remain calm. The male looked away for a moment as if trying to gather his words. “It’s been a while Akeelah. “ Guillotine attempted to relax, though it was hard when an angry leopard was staring you down with hungry eyes. The male leaned his back against one of the many trees and sighed. “Don’t worry. I’m only here to hunt, though I haven’t seen any game.” He cooed as his pale hand began to scratch the scuff on his chin. She couldn’t get angry at him for making small talk right?

The mere sight of her old mate was enough to bring all the anger back to the surface. Akeelah wasn’t the type of girl that always showed her emotions. Depending on the situation she would try to mask it. But the one emotion she didn’t have full control of was anger. Perhaps she and Guillotine were not much different. For a second the shifter thought about attacking the bastard for showing his face around her turf, but quickly thought better of it. She already attacked him when she found out that he had cheated on her out of anger. But that was then, when her emotions were so out of control that she couldn’t think straight. Now, though she was still mad, she still had some self control. Fighting him now wasn’t the smartest idea in the world. He wasn’t worth getting herself hurt and become unable to hunt. Besides, beating him up wouldn’t make her feel any better. The feline’s anger was strong enough for Akeelah not to take a good look at the male at first, but the moment he transformed she was taken aback by his condition.
Guillotine had definitely seen better days. The man looked terrible. He looked so worn out and unkempt that even she felt some pity for him. It was like she was back to that day she had ran into after she left both him and Raffe after the big fight in the street. The poor man had taken her leaving him so badly that he turned to drugs to fill the void of her absence. He looked almost like how he did back then. Save for the eyepatch. Just what the hell happened to him? Why should you care about him anymore? He’s not your mate remember?! Akeelah reminded herself. That’s right, what Guillotine did to himself was not her problem anymore. She wasn’t going to let him walk all over her like he did the last. She wasn’t supposed to have feelings for him anymore, not after what he did.
The leopard pulled herself together just in time to growl at the man’s response to her. ”That was before you tried to get in some other woman’s pants. You’ve got no right being here anymore.” she snarled back. The statement was somewhat true. Before the break up they had shared this part of the forest, but this place had been a part of her territory before Guillotine had come into her life. It hadn’t been a problem before but things were different now. But she couldn’t completely blame the hellhound. It wasn’t like the two had the chance to decide who kept what part of land after she left him. Akeelah had assumed that Gil would have enough sense to stay away from where she would go….no, not assumed…more like wished he would. It wasn’t like Gil thought things through often, and if he wanted to try and see her again this place would be the first place to look. In hinge sight Akeelah should have been the one to leave this area to him and found herself new territory. But she was just too stubborn to do that. Leaving her old territory was like admitting defeat, and she already lost enough to Gil that she didn’t want to give him anything else.
And now she regretted it…
”Maybe because you scared them all away. the feline snapped back. The leopard gave a short sigh before turning back to her human form. Craving or not it looked like the shifter wasn’t going to get any deer tonight. Even if she could brush Guillotine off now her prey had probably gotten pretty far away by now, besides, his presences here but the girl in too bad of a mood to want to hunt anymore. It would be better if she just left. “Whatever… have fun hunting.” She said as she turned to leave.

Guilt snuck into Guillotine’s skull like an unwelcome guest. He loathed this emotion that seemed to plague him at this very moment. At times like these Gil’s human form would prove to be a hindrance. Human emotions came with the form, and there was nothing he could do to get rid of them. No matter how hard he tried. Guillotine’s pale hand scratched the back of his head. The situation was getting more awkward by the minute. Tension laced the air like a thick fog. Gil seemed to have the worst timing in the world. Apart of him wished he hadn’t gone out that evening. He wouldn’t be face to face with an angry leopard if he had decided to stay home. Some part of him seemed to be enjoying the sight of his Ex-mate. It had been a month or so since he’d last seen her. Naturally he was ecstatic to see the shifter again; however, the situation at hand would go along much smoother if they had met on mutual terms. Unfortunately, Guillotine was trespassing on the young shifter’s turf. And of course Gil would disagree. The male thought the small patch of land was a part of his own territory. He released a low and rather annoyed snort. His forest green eye looked away from Akeelah as her leopard form gave him a hateful scowl. Could he really blame the girl? He had cheated on her after all. If he really wanted her, he would have a lot of ass kissing to do. Gil’s nose seemed to crinkle like and angry canine as she gave him a look over. Oh god, he hoped she wouldn’t say anything about the eye patch. The hellhound wasn’t in the mood to explain how he got it. Luckily the woman ignored it and went on to discuss other matters. Akeelah’s words alone caused the young hellhound to nearly blow his top. He took a long deep sigh, in an attempt to calm himself down. The last thing their severed relationship needed was another fight. “I can do whatever I want.” Guillotine protested with a scowl. Perhaps coming out here wasn’t the best idea after all. His attitude wasn’t helping the situation. The male folded his pale arms over his chest before he eyed Akeelah again. The leopard then commented that he scared all the game away. For once Guillotine remained quiet. He would attempt to keep his hateful comments to himself. However he could feel a few about to slip off the tip of his tongue. Akeelah then transformed. Guillotine stood there and watched the girl. Soon she said her piece and decided to walk off. “Yeah, I will.” Gil barked as he stormed off into the opposite direction. Did he really want this? Guillotine had grown attached to Akeelah, would he really let her slip through his fingers. The hellhound stopped. He had begun to ponder whether to go back or not. What if he did follow her, and she attached him? Guillotine rolled his jacket sleeve up and examined the scar the leopard left on his arm the last time they had a confrontation. The male released a low sigh. He really wanted her back right? Why not give it a shot. Guillotine spun around and began walking in the direction that Akeelah had left. He continued to follow her scent trail until he caught up with her. The male remained unusually quiet as he continued to tail his Ex-mate. Guillotine remained about nine feet or so from the girl. He wanted to keep his distance if the woman decided to attack him again. Perhaps stalking his Ex wasn’t the best idea Guillotine could come up with.

((Nah, your post is good ^^))
What little cheer Guillotine had shown quickly disappeared in the face of Akeelah’s anger. It served him right she thought. Why on earth Guillotine would be happy about seeing her here? The last time they had met had been the end of their relationship, it would have made sense if the damn hellhound had felt some shame seeing her now, or at the very least anger since she did attack him after he attempted to sleep with someone else. The little wag of his tail just ticked her off, and even worse, it made her uneasy. Did his momentary display mean that he actually had feelings for her? The shifter beat down that thought before she could take the time to consider it. No, if he had feelings for her back then he wouldn’t have done what he did. Doubting that for a moment was too dangerous for her. The leopard snorted when Gil told her that he could do whatever he pleased. “And that’s how our relationship died.” She said bitterly. “You could do whatever you wanted, and fuck whoever you wanted. And look where that got you.”
Akeelah continued to rub more salt into the man’s broken pride before she shifted back into her human form and walked off, leaving Guillotine where he stood. The girl didn’t bother to spare a second glance at Guillotine but she could hear him storm off in the other direction. Good, he was gone now. Hopefully she wouldn’t see him again. No, I won’t see him ever again. Akeelah told herself. It was obvious that in order to ensure that she would never see that hellhound again she needed to move elsewhere. But where? The shifter muddled over that thought as she continued to walk through the forest. For starters she needed to avoid the forest, or at least abandon this part of the forest. The forest had become a bit of a dangerous place. Besides the risk of running into Guillotine again there were always some…unsavory people that lurked here. But dangerous or not Akeelah didn’t want to give up a place to hunt.
Hell, she could easily live in a place like this on her own. It would be better to find some new territory to call her own, deeper in the woods where she wouldn’t come across Guillotine ever again. But that wouldn’t be good enough would it? Maybe it was better to just leave New Orlands altogether. The thought of leaving the city for good had come across Akeelah’s mind every once in awhile since she broke up with Gil. The city had too many painful memories for her and it was too risky to keep showing her face out there after the big incident. But she wasn’t properly prepared to do that. If she wasn’t planning to live the rest of her life in the wilderness then she needed money. Right now she didn’t have a penny to her name. If she left now she would be back in the same position that she had been in when she first came to this world.
What about Rose? Akeelah’s nephilim friend wouldn’t like that idea at all. Hell, she had been too scared over her to let the shifter just live back in her first home in the woods. If Rose caught wind of Akeelah planning to live back on the streets again she would stop her. And if it wasn’t Rose that would try and stop her then it would be Raffe. Akeelah sighed, no matter how many times she thought about it she always came to a dead end. As the thoughts of leaving slowly started to die down Akeelah began to feel uneasy, like she was being watched by something. The girl stopped to get a good look at her surroundings. What the fuck is it this time? she wondered. Tonight just seemed like a really shitty night indeed. “Get the fuck out of where you are hiding, or I will find you myself and rip you to shreds.” She snarled out in the darkness.

Akeelah’s finally comment seemed to have bothered Guillotine. She was right, that was how their relationship died. Guillotine continued to tail his ex-mate. It felt strange. Stalking Akeelah wasn’t the best thing to do at the time. Not only was Guillotine feeding his primal urges, he was putting himself in danger as well. The male was stupid enough to trudge after the woman who obviously didn’t want to see him. Apart of Gil didn’t want to leave without apologizing. He had a month to think about what he had done. Gil sat and simmered in his own denial for far too long. The male had begun to see the light in a sense .He had realized what he had done was wrong, and unfair to his dear Akeelah. Guillotine was looking for someone else to blame for his tragedy, when in reality the only person who could be blamed was himself. In the past Guillotine had become blinded by his own reckless nature. Even now it was hard to tame that abominable beast that dwelled within him. The male trekked on after Akeelah like a lost pup. His mind was beginning to fill with doubt. Could this relationship work out? Cambria did mention that hellhound could never truly love anything, even their own kind. Was she right? No, she had to be wrong. What Gil felt for Akeelah was something that he couldn’t possibly explain. It was a feeling that he had never felt before. Perhaps that was what love was? Gil could only hope. If he really wanted her back he would have to prove his worth. Cheating on his mate was a low blow. He was sure she wouldn’t want to come back to him right away. A frown creased Guillotine’s sullen features. What if she never wanted to see him again, then what? Guillotine released a low sigh. There was no telling how Akeelah would react to his apology. The male could only hope for the best. Before he could speak, Akeelah seemed to catch onto him. The female growled as she spun around and demanded for her stalker to show themselves. Guillotine had nearly forgotten that Akeelah’s senses where masked when she was in her human form. The male sighed again as he slipped out from his hiding spot. “H-hey. I didn’t mean to frighten you.” He began as he crept closer to his EX. “Akeelah, I-I want to apologies…for my actions.” The male then waited for a response.

Someone was about to get seriously mauled if things didn’t change soon. With the way things were going so far, Akeelah was likely to just lose it on the next person that she saw. She was angry, sad, and to top it off still hungry cause she couldn’t satisfy her craving for meat. What she needed now was at the very least some peace and solitude till she got back to Rose’s place. But even that would be denied for her. The shifter knew better than to dismiss the feeling of being watched without much thought. When one felt something foul was going on they made sure if their instincts were right. Most of the time they were…well, at least for her anyway. So angrily Akeelah called out to the person. Who it was, she didn’t bother to think about it too much. After all the only person that she knew that was in these woods right now was Guillotine. Though he claimed he’d leave, and went the opposite direction it wasn’t completely out of the realm of possibility that he’d follow here. To think about something like that though would not help her mood.
But low and behold! Here he was! The last person she wanted to see yet again. The girl growled at the sight of her former mate again. “Frighten me?” she echoed, “I am feeling many things right now but frightened is not one of them.” Akeelah crossed her arms over her chest as she glared down the hellhound. Already the shifter was starting to rethink the whole not attacking him again. Though she was over (or at least trying to get over )Gil, he didn’t seem to want to let the whole thing go. Guillotine was a pretty stubborn guy. Sometimes it took a lot more to get him to learn what not to do, if at all. But before Akeelah could decide if she should tear him to shreds, or just tell him to get lost when he did something unexpected.
He apologized…
“…What?” his apology confused her for a second. Did he really mean it? Honestly the girl had no idea. It wasn’t the first time that Guillotine apologized for something he had done in the past. But even if he meant what he said that didn’t mean anything at times. He could so easily slip back into old habits that his apologies became pointless. “What good can apologizing do now? What’s done is done. You can’t take that back.” She growled.

Guillotine could feel this situation was going to be tricky. Last time he attempted to get Akeelah back she turned on him. Gil still had the scar from when she bit him on the arm, and scratched him up with those razor sharp claws of hers. The male shuttered at the thought of Akeelah using him as a scratching post again. Of course Akeelah wasn’t the least bit excited to see him. She seemed pissed. After Gil spoke the young shifter replied. Her tone was as hostile as ever. Guillotine didn’t even make an attempt to reply. He was sure his attitude would only worsen the situation. Gil continued to look at the woman. He remained unusually calm. By now he would be spouting foul language and death threats. “I see.” He finally said before taking a bold step forward. Guillotine didn’t want to leave the forest without Akeelah, this would be difficult When Akeelah spoke again Gil cocked his head to the side. The shifter seemed confused when Gil apologized. The male sighed. “That is true.” Guillotine replied with a hint of sorrow in his voice. It was hard for the overly confident hellhound to own up to his mistakes. It was easier for him to blame others. In this case he couldn’t blame anyone but himself. The male’s pale hand scratched the light stubble that was on his chin. Gil’s gaze dropped to the forest floor. He was losing confidence with each passing second. Akeelah was pissed enough that he had followed her, would she really listen to what he had to say? Guillotine sighed and mulled over his words before continuing. “There is nothing I can do to change the past, but perhaps its best to look to the future.” The male’s single forest green eye looked into Akeelah’s. There was some truth to his words. “I’ve been thinking about it over the past month or so. No matter what I do I can’t seem to get you out of my head.”

Akeelah was playing with fire here. With every snarl, with every insult she threw at Guillotine she was risking pissing him off. And of course, when Gil got angry bad shit happened. It was his quick temper that led him, Raffe, and herself to get exposed out in the city as supernaturals. He even hit her before and nearly knocked her out. No good could come out of pushing his buttons like this but at this point Akeelah didn't care. She wanted to get him upset, she wanted to humiliate him like he had done to her. It wouldn't help mend their relationship but she could care less about that. She didn't even want to be friends with him again, she was that mad about what happened. No, it was better if she just pushed him out of her life completely. Her life was already a mess as it was without him complicating things more. As much as she tried to deny it Akeelah was still an emotional wreck, and it was all thanks to him.
The shifter glared down at the hellhound. If he was going to go and attack her for being a total bitch to him she would be ready for it. Guillotine wasn't the only one that could be nasty when they were pissed. She had shown him that much after she caught him cheating on her. She wouldn't be surprised if she saw teeth and claw marks still on the poor man's body. She could easily add more to the collection, or even worse if he lost it now. But to her amazement he didn't. Guillotine remained unusually calm despite her aggressive actions. He just stood there, watching her in silence as she spoke. Akeelah did the best she could to just ignore it and continue lashing out at him, but she couldn't help but wonder just what in the world was going on in his head.
The man let out a sigh before taking a step towards her. Instinctively Akeelah took a step back away from him, she was about to growl at him to back off when he spoke again. His words cut into her, making the girl falter in her anger. Was she making a mistake in pushing him away? "What future? Don't you get it? Its over! I already forgave you for other crap when we were together, I tried to look past your faults, I even tried to help you to get past your instincts, but this? If I even tried to forgive you for cheating on me how long would it take for your fucking instincts to take over and make you go behind me again?"

Guillotine’s patents slowly chipped away with each passing second. The male was nothing more than a ticking time bomb. He thought he could quell his anger by being calm. This futile attempt wouldn’t last long. Gil’s anger was something that he couldn’t possibly control, not in this situation anyway. He could feel the heat of his anger rising up within him, yet he did whatever he could to keep it at bay. Guillotine stood there, his single forest green eye continued to look into his ex-mate’s. She wasn’t the least bit happy to see him. She seemed pissed that he had followed her. Gil tried to explain, but it didn’t seem that Akeelah would have any of it. Her grudge would be a tough adversary to beat. He had to know his begging would be useless against an angry feline. At any time Akeleah could unleash her fury, and Gil would get another taste of her claws. Despite the danger of it all Guillotine seemed determined to get Akeelah back. Soon the woman spoke out against Guillotine’s clam. Her words hit him like a sledge hammer.
Those words, those dreadful words, ‘it’s over’. A sudden realization began to occur to the young male; A realization that this could possibly be the end of the line. She was right; it was over, all over. A sense of self-loathing began to spring up in the male’s mind. This of course only lasted for a few moments. Gil’s more dominant nature began to take over in place of this feeling of sorrow. No, it wasn’t over. He couldn’t let their relationship die like this. Gil would fight for what he wanted. The male’s eyes narrowed. If the female wished to throw grenades then he would too. Needless to say Gil would be only digging himself a deeper hole. Possibly one he couldn’t crawl out of. The male was tired of being submissive, now he would fight back. “Instinct. It controls us all, no?“ He began a light crooked grin then creased his lips. He would begin to play mind games. Kindness didn’t work. Perhaps he could get Akeelah to a mental corner then use his charm to win her over. This plan was faulty, as hell but it was the only thing Gil knew. “None of us are perfect, Akeelah. You of all people should know that.” The male began as he took another step towards the young feline. The male straitened his posture in an attempt to dominate the younger woman. This didn’t seem to help of course. Akeelah didn’t fear him. Something in the back of his head seemed to click. She wasn’t going to back down, no matter what he did. Perhaps he needed to give her something to fear.
Irritated, Gil’s anger began to slowly seep from the cracks of his hellish soul. “F-fuck it.” Guillotine barked, his anger quickly began to bubble to the surface. He couldn’t hold it back any longer. The male glared at Akeelah with a hate filled eye. “I’ve been through too much shit to lose you now.” Guillotine’s body began to smolder. His body temperature began to skyrocket until his tall frame erupted into a tower of flames. The inferno licked at the canopy. Flames burned and singed the trees around him, one of which caught on fire. Once the pillar of hellfire disbursed a large beastly hound stood in Guillotine’s place. A beastly demonic tone poured from the male’s maw. “Your words mean nothing! If I want you I will have you!” This obviously wasn’t the best thing Gil could do. He seemed only force a deeper rift between his mate and himself. “-You will come home with me, even if I have to break every bone in your fucking body to do so!” The beast’s tail slowly swayed back and forth behind him. His ears pulled back against his skull and he let loose a loud beastly growl.
(( Oh Gilly u fucking idiot XD))

Oh how badly did Akeelah wish to have this encounter end. Each passing second that she had to stand there in front of Guillotine was becoming unbearable. As much as she hated to admit it she still had some feelings towards her former mate. He had been the first person she had ever loved. So it was only natural that she felt hurt over what he had done, and couldn’t get over it. Like it or not there was a small part of her that wished that things could go back to the way it used to be. But Akeelah was no fool. She knew that there would be no way things could ever go back to the way it was before. If she just forgave him like she had done in the past he would just cheat on her again, and even if she didn’t catch him doing anything her trust was too broken for her to feel comfortable letting him out of her sight. What kind of relationship could they possibly have if she couldn’t trust her own mate? It didn’t help that Cambria’s words about Gil seeing her as nothing more than property were still all too clear in her head.
That woman's words were possibly even more hurtful than what Guillotine had done to her. Cambria's statement meant that their entire relationship was a lie. They meant that Gil was just using her this entire time, and she had only deluded herself into thinking that it was really love. That just didn't sit well with the girl at all. Maybe Cambria had been wrong, after all Guillotine had lost his old pack because of his relationship with her, it didn't make much sense for the hellhound to risk losing his own kind, and nearly his life just so he could romp with a leopard. Then again, if he really cared for her he never would have cheated in the first place. Thinking about all of this was pointless though, what was done was done and there was no way around that. It was better for both of them if they just broke up. It wasn't the easiest choice to make but Akeelah went with it.
But Guillotine refused to let it go. When Akeelah told Gil that their relationship, as far as she was concerned, was over he didn't take the news too well. Any sense of pain or guilt in the male quickly vanished after that. Within moments Guillotine fell back into old habits. He flashed her a menacing grin as he started to move towards her. Akeelah's body tensed as he approached but she didn't move back this time. It would take a lot more than that to make Akeelah feel scared. Though she really wasn't up for fighting Guillotine a second time she wouldn't hesitate to defend herself. As if queued by her thoughts Guillotine finally lost it and transformed, letting out a loud and vicious growl as he glared her down. Akeelah returned the gaze. "Fuck you." the shifter spat. "I'm not letting you walk over me and do whatever the fuck you want! I was a fucking fool to believe that you really loved me. If you cared at all you wouldn't treat me like I am some possession you can do whatever you want with!" Akeelah took a step towards the male as she transformed into a leopard once again. The feline let out an angry roar and bared her fangs at the other beast. "Back off now before I make you blind!"

Could he really go through with this? Could he really fight with the woman he loved so much? Despite being filled with rage, Guillotine began to hesitate. The male’s bear like claws dug into the ground beneath him. The couple had scraps before, and at one point Gil even knocked Akeelah coconscious after losing his temper with the young woman. The memories of that day surged into Guillotine’s skull. He could remember the pain he left her in. Would he do it again? What if he killed her this time? Would he really want to take a chance of killing Akeelah? Apart of the young hound wished to hold back and think about this, however the other more dominant side still wanted to fight the young shifter. Gil’s single blood red eye glared at Akeelah as he took a single step forward. This time she didn’t move. The feline was holding her ground. Impressed, Guillotine released a low snort. It seemed that Akeelah was finally growing a back bone. She wasn’t as gullible as Rose. Akeelah didn’t want an apology; she just wanted the male to leave. It seemed that she wouldn’t be forgiving him anytime soon. Guillotine of course would continue to press the issue until he was either forgiven or killed doing so. Guillotine was a stubborn as a mule. If he wanted something he would work to get it. Gil gained an if I can’t have her no one can complex. Clearly, he was possessive of Akeelah, and most of his other female friends. He couldn’t seem to let this relationship go. This was the result. The male wasn’t the least bit concerned on how this little spat would play on their drifting relationship. If he wasn’t careful he could lose Akeelah for good. When Guillotine transformed Akeelah’s anger seemed to spike. She gave the hellhound a glare he could never forget. The woman was brave. She held her ground and spoke in a loud yet confident tone. The rage that was wafting off her was unreal. Who could blame the young woman for being pissed off.? Guillotine bared his fangs when Akeelah spoke. Once she transformed the woman let out a loud roar that matched Guillotine’s. “I won’t give you the satisfaction.” The beast growled. He began to circle Akeelah as if she where some sort of prey item. Gil’s tail whipped behind him, and his ears remained pinned back against his skull. The male’s large bear-like paws thumped against the ground with each step. Oh how he wanted Akeelah back, but would this really be the right way to do it? Surly Gil was a true idiot to think he could win his mate back by fighting her. As Guillotine paced around Akeelah his blood began to boil. His maw dripped with slippery saliva. He eyed the smaller female. “I’ll give you another chance to accept my apology and come with me. I can’t leave you out here alone.”

Guillotine didn’t take Akeelah’s response too well. Of course the male didn’t back down when she challenged him right back. The hellhound’s rage was too strong for the male to even think over what he was about to do. But he wasn’t the only one whose emotions would get in the way of their common sense. Akeelah was the same way too, her anger, and refusal to back down from this was what fueled her to threaten him. But what else could she have possibly done? It was either fight back and stand her ground, or give into Gil. The latter was just not an option. She knew that in the long run she couldn’t trust him. To just give into his demands wouldn’t make things go back to normal, and if he cheated on her again they would be back to square one all over again. It was pointless, useless, and his actions only made that more clear to her now. If Guillotine was willing to sink his teeth into her just to force her to go back with him then was it really worth giving him any chance at all?
After Akeelah transformed Guillotine began to circle her, like a predator closing in on its frightened prey. As he moved Akeelah moved as well, circling him in turn as she growled at him. If he wanted to play power games then she would do so too. Akeelah wasn’t some weak scared little cub. She was more than capable of defending herself. But could she really beat Gil? The male had once knocked her out before. Back then she hadn’t fought back because she cared too much for him to bare her fangs at her mate. Things were different now, but even with anger clouding her judgment she couldn’t deny that the hellhound was physically more powerful than she was. Akeelah wasn’t a weakling, but she couldn’t match his raw physical power. There was a still chance that she could lose this fight. And what if she did win anyway? Would she have to kill him to make him stop pursuing her for good? Could she really end his life if things came down to that?
When he gave her one last chance to surrender the leopard just growled in response. ”Apologies don’t work like that hun.” she snarled. ”I was right to leave you, and I refuse to make such a stupid mistake of my own accord. I’ve been on my own long before meeting you and frankly I was better off. Do you really think that trying to force me to come with you is going to make things better? Because it won’t. I won’t forgive you for what you have done, and I will hate for doing so with my dying breath.”

A cocktail of emotions surged into the young male’s head. Feelings of regret would worm into his skull, and get stomped out by his untamed rage. As much as the male wished to stay calm, he couldn’t as long as his hellhound emotions remained present. Oh how he wanted for Akeelah to just roll over in submission and give into his desires. This of course wasn’t going to happen. Akeelah was an intelligent creature. She wouldn’t fall for Guillotine’s antics. Just knowing this made Guillotine’s blood boil, he wanted things to go back to ‘normal’. The young shifter made it clear that things could never go back to the way it used to be. Just knowing this angered the irritated hellhound.
Guillotine eyed Akeelah’s sleek feline frame. His beady blood red eye was searching for a nice tender place to dig his fangs into. He could beat her to an inch of her life. As long as she was still alive it would be ok right? He did warn her, and she still refused to accept his apology. Perhaps he was stupid to ask for one. Gil shook the thought from his head as Akeelah spoke again. Her leopard frame took a defensive stance. Her words seemed to bother him. The male’s ears pulled back against his head, and his tail stood erect onto his back side. A loud boisterous growl surfaced from his throat and rumbled through his chest like an earthquake.
Hate, the word sent a chill of despair up Guillotine’s spine. It was the last word he wanted to hear come out of Akeelah’s mouth. She hated him now, and she wouldn’t forgive him, not ever. IT seemed that Akeelah truly despised him now. What was a hellhound like him to do? Guillotine bared his fangs. The woman had got on his last nerve. With the word hate still buzzing around his head like a swarm of angry bees. Guillotine lunged forward like an idiot. His hesitant manner seemed to have evaporated thanks to his fiery hot temper. He couldn’t accept the fact that their relationship was over. Instead he allowed his anger to control him. The male didn't speak. Not once. His usual smart-ass attitude was gone, it had been replaced by his beastly nature. The hellhound aimed for Akeelah’s face. He would crush her head if given the chance. If the feline didn’t move, she would get a face full of fangs.
