OUT OF CHARACTER & ACTIVITY RULES • Obey ProBoards TOS and respect others. No exceptions. Read the rules and guidelines set up specifically for you, because we can tell when people haven't. • Don't be a dick, dude. ○ Do NOT copy anything from another source which is not your own work. Plagiarism counts as being a dick. On a side note, sarcasm is our native language here and if you do not speak it, we are very sorry for the inconvenience. • Image Standards: ○ Signature images should not stretch the forum or be more than 300px in height. ○ Avatar images should be 150 x 150. ○ Hover images are 200x300. ○ Please avoid anything that flashes obnoxiously or shakes, for the safety (and sanity) of everyone. If you don't know for sure, just ask us! We'll be happy to advise you. • Regarding IC and OOC Activity: ○ If you do not post for two weeks after joining you will be removed (including OOC accounts). ○ If you do not begin a character bio after two weeks (excluding OOC accounts) you will be removed. ○ If you do not log in for 1 month, and you have no accepted character, you will be removed. ○ If you do not log in for 2 months but you have an accepted character, you will be moved to our Inactive group. ○ If you remain inactive for 3 months and have not posted in the Exits & Entrances board, you will be removed. ○ If you do not respond to an activity check in the allotted time, and the admins were not given notice in the Exits & Entrances board, your account(s) will be placed into the Inactive group. ○ If you need more away time, please let us know in the Exits & Entrances board. We are very understanding with needing to be away. ○ Posting in the Exits & Entrances board allows for four SAFE months without logging in. At fives months with no log in or word of needing an extension, your owned business (if applicable) will be relinquished as well as your faceclaim, and your character will be considered "missing" unless otherwise specified. ○ Six months total without logging in, NO MATTER WHAT, will result in being removed, and 3 months without logging in with no notification will result in removal, to recap. ○ If you are listed as inactive and want to be removed from that list before the next activity check, you can use your points to be removed HERE Note: Since activity is defined as LOGGING IN and not posting, this should not be too difficult. |
IN CHARACTER & CREATION INFORMATION • Regarding Character Activity: ○ You may have as many characters as you can keep active. ○ Your display name MUST be your character's first AND last name (though nicknames such as "Sue Smith" instead of "Susan Smith" are fine, and nicknames like "Susan 'Curlycue' Smith" are acceptable as well), properly capitalized if last name applies. I don't care if your character's real name is "Sarah Smith" and they're known best as "Chair", do whichever suits your fancy. I honestly only care that it's capitalized properly and identifies your character. ○ Your character does NOT have to have a last name. • Regarding Character Creation: ○You may use a celebrity playby, an animated playby (examples being Death Note, The Last of Us, basically anything you animetrash video game cartoon freaks can think of), an original art playby drawn by yourself, or something else I didn't list. Don't you dare say "Pokemon", I s2g. ○ You don't even have to have a playby. ○ You may submit your own race or choose from those listed here ○ If you are basing your race on another, please give credit.○ No Pokemon. Please. If you want to make a character that is completely identical to a Pokemon, be my guest. But don't call it a Pokemon. Come up with your own name for it. Wanna make a Pikachu? Fine. Make a yellow mouse that shoots lightning from its body and call it an "Electric Bender" or some sh*t like that. MAKE IT COOL FOR GOD'S SAKE ○ The same goes for Digimon. ○ You may create your own races/sub-races. Half-breeds can be their own race if you want, meaning if you wanna mix a demon and a mermaid and call it a "Dermaid" that's totally fine, you do you, loser. ○ Gods are absolutely NOT acceptable. ○ You CAN make a Demigod. Just be careful on the OPness like any other character. You're f*ckin' welcome. I would like to note that I am a huge Pokemon and Digimon nerd, so I have no quarrels against y'all lameasses who are anime trash like me. Just keep your lameness away from the App board, okay? Akee and I can't take Poke/Digimon seriously, as much as we love it. • Regarding Posting: ○ When it comes to word count the rules are simple. For average threads please post a minimum of 200 words. Anything less than that GTFO D< (Just kidding, there is an easy way around this rule down below...please don't leave D=) ○ Second rule of word count is make sure your partner has something they can respond to! If they complain you have one sentence that doesn't describe anything, then get yo lazy ass a-typing. ○ For all you Note from Akeekitty: 200 words is like one paragraph get your shit together. ○ Reality Shift is rated PG-13. Refrain from excessive violence and sexual content, as this is Proboards' Terms of Service. I want blood, guts, and chocolate cake as much as the next fake, but we can't have you doing the nasty or extensively ripping someone apart. This includes in PMs. For some reason, 13 year olds find all that upsetting. I dunno, bro. ○ If you're not at least 13, then you can't be here. Sorry m8, go back to playing Pokemon. It's not that we don't want you, we just can't have lil babies running around. ○ Do not hijack, godmod, or powerplay (without permission). See: Rule 2, "Don't be a dick, dude". ○ After a month of inactivity, a thread will be locked and archived. You may have it unlocked and moved back by simply asking an admin (Akeekitty , Elemental ).
