CREATION GUIDELINES So you're new, right? And you don't know how things run around here. That's coo, that's coo. We've all gotta start somewhere! I'll help you out, and if you have any questions, PM me or Akee! Step one: Create your new account. Make the username whatever you want, as long as it's something you'll remember, but make the display name (the name that shows up when you post, it's usually your username until you change it) includes your character's first and last name (or whatever they go by). Step two: Edit your character's display name in their profile. Make sure it has your character's first AND last name (if they have one), properly spelled and capitalized. Anything else after that is optional. Step three: COMPLETELY fill out your mini-profile. Try not to make the species name too long or else it'll make the code all uneven and unappealing. But include your character's age (writing "Unknown" is fine), species, author link, author name, and application link. It is preferred that you fill out Plotter and Tracker as well, even if you don't have either. Just include a link to something, like the RS homepage. It just makes it look nicer! Your bio will NOT be accepted unless this is totally filled out. Step four: Sort your character into the IC Account membergroup. Go to your Profile > Groups > IC Account. Bam! This is is just as mandatory as the mini-profile. Step five: Create the thread for your character. First name Last name order (unless they don't have a last name) and fill out the app. Step six: Go to the Playby/Faceclaim thread and see if you playby is available. If it is, yay! Make your character! If not, either choose a new playby or ask the person with that playby if they are willing to share. Step seven: Post in the Application Notification thread when you are COMPLETELY done with your character. Fill out the Playby code and Species code here (species code is mandatory unless your character is PURELY 100% normal no-powered human, or if the species you are choosing is already on the list). A mod will see this and review your app, and either reply with an "ACCEPTED" template or a "DENIED" template, and delete your reply to the thread. If your bio is denied, you will be sent a PM of what you must fix. When you do this, you will go back to the Application Notification thread and post your link again. Step eight: Roleplay, roleplay, roleplay! You did it! Just remember that all of these steps are mandatory and you will be denied if we find that you did not follow them. We have a lot to do, even if it doesn't seem like it, and it's a lot easier on us if each member chips in what they can than the TWO of us doing everything for everyone, yeah? |
