The tension between the hound and the leopard was so thick that you could cut it with a knife. Akeelah glared at Gil as she circled around him, fangs bared and growling like the vicious animal she was. An angry leopard was the last thing anyone wanted to deal with. Those wild cats were fierce when they fought, and their razor sharp claws and fangs could spell death for anyone that was unfortunate enough to have them sink into their flesh. But as strong as Akeelah and her kind were they paled in comparison to the ferocious beast growling back at her. It was hard to ignore just how big and frightening Guillotine could be in his true form. The large male easily towered over even the biggest of her species in his beast form, and at her puny size Guillotine may as well have been a god damn giant. And a pissed off giant at that.
In hindsight it wasn't too smart of her to push his buttons like that. Akeelah knew well enough by now just how dangerous Guillotine’s temper could be. She had deliberately made him angry and now she was about to pay for the consequences for that. This outcome was unavoidable though. Even if Akeelah had tried to put him down nicely he would’ve taken it badly. She was right, after what he had done their relationship as they had known it was over. Even if she had given him another chance she’d always have doubts about what he was doing, or who he was with. She would be too paranoid about having him leave her sight, and judging by how selfish he was being now that paranoia would be justified. Akeelah had enough pride in herself that she couldn’t just let anyone walk over her, no matter how strongly she felt for them.
But despite her resolve to stand her ground on this the shifter couldn’t help but worry about going this far. All she wanted was for Guillotine to leave her for good, so they could both move on with their lives. She didn’t want this, she didn’t want to fight. And even now, she didn’t want to kill him. With the way things were going right now she might have to do it. It wouldn’t be easy, but it was either she fight with the intent to kill, like he no doubt was going to do, or get killed by her ex. All in all, not the greatest options to choose from. Guillotine didn’t speak again after what Akeelah said. Instead the male chose to go the more aggressive route. The moment that Guillotine lunged for her Akeelah ducked out of his path, quickly the shifter turned around to pounce at his side, aiming to sink her claws and fangs into the male’s shoulders before he could make another move.

Guillotine was rearing to go. His heart had begun to race, pumping dangerously high levels of testosterone and adrenaline into his raging system. The male’s muscles clenched under his leathery flesh as he watched his ex circle him. She bearded her fangs and even let lose a loud roar. Guillotine did the same in return. The young male had picked a foe he thought he could handle. This wasn’t the first time the couple had a major disagreement, however it was the first time Akeelah was fighting back. Guillotine was confident in his power, unfortunately, a little too confident. The possibility of killing Akeelah during this skirmish didn’t come to mind as anger and rage began to take over. Once the male blood began to boil there was little to nothing he could do to control his anger.
This female would prove to be a formidable foe. Gil did recall watching leopards fight on the tv. They fought like any other kind of cat, Using their fangs and claws like blades, to viscously cut into the flesh of their opponents. As long as Gil stayed away from her teeth and claws he would be ok, right? The male was underestimating the power that Akeelah held in her grasp. Leopards may be small, but the little beasts could pack quite a punch when angered. Guillotine would learn this the hard way.
Without hesitating, Guillotine had lunged forward with his fangs beard and claws poised like talons. This was an idiotic move on his part. Akeelah dodged this attack with ease, before sweeping around to Guillotine’s side. She opened her gaping jaws and dug her fangs into the hound’s shoulder. A loud roar erupted from Guillotine’s throat. Next were the claws. Oh god, those damn claws dug into the hellhound’s flesh, and clung to his inner muscle like little hooks. The hellhound roared as he began to thrash around. Gil bucked like an angry bull in a rodeo. He would do whatever he could to get Akeelah off. Gil tilted his head to the side in an attempt to bite at the angry feline. He twirled around and around like a dog chasing its tail. After a minute or so of chomping nothing but air the beast managed to clamp down onto the feline’s tail. Once his jaws closed around the fluffy mass he didn’t let go. Instead he began to tug on it like some sort of toy. HE hoped to get his jaws around a fleshier part of the female’s body.

Akeelah was able to dodge the raging male’s assault with ease, and land an attack of her own without trouble. The second that Akeelah dodged the attack she spun around to sink her fangs and claws into Guillotine’s shoulder. The leopard didn’t give the poor male any mercy as she sunk those fangs deep into his flesh. The hellhound’s cry only made her bite harder. The blood that flowed into her mouth made her forget for a moment what was going on. Her feline instincts were beginning to take over. She hung onto Guillotine like she would an antelope, clinging on tightly as she tried to use her body weight to force the beast down on the ground so she could get a better shot at biting down on his neck and ending the fight right then and there. Unfortunately Guillotine was a lot bigger than an antelope, it would take a great deal more effort to try and bring the male down to the ground. Instead of falling down Guillotine tried to wrap his jaws around her to pry her off of him.
Sadly for Gil that task would be difficult. Akeelah shifted a bit to keep herself out of reach of the hellhound’s vicious jaws. He spun around a few times as he tried to grab her without success. Akeelah just clung tighter to what little space she had and growled. Let the fool try! He wasn’t going to get her that easily…or so she thought. Soon enough she felt his teeth crash down hard on her vulnerable tail. The feline let out a muffled scream as she felt the bones in her tail snap on impact. Fuck! That bastard had her tail! Though it made more sense for her to keep hanging onto Gil Akeelah couldn’t help but let go of him. The leopard release her hold on Gil, just long enough for her to try and lunge at his face with her blood soaked claws. It didn’t matter to her where she got him, so long as he let her tail go before he could rip it off.

A dark river of crimson began to trail down Guillotine’s leg. The feline was doing quite a number on his shoulder. She would do a lot more damage if he didn’t pry her off soon. When Akeelah tightened her grip onto his side, the male winced before biting down harder onto her tail until he heard an all too familiar snap. Guillotine was crushing the female’s bones under the strength of his jaws. The next step would be to pull the damn thing from her body. Oh how he would enjoy hearing her cry out in pain. He wanted Akeelah to suffer now that she had the nerve to attack him like this. He wished to pin the feisty feline under his paws and tear her bottom jaw off. Perhaps he would be too satisfied with that outcome. Now that instinct began to take over the two beasts there would be less emotion and more bloodshed. The male could feel her applying more pressure onto his body. He snorted and continued to stand strong. There was no way a small leopard could take him down right?
Just as Guillotine was about to give Akeelah’s tail a nice hard tug, the female released him. Perfect! Now he could go for the throat. With instinct pulling the strings Guillotine released Akeelah’s tail. He wished to dig his fangs into an appendage that stored a little more meat. Did Guillotine intend on eating Akeelah? Perhaps he would if given the chance. The woman had caused the male so much grief that he wouldn’t hold back, not on this fight. The beast licked the fresh blood from his maw as his head snapped around to face Akeelah. The female was coming at him! Her bloodied claws where poised to strike the hound down. Thinking quickly, the large beast lowered his head and opened his jaws in an attempt to clamp down onto Akeelah’s chest or stomach. He would be lucky to get his jaws around anything.

Her tail hurt like hell, more so than she thought would be possible. The damn hellhound fought dirty. Out of all the places he could grab her it just had to be her tail. Though Akeelah should’ve been grateful that he didn’t grab a more useful appendage it was still painful enough to make her let go. It was either she release him and free herself now, or have the bastard rip her poor tail off. Sadly things were only going to get worse for her in this fight now. When Akeelah let Guillotine go he let her tail go as well. But just as she went in to attack again, Guillotine went after her again. Gil lowered his head just enough to not only avoid get a face full of teeth and claws, but also enough to get a mouthful of her chest. The pain was instant, she would’ve cried out if she didn’t try to land a bite in still. Her fangs, instead of digging themselves into the hellhound’s face, tried to burrow themselves into the male’s neck instead. The leopard bit down harder when he bit her. If she had gotten a good grip on his throat she would pretty much be suffocating the male. If she was lucky, maybe she could get him off of her before he could do more damage.
((Sorry for the short post, there wasn’t much else to add in here XD))

So much for apologies, Gil’s previous attempt to mend their relationship was thrown in the toilet. Now the two beasts where out for blood. Both fighters had managed to wound one another in this little brawl. Guillotine couldn’t help but to smirk as the licked Akeelah’s crimson from his maw.
Once the beast got as good grip on Akeelah’s hid it would be hard to get him off. The taste of blood surged into his throat, and feed his beastly lust. Akeelah would have to pull off her best trick yet if she wished to wriggle of out Guillotine’s clutches. As soon as his jaws closed around Akeelah’s flesh the male chuckled in triumph. He had the bitch right where he wanted her. Oh how he wished to hear her cry out in pain. No such noise came. Why!? Why didn’t she cry out for mercy? Guillotine soon learned why. Soon after digging his fangs into Akeelah’s chest, the female made an attack of her own. She used her flexibility to her advantage and managed to reach around and dig her fangs into Guillotine’s throat. The pain was instant, so was the feeling of being smothered. He was stupid not to properly protect himself but instead focused on attacking. If he had played it smart he wouldn’t be in this situation.
No matter, the male had a trick or two up his bloody sleeve. The pain was unbelievable. He could feel it spiral down his spine. The large beast’s beady blood red eyes winced, his nose flared in an attempt to in heal with no avail. If the pain wasn’t bad enough, He could fell himself get a little light headed. This wasn’t good, not good at all. If he didn’t get her off quick he would curly be kitty chow. With his fangs tightly clutching the young female, he lifted his head before slamming her body into the ground. He had yet to let go, as he continued to do this over and over. Sooner or later the female would have to break her grip right? Perhaps he shouldn’t be underestimating the suborn female. Surly it would take a lot more to shake her off.

Things were not going so well for the little leopard right now. Not like there was a chance that things with Guillotine were going to end well in the first place. Akeelah knew that the second she saw Guillotine again that whatever was left of their relationship was going to descend into chaos. This was the very reason that she had tried to avoid the hellhound all this time, she didn’t want to fight, especially like this. But it was too late, her ex-mate found her and now because of their anger and frustration with each other they were going to rip each other’s faces off. With the way things were going only one of them might walk out of this alive…and that didn’t look like it was going to be her who did. It was a mistake to let Guillotine go the first time. Though he had broken her tail, and no doubt would’ve ripped the poor thing off if given half the chance, the damage that would’ve been a lot less than what she was doing to him at the time. Akeelah could’ve lived without a tail right? It wasn’t that big of a deal.
Logically it would’ve made more sense to just let him have the damn thing so she could end the fight quicker and live to tell about it. But in a panic she let him go instead, and now she was paying for that. Once set free Guillotine took advantage of the situation to clamp down on her chest instead. The pain that ran through her sent the shifter into a bigger panic than before. In that moment Akeelah knew that she was screwed if she didn’t do something to get him off. Unlike her kind, who’s fighting and hunting style was designed to allow them to kill quickly in only a few blows, canines fighting style was more about endurance. Their jaws were made for locking down on their prey and not let go till their victim bled to death, if they shook them enough they could do even more damage to quicken the process. It was even worse with Hellhounds. Getting grabbed by hellhound was like being attacked by a pack of hyenas. Unless she could force him to let her go Akeelah was as good as dead.
Things were not looking good, but Akeelah didn’t let the situation beat her. When Gil bit her, she bit back, moving herself just enough to clamp down on his throat. Now Akeelah had the large beast in her death grip. He could hold onto her all he wanted but eventually he’d run out of air and get weak. Once he was too weak to fight anymore she’d leave him where he was and run. It might be stupid to leave Gil alive after this but somewhere deep down she still couldn’t do it, besides, she had her own wounds to attend to. Sadly Gil wasn’t going to make this easy. Despite having an angry leopard hanging onto his throat he managed to lift his head up just enough to slam the feline’s back onto the forest floor. The force was hard enough to stun the creature, forcing her to let go of the only edge that she had. Akeelah was screwed.
