Jesse never thought that he would be coming back to this place so soon. Luna’s was an unusual place to find Jesse Cox in period. Luna’s was a store that catered to high income women with good fashion sense, and Jesse was no woman. He didn’t have any girlfriend to buy clothes for, and though he had quite a few female friends he wasn’t here to buy any of them some kind of gift, and if he was planning to get something for one of his lady friends, it wouldn’t be clothing. So why was the man there for? Why he came to see someone of course, but not just anyone, he had come here to see the owner of this establishment. It had been a few weeks since Jesse had last came into this store looking for information about the victim on a murder case he and his group had been working on. The victim had been an employee at this place, and had died only a few feet away from the shop itself. At the time he thought it was a good place to start by investigating the victim of the case, and possibly find information leading to her killers.
This case had been one hell of a ride to deal with. It wasn’t just because it was his first real case since coming to the PIDA. By the time that Jesse had taken the case there was little to nothing on the three suspects that they had to capture. Though the three supernaturals had shown their true forms and attacked some poor innocent woman in the middle of a busy street, the three of them had just disappeared off the face of the earth. He had figured that if the case hadn’t been resolved back then, then it never would. But not long after picking it up, he and his partner Toby had found one of the suspects. From that point on the whole case had been one giant game of cat and mouse with that one suspect. Guillotine, the vicious, bloodthirsty hellhound who left so many corpses everywhere he went…and got away with it.
After their first encounter Jesse had made it his goal to bring the bastard in. Not because he couldn’t stand being beat by such a homicidal brute, but because of what he did. Every day that Guillotine walked free people died. He wanted to take him off the streets to keep the general public safe. It was that desire for justice that brought him here. In the end Jesse got the information he needed, and even more, but not without a fight from his informant first. His informant was not entirely to blame though. Jesse hadn’t been the nicest person to the guy when they started off, he did try to make it up to the man in the end, and they did leave on a good foot, but Jesse still felt bad about it. Soon that would change. Today he planned to fulfill a promise he had made to the man that helped him out that day. Jesse wasn’t the kind of man that would back out of his word. He had said that he was going to tell Akhtar news about Gil, and by god he was going to do it.
He wasn’t going to do this on his own though. This time he had John with him. Despite Jesse’s protests his old friend insisted to tag along. Try as he might, he couldn’t get the other man to change his mind. Since Jesse’s arm broke in their last fight together, John had been sticking to his side like glue whenever they were on the job. It got annoying sometimes but Jesse dealt with it, it was kind of useful to have someone to give him an extra hand when he needed it. The men walked into the store together, and looked around the place. The store was bustling with activity, but so far they couldn’t see the owner. “I guess he might be somewhere in the back.” Jesse said. Hopefully he was still around today.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?”John asked warily. Jesse just rolled his eyes at him. TB made it no secret how much he didn’t like Jesse’s intentions, like with most of his ideas before that. He couldn’t really blame the other man for trying to talk him out of it. Akhtar shouldn’t have known anything about what he was doing in the first place. But Jesse had little choice during their first meeting but to tell the man who he was and what he was doing here. It wasn’t the best outcome in the world but he could trust Akhtar enough not to go outing him out to the world for what he had said that day. TB was just being paranoid.
“I made a promise and I intend to keep it. Trust me bro, I got this. The guy isn’t as bad as you think.” He reassured his friend. John could be a little hard to persuade at times but he knew that the man would come around soon. Jesse and John walked around the store and slipped into the back, keeping an eye out for any of the employees as well as trying to recall where the prince’s office was. Fortunately it didn’t take them long to find the office. “This is it.” Jesse said. “Just remember, follow my lead and try to be nice. He’s really not a bad guy.” With that he turned to the door and knocked with his good hand. “Hey, Ahktar. Are you in there?”

Sitting in his office Akhtar ran his hands through his hair. It was the end/beginning of the month, so for Akhtar it was report time. He had to get all of his accounting done. He also had to reorder for both of the stores. With Gil no longer there he was having to spend far more time at Luna than he would like. He really needed to find a new store manager. He was so tired of having late nights at the stores. He had events to attend plus balancing the stores. He didn't know how he was managing. He definitely had to get someone in here...and FAST.
Akhtar let his thoughts run from him as he silently cursed Gil for causing so much havoc and then leaving everyone to hold all of the broken pieces. AKhtar looked at the screen and sighed. Since the last time Gil made contact with Akhtar it was shortly after Jesse first made Akhtar aware of everything that had taken place only a few feet away from his store. He couldn't believe all of this had taken place. He knew GIl was a bit volatile but he didn't expect him to cause so much chaos. Akhtar definitely would stick up for Gil when necessary but he had gone too far. It was no way Akhtar could rationalize this vicious behavior to the PIDA agents.
Akhtar chuckled to himself when he thought of Jesse. He and the man definitely did not get along upon first meeting one another. Akhtar was on the verge of turning the man into a spider and keeping him in a jar or something along those lines. He had to laugh at himself as he thought about it. They both seemed to have very strong personalities, perhaps Akhtar's was a bit more dominant? He won their stare down that they had.
As his own thoughts ran all over the place there was a knock on the door. It brought Akhtar back to reality. He wondered who it could be. Most of his employees tried not to call on him during the time he is doing the books and making the orders. They knew how much it took out of him. Then he found out he was wrong when the voice spoke through the door. It was Jesse. What brought him here, Akhtar wondered. The wizard straightened the papers up on his desk a bit and waved his hand towards the door. The knob turned and Akhtar spoke as the door slowly opened, "Come in!" Akhtar looked up from his desk and said before Jesse could walk in, "So Jesse tell me what brings you to my store today?"

Jesse knocked on the door and waited for a response. He really hoped that Akhtar was in there. This had to be his office, he was sure that is was anyway. It wasn’t like there were many other rooms in the back of the store that the prince could be hiding in. That was assuming that he was in Luna’s at all. The wizard himself admitted the first time that they met that he wasn’t always around the building. It was possible that he was elsewhere. Sadly there was no way of telling for sure where Akhtar would go if not this place. Jesse didn’t have much of a chance to learn more about the wizard prince after their first meeting to know where the man went on a daily basis. This was the only place that he could think of, and Jesse hoped that luck was on his side this time. And for once luck was on his side. Not long after Jesse started knocking did the door swing open…on its own, but it opened. One quick look into the room answered Jesse’s question.
Jesse beamed at the wizard. “Hey there buddy, long time no see.” He said cheerfully as he stepped inside the room, with his partner in toe. Her couldn’t help but notice the large pile of paperwork that was gathered at the prince’s desk. It was like the same scene during their first meeting. That had to suck for Akhtar, having to deal with so much paperwork had to be a pain. Fortunately Jesse didn’t have to deal with much of that yet, but he could understand how annoying that could be. “I see you are at the books again. Sorry for bothering you on such short notice, but I wanted to pay you a little visit.” Jesse turned to his partner as the other man closed the door, for a second he almost forgot that John had been there. “Oh, by the way this is my friend and partner John.”
John walked over to Akhtar’s desk and offered his hand. “Nice to meet you.” The brit said. After John was introduced the wizard prince asked Jesse what he was doing over here.
"Well, I am not here on any official business, so you don't need to worry about that." came the immediate reply. "But you remember when we first met, I told you I would give you an update over what was going on with the case I was working on?...Well, as my way of saying thanks for the information you gave me I came to bring you some news. We finally caught him."

((It's okay...I hope I can get a good post out!!))
Akhtar gave Jesse a warm welcoming smile. He took John's hand and gave him the typical businessmen handshake. He couldn't put his finger on it but he could tell that John was a bit tense. His aura spoke for itself. He might have tried to to portray he was relaxed but his aura betrayed him. Akhtar spoke to the pair and said, "Please gentlemen, have a seat...No need to stand around all tense. You say you're not here on business why not take a load off. Would either of you like something to drink?" Akhtar looked at John when he said the word "tense." For a moment AKhtar was tempted to simply wave his hand and have a tray appear out of thin air and have drinks from his fridge float onto the tray and simply float around the room.
He decided against it. He didn't want to ruffle any feathers. After all he was dealing with PIDA. After his first showdown with Jesse he didn't want to have to go that route again. He hated having to flex his "muscles." He didn't want to be that obnoxious royal who thought he was above the law. He wanted to do nothing but live as he had been.
After all the of the pleasantries had taken place Jesse decided to waste no time in letting Akhtar know why they were there. His breath caught in his chest a bit. Did Jesse really say he had captured Gil? Akhtar wanted to stop all conversation and demand that Jesse take him to him but that wouldn't be appropriate. Akhtar wanted answers. He actually had quite a bit of anger towards Gil. He hadn't lied to him but he hadn't told him the truth either. What was he to know of all this? All he wanted to know was WHY...His jaw tightened up a bit. He looked to Jesse and said, "Have you now?" He raised an eyebrow and said, "Has he opened up about anything? Has he given you any type of indication as of his mindset and why he decided to run?"

Jesse’s smile was greeted with an equally warm smile from the prince. If there had been any hostility between the two that still remained it was hard for Jesse to notice. He was happy about that. Though Jesse could be a little hot headed when he was in a bad mood he never was one to hold a grudge. He was the type of man that just let his rage fly and then dropped it immediately. It didn’t take long after the man blew up for him to go back to his old goofy self afterwards. Those closest to him could easily brush off his less than pleasant moments, but those he wasn’t that close with didn’t always forgive. At least Akhtar seemed to be one of the few who could forgive him. Even if he wasn’t, Jesse was sure that his news would change things, for better or for worse though he couldn’t be certain. For now the man didn’t say anything beyond introducing his buddy John. Both the wizard and brit shook hands, and Akhtar asked them both if they’d like to take a seat.
John glanced over to Jesse at the mention of him being tense, giving the man a questioning look. Jesse just shrugged in reply. He had told his partner beforehand that Akhtar was really a wizard, but he had no idea if made the man a mind reader or not. While John was pretty good at hiding his real thoughts when he had to (like right now for instance) it was hard for those that didn’t know him well to tell what he was thinking. But Jesse didn’t have to know beforehand how John felt about this meeting to tell that he was a little tense. The pair brushed the issue a side and sat down. “No thanks, I’m good.” Jesse replied when Akhtar asked them if they wanted a drink. John also shook his head.
With that out of the way Jesse wasted no time in telling Akhtar why he had come in for a visit. The man looked a little surprised to hear what he had to say. Jesse couldn’t blame him for being surprised. It hadn’t been that long ago since Akhtar first caught wind of what Gil had done. The last time the Egyptian had heard from Gil it was just before he had ran out of the country. Even Jesse had thought that they were never going to catch that blasted hellhound for awhile, if at all. Yet here they were… he didn’t know whether he’d call it luck or bad luck how things had turned out. “Yes…well, I didn’t take him down on my own I had a little help.” He nodded towards John.
“A little help? I had to get that thing off of you and subdue him myself.” John replied. “Your little hell dog friend tried to rip our friend’s arm off. Poor guy couldn’t get him off without my help.”
“Hey, I wasn’t completely helpless! I at least got a few good shots in when he was on me.” He retorted. “And if my power worked right I could’ve done a lot more…” he mumbled that last remark. Once again Jesse’s not so awesome superpower had failed him. It was hard to forget the moment he had tried to use his gift to defend himself against Guillotine’s surprise attack. What Jesse had wanted to do was transform like Gil had so they could fight on even ground. But instead of changing his form, all he managed to do was change his hair colour and his arm broken. He was lucky that he had dragged TB with him around the school, if John had not used his powers to bail Jesse out he would’ve been killed.
“And once you recover you are going to go back to train with that power of yours, so something like this doesn’t happen again.”
“Yes mother…” Jesse cleared his throat and turned his attention back to Akhtar. “Anyways~…we’ve got Gil now, he’s alive but we can’t officially start questioning him yet till he recovers. I can’t give you any answers about what he’s been up to before his arrest since I never got the chance to question him but-“ once again Jesse turned to his partner. While Jesse had been unconscious after their fight with the rabid hellhound John had gone to have a little chat with the brute. John had never gone into much detail about what the two had talked about when John had confessed about going behind his back, but he had to know something. “Maybe my partner can.” John shot Jesse a dirty look which the man was quick to ignore, giving his friend a pleading look of his own. Though TB had insisted that Jesse should wait till the official interrogation to hear the whole story Jesse was too curious to wait that long. And he wasn’t the only one that needed answers too.
“Oh alright.” TB sighed and turned his attention to Akhtar. “I already asked a bit about the case with Guillotine and he admitted that he was the one responsible for killing your employee. While I didn’t ask him at the time why he didn’t turn himself in. You don’t have to know the bloke to tell that he doesn’t like to take responsibility for his actions, nor does he feel any kind of remorse for what he has done. If he was he wouldn’t have thrown the dead girl he killed and attacked us when we gave him the chance to surrender.”

Akhtar although upset with Gil for what he has done was not completely sure that they were painting an accurate picture of Gil. He didn't know what they were trying to insinuate nor did he like it. He had explained to Jesse the last time he was here that he was sure the picture they were painting wasn't completely accurate. He trusted Gil with his own life. Sure he didn't expect them to feel the same exact way but he didn't want to come off as if he were defending Gil's actions, which he wasn't. He sighed and spoke up,"Gentlemen...please forgive me for my views but I am not entirely sure on this picture you are painting. I understand your views on Gil but I can't help but slightly disagree. The man would not just attack and kill without cause. I think there is a big conversation that needs to be had."
Akhtar was no PIDA agent nor was he attempting to be one. He didn't want to overstep his boundaries. He was just giving his honest humble opinion. Coming from his royal bloodline and being Prince gave him lessons in listening to some cases where his father would have to pass judgment on the case. Akhtar was just programed to listen to both sides before he would pick a side. He felt that because they had personal issues with Gil it was clouding their judgment on the case. They were letting their ill-feelings lead them. He had expressed this in his conversation with Jesse. It was no way he was getting through to them though. They had their minds made up. Gil was a menace to society and he had to be dealt with immediately. Akhtar smirked to himself because they obviously hadn't met Havoc yet. HE was the one who strutted through the town as if he owned the place.
He would constantly crash high end events as if he were to be there. HE was the true menace be they were not there to discuss him. He looked between the two men that sat at the front of his desk. There was slight tension building in the air. Akhtar wasn't sure what was causing it. Perhaps it was the differing views on the subject matter. He wouldn't change his though just to please the men. They were all entitled to their opinions. He spoke once more saying, "You all have already found Gil completely guilty. Which he is guilty of killing someone yes, but WHY did he kill someone? Why did he feel the need to attack her? It had to be something that went on to make him feel as if he were in some form of danger. I can't say what the reason was as I was not there. I just ask you all to keep a clear mind and hear him out. Don't let personal prejudice," He turned to Jesse as he said this, "Be your deciding factor. Remember there are two sides to every story. You all have to give Gil a chance to explain. If you don't then you will never have true justice..."

Jesse listened intently to what his partner had to say about Gil. This was the man’s first time hearing about his friend’s private chat with the hellhound in better detail. John had confessed to him and the rest of the group that he had a little chat with the beast once they had found out he, Spoon, and Nova had been hiding Akeelah. But John only told them enough that their captive claimed that the shapeshifters were innocent. John had his reasons for not saying more than that of course, the brit didn’t want to reveal too much until they could do their official interrogation. Jesse trusted his old friend enough to take his word on the girl’s innocence, but it was killing the man not knowing the full details. Sadly John didn’t say much even now, he was choosing his words carefully, only saying what he could to answer Akhtar without revealing more. It was a little disappointing but Jesse would have to just wait and see if his friend would open up.
What Akhtar said next caught both men by surprise. Both Jesse and John looked at the prince in confusion. Though the look on John’s face was worse than his, the look John gave him practically saying ‘you can’t be serious’. John was about to speak but Jesse quickly stopped him. As amazing as Akhtar’s view on the issue was Jesse could understand the way the guy thought. While Jesse wasn’t sure just how close the wizard and hound had been they were obviously close. It wasn’t easy for the prince to help Jesse capture his friend. Though Akhtar seemed like the kind of no nonsense kind of guy, who would easily point out when you did something wrong or acted stupid, Gil was still his friend it couldn’t be easy to think that Gil was a psychotic killer for no reason.
“I know that you and Gil were close, and you should know the guy better than we do. But you have to consider that you could be just as wrong about this as we could be.” He said gently. “I won’t say that I don’t have a bit of a bias here. I didn’t like Gil from the start, and after he practically mauled me I really don’t like him. But when I look past the shit he’s done to make me hate him it’s hard to say that he’s not a cold hearted killer. Even if I look past what happened with that Elizabeth girl and the people he killed in front of me and Toby the first time I tried to arrest him, he’s nothing but bad news. For Christ sakes when we found him again he had just killed some poor highschooler.” He could still remember the mangled corpse of that teenage girl that Guillotine had thrown at him. Even if he couldn’t really blame Gil for killing that crowd that had swarmed around him during their first encounter, it was hard to see what that girl could’ve done to deserve her fate.
“If he’s willing to attack some girl that couldn’t possibly do anything to him, what’s stopping him from killing someone else over nothing? How many more victims has there been since he’s been free? You can’t tell me that somehow that girl set him off.” The man sighed. That last question was one that he had been asking himself since they caught the guy. Guillotine didn’t seem like the type that would give up killing easily. There was bound to be a nice bloody trail that the PIDA had missed. There was always some nasty pile of bodies left by some supernatural in the city; Gil’s trail may not have been as big as some of the others but that was no excuse to just dismiss him.
“That being said I am not going to past judgment until I heard the full story. It’s not likely that he’s going to get a pass on this but until I hear everything I can’t say for sure how guilty he is on Elizabeth’s case, even if I know about the other ones.” Guillotine was not going to get away, that much Jesse was sure of. Though he wasn’t going to be the ultimate judge on the hellhounds fate, Guillotine had did enough on his own to seal his own fate. But Jesse owed it to him and Akhtar to at least let the guy defend himself, and he was going to do just that.
“…As for why Guillotine killed your female employee…” John spoke up after a moment of silence, “Your friend already made it clear that he killed her over nothing. When I asked him about what had happened that day he said that he had gotten into a fight with the boy named Raffe, and when he had turned and was going to attack him Elizabeth tried to calm him down, and he attacked her instead. He even said, and I quote ‘that bitch deserved it.’” John spoke calmly but Jesse couldn’t help but notice the slight glint in his eye that he didn’t like Akhtar’s remark on him being prejudice. “I also have eye witness account that matches his own story. And another account of how violent he can be when Gil is in a bad mood, on top of the other incidents that the rest of my group have seen. I’m not being prejudice when I say that Guillotine is dangerous and needs to be dealt with, it’s a fact. If left alone he will only hurt more people. Both strangers, and even those he is close to.The best argument you have to justify his actions is his temper, and we both know that that is a very weak excuse.”

Akhtar sighed. It was obvious that these two were not willing to hear anything other than, "Gil is guilty." Which Akhtar was not arguing. He looked to the men and said, "I am not arguing with you all that what Gil did and has done is reprehensible. He has behaved in a manner that is damaging to myself and anyone else associated with him. I am not excusing nor am I condoning what he has done. I am just saying that you all do not know Gil as well as I do. His nature clouds alot of his own thought. Gil is VERY loyal. He may or may not be telling the exact truth. He is a master liar and manipulator. The way he uses his charms to manipulate women. To manipulate situations. Gil isn't all bad though. I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that. "
Akhtar knew that the men weren't going to budge on their stance but neither was he. There was a lot that has led to Gil's current mental state. He knew this and perhaps it was best that they knew this as well. Gil was full of pride and wouldn't be so quick to tell them the truth. He would rather rot in silence out of loyalty than expose the truth for what it really was.
It was an admirable trait Akhtar had to admit. Akhtar sat in silence thinking over his thoughts and his words before he continued to speak. "You know I have no argument to justify his actions. What he did was completely wrong. There is no other way to say it. He has to face the repercussions but know this...Gil will tell you what you want to hear just to get you out of his face. He tends to have a very nonchalant attitude in regards to punishment." Akhtar chuckled to himself as he said the last sentence.

Both Jesse and John listened to what Akhtar had to say. While both men could hardly think that there was really anything remotely good about the hellhound they had to at least give the man some points. It was true that neither of them knew Gil personally, it was hard to try and get friendly with someone that they were supposed to arrest. Especially when said culprit tried to take a bite out of you. It would be impossible for Jesse to ever forgive Gil for breaking his arm, or for anything else that he had done. Even though he was going to have to try to be partial once he went into questioning Jesse was not going to be very nice to the guy. He would keep his word at least. But something that Akhtar said bothered him. Would Gil tell the truth? Naturally the man had doubts on how truthful Guillotine would be when the time came. Sure they would get him to talk one way or another but when he did finally talk he couldn’t be sure if Gil was lying or not.
It was a problem that Jesse didn’t give too much thought about after John had confessed to talking to the hound earlier. But was he right? Yes Jesse trusted John a lot, he knew the man well enough to know that he wouldn’t speak so confidentially unless he knew that he was right. John was a smart and careful man. He always tried to look a problem and find a logical way to tackle them. He was no fool, but it was hard to ignore Akhtar’s point. Gil didn’t seem to be that smart yet he had given the agency the slip before his case was handed to Jesse’s group. He could be charming and sly if he wanted to, so lying wouldn’t be much of a problem. But then again, if he could lie his way out of this why would he confess?
“I’m pretty sure in this case he was telling me the truth.” John spoke up, as if queued by Jesse’s thoughts. “I already heard one side of the story before hand, and what he told me matched the other one’s story.” That was right, according to John both Akeelah’s and Guillotine’s stories matched. Though Jesse didn’t get the chance to talk to Gil yet he too had heard from the shifter what had happened. Unless they had rehearsed the story beforehand it would be hard to doubt that they weren’t both telling the truth. But still…
“He does have a point John. Not to say that are wrong or anything like that, but what if Gil was lying a bit, or keeping something to himself?” John gave him a funny look but he could tell that the man wasn’t disagreeing with him. Jesse thought for a moment about that. Gil was going to be a difficult nut to crack unless they knew how to deal with him. But how? The man turned back to Akhtar. Obviously the one who would know how to make Gil talk was sitting right before him, if only he could take the man with them when the time came. Sadly that would be a tricky thing to do. Akhtar wasn’t an agent or had any real involvement with the PIDA. It would be hard to try and take him along, and John would certainly be against it. As crazy as that idea was Jesse held onto it for now, it was insane but it would be an alright final option if he needed it. “If you were the one that had to question Gil, how would you go about it?” he asked.

Akhtar sighed when he was asked how would he question Gil. He knew how HE would question Gil wouldn't necessarily be the way THEY should question him. Gil had been working for him well over a year now and Akhtar knew him like a book. Akhtar knew that Gil liked to feel as if he were in control and in total power so for the most part he let Gil go with that mindset. It remained this way until trouble came up and Akhtar had to truly remind Gil who was boss. Unlike many who encountered Gil, Akhtar was not fearful of the hellhound in the slightest. While Gil was a hellish being Akhtar came from one of the most powerful magic families and dynasties on Earth. Gil was truly the least of his worries when it came down to it. Gil would give him a run for his money but in the end Akhtar would still prevail.
All million thoughts quickly flashed through Akhtar's mind regarding questioning Gil. He quickly replaced the mental blocks he had surrounding his mind. He didn't know who was, or who wasn't a telepath around the town. It was far too many magical or super powered beings. He didn't want anyone invading his thoughts and if they attempted to they would seriously be receiving the worst attack ever. He would never let anyone know this information of course. Akhtar had always been a patient person but he didn't take insolence well. Gil was often insolent when it came to questioning him.
Akhtar spoke to Jesse and said, "With Gil...I unfortunately can't be my cool and calm self. I have to be an outright monster with him. He is so stubborn and he thinks his way of thinking is the right one. He will appear nonchalant. He will try and blow you off and do his whole macho hellhound deal. So to avoid all of that before we even start the questioning process I tell him flat out I don't want to hear the excuses. The only things I want to hear are the answers to the questions I'm asking. There is nothing more or less. I tell him I don't have time to sit and listen to him all day. I in general don't have too many problems. Occasionally he will become a bit riled up but that ends rather quickly."

Jesse heard the other man sigh before he told them how he would go about questioning the hellhound. It did sound like the man knew how to handle the little monster as well as he had claimed to before. While what he said sounded like it would work Jesse wasn’t sure how well it would work for him and his partner. It wasn’t like he and John weren’t going to be harsh with the beast, Jesse couldn’t wait to verbally tear into the bastard once he got the chance, and rub it into that smug bastard’s face how much trouble he was in, but it would take a lot more than being harsh to get the answers he needed. While Gil might have some respect for the wizard prince he had no respect for the agents. He would still treat them like they were beneath him and give them a hard time. That Jesse was almost certain of. They could get Guillotine to crack if given enough time but it wouldn’t be easy. Again the man felt like maybe he should ask Akhtar to come along but he wasn’t sure.
“You can’t seriously be thinking about what I think you are, are you?” John cut in before Jesse could even think about his next move. The tone in his partner’s voice was one he knew well, it was the same angry tone John used when Jesse was about to do something he thought was extremely stupid. While most of the time Jesse would just laugh it off, the situation was too serious for him to do so. The man stammered for a moment, trying to think of something to say, to reject his friend’s claim but his mind was drawing a blank. That moment of hesitation was enough to give John his answer. “Are you a blooming idiot?!” the man exclaimed. “Out of all the things you could come up with!- No we can’t take him with us!”
“Why not?!” Jesse said, “You and I both know that Gil is going to give us a hard time with this. If we can get someone that knows they guy well enough to help make him talk we can end this thing. Don’t you want to get this over with?”
“But at what cost?” John replied, “How do you think our superiors are going to take it if they see you bringing in a total stranger in to question that thing? No offense.” He said those last words to Akhtar before turning his attention back at Jesse. “It was bad enough that you got this poor man involved in this whole mess in the first place. I know you had no other choice, but as far as anyone else knows he is nothing more than a witness. Not even that! If you bring him in you could get in serious trouble, you could even lose your job. I am not going to let you take the fall because you lost your bloody mind.”
“I am not being stupid, and I am not going crazy either!” Jesse growled back. He let out another sigh and tried to think how to explain himself better. Yes John did have a point that there could be serious repercussions for what he was considering doing. It wasn’t like Akhtar was working for or with the PIDA, it didn’t make much sense for him to drag the man back to base with them for this. But if he did do this, and they got what they needed there would be less chance of him getting the boot. After all, his actions would have gotten the agency what they wanted, who could complain about that? “Yeah Akhtar isn’t an agent like us but he’s not a normal citizen either. He’s not going to get into any trouble for this, and I can come up with some kind of excuse to get out of trouble too. It won’t be too hard to avoid, especially if we get the right answers. You have to trust me on this; it’s not going to end up as bad as you think it will.”
“Right Akhtar?” Jesse looked back at the young Egyptian, silently praying that the other man would agree with him. “You don’t have to come if you don’t want to. But it would really help us, and this way you can get some answers right from Gil himself. What do you say?”
((Gotta love seeing these two argue like an old married couple >.>))

Akhtar sat at his desk looking at the two men as they seemed to have a semi-verbal semi-telepathic conversation. He was utterly confused at their conversation. What were they talking about? Then it was revealed to him in John's outburst. They wanted him to come and question Gil. Well not both of them but Jesse thought it was a good idea. Akhtar on the other hand wasn't so sure. Yes he could easily get it done but he didn't know if that was the correct thing to do. It would in the end put an end to this entire situation and everyone could go on with their lives. He had a lot to say to Gil. A LOT....this would give him the opportunity to say just what he had on his mind. He didn't want to come in between the two agents though.
As the pair continued their "lovers quarrel" so to speak, the young wizard watched in amazement. Akhtar even had to chuckle to himself a time or two. It was obvious who the dominant one was. He laughed to himself when Jesse mentioned that Akhtar wasn't your average citizen. He had diplomatic immunity. That was revealed to Jesse during their very first meeting which got VERY heated. He didn't want to throw his weight around but the agent came in and he was a bit too much for Akhtar's liking. The prince had to let it be known who was really running the show in the high-end store. After the initial excitement died down the two were able to actually have a decent conversation. Once the conversation had turned to him and not them Akhtar was once more all ears. Jesse had come out and point blank asked him to come and question Gil for them.
It seemed that the entire case rested on his answer and willingness to help them. He cocked an eyebrow and said, "Count me in...I will come do it...So when do we leave?"

Jesse knew that his little idea was going to get pissed on the second that he was going to suggest it. He already had an idea on how risky his decision would be. If only he had the time to really consider it he could figure out on his own if it really was the right move. But that wouldn’t happen, it wasn’t like the man came in here thinking about asking the Egyptian wizard to come with him to question Gil he had thought that idea up on the spot. There was little time to think it over seriously, and there was certainly no time to ease John into the idea. The brit was smart enough to figure it out before Jesse could bring it up, and the second he realized what his intentions were he immediately tried to shut it down. Jesse tried his best to try and get John to see things from his view. Which naturally wasn’t easy. In John’s eyes there was little point in trying to prepare for a troublesome suspect if he was already cooperating. He had no doubts that Gil would be honest with them when the time came unlike Jesse. Jesse just didn’t want to take any chances here. He saw an opportunity and he was going to take it.
Before his partner could interject Jesse turned back to Akhtar and asked him straight up if he wanted to go. And much to his relief the younger man agreed. Jesse smiled at him and turned back to John. “See? He thinks it’s a good idea.” John just glared at Jesse. “Come on buddy it’s gonna be fine!” he tried to reassure him. “Please can we take him with us? Please~” there was a moment of silence til finally the brit just sighed and mumbled something about him being ridiculous, but that was all the answer that he needed. The man beamed at Akhtar, satisfied that he finally got his way this time. “So it’s settled then. It’s going to be awhile before we can take you though.” The man explained. “Guillotine is still in recovery, and I have been given some time off to recover too. I think in about a week or a little longer than that we can go take Gil in for questioning. If you give me your phone number or email I can tell you when we can do that and I can pick you up and take you to him.”
“You are not picking him up.” John said, Jesse opened his mouth to protest, thinking that John was still going to be against him when the other man spoke up again. “I told you before that I am not going to let you risk losing your job over this. I can take him to the building when the time comes. I can take the heat for this if things turn ugly. I can probably find a better excuse than you to keep myself out of trouble anyway. Is that alright with you?” John directed that last question to Akhtar.

Akhtar looked at John. He really didn't know how to take the man. He seemed a bit too aggressive for Akhtar. He didn't know this guys angle. Perhaps he was all business? Maybe? Well that would be the reasoning that Akhtar put behind his behavior. It was evident he was the boss between himself and Jesse. Jesse basically did what was told to him from John. Maybe it was an understanding the pair had and Akhtar was over thinking it. He knew best to mind his own business when the situation did not call for his opinion so he did just that.
Continuing to work on reports while listening to the pair he simply nodded his head to show that he was still listening. He didn't want to appear rude but he did have to get these reports done and finished. He had to get with his accountant at the close of business that day to do his taxes. He wanted to be done with that as soon as possible.
When John asked Akhtar if him picking him up would be an issue he simply shrugged his shoulders. It didn't actually matter to him. He didn't know where they were going. Akhtar being himself and not wanting to appear rude he said, "I don't mind. It is all the same thing is it not? In the end I will have to go to some place that I don't now how to get to. You know you all do work for some top secret government agency that many of us normal everyday citizens know nothing about. So just let me know when and where and I will be sure to clear my schedule for the day. I don't do last minute things so please take that into account. I am a very busy man. Don't think you can just call and I can stop everything I'm doing because your schedule finally permits it. I take my businesses very serious. "

So far today’s meeting had gone pretty well in Jesse’s opinion. In fact, it had gone far better than he expected it to go. The man knew that he was going to get a lot of trouble trying to say anything with John nearby, and he knew it would be worse after he considered offering to take Akhtar off to headquarters with them later on. He couldn’t blame his friend of course; the man took this whole agent thing seriously. Maybe a little too seriously at times, but it was a good thing. Their group was the oddest bunch in the agency so half the time everyone just goofed around and fumbled through their work the group desperately needed someone who was more serious. Not like Jesse didn’t take his PIDA work seriously. He didn’t take the job because he thought it would be an interesting pastime, he became an agent to learn how to use his gifts for the greater good. He wanted to become stronger so he could help protect those that couldn’t help themselves. But he lacked direction, and from time to time focus, TB didn’t have that problem so he had no problems pushing Jesse in the right direction, even if he didn’t like it.
It took a bit of persuasion but eventually John caved in. Jesse couldn’t be happier. The man smiled as he let the other two make arrangements. Everything was set, now the only thing left for them to do was to do is kick back and wait till interrogation day. Jesse could only hope that things would run as smoothly as this. Guillotine was bound to cause trouble of course, but with Akhtar there it might be a little better. All their efforts here would be pointless if it wasn’t. After John volunteered to pick Akhtar up the man agreed and insisted that they give him a heads up before hand, saying that he was normally busy and took his work seriously. “As do we.” John replied, and Jesse nodded in agreement. It was a reasonable request that no one could deny the man.
“Don’t worry about that. We are usually busy too so the agency always gives us a call in advance when they want us to come in. I am sure they will call us a few days ahead about the interrogation thing, so we’ll call you when we get the message.” For a moment Jesse considered explaining his other jobs but decided against it. Though the man didn’t bother to hide his true identity from his fellow agents or anyone else he met in his PIDA work, Jesse never talked about his other careers. A part of him wanted to keep his work in the gaming industry and his secret agent stuff separate. Anyone who met him could easily find out about that with a little bit of research, but he doubted that anyone would bother, especially Akhtar. “So we don’t really have a when yet. That will have to come later. What we now is a where.” Jesse continued. It was a good idea to pick a location for now. It wasn’t like they could just give the prince the address to their headquarters. “John could pick you up from here if you’d like, or maybe some other public place at a certain time, what do you guys think?”
