It was a busy day as usual in the shopping district of New Orlands. Men and women from all different walks of life walked through the streets, too check out shops, searching for good bargains, or simply having fun spending some time with friends. All those smiling, happy faces made it almost hard for Jesse to believe the horrible event that happened here months ago. Though a good amount of time had passed since it had happened a tragedy had happened here. Thanks to three supernatural creatures that started a fight in the middle of the busy street someone had died in the midst of that battle. That incident had not gone unnoticed to the organization that Jesse worked for. There was no way that the PIDA could ignore that mess. It had taken a bit of effort on their part just to keep the incident quiet. It wasn’t like the usual murders that happened in the hands of monsters that most people could only dream about, where it happened in secrecy and the body was discovered long after the fact. The perpetrators did this out in the open for everyone to see. And they had to pay for that.
The problem was that no one could find them. The ones responsible for the incident had vanished soon after that, and after a few weeks of searching the case had gone cold. That was the case after Felix brought the case to his group’s attention. At first Jesse had been skeptical that they would turn up anything at all. With the amount of time that passed since their disappearance he was convinced that the ones responsible for it had fled the country by now. But all of that changed when Jesse and Toby had run into one of them, a hellhound that called himself Guillotine. They had been here the whole time, and they were still dangerous…well… the hellhound was anyway. That was exactly the kind of break in the case that they needed but unfortunately the hellhound got away, but not before doing some serious damage first. Again the group was back at square one. After the fight with the hellhound the trial quickly grew cold once more. For awhile Jesse felt like crap about the whole thing. He felt personally responsible for the deaths of the people that got in the hound’s way, he felt so bad that he almost felt like giving up.
But in the end he didn’t. Jesse Cox wasn’t a quitter. Sure he ran into a little slump but that didn’t mean he should just give up. It took a little while but the man’s confidence was back in full force and he was ready to face this case once more! Sadly there was no way that he could get anywhere with this case without tracking down the whereabouts of Guillotine or his other associates. It was that need for some kind of trial that led the man to this place. After some digging around one of his teammates found a possible lead that traced back to a popular women’s clothing store. It wasn’t much really, from what he had read the victim of the incident had worked here and had died only a few feet away from the building. There was a chance that someone could tell him more about the victim, and maybe even her killers if he did some poking around first.
Jesse walked into the store, fingering the pictures of the victim and the three culprits that he had in his pocket as he approached the checkout line. Jesse eyed the registers till he spotted one of the employees that had the least amount of customers that she was attending to. “Excuse me miss, is the manager here? I need to ask a few questions.” He asked her, if there was anyone that Jesse could ask about the victim surely the manager could answer them, right?

Akhtar was in Rio busy as ever. It was the end/beginning of the month which meant they would be getting shipments in PLUS the books had to be balanced for the month. Sure Akhtar was operating in the green but he didn't let that stop him from making sure all of his ducks were in a row. Unfortunately for him he had to worry about two stores now. At one point in time he had to only worry about Rio but now Luna was back on his list. He cursed Gil everyday that passed because of this. He really hadn't found anyone else that could replace him. The young wizard understood why he had to leave though. It was for the best. If Gil had continued to stay here things would have in the end gotten worst. Akhtar could only take watching one of his employees spiral out of control for so long.
The Egyptian Wizard Prince sighed and closed up his books. He had to go across the street now and do the same for Luna his high end women's boutique. Akhtar was shocked. Everything in both stores were quite expensive. Even though many were saying there was economic issues, Akhtar couldn't tell. His stores were constantly frequented by the cities elite including those coming from out of town to come to the high end boutiques. He didn't need the money but he enjoyed owning the stores. It was apart of his life now. He had become well known within the elite society. He of course couldn't tell them he was a wizard or a prince but he was still excepted. Akhtar walked through the store coming upstairs from his office. He spoke to the store manager and told him he was heading across the street for the rest of the day.
Akhtar crossed the street quickly to his other store. It was cooling off quickly now that fall was here. He held his cup of coffee allowing the stirrer to continue to stir the coffee although he wasn't holding it. It was one of the few things he did with magic. Most times if someone noticed he could play it off saying he had just stopped stirring it. Most would buy the story. He opened the glass door to Luna and noticed a man standing there. He heard the man ask one of the sales associates there if a manager was around. It seemed as if Akhtar had shown up just in time. The sales associate pointed in Akhtar's direction.
Akhtar spoke up, "I am the owner of the store. Is there anything I can help you with sir?" He delivered the question in his thick Egyptian accent. He looked the man up and down. He wondered what he had to ask him about. He looked to the man waiting on a response. Looking down at his coffee he realized the stirrer was still moving. He quickly placed his hand over it.

It would've been a lie to say that Jesse wasn't nervous about having to interrogate the people here. Though the man was no stranger to asking questions (he had interviewed plenty of people in his line of profession in the past), it was different when you had to ask questions about the dead. It was even harder to try and work his way around keeping quiet about the finer details of the incident that led to the murder. It wasn't like Jesse could ask these people if they saw shapeshifting people maul some chick to death without getting a few odd looks at the very least. It was hard enough for the agency to cover up the whole mess, so it would be bad if Jesse brought anything up that he shouldn't for the sake of some kind of lead.
Oh well, he would figure something out soon. He had already rehearsed a little bit of what he would say on his drive out here, though it wasn't much it was something to work with. First thing on the agenda, he needed to talk to the person in charge of this establishment. Though he doubted that the guy who ran this place was there to witness the attack first hand he would be able to give him some information on the victim. There was always a chance that the victim knew her attackers personally, and if she did then he would be one step closer to catching him.
When the woman pointed behind him Jesse was surprised that he would see the manager that quickly. "H-hi, I didn't see you there." he said a little nervously before extending his arm out to give the man a friendly handshake. "It's nice to meet you, I'm detective Jesse." He pulled out a fake FBI badge from his pocket to flash to the manager. The fake badge was actually given out by the agency for instances that their agents needed to keep who they worked for a secret while doing business, like how he was doing now. "I would like to ask you a few questions about an incident that happened near your store six months ago. Is there some private place that we can go to do this?"

Akhtar stood looking at the man before him. He was reading him and the man didn't know it. He accepted the man's hand and shook it quickly before releasing it. He looked as the man before flashed a bogus badge in front of him. That set him off. He was not a fan of people trying to lie to him. He allowed the man to finish his sentence as he was not a rude being but his demeanor changed completely. He said to Det. Jesse,"Det. Jesse you say? Well I find it quite fascinating that you are being referred to by your first name with you being an FBI Agent and all. I find it even more interesting that your badge is fake. So tell me who you really are sir...or you can find your own way out of my establishment. I refuse to discuss anything you have just mentioned here in front of my employee. Now you can either follow me to my office or see yourself out. Either way I don't mind. I am a very busy man sir. My time is quite valuable and probably a great deal more valuable than your own. The choice is yours."
Akhtar did not turn to see if the man would follow him or not. He simply turned curtly on his heels and walked towards the door that separated the store from the office area. He opened the door and walked down the hall to his office. As he stepped into the office the motion activated lights cut on. He sat behind his desk and started typing in his password. He pulled up the necessary files he needed to start processing his books for the month.
Akhtar couldn't believe the man had the audacity to talk to him about the situation with Gil in front of his employee. That was even more of a reason for him to know that he was more likely than not a rookie. Akhtar was annoyed with a man and he didn't like that. He was normally more balanced. Perhaps because of the content of the conversation. It had to do with Gil. That was the one subject that made Akhtar on edge and he didn't like for anyone to question him about. Perhaps it was because he saw something in Gil that no one else was able to see...

So far so good I guess... Jesse thought as the man took his hand. The manager seemed friendly enough so there would be little trouble getting some information on the victim that worked here. So long as the man thought that he was some kind of official. Technically speaking Jesse was, but he couldn't really say that. 'Don't let the public know about who you work for unless absolutely necessary'. That was one of the basic rules of the PIDA. It was okay to flash his real badge to someone working in the government, even if some of them didn't know what the hell the PIDA was his station put him up a rank higher, like it or not they had to comply. But there was little point in doing that here. Though it would be harder for Jesse to ask questions about a murder case posing as a regular citizen, he couldn't spill his true profession unless he got into the poor man's personal business just to make sure that the guy kept quiet. It was an unnecessary choice to make when what he was aiming for wouldn't be that big.
That's why he chose to flash his decoy badge instead. Though Jesse knew that it was a fake it was a pretty decent copy, most people would have a hard time telling the difference, and that was only assuming that they have ever seen a real FBI badge before. Yet somehow, despite how effortlessly he lied and how convincing he was the man called him out on it. Jesse looked at the manager in shock at what he said. The man tried to open his mouth to speak but his mind was drawing a blank. How the hell did he get caught like that? Was he just that bad of a liar? It took a minute for the poor man's brain to fully register his situation. The situation had changed from good to bad in just a matter of seconds. Jesse didn't know how, or why, but somewhere down the lines he fucked up badly, and now he was going to pay the price for that.
By the time Jesse could recover from his shock the bastard was already storming off. "H-hey wait up!" he called as he tried to catch up to the other man. Oh hell no this jerk was not going to just run away like that! Leaving this place was not an option. After this guy just called him out in front of his employee there was no way that he could go back and question any of the workers here. If he left now he wouldn't be able to come back and then he'd have nothing. He couldn't go back to his friends with nothing! Jesse followed the man into his office and closed the door behind him (a little too hard for his liking) before approaching the desk. "Look you, I'll admit that I lied to you earlier but that doesn't give you the right to be an ass." he said. "You want to see a badge? Here take it." he threw his PIDA badge over the man's desk for him to see. "My department likes to work in secrecy, and because of that I can't go brandishing that about even if its for work, not without having to pry into the private lives of the people I have to show it to. I didn't want to put you through all of that nonsense over this but you left me no choice. You can choose to not believe me and throw me out if you wish. But if you do that I'll come back with a warrent, if not me then other agents will, and they will be even more of an ass than I am. Now we can play this the nice way, you give me what I need to know and I will never trouble you again. Or we can play this the hard way. Your choice."

Akhtar normally, a very kind and patient man could not believe what was taking place in his office. He was so happy that he opted to have each office sound proofed. Akhtar was first shocked that he slammed his door then he turned and threw the badge at him. Akhtar's phoenix was PUSHING to come out. It was a good thing that Akhtar was so well versed in his magical abilities. The man could easily have the man erupt into flames in that very moment and all traces of him gone forever but that was not Akhtar's style. Akhtar was a caring and loving man. He loved humanity. He thought using his magic for those things was unbecoming of a prince. He watched as the man ranted and raved in his office. **I should break his neck**Akhtar thought to himself. That would at the least make him shut up.
Akhtar had, had ENOUGH. He stood so quickly it was less than in a blink of an eye. His entire 6'2 frame at its max height. His hazel gray eyes were dangerously close to changing colors. He looked at the man in front of him in a voice so calm and so dangerous it would send chills down the spines of many. "You will NOT speak to me in THAT tone nor will you refer to me as YOU...I am officially and recognized as HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS AKHTAR AMEEN ZUELMA. I am from a VERY wealthy tribal clan within Egypt which recognizes our royal status. We are very well established in the diamond business as well as the gold trade. " While all of that was a complete and utter lie it was the front that Akhtar's family set up that granted him his diplomatic immunity here within the United States and throughout the world. It was quite handy. Especially in situations like this.
Akhtar looked at the man and continued, "Your threats are WASTED on me...Do you understand me? WASTED on me. I hope you can understand my English well...I have diplomatic immunity. So you and all of your other agents can just stop right there. As long as I have not committed any crimes there is nothing you can do to me. I can however have YOUR job for how you just behaved in here. Do you want to take that chance?" Akhtar raised an eyebrow as he looked at Jesse dead in his eyes never breaking contact with him as he spoke. Akhtar did not take disrespect well.
He looked at the man and took another breath and said, "So tell ME...do YOU want to do this the hard way or the easy way. PERHAPS you could try introducing yourself once more and telling the truth from the beginning and we can go from there. I have no problems helping anyone but I can't help you if I don't know who you are. Another word of advice sir is not to always judge situations until you are completely in them. I'm sure they taught you all better than that at the academy." Akhtar smirked and sat back down at his desk. He removed the Saudi styled keffiyeh off of his mid back length jet black hair. The sun pouring into his office seemed to make his hair shine more.
Perhaps it was the magic that coursed through his entire body. He has often times been told that when magical beings stand next to non-magical beings you can see the difference in their appearance. He brushed his hair with his hands and looked to the man before him looking to see how he would react. Even in this moment he hadn't broken eye contact with him. Akhtar was a true master at staring contest. It often times made people uncomfortable because he was told he has very intense eyes. The ladies loved it though. They said it was better than having bedroom eyes so he was happy to know that.

Jesse was getting more and more frustrated with the current situation by the second. He only had one job to do here, get information on the victim. That was it. It was a job that was likely not to turn up much at all for the case. But that didn't mean that it wasn't important. There were little leads to go on for this case since he had started it that even the smallest hint of something, anything would give him and his group a fighting chance to catch their targets. And all he had to do here was ask people what they knew about the victim. It was a task that wa so easy that even his grandmother could pull it off. Yet he had screwed up his chances to do this right. He didn't even know where in the world he had went wrong here? It wasn't like he was running arounf like an idiot just begging for a way to fuck up. Everything he had done before chasing this guy down had been protocol.
But he got caught, and now was suffering for it. And because of how quickly things had spiraled out of control he started to get angry. Whenever Jesse got mad he only made things worse. He wasn't the type of guy that got mad often, but when he did things could turn ugly. Like right now for example. Maybe the manager guy didn't deserve the amount of anger he was receiving right now but Jesse didn't really care. All he knew was that this guy was getting in his way of catching a dangerous killer by not only refusing to speak with him, but by calling him out in front of one of his employees. The man was also putting himself at risk too. He wasn't kidding when he warned the man about having his agency on his case for exposing him like he did. When an agent was exposed to those outside the government people needed to be silenced. Even now Jesse didn't feel like there was a point into getting them both in trouble. It was one thing if he got heat for having to show his real ID (and in such a manner at that) but it was too much to get an innocent person involved in this, no matter how annoying they may be.
Sadly it didn't seem like his little friend over there gave a crap though. While both of them seemed annoyed with one another the other man lost his cool even more than Jesse had. The man stood up in an instant and let Jesse have a taste of his fury. As mad as Jesse was he couldn't help but feel taken a back at it. As the man told him just who he was and what kind of influence he had Jesse knew that he was in trouble. This guy was a fricken prince? That was news to him. Jesse didn't get much of a chance to do some research on the store and who owned it for him to know this. He felt like an idiot for that now. It was one thing dealing with a normal citizen (influential or not), but dealing with a foreign prince that was technically above the law was another thing.
To make matters worse he just had to throw Jesse's warnings back in his face and even threaten his job for all of this. Anger and shame could be seen on the poor guy's face. If what this prince guy was saying was true then he could very well lose his job. If he lost his position he would lose the chance he had to learn more about his powers, how to control them, and he would lose the chance to help his friends take the dangerous supernaturals they were trying to catch. It would be a big blow indeed. But should he really back down? When the memory of his fight with the hellhound came back to his mind, and the image of those poor innocent bystanders that died during that fight came to mind he knew that he couldn't.
"Yes I can." He replied. If he lost his job for this then so be it. He could swallow his pride if it meant doing the right thing. Right now, the right thing was to get this information. If Akhtar got him fired for his actions today he could at least tell someone in his group what he learned today and help them with it. It was a huge gamble to take for something so small but if it meant saving lives he wouldn't mind going out with a bang. Jesse closed his eyes and took a slow, deep breath before meeting Akhtar's gaze once more. This was it, he was going to take one last stab at this, but if he wanted to make his last stance worth it he would need to come at this in a different approach. Anger was going to get him no where. He couldn't give into this man's demands but he could try to meet him half way.
"You don't like me, and frankly I am not a big fan of yours right now either. But this isn't about you and me, this is about her." Jesse pulled out the picture of the victim for Akhtar to see. "This woman was one of your employees, and she was murdered only a few feet away from your store. All I want is information about her, who she was, who she was close to to track down the people responsible for her death. Anything you know that can help me and my associates track her killers down can save lives. One of the people that killed your former employee not too long ago killed a couple more people, one of the victims was a young boy. You can throw your diplomatic immunity around if you want, but if you have any ounce of compassion in you, you'd tell me what you know. As for what you want to know from me I can try to answer whatever questions you may have. But you have to understand that no matter how much power you have there are somethings I can't tell you. I am not trying to be a dick, I am only doing what I have to so neither of us gets in trouble. Would you please help me out by allowing me to start this over, or do we still have a problem?"

Akhtar sat in his desk giving Jesse his full attention never once even attempting to interrupt him. This was his training. He was trained to sit and allow someone to explain themselves before responding. It was a sign of respect and showed that you were truly listening. He couldn't help but smirk a bit as Jesse made a few low-key snide remarks. Akhtar wouldn't even entertain it. He would allow the man to have the last round in the battle of wits so they could go ahead and actually start working on whatever it was the man was there for. Akhtar looked as he pulled out a picture of Elizabeth Adams. Such a sad lost. He couldn't believe the news of what happened when he first heard about it. No one really gave him full details about the way in which she died. He just simply sent her family flowers and a word of condolence telling them how sorry he was for their lost.
He was truly sorry for her family's lost but he was quite sure that they hadn't been aware of who or exactly what Elizabeth had become. Akhtar looked at the picture of Elizabeth. The picture definitely was not the Elizabeth that died. While she may have appeared the same the girl changed. She went from one who would be seen as the top of her class and involved in all civic affairs type of girl. She was a great employee but things don't always last.
Akhtar contemplated in his mind how much he should tell the man about her. He sighed knowing he could help solve her murder so he decided to just cave in and tell him everything. He cleared his throat and said, "Now that you're done with your speech I can perhaps answer your question?" Akhtar didn't mean to make the remark but Akhtar did feel the man was just babbling after a moment."Well I honestly don't know where to begin sir..I guess I could start with her name? Elizabeth Adams. She came from Dallas, Texas originally. Her family is still there. She was here going to the university. She said she needed a job because she was not able to survive off of what her family was sending her so she said she was really into fashion and she quite frankly, proved her self to be quite the exceptional employee."
Akhtar wished he could continue to give her nothing but praise but that honestly wasn't the case. He sighed when he knew he would have to reveal her dark side sooner or later. "There was so much good within Elizabeth but you know everyone has a history and everyone tends to have a darker side. It is a part of human nature. After about six months I realized that Elizabeth was starting to act differently. She was constantly asking me about the occult. It was a bit unnerving at times to be honest. I mean a good girl like her constantly inquiring about my thoughts on demons and devil worship. I warned her against it saying I didn't think it was the smartest thing to do. It was sad seeing her spiral. I saw her constantly walking around with these books that she said held incantations and things. The sad part was that she kept all of this a secret from her family and I couldn't bare to tell them. I found it sad that she was living a double life. I personally wouldn't dare touch those books she was having. I thought it would bring evil in your life and sadly for her it did. "
Akhtar looked at Jesse with a look of sorrow in his eyes. The employees at both Rio and Luna were treated as one big family unit. They were all for the most part close with one another. Akhtar, Gil, and Elizabeth all worked closely together at the end of the month when it came time for the books. The wizard sat and crossed his hands and sighed tried to think of more thing to say about Elizabeth that could possibly help Jesse. Then the thought crossed his mind. Katrina and Marrianne were both great friends of Elizabeth. They all talked and were apart of the same covenant.
Akhtar had to laugh at them. The things they were conjuring were definitely not of the good side. They were pure hell beings and demonic beings and AKhtar warned them of that. He didn't want to see them get hurt and this is what happens. Akhtar said to Jesse, "The girl out front...Katrina, she is a friend of Elizabeth's. They were constantly together. Both seem to do the double life devil worship thing. I want to say Katrina said, Elizabeth made the mistake of bartering her soul with the devil but wasn't able/nor ready to repay so he came and took her soul. He, The Devil himself, came and killed her. I don't know how true that is but you are more than welcome to talk to her in an office next door. I don't want to pry...You have more questions for me? "

This was it. This moment would decide Jesse's fate and quite possibly the fate of this entire case. If what he said did absolutely nothing to sway this man into talking it was very likely that Jesse would lose his place in the PIDA. It was a risk that he was willing to take though, if it meant getting the monsters responsible then he was more than willing to pay the price. As much of a goof ball, and screw up as Jesse was the man was pretty passionate when he put his mind on something. Jesse had always been like that, but since coming into the PIDA that drive came out even more. It wasn't that much of a surprise to him after awhile. After all, what he was doing now affected human lives, his, his friends, his fans, and even the whole country depending on the size of the threat. The hellhound he was trying to hunt wasn't likely to try and destroy the world or anything crazy like that, but as long as he and his friends were free all the citizens of this city were in danger.
Jesse wasn't just running his mouth off to cover his ass with his little speech. He was being serious with what he said, it was one of those rare moments that he was ever serious about anything. Deep down he knew that Akhtar knew something about all of this. He didn't know what it was but he just had this gut feeling that the man knew something vital that could help him out. Hell even the man himself gave off this strange feeling to the agent that made him think he was something special. It was more than just the man being some foreign prince. He couldn't quite place it, but it was a feeling that Jesse only felt in a few people. Maybe it was his mimicking instincts telling him that he was in the presence of someone who was more than just your everyday person. Or maybe his imagination was working in overdrive today, who knew? Either way he wouldn't ignore what he felt. Instead he would try to learn all he could till he got the answers he wanted, provided that the prince would be willing to answer them.
Soon the man got his answer. After he finished talking Akhtar agreed to help answer his questions. "Y-yeah, go ahead." he replied, ignoring the remark and sat down while Akhtar gave him the details on the victim. What Akhtar said at first was nothing new to him, after the remains were identified the PIDA looked into Elizabeth's life well before he and his friends picked up the case. There wasn't much to go on from what the file said, Elizabeth seemed to be a pretty smart and ordinary person, but what Akhtar said about her private life was new. A satanist huh? Who would've thought it. It was like something out of a cheesy horror movie. A seemingly perfect girl living a double life as a satanic witch, summoning the demons of hell to do her bidding, who would eventually come back to bite her in the ass.
Was that the case here though? If Elizabeth was really a satanist who was messing around with demon summoning then it was very possible that she could've summoned the hellhound Guillotine who later attacked her for it. But if that was the case then where did the shapeshifters fit in? Shifters from what he knew couldn't be bounded by spells like demons could, so there was no way that they could've known the victim from there. Maybe the hellhound wasn't summoned at all? Maybe they just met, and Elizabeth lowered her guard down because she found out what he was. This new information gave Jesse more questions than answers, but it was something to go on. He even had someone else that he could go to for more information about that later. When Akhtar asked if he had anymore questions the agent nodded. "Besides the two friends that you told me about, was there anyone else that Elizabeth hung around with? Anyone else from work that she knew, or friends outside of work?"

Akhtar looked at Jesse for a moment. Should he continue? He honestly felt he had given him enough information. Akhtar didn't like to meddle in the lives of his employees. The only thing he asked of them was to keep their personal lives private, and out of work. Elizabeth had a problem doing that. Even before she really spiraled into the dark depths of worshiping Satan. Akhtar didn't want to incriminate Gil too much. He did however say he would help Jesse and tell him all he knew. That meant telling EVERYTHING. Elizabeth was far off into the world of Satanism. She did things and Akhtar still felt her death if it were at Gil's hands or not was simply because of the actions SHE took. It had to have been something she did that put Gil at risk. She was constantly doing something that endangered the work place. She felt because Akhtar was never there it was okay to do what she did.
Akhtar sighed and said, "Well..I will say when she first started here, for whatever reason she was quite intrigued by Gil. Perhaps it was his bad boy persona? It was something about him that she couldn't stay away from. I guess after her advances to Gil were rejected she went and got her own version of the guy? She was head over for him. She was constantly showing pictures of them and how happy they were. Apparently they weren't always too happy though. Katrina often said the guy was abusive to Elizabeth. She said Elizabeth actually got off on that kind of stuff. It was all so strange to me. I find it strange that a girl like her would make a complete change for the worst. "
Shaking his head sadly the wizard continued going through his brain for things that Elizabeth did. He was truly sad over the lost. It was no acting or putting on airs on for the agent. "Listen...she and Gil were also very good friends despite all that she did. I can't say how much they did outside of work together. They did tend to party with one another a lot from what I could tell. I mean they both were pretty good at hiding things. They knew how to put on airs. I mean look at the life she lived. I would never think Elizabeth would do ANY of the things they says he has done. They often times tell me don't let her innocent looks fool me. " Akhtar reached over to his desk drawer and pulled out a book and sat it on his desk.
The book was black and had a pentagram on the gront of it. On the side was a feather shaped fountain pen. The book was closed and had a lock on it. A small key was taped to the front. Akhtar decided to give the book to Jesse. This was Elizabeth's diary and book of secrets. If Jesse were going to find out anymore of Elizabeth and her time here on earth it would be inside of this book. Akhtar slid the book over gently in front of Jesse and said, "Here...take this book. It is said to hold a lot of her secrets. Katrina gave it to me and asked me to read it but I can't bring myself to do so. You take it...I hope it helps you find whatever it is you're looking for.. "

Gil? The name caught Jesse's attention instantly. Could that be the guy he was looking for? Nah, it couldn't be. But the name along sounded similiar to the hellhound's name Guillotine. It wouldn't be completely outrageous to think that Guillotine was using a fake name. After all it was hard to not stand out when you had the name that stood for a mediveal execution device. Gil could easily be a nickname that could stand for a real name. Still though, it was a big leap to just assume that this Gil guy and Guillotine were one in the same. If he were to tell someone about his train of thought right now surely they would think he was grasping at straws. But he couldn't shake that feeling that he may be onto something. As wild as the man's ideas could be they strangly turned out to be pretty accurate in the end. Jesse had always had a great intuition when it came to figuring out complicated ideas, or twists to plots. It wouldn't surprise him if this would be just one of those things.
Jesse paid close attention on what Akhtar had to say about the man named Gil. So Elizabeth had been quite into the man before her death, even going as far as finding someone just like him when she couldn't have him for himself. What was it about Gil that would catch Elizabeth's attention? If Elizabeth was a satanist then she was the kind of woman that liked to flirt with danger. She would have been one of those typical young girls that were drawn to bad boys. Guillotine definitely fit in that category if no one knew just what he was, and if they did....If Elizabeth knew that Guillotine was a hellhound surely she would be drawn to the guy. In fact, she would be obessed with him. If his assumption was right, and this Gil was who he thought he was then Jesse just might've stepped into a bigger lead than he thought.
After Akhtar finished talking he pulled out a creepy looking black book and handed it to Jesse. The man explained to him that this book had once belonged to Elizabeth. It was the woman's diary. Perfect! this book could hold the answers to some of his questions. Once he read the thing he could find out if his theory was correct. He couldn't believe his luck. He had just enough now to go back to his group with some good news. This was a good lead, and if TB and Nova came back with some sucess from thier trip to the hospital they could really finish this case. Despite this nice turn of events though Jesse didn't want to leave just yet. There were still a lot of questions that he had yet to have answered and it was eating him up. While Akhtar may not know all the details there was still a chance that the man knew something that he might've missed. "Thank you." he said as he took the book and looked it over. The man's mind was going to work now, he wasn't going to leave yet till he was satisfied with his detective work yet.
"You said that Elizabeth was close with a guy name Gil that worked here right? Is the guy here now? I didn't notice any man working around in this store." Now that he thought about it besides the prince Jesse hadn't seen any other man in the store. It didn't seem too out of place given that the store catered to women only but if there was a man that worked here before, and he was the guy he was looking for it made sense to ask about his whereabouts. "What do you know about him and his friendship with Elizabeth?"

Akhtar looked at Jesse when he asked about Gil's relationship with Elizabeth. Why wouldn't he just let this go. He was asking Akhtar far too many questions. Akhtar rarely came to his women's boutique because Gil was there to run the place. He didn't have to worry about anything. Gil constantly covered him. He was strangely enough Akhtar's first employee and his most trusted. He allowed Gil to hire and fire the employees of the store as he saw fit. It was the perfect situation for Akhtar. He was constantly at Rio. That was his main concern. He had to stay over there because that was his first store and his priority.
Akhtar had to think for a second on how he was going to respond to the man's question. Akhtar decided to just continue on his truthful path. "Well...he actually isn't here right now. He has been out of the country a few weeks now. I honestly don't know when he will be back. He said he had to leave to get his head cleared. He has been under a lot of pressure lately. He actually resigned and went to go find his old self. I couldn't help but agree with him. He hasn't been himself for about a month now. I really wanted him to get his life in order so I agreed with no argument. You have to understand Gil was my right hand here. He was the store manager. I felt he needed to do whatever was necessary to return to his old self. "
Akhtar looked at Jesse. He just knew there would be more to come. He could look in the man's eyes and tell he wasn't satisfied with what he was telling him. Akhtar was starting to feel this was more of a crusade to find out about Gil and hunt him down.

Once Jesse wanted to learn more about something it was almost impossible for the man to stop. Anyone who knew the man were well aware of this. It could be a very frustrating for those that were there to witness it, or had to be the ones to give him what he wanted to know. His fan base knew about his thirst for knowledge the best. Many of his fans would buttclench in fury and frustration whenever he spent too much time trying to find out every tiny little piece of lore, going through long complicated journeys just to get a single item, or explore a new area all because he thought there was something there that wasn't in the video games he played. Those impulses didn't rest at just video games, he was like that in real life too. It was actually a good trait to have as an agent. Not all assignments were easy to solve, sometimes information was missing and the agent working on it would need to dig around for the missing links.
It was only natural that Jesse would continue to pester the poor prince about this Gil guy. His gut told him that it was very likely that Gil and the hellhound Guillotine were one in the same. Though it would only leave him a lead to one out of the three suspects if he and his group could capture just one of them there was a good chance they could capture the rest of them too. It was worth the effort to try get whatever he could from Akhtar while he was still willing to talk. Sadly what Akhtar told him did not sound too good. It looked like this Gil character had resigned a few weeks ago and left the country, and to top it off his former boss wasn't sure when the man would return. If Jesse was right about Gil's identity then it was going to be almost impossible for him to catch the hound now. No, stay positive Jesse! he told himself. You don't even know if this is your guy yet, and its not like you can't try to fid out where he went.
"Well that sucks that you lost your store manager." Jesse said earnestly. As far as he was concerned Akhtar didn't know if his former employee was dangerous or not. To the prince Gil was just a good employee who was a bit down on his luck. It was easy to see that for a boss he really cared for the people that worked for him. Not many employers cared about the lives of their workers but this guy did. Despite how their initial meeting had gone earlier Jesse couldn't help but like the man a little. "What happened to Gil that he had to leave? And do you know where he went, or how to contact him? If you don't mind me asking." Hell spawn or not it wouldn't hurt to take a stab at that. If Jesse was wrong then at least he could have someone else to question about Elizabeth later.

Akhtar looked at Jesse. This guy didn't give up did he? While Akhtar liked to be thorough himself this guy took it to an entirely different level. He was looking at every single aspect that could possibly be there. Akhtar would be much happier if the guy took everything at face value. Akhtar sensed something within the guy. He couldn't lie to the guy anymore. He would just be upfront and see if the guy would be receptive to what he was about to tell him. If the guy was then he would try his best to get him to TRULY understand Gil. Right now Gil was not seen in the best light throughout the city. Had this agent seen the state of Gil's old apartment building before it was "mysteriously" burned down and all of its contents charred to pure ash he would have wanted Gil on a platter a long time ago. It was clear that he was not going to let it rest until he got all of his answers.
Akhtar took a deep breath and looked Jesse directly in the eyes and said, "Listen I can't lie to you anymore...I am not being completely honest with you. First and foremost...I am INDEED a Prince and I do have diplomatic immunity. The story I gave you was a front for the human governments of the world. I am actually a wizard. A 100 percent broom riding spell casting wizard. I am from the Kingdom of Zahirah. It is in Egypt but it spans the entire region of North Africa and a small portion of the Arabian Peninsula. The only people able to gain entry are those who are magical beings themselves or are with a magical being who knows the location of the Kingdom....I know you're talking about Guillotine the hellhound...If you can tell what is ACTUALLY going on perhaps I can truly help you. "
The wizard looked to the other male in front of him and rubbed his forehead in frustration. He continued, "You know...everyone I talk to about the reasoning behind Gil's sudden resignation never want to tell me. It is like some big secret. Perhaps you can enlighten me?"

Jesse was onto something, he just knew it! But from the way things were going he might run into a dead end again. If he was right and Gil was really Guillotine then that meant the bastard had gone on the run to a place Jesse couldn't reach him. It wasn't like there was no way that the beast couldn't get caught though. It wasn't like the PIDA only had power in New Orlands. They could easily travel to other countries to do business, especially if it meant catching a dangerous supernatural. And what was more dangerous than a hellhound? Guillotine had proven well enough already that he was a danger to society, and no matter where he was Jesse was sure that he'd only kill again. But if he was overseas then Jesse wouldn't be able to track him. If the beast somehow caught wind that the agency was looking for him in his hiding spot he would try to escape again and it would take longer to chase him down. How would Jesse cover his ass if he took a trip? It would be one thing if he could just lie to his fans and say he was going on vacation for a week or two at most, but he couldn't just abandon his channel for two weeks. It was one of the downsides to juggling so many different jobs.
While he worked as a PIDA agent he was also a youtuber, a voice actor, and game reviewer as well. He still had enough work to do at home that it wasn't going to be easy to chase down one man on his own. But hey, if he couldn't bring one of the suspects down himself he could ask to have other agents with more time than him to do the task for him. He just needed two things now, one, he needed to know where this mysterious Gil ran off to, and two he needed to have the guy identified. All this time Jesse had not asked the egyptian prince what Gil looked like. It wasn't like he had forgotten to do that, but he was just waiting for the right time. It was obvious that Akhtar cared a lot for his former employee, but if Jesse pulled out the hellhound's picture and he recognized the man as this Gil guy how would he answer his questions when he knew that Gil was a murder suspect?
He didn't want to take a chance with that. It was easier to just ask that last after he got all the info he needed on Gil. And hey, if in the end he turned out to be completely wrong then at least he wouldn't look like a complete moron (more so than he did earlier <.<) and he would have a way to contact someone that might know more about the suspects he was after. Jesse waited with baited breath for Akhtar to answer his questions, but what the man said next was something he didn't expect. "Holy crap, you're a wizard?!" he said as he stood up in surprise. No fricken way! This was...this was awesome! Here he was, sitting across with a wizard prince from egypt. This was some straight up Harry Potter shit right there. The man almost laughed but caught himself before he did (not without letting a little chuckle out first). Yeah, now was not a time to laugh.
"Sorry about that. You surprised me there." Jesse said. The man sat back down again and looked over at the man. "Don't worry, I don't think you are crazy or anything like that. To be honest I am not that normal myself, I'm not a wizard though but I wasn't born as a regular human either." It only felt fair to be a little honest with the man that just told him straight up that he was a wizard. What had possessed the man to take a leap of faith and tell him something so personal was beyond him, that was until he told him that he knew that the guy he was asking about was the man he was hunting. It looked like Jesse hit the nail right on the head! But this was a bit of a strange turn of events. Jesse hadn't suspected that Akhtar knew this much. Though his gut had told him that the egyptian man knew something he had thought that it wouldn't be like this.
Now a new question was bothering him. If Akhtar knew that he was going after Gil why was he not covering for him? Well, he might've been trying to avoid saying certain things at first but not now. Was this some kind of trap? Would the wizard man try to kill him now that he was telling the truth? No...that couldn't be right. It would be too risky to try and kill someone in his own store. Besides, he'd risk other agents coming over to ask where one of their own went. Akhtar sounded sincere, he was willing to help if Jesse would give him some info on what was really going on. The agent dropped his gaze for a moment and scratched the back of his head as he mulled over what he was going to do next. What he was about to do would be risky but after what he had seen so far it felt only fair.
"Well...since you were so honest with me I would feel bad for not answering you back." Jesse looked back at Akhtar before speaking again. "I work for a secret government agency called the PIDA. They specialize in dealing with issues regarding the paranormal or supernaturals. Most of our work is to keep the existence of supernaturals quiet, and handle the dangerous ones. What I am here for is to look into a case that came to us awhile ago. A while back your employee Elizabeth was attacked and killed in front of your store by a hellhound, a leopard, and a wolf shapeshifter in broad daylight. Several people identified the three responsible for it, but when the agency started to investigate they couldn't be found."
"At first the trail went cold by the time and my partners picked it up. Some of us thought it wa a dead end too but then..." the man let out a short sigh before he continued. "About a month ago when I and one of my partners were checking out the streets we found Guillotine. He looked a little worse for wear but it was definitely him. We were planning to follow him and confront him in a more private location but someone tipped him off that we were watching him, so we had to try and catch him in the street. By the time I reached him he...just started attacking people. I tried to stop him but he got away."
"Since then things went cold again, and that's why I am here. I want to find him and his friends. I want to take him off the streets at the very least. But what I want to know the most is just what happened the day Elizabeth died, and why he did and the others did what they did. I don't know what Guillotine told you, or how much you know but I would like you to help me out in anyway you can to get him or the others involved."
