Akhtar listened in complete silence and horror as Jesse told him of the tale of Elizabeth's demise. Well at least as he was told it by several "eye witnesses" who he was sure weren't probably going to be the most reliable in itself. Once they saw a leopard, a wolf, and a hellhound he was sure they weren't going to be able to register anything clearly after that. Their own memories would be tricking them. Was Akhtar okay with what Gil had done? Most certainly not. He CONSTANTLY warned Gil that he had to think about things before he did them. He had to think about what his actions would cost him. Now this has happened and Gil would, in the end, ultimately have to face the music. Akhtar couldn't protect him forever. Akhtar had certain rules and regulations he had to follow. Gil was compromising this.
Holding Diplomatic Immunity Akhtar didn't HAVE to talk if he didn't want to. He could simply tell the agent he would prefer not to get involved as he knew nothing of the crime. Akhtar however had a greater moral conscious than that. He was not going to take Jesse to Gil but he would help send him off in the right direction. He was an agent after all. IF Akhtar gave him all of the information he needed then what was the point of Jesse even being there. Akhtar had to wonder to himself how much of an agent Jesse really was. The man seemed to be pretty clueless. How could he not know where Gil was? Yes Gil disappeared off the grid for three or so months but he was still around the city during that time frame. Akhtar knew EXACTLY where to find him when he went looking for him. It only took Akhtar to drive into the more run down and unsafe area to make contact with him.
Akhtar had no issue with ever finding Gil he always knew where he was. He knew the hellhound as well as he knew himself. He gave him space when necessary and he allowed him to stick near him when need. Unfortunately for Jesse, Gil had found himself some new confidence it seems while they were in Zahirah. Gil was ready to spread his seed across the world, strictly ,figuratively speaking of course. Akhtar honestly wished he could be of more assistance to Jesee in finding Gil's whereabouts but he couldn't help. Akhtar sighed and said, "As MUCH as I wish I could help you in locating Gil I really can't help. I don't know where Gil is. The last time I saw Gil is when he left my home and my driver dropped him at the airport. He was heading to Europe. That is all I know. He told me he wanted to see many of the beautiful European cities so I made the trip happen for him. I can tell you he is not using his company card as I have not received any charges so he probably paying cash for everything. I really do wish I could help you...HONESTLY. I have told Gil far too many times he has to be mindful of his actions...Now this happens..."

Wow...he really didn't know what happened that day. Jesse thought when he saw the man's reaction to Jesse's story about the case. He couldn't blame the man for looking so shocked and saddened. One of his workers was killed in cold blood, and by one of his other employees at that. No matter what kind of person Elizabeth had been you would have to be a cold blooded monster to not feel something about the lost. Had the situation had been reversed and Gil had been the victim here Jesse would have felt the same way and would do all he could to bring the one responsible to justice. Akhtar had to feel the same way to some degree. But for the prince the whole thing had to be more complex than that. Just how close was this man with the hellhound? Now that Jesse thought about that a part of him worried about what the prince would be willing to say.
Not many employers were so close to their employees that they knew them on such a personal level. Though the egyptian prince was no doubt close enough to Elizabeth to know her deepest darkest secret, and to have the diary still with him, would he have been as willing to offer a helping hand to her like he had done Gil? But if he thought about it, it didn't make much sense for the man to admit as much as he did. If Akhtar had already knew this story giving Jesse any information would only damn the person he was trying to help. Akhtar was by all rights free to withhold his knowledge on the suspect. While the PIDA had special privileges above most legal issues he wasn't sure how they were suppose to act with those that had diplomatic immunity. It would take some time for the agent to return with a way to force the wizard to talk, and that was if he could at all in the first place.
No, he was being ridiculous to think for even a second that Akhtar was up to something. Jesse said nothing while Akhtar told him about where Gil had ran off to. Great, the best he got on the hound's location was not even a country but a whole continent. Perfect. There was no way that Jesse or anyone in his private circle int he agency could take a trip around europe just to search for Guillotine. It looked like he would have to make a request at the office for others to take care of the hellhound. Or maybe...there was a way that he at least could. That problem was one he would have to sit on for the night, maybe talk to the other guys when he got back so they could work around it. It was a lot of effort just to take down one guy, and sadly they couldn't just hop to it. There was still the issue about the other two they had to deal with. If at least one of the other suspects were still in the city, or at least in the country it would be much more beneficial for the group to stay here until they had been captured.
"It's okay dude, its not like you had any idea that he would just snap like that." he tried to reassure the other man. "I'll see what I can do to find him, and find out just what happened that day. And if its possible at all I'll let you know his side of the story. I think you have the right to know the whole story as much as I do." It might not be the most conventional thing for Jesse to promise but he meant what he said. Akhtar had trusted Gil and by harming another worker, and not even telling him the truth he had broken that trust. He needed to be held accountable for his actions, and he wasn't the only one. "Before I go I have something else to ask you about." the man continued. "As I said before Guillotine wasn't the only one involved with Elizabeth's murder." Jesse pulled out the other pictures of Akeelah and Raffe and handed them to Akhtar. "Do you recognize these two? And if so do you know where they might be, or their relationship to wither Gil or Elizabeth?"

Akhtar looked at the picture Jesse handed him. He couldn't say he knew either of them. It was one thing to know Gil but he didn't the crowd he ran with. It was enough to deal with Gil and his mood swings. Akhtar knew he had to tread steady when Gil was in his rare forms. He often times preferred to stay out of Gil's personal life. The last time he interfered he and Gil had a big falling out. It took a long time for Gil and Akhtar to become close once more so from that moment on he decided to stay clear of the employees personal lives. Akhtar shook his head no, "I'm sorry. I wish I could say I knew them but I honestly don't. I stay out of all of Gil's personal relationships. There is too much to explain. I wish I could help you on that front more....Perhaps their old hang outs could give you some light?"
Akhtar thought for a moment of all of the places Gil would be seen roaming about in the city. He said to Jesse, "Well...the night club was a favorite spot of his...perhaps the bartenders and djs knew him and them in there? He also was surprisingly in love with nature. He was always in the forest hanging out. "

The man’s heart sunk a little when he saw Akhtar shake his head. It looked like the man didn’t know the other two after all. Well, that was a bit of a letdown. There were so few leads already that any little bit of information on the others would help. While Jesse and his crew seemed to be getting closer to the hellhound’s trail they were getting nowhere with the others. Jesse was beginning to wonder just how much the other two were involved in this case. If they were close to each other at all it would stand to reason that if he and his friends could find the hellhound that they should’ve stumbled upon the other two, luck or no luck there should’ve been some trace of them at all. It didn’t make sense. Did they skip town? While it was the smart thing to do would they have really left their friend behind?
What if they weren’t friends at all? Jesse couldn’t help but wonder about that. Sure the trio was seen together and all but there wasn’t any evidence around to prove that they even knew each other before the murder. More questions, more possibilities sprung up in the man’s mind. Jesse’s mind was always thinking up some crazy ideas, but as outrageous as some of his ideas were they were always just crazy enough to work, or they just happened to be right. That creative mind of his worked rather well for his current line of work. As an agent he had to consider every single aspect of his task in order to get the job done, he had to look at every little detail that he could if he wanted to solve the case. While he had so many more questions and possibilities to consider there was one thing that he was sure of. His work here was done.
The foreign magical prince had given all he had to offer today. Hell, the man probably gave him more info than he needed to. He certainly gave Jesse more than he thought he would get seeing how this whole thing started. It was time to call it quits for now and tell the others what he uncovered, maybe look back on what he had now so he could be sure that there was nothing else that he needed from the man sitting in front of him. “That’s fine.” The man said, giving the prince a little smile and picked up the pictures and the diary. “You’ve been more help to me than you can possibly imagine. It was nice meeting you.” Jesse stood up and offered his hand out to give Akhtar a quick handshake. “By the way…I’m sorry about the way I acted earlier. I was out of line to treat like that, and I hope you can forgive me.”
