WORDS ### TAGS NOTES they'll get longer as we go I swear | I t was midway through the morning, the sun bright and warm despite the chill in the air. The fluffy-haired creature at the end of the leash kept darting from one side to the other, chasing after fallen leaves and whatever else managed to capture her attention. Gabriel watched the puppy with a keen fondness in his eyes, having already grown much too attached to her; she'd only been a newly added member to the family for just under a week now, but somehow it felt much longer. He'd become to attuned to her whines and yips early into having her around his apartment, but it was a lot like he'd done with Sitara and Major. For always thinking an empty home suited him better, a full one was easy to get used to. Glancing back over his shoulder, he spotted the other two, a warmth building inside of his chest. It'd been getting more noticeable lately, the time spent with Sitara only making it worse instead of better. He tried telling himself that it was only their friendship growing stronger, as crazy as that was to think, but sometimes his heart would do this odd little flutter and he'd find himself second-guessing his beliefs. Regardless of what the reality was, he shoved it to the back of his mind as he did most everything else emotion-related, finding it easier to function with a clear head. "The park is just up here," he called back to Sitara, facing forward again and almost walking straight into Indigo as she tried to attack his feet. Nearly stumbling, he sighed under his breath and gently tugged her away from his shoes, reminding himself that the more they did this, the better she'd get. |

Like starting war, Like spilling ink. Like the empty street You swore you saw Before you blinked. There's no second thought, There's no turning back. There's no calling off This avalanche. Every day, now spent Underneath white flags. Every intention, eclipsed By every stain of the past. -- there's no argument * She darted back and forth alongside her companion, who was more focused on staying by her side than she was on staying by his. It seemed whatever situation Gabriel was having with Indigo had reversed itself; Sitara was the puppy that Major had to beckon away from unknown dens and strange people. It was no matter, though, for they were safe here in the park. Major was excited; there was a new friend to sniff. Running ahead of Sitara, the white German Shepherd tackled the smaller Indigo playfully, then dashed farther ahead. Sitara was too caught up in the idea of the Earth to notice. Everything seemed to have a story, a place, and none of it had to speak to know this. It reminded the black haired beauty of where she had hailed from; a great constellation too far for it to matter right now. The stars had been beautiful, but they didn't compare to the way the rain padded gently onto her shoulders or the way the leaves changed colours.
Her attention snapped ahead to Gabriel. "Okay, Gabriel! I am enjoying your splendid plan-- Oh!" Sitara laughed as she tumbled to the ground, Major having run under legs to toy with her. The canine ensued in a fierce licking battle and all the star child could do was giggle furiously. Sitara kicked and swatted at the dog, eventually finding it in her to stand. "You are much like Canis, my friend. Almost too much so!" Giving the canine a pat on the head, the star child ran to Gabe, having not noticed she had lost her shoes quite awhile ago. Again, it was no matter. She did not need them -- she preferred to feel the cool dirt -- or snow -- between her toes. "Are you excited, friend?" Sitara asked him innocently. There's no argument- Fairness is a ghost. There's no argument- It is a rare bird at the most. But every sighting is proof. And every heart-beat proves it too: That only love can change the shape Of such permanent truths. Of such permanent truths. Such permanent truth.

WORDS ### TAGS NOTES always the charmer, Gabe | T he break in Sitara's voice drew his attention back over his shoulder, his coffee eyes flickering only briefly with concern before it broke into waves of realization after he saw what had caused the interruption. Light giggles filled his ears and he paused where he was, waiting out the licking session that had ensued between Sitara and her own pawed companion. He couldn't deny the small touch of admiration that he felt while he watched her, her liveliness tugging on the weighted strands of his soul. Perhaps this was why he always craved her company so much these days. She helped him forget about the rest of the world, and his own self, if only for just a little while. Turning back around after she got herself back up onto her feet, he looked down to find that Indigo had become just as transfixed by the sight before them as he had. Her black ears swiveled a bit before perking forward, her eyes meeting his own as if she knew what he was feeling on the inside. Gabe grimaced in return and held in another sigh, about to turn back around to find Sitara when she suddenly appeared at his side. Blinking at her, then frowning some in confusion, he asked, "Excited about what?" the prospect of being excited about being here having clearly not occurred to him. |

With golden string our universe was clothed in light Pulling at the seams, our once barren world now brims with life, that we may fall in love every time we open up our eyes. I guess space, and time, takes violent things, angry things and makes them kind. -- we are infinity * If Sitara were any newer to this world, she would not have picked up on Gabriel's constant inner battler. In fact, he still had her at a disadvantage. She could not begin to understand what it was that could possibly trouble him so intensely at most hours. Sitara could hardly fathom any sort of malcontent at all. She knew it to be real, however, and she did not belittle him in her mind. The brunette could not help her golden-eyed stare though when she had caught up. A thoughtful smile pulled at her lips, but her mind was momentarily lost in transit. The way the star child saw it, Gabriel was another constellation she got to ponder. He was by far the most beloved by her of any she had met.
His confusion reminded Sitara of gravity; Gabriel had once more pulled her back to Earth and he held her tautly. The girl's brows raised as she tried to recall what it was he was referring to, and as if a light bulb had flickered on; she smiled. "Oh. Oh! The park, yes the park! Are you not enthused?" Sitara's demeanour did not change as she asked the question; she simply continued to smile in wonderment. Had he forgotten where they were headed? It was no matter, for he would remember, and they would have a fantastic time. "I hear of these... Swings. They bring you to the sky and down again. Is this true?" Sitara's eyes shifted between happiness and excitement. "Perhaps we can visit them? Oh, Gabriel, I cannot wait!" Major pressed against her, his tail wagging in tune with her own bright energy. The dust of dust.We are the apple of God’s eye. We are infinite as the universe we hold inside. “Let there be light, let there be light, let me be right.” With golden string our universe was brought to life, that we may fall in love every time we open up our eyes.
