The sun was finally beginning to set in the sky. That was his queue to leave. As much as he hated having to turn in early Kiba was not going to take any chances being caught out in the wild tonight. Tonight after all was the first night of the month when the moon disappeared from the night sky. Oh how he hated nights like this. It was the one time in the month that he was forced to go into his weakest, most vulnerable state, the night that he was reminded of what he really was. Kiba silently walked down the familiar path back to the old house in the woods. That house served as his den ever since he made it to the safety of the forest. It was quite the appropriate place for someone like him. A human construction used to help shield the shame of his 'humanity' from the rest of the world. A decrepit place for a vial creature that could neither accept his alternate form but couldn't really call himself a wolf anymore. Just thinking about what would happen tonight onward made the large male sick to his stomach.
Just thinking about it was enough to ruin his entire day. That was a shame seeing as how well today had been all things considered. Things had been looking up for the big wolf ever since he found this forest. It had been a few months since Kiba had came to this place. Back then he had been nothing more than a tired, starved, half dead beast. In a months time he managed to fill his empty stomach. Most nights he rarely went hungry. There was plenty of big game for Kiba to hunt down that he could never do in the city. Once the hunger went away the energy came back, eventually that peaceful feeling came back as well. He was finally at peace. He didn't have to watch his back anymore for any humans that might spot him. He didn't have to worry about fending for his life every second of the day, or finding a place to hide away from the humans most of the day. He could roam freely and be himself for once.
Well, he could be free up until those dreaded moonless nights. Kiba tried to push those sad thoughts aside as he made his way back to his den. For once he tried to look at the positives. He had a good meal before he left, a nice big juicy buck to tear into, he even had the time to lay down and relax while his body digested his fresh kill before he had to turn back. He would still have some time to enjoy his last few hours as a real wolf before he changed. There wouldn't be any of that nasty business that he had to deal with that one night when he turned back in late and had to fight his change. So long as he didn't fight the change he wouldn't have to deal with the intense pain that came with that battle. The best part was that no one would see him. The few people that had were no longer a part of his life. That demoness he had first met in the city he hadn't seen in a long time, and the succubus that made him nearly lose his den had not appeared to him since. She probably never would at this rate.
There would be no worries about any unwanted guests tonight. He would just let the change happen and sleep it off till morning came and he could go back to his peaceful day as a wolf before night fell once more to shatter his delusion. After awhile of silent treading Kiba made his way back into the house. Slipping past the particially opened door Kiba trodded off to the little corner of the building that served as his den, an empty room with a pile of nondescript human clothes piled at the darkest corner of the room. The clothes were not for wearing. Kiba couldn't stand wearing human clothes but since his human form had little fur to keep itself warm during cold nights it did help to keep him more comfortable. The wolf made his way over to his makeshift bed and laid down, letting out a bit of a yawn as he made himself comfortable. There was little else for him to do now other than to wait for night to fall and let his transformation begin.

Izzy had the day off so she was out in the woods in wolf form, again. She prefered the woods to the cities and towns for multiple reasons but the main one was that it was much quieter. She wasn't really walking or running, it was more of a brisk trot. She was happy as it was, no cars or people yelling to upset her.
Soon she came to a worn looking cabin, run down and old. She sniffed around, smelling something odd on the air before going in. She sniffed around the cabin till she came to a room with a wolf in it. He didn't look vicious, he just looked like a big wolf. Curious she tilted her head and made a small noise, something between a whimper and a confused sound, as she was very curious.

There was nothing else left to do but wait now. Once Kiba made his way back into his den he made his way over to his usual spot to lay down and wait out the inevitable. The change would eventually come but it would be a bit of a wait until it happened. The sun had yet to vanish from the sky so until that happened he still had his time as a wolf. Unfortunately he didn't have anything that he could do while he was still in this form. There wasn't a whole lot to do once he got back to the den. He had no one to talk to or play with, or anything he could use to pass the time. He didn't even have a bone that he could chew on to occupy his time with. Damn it, he should have thought about bringing a bone with him from his latest kill. There was still a bit of meat left hanging on the carcass he had feasted on that could have made a nice little treat on the way back. That would have to be something to take into consideration next time. Maybe tomorrow if he was lucky not too many scavengers might come to eat the remains of his kill and he could bring a few pieces back for the next night.
That was something worth hoping for in the future. It wasn't likely to happen though, it rarely did unless one either guarded their kill or found a way to hide it from everything else that lived here in the forest. But nothing was stopping him from just going out to hunt again and bring a few pieces back home with him. There, he had a plan for tomorrow. Though that wouldn't help him stave off boredom right now. Too bad he couldn't sleep. Kiba had entertained the idea of sleep briefly since he came to lie down but he quickly brushed that thought aside. He couldn't sleep with night drawing so close. The change would interrupt his little nap when it came. Besides, he always had a bit of trouble getting himself to sleep right away when the week of his transformation approached. With him going into his shamefully weakened state he could hardly rest easy without feeling paranoid. There was always the chance that something might find him, if it did he had no way to defend himself. He was still big in his human form but he had no fangs or claws to protect himself, even his skin grew softer, making it much easier to hurt him if anyone wanted to do so.
Even in this place he had to worry. While this had been the perfect location to hide away in it was not as safe as he had thought. That succubus had found him here after all. If she could find him here in his most vulnerable moment then anyone else could to. Kiba let out a frustrated sigh as he slowly pushed himself back onto his feet. He probably wasn't going to be getting much sleep tonight, or for the rest of the week for that matter. He couldn't forget about the being that stumbled into his den. If he wanted to avoid more uncomfortable moments like that in the future it was best that he made sure the area was secure first. He could patrol his small territory a bit before nightfall, he had enough time to do so, and it would help give him something to do while he waited. Kiba was about to move out of his den and back into the hallway when he noticed something. He smelled it first, the familiar scent of a wolf entered his nose before he spotted it. Another wolf, a female one at that. A scent that did not belong in this area but there was something off about this scent. This wasn't the scent of a normal wolf but a-
Werewolf the male snarled at the thought. Kiba hated werewolves despite them being the closest thing in relation to him. Or perhaps they were the closest to kin that he had that made him despise their kind. Werewolves in their grotesque half wolf half man state were nothing like a true wolf. They didn't have as much awareness of their self or much intelligence. They were just mindless beings that dared to call themselves wolves. Kiba couldn't stand the thought that one of them was here and on tonight of all nights. He had to drive this stupid bitch away from his turf and fast. Soon enough she made her presence known. He caught the sound of a whimper. The white wolf turned his head to face the female. What he saw caught him a bit off guard. He had been expecting a deformed beast or at the very least the original human form of his intruder (it was after all not a full moon) but this female looked more like an ordinary wolf to him. It was strange but that didn't stop him from baring his fangs at her. Wolf or not she was a threat to him and he wasn't going to stand here pondering her existence when his safety was on the line. A loud growl rose out of the male as he glared down at the smaller female. “Get out.”

Isabelle just sat down, no way was she letting this mutt tell her what to do. She didn't know if she was stronger than the wolf in front of her but she knew that there was something he lacked in that she could do better. She wasn't in the mood to deal with a fight right now so she hoped she could get around it and maybe become friends.
"Hello to you to," She said with sarcasm. She gave a half smile to the wolf creature in front of her. "I can tell you are no normal wolf but you don't smell exactly like a werewolf would either," She sniffed the air, musing on what the scent reminded her of, or rather of who. "Your, okay I don't know what to call your kind but your like the opposite of a normal werewolf aren't you?" She asked remembering one of her friends named Tormund.

What was this female? From the scent that Kiba had caught he knew right away that she was a werewolf, but what his eyes saw was anything but what his sense of smell had told him. This was the first time he had ever seen a werewolf that had the form of a true wolf. She looked no more different than any real wolf he had ever seen before. Was she really a werewolf? For one mad second he almost thought that she might be one of his kind. Kiba still had a great deal of trouble trying to fit the small bits and pieces that were the memories of his past together. He knew that he had been born a wolf, he knew he had lived as any other wolf would, but then something had happened to him and he had changed. What he was remained a mystery but whether he was still a wolf or a human wasn't the only mystery that he didn't know the answer to. Just like his species Kiba did not know if there were more creatures like him. It wasn't out of the realm of possibility that the same curse that afflicted him had touched other wolves, there was a chance that there was someone else out there that he would encounter that was just like him.
But this wolf was not it. Her scent was closer to that of a werewolf than his was, even if his scent had changed that much he did know. What she was did peak his interest slightly, but not enough to make him not act defensive. Whatever she was did not matter right now. What did matter was that this female was a potential threat that had wandered in his territory on the eve of the night that he was at his most vulnerable. He had to get her to leave before nightfall. What had once felt like it was such a long way aways now felt uncomfortably close. The sun was setting and with it would fall the precious minutes that he had left as a wolf. If she was still here and he changed forms he would have no way to defend himself. The large white wolf was quick to bare his fangs and growled for the other creature to get out of his turf. But like the few beings that he had met in this area she did anything but leave.
Words could not describe how annoyed Kiba felt when he saw the female sit down where she had stood. Why did he always have to deal with the stubborn ones? Not just stubborn but snarky ones too. Just hearing the sarcastic tone in her voice as she 'greeted' him made the male groan mentally. This was the third female that he had met that would most likely give him a headache before she was done with him. When she started pondering what he was the male growled again. He hated to acknowledge that his scent had changed since his affliction, and he hated having that pointed out to him even more. Would she figure out what would happen to him soon because of it? It wasn't a likely scenario, most beings that could pick up his scent at all have never been able to identify his kind before and he doubted that things would change with this one. Still he needed to get her to leave before she did.
“Yes I am nothing like werewolf scum.” he growled, making his way closer to the other canine. In his true form Kiba looked menacing. He was a giant by wolf standards, he didn't know if that was due to his affliction or if he had simply been born that way. But he easily towered over the other wolf. His size along with his aggressive stance would be enough to make any creature nervous. “What I am does not concern you. What you should be concerned with is the fact that you are in territory that does not belong to you. As a bitch you should be able to understand and respect my claim to this area. I have marked this place and the area around it as my territory, by all rights it is mine. Unless you plan to challenge me you should leave before I am forced to make you.”

Izzy growled lowly at the way he spoke of her kind. "Watch how you speak of werewolves," She said with her eyes narrowed. She started the conversation hoping for a new friendship but that hope was dying little by little. She would still prefer not to start a fight but she certainly didn't want to leave and she doubted he would be able to force her to leave in the limited time she had.
"If you are what I suspect you are you don't have enough time to fight me," She said with a sly and stubborn smile. You aren't going to be able to keep your wolf form tonight and I COULD protect you. I am not here to hurt you for sure," She added, trying to smooth over what she may have harmed with her words earlier. She really didn't want to hurt him, she wanted to make friends with him and she really was trying to.

It was time to show this female who was in charge here. There wasn't a lot that Kiba needed to do to show who was top wolf in this scenario. With his naturally intimidating looks, and prideful, stubborn nature he easily slipped into the role of an alpha. It was only natural when he had once been an alpha in the past. At least from what he could remember he had been at some point. Back then he didn't have to be nearly as aggressive to maintain his position. Kiba had always been the kind of male that only got aggressive when the situation called for it, most of his pack had too much respect for him to even think about trying to challenge his authority. But after everything that had happened to him things had changed. His time in solitude and paranoia caused the wolf to become more hostile to those he came into contact with. There was no one in this world that he could trust. Any new being unless they were so weak even his human form could take them on was a threat to him. He couldn't take the risk with this female that she wouldn't take advantage of his situation if she discovered it.
In Kiba's world the way that this wolf was behaving seemed like a challenge. It had been a few months since Kiba had found this place. There was no markings of any kind that suggested that this particular area of the forest was owned by anyone so naturally he chose to claim it for himself. He did not hide the fact that he owned this area. He marked it often enough to let the world know that it had been taken. There was no way that this bitch didn't know that someone else was living here. Even if she had no sense of smell she would have put two and two together once she saw him here. The moment that two rival wolves met each other in lands already claimed to one wolf a few things could happen. The intruder could choose to leave to avoid confrontation, submit to the other wolf and ask to be part of their pack or mate, or they could challenge them for their lands.
This female wasn't being flirtatious and was not lowering herself to show submissiveness, leaving that possibility out of the equation. She also didn't turn away from him to leave, which only meant she wished to challenge his claim. He could see it as nothing else as that, which only helped to fuel his frustrations with her. A fight was the last thing that he wanted right now. Kiba wasn't opposed to fighting but that was only when he needed to. Fighting was a last resort left only when he had no other choice. He would sooner grab her and throw her out the door than try to rip her throat out, but if she wanted to fight him he would have little choice than to do just that. Kiba was not happy and it showed in the way he spoke to her. He snorted when she started to object to how he addressed her kind.
“Why should I? Your kind act like vermin.” Kiba started circling the female as he spoke, looking over her figure closely as he tried to assess what he was dealing with. “The werewolves I have had the displeasure of meeting think they are so much better than true wolves just because they are human. They feel like they are entitled to do whatever they please and that I should submit to their will because they are better than me.” If this was her only form he wouldn't have much of a problem to deal with if he fought her now. She was smaller than he was and like most female wolves she was slimmer too. “If you expect me to roll over for you just like the rest of your humanoid scum you are sadly mistaken.” Kiba stopped circling the other wolf, moving to the side to give her enough space to slip past him out the way she had come. “I will only tell you this once. Leave. Now. Or I will show you just how pathetic you really are.” This female was a threat but one that he wanted to deal with without more of a fuss. He could only offer her the only peaceful solution that she had left before he had to do something. Kiba was all too aware of what little time he had left, each second that he wasted talking to her was bringing him one step closer to a scenario he didn't want to play out. He waited for a response, for her to either stand her ground or take the out that he was giving her when she said something he didn't expect.
The female's words made Kiba take a step back in surprise. Did she know what was going to happen to him soon? That was impossible! Yet what she had said and the way she said it with such certainty made him hesitant to dismiss it. Another growl escaped his maw as he glared the female down. He didn't even let her finish speak before he lunged at her....or so he would let her think. He jumped far enough to make her think that he was going in for an attack, just to make her prepare to defend himself before he turned to run past the entrance. He hated having to do something so stupid and risky but what choice did he have? This damn werewolf had somehow figured out what he was before he had even changed. If she knew what he was and his weaknesses his life was in danger. Fighting her now even if he was lucky enough to beat her before the sun fell wouldn't save him. She would only come back later when he would be more vulnerable to finish what she started. It wouldn't matter if he beat her, either way he had lost his home. Running past the door Kiba took off as fast as he could back into the safety of the forest. Hoping that he could lose the bitch under the cover of the woods and find temporary shelter before his transformation was complete.

Well, at least she understood why this wolf was like this toward werewolves, anyone would be when dealing with those arrogant fools. "I don't think like that, I never have. Just because I have a human form doesn't mean I'm better," She replied, she wasn't going to back down.
When the wolf lunged Izzy stepped to the side to where if they did try to land the attack they would just go past her but it soon became apparent that wasn't their plan. When they ran out of the small shack they were in she turned and ran after them, if they stayed out in the woods in human form there was a high probability they'd get hurt and she didn't want that on her conscience. As she ran she kept their scent and tried to follow a trail, she found she was actually pretty good at this, any time she couldn't see him she just kept to his scent. All the time it was getting darker, it was going to be an extremely dark night with no moon but she wasn't going to give up on the male wolf in front of her. Him running told her she was right in her assumption of what he was.

Kiba never really listened to much of what the female had said when she had tried to defend her own kind. There was nothing that she could have said to make him trust werewolves, and there was definitely nothing that she could say that would make him trust her either. Why would he trust someone who he didn't know that challenged him in his own territory? When she called him out on what he was that only made the already paranoid wolf even more paranoid. She knew what he was. He didn't know how she knew but she did, if she knew what would happen to him soon then he was in terrible danger. There were only two options left for the white wolf at that point, fight or flight, and in the end he chose flight. It was a terrible blow to his already wounded pride to turn his back on this irksome bitch but what choice did he have? He didn't have a lot of time left to guarantee that he could overpower her and kick her out before his transformation came. Even if he did unless he could kill her there was a good chance that she would come back when she knew that he was human.
The risks far outweighed the gain. No matter what decision he made the place he had called his den was no more. So he let her have it. Feigning an attack Kiba quickly darted out the door and back into the forest. His home was lost to him but there was still a chance that he could find some safe place to hide away for the night. He had no idea where he would go once the sun came up but that was the price he had to pay. Too bad that damn female wouldn't let him go in peace. The moment that he had fled he could hear the other wolf's footsteps close behind him. Great, yet another thing for him to worry about tonight. Was she that determined to drive him out? Or did she seek to rip his throat out as well? Kiba picked up the pace as he ran deeper in the forest. He wasn't going to give into her, as determined as she was to get to him Kiba wasn't so hopeless that he couldn't lose one stupid werewolf.
He had an idea. The white wolf charged down an old familiar path. In the few months that he had made this area his home Kiba learned the landscape of his territory inside and out, that included the habits of all the other local wildlife that he depended on for survival. The path he had chosen to take happened to be one of the deer herds sleeping place. The local deer had a few places that they liked to sleep in and they alternated which place that they stayed at to lessen the chance that predators like him would come to claim one of their own while they all slumbered. If his memory was correct the spot he was heading towards they would already be settling down for the night. Sure enough he was right, the place was teeming with deer when Kiba charged through it.
His presence sent a panic into the herd, making all the fauna scatter all over the place. The chaos was just what he needed. It was easy enough to slip into the frightened crowd to mask his presence from the other female. The confusion would hopefully be enough to buy him some time to lose her for good. Unfortunately the time it took him just to get there to try and throw the other wolf off his tail had cost him. Night had fallen by the time he reached the herd. As the white wolf darted past the deer he could feel a familiar tingling sensation running through his body. It wouldn't be long now before he transformed. Not now, please not now! the wolf thought as he started to fight back the change. It was too early in the chase for him to allow such a thing to happen. But fighting the transformation now came with its own set of risks. The change was inevitable during this time of the month. Fighting only delayed the change, and it brought intense pain, enough to cripple him if he continued to be stubborn.
He had no other choice though. He couldn't risk being caught by the female so soon. He needed to get to safety first. The tingling sensation was soon replaced with burning. Kiba whimpered as he fled, it felt like his skin was on fire. He kept running though, moving as fast as he could and as far as he could as possible. He had lost sight of the deer by now, but he had no idea if he was still being pursued by the werewolf. It was hard to focus when the pain running through his body was escalating so quickly. He had to keep going but as the muscles in his body started to shift and change shape the most he could manage to do was walk forward. It took all the willpower he had left not to scream. It was too late to stop it now, the change was coming. He could barely manage to crawl his way into thicker brush to hide himself in before his bones started shifting as well.
A short series of yelps and growls could be heard from before things finally grew still. It felt like an eternity before his transformation was complete. The wolf, now turned man laid where he was, panting heavily, his body raked with pain so blinding that he was dangerous close to passing out. He couldn't pass out now though, he still needed to put as much distance between him and his pursuer as possible. He needed to move but he could do it anymore. His body wouldn't respond to his demands anymore. All he could do was lay there and hope he had put enough distance between him and the werewolf that he would be able to rest long enough to stand up again before she found him.

Izzy of course kept going, she wasn't tired or about to give up. Okay maybe she was a little tired but she really wasn't going to give up. She ran after him, pushing herself as fast as she could go. She was gaining, and quickly, though she wasn't sure how long she would be able to keep up her speed.
She was almost caught up when he entered a field of deer, startling the poor things and making them scatter. She slowed as the chaos started, taking her time weaving between deer so she wasn't trampled. She was trying to catch this guy not get herself killed.
By the time she was through the heard and it had somewhat calmed down she had completely lost sight of the male wolf. She sniffed around till she found his scent then took off, following the trail. The scent got a little stronger as she followed it, meaning she was getting closer.
Finally, her ears perked as she bones shifting. It was full night by now and she was almost fully relying on scent to guide her. It was still nice being in the middle of the forest, she felt a little better knowing that she could defend herself from nearly anything as well. She continued to follow the scent at a walk, not wanting to scare the male further.
Arriving at rather thick brush where she thought the smell was coming from she sat down. "You know, if you would have listened I was offering to protect you for the night. The offer still stands if you want it. I wasn't trying to run you off your land, I'm just stubborn when I find someone I wish to be friends with and protect," She said as she looked for any sign of movement in the brush.

Kiba's plans to escape wasn't going out the way he hoped it would. He had hoped that when he ran that the werewolf would not follow him, but she did. Hoping that he might be able to make her lose sight of him so he could gain the advantage, find a way to make her lose his scent, so he can find a safe place to stay the night, all before he was forced into his human form, he had ran into a herd of deer to create confusion. The plan had worked somewhat. The werewolf did lose him amidst all the chaos he had created. It was a small victory but he was a long way away from being able to celebrate it. He still needed to mask his scent if he didn't want her to find him. But there was no time for that. Night had fallen and the pain started. That terrible, agonizing pain that always came whenever he tried to fight the transformation. It had been awhile since Kiba had dealt with such pain and like those times before he didn't deal with it well.
By the time that Kiba had turned human he was exhausted, in agony, and miserable. He couldn't bring himself to stand, let alone breath. There was no way that he could get up and keep going in his condition right now. He needed rest, he needed time to heal a bit before he tried to stand. At least he had found some place to hide, even if it was nothing more than a bit of foliage. It wasn't much but it was something. It wasn't enough to keep the female werewolf from finding him. While his attempt to stall her did work it didn't take her long to catch his scent and follow it to his hiding spot. After awhile he could hear the faint footfalls of something approaching. Though he couldn't see what was coming his way he had a good guess to what it could be.
Even as a human Kiba was still capable of growling. The second that she spoke he growled in response. Did she really expect him to believe that she was somehow looking out for his well being? “I never asked for your protection.” the white haired man snarled back. “I don't need you to protect me, I can take care of myself. I was just fine on my own before you showed up.” How pathetic did she think he was that he somehow needed her? Kiba had been living alone for so long he was perfectly capable of taking care of himself. He had done all the right things, he survived as best as he could in the human city, half starved most of the time, forced to hide away in whatever shelter he could find, all while keeping out of trouble. Then he had found this place. When he found the forest and the old human structure hidden deep within it he knew he found the perfect place. He could hunt to his hearts content, no longer did he have to starve, and the house provided the perfect sanctuary during the new moon.
Most creatures both normal and supernatural wouldn't dare enter his den. The only one that had had been the succubus. Her presence had bothered him but he didn't leave. He had considered it once but rejected the idea. The demon female did intrude in his territory but they had reached some level of understanding. She wasn't a threat to him, and he was sure that she wouldn't tell anyone else about where he was so he had stayed. Now he wished he hadn't. If he had left after that first encounter this would never have happened. The more that the werewolf spoke the more pissed off Kiba became. She didn't mean to run him off? Too late for that, as far as he was concerned his den was lost to him. Once again Kiba had no where that he could call home and it was all her fault. And for what? For friendship? Another vicious growl escaped his lips in response to her. “Screw you, screw your protection, and screw your friendship.” Kiba forced himself to sit up just so he could glare at the stupid female. “Get out of my sight. Get as far away from me as you can and pray that we never meet again. Or I swear the moment that the sun comes out and you are still in my line of sight I will kill you.”

Izzy held back a growl, knowing he would only see it as more of a challenge. "I know you didn't but I also know you are more vulnerable during a new moon. I was at least TRYING to be nice! I had a friend who was like you, I thought maybe I could have another," She said, thankfully without growling. She took a deep breath, she was glad she had control of her wolf well enough not to growl.
She glared at the male as he spoke. She was at least trying to be kind, she could have snapped at him as soon as she saw him but she didn't. Now he was insulting her further and she wasn't taking in very kindly. She held back the growl that was starting in her throat.
"I am not running from this, because if I do I will always want to come back and the next time I wont be alone," She said, thinking of the organization she was a part of. "And I know you can smell or have at least put together what I am, do you really think, with knowing that, this is my only form?" She asked with a skeptical look at the male, not even thinking about the words coming out of her mouth any more, she was DONE trying to be nice and think about her words. She was also very serious. This male had no chance if she shifted to her third form.

So she found him after all. It looked like no matter what he did Kiba was not going to be getting away from his troubles tonight. Kiba didn't really believe in luck but if the concept of luck really existed then he had to have some of the worse luck in the world. Having to deal with this stupid curse was never a good thing. No matter how long he had lived with it, it still made him feel miserable. It was bad enough that he had to be human for a night but now he had to deal with this. Couldn't the world just give him a break for once? Kiba wasn't just spouting nonsense when he declared that he was just fine without the female werewolf around. The den that he had had served as his safe haven for months now. Besides the one instance with that succubus he didn't have to worry about intruders on the night he was his most vulnerable. Until this bitch came into the picture that is. The way he saw it tonight was her fault and he was more than willing to make her know that.
The male winced when she threw his own vulnerability back in his face. Of course Kiba knew the dangers of tonight meant for him. He knew better than anyone else how vulnerable his human state made him. There was a reason why he hated this side of himself so much, and why he had gone through such lengths to keep himself well hidden during this time. But how did she knew about it? That was the real question. From Kiba's travels he learned quickly that his affliction was not a common thing. No other creature he had ever encountered before knew what he was, even he didn't know what he was now. Yet this female did. She figured him out before he even started changing. How did she know?
Soon enough he got his answer. She had met someone like him before, that would explain why she knew what he was the moment that she caught his scent. Kiba watched the female thoughtfully for a second. Kiba had never met another of his kind before, for a long time he wondered if he was the only one of his kind. It wasn't completely out of the realm of possibility but he didn't think too hard on it. If there was another one of his kind out there should he try to find them? There was no telling what this other mysterious wolf might know that could give him more insight on his affliction, and ultimately how to rid himself of it. He might have considered treating this werewolf better so he would have the chance of meeting this 'friend' that she was referring to but he was too mad to even try.
“If you were nice you would have the decency to leave me be when I told you to leave.” he snarled back. He growled again when she tried to explain that she was only looking for friendship. “Just because you befriended another wolf like me you think that all of my kind would greet you warmly? I don't know what you really want from me or this other wolf but whatever it is I will have no part of it.” What was probably meant as an innocent gesture had not been taken well. This werewolf might have meant well but all Kiba could see was an annoyance, and even worse, a threat. And like any threat Kiba dealt with it harshly. The white haired man gave this wolf two choices. She could leave him to his misery or stay and be killed the moment he could transform again. He meant every word he said. Her continued presence was a threat in his eyes, he already made up his mind about leaving his territory for good. Thanks to this female he had no other choice but to leave this area and never return. But leaving would not be easy if he had someone hunting him down. If she stayed then she left him no choice but to end her life so he could be sure of his own safety.
Kiba did not expect her to take his words well, and judging from her reaction she didn't. She went as far as throwing back threats of her own. First saying she had others that she could bring to hunt him down at her leisure, perhaps she was referring to a pack of her own, maybe even the other wolf she mentioned earlier. Then she hinted that she didn't just have this one form to fight him with. Kiba didn't look the slightest bit worried about what she said. The large male continued to glare down the werewolf. “Go ahead, go get your packmates and try to hunt me down. I will be long gone before any of you find me.” That was only half true. Kiba would certainly try to make himself scarce before she could go back on his trail. But to do that he would need to head back into the human city where it was easier to hide his scent from her and any of her packmates. But how far could he get out of this place when he had to be confined at night? For the next week or so Kiba was going to have a lot of trouble moving about freely to make his escape. That wouldn't stop him from trying though. “If you won't leave then you have no choice but to kill me now. You would be a fool to do otherwise, so make up your mind.”

Izzy puffed out her chest, she didn't think she was above anyone else but she hated when anyone talked down to her or treated her as if she was lying. "I want nothing from either of you, I am friends with this other wolf and we have gotten each other out of some pretty ruff spots! That is it, I thought maybe others of his kind would be somewhat kind," She said, her voice hard and dangerously close to a snarl. She was about two seconds away from biting this dude's head off.
The others she had said she could possibly bring weren't really a pack, just others in the organization she worked for, not that she could really say that. "It would take you a while to move considering you state at night, and I'm willing to bet that it's not just tonight your going to be like that. It's just the start of the new moon, it could just be tonight but I doubt it," She said, her voice reasonable as she thought and looked at the night sky.
She was about to respond to his second comment when the bushes behind her rustled. Since she was facing the male this meant a threat, something possibly sneaking up behind her. The wind was blowing softly but just enough so she couldn't smell what it was, though if she had she would have been even more on guard.
Rose had slept through most of their conversation, she had been trying to stay up till she passed out after two days of paranoia without sleep. She had hidden in a simple bush before she passed out and her shifting in her sleep was what alerted Izzy to her presence. The menacing sound of a growl was what shook her out of her sleep. She ran, knowing she wouldn't have woken up for nothing, but not knowing which way to run along with just waking up made it difficult to know which direction to run in.
When she dashed out of the bush she ran straight into the area where she was visible to the growling wolf. The little dragon froze, standing stiffly, looking up at the wolf that was at least a foot taller than her. Her frame started to shake but she couldn't move from her spot due to fear.

This werewolf was something else. She had gone through a lot of trouble dealing with Kiba tonight, from intruding in his home, ignoring his warnings, chasing him through the woods, and now confronting him it seemed like an awful lot of trouble just to deal with one creature she just met. What did she want from him? She claimed what she was after was a friendship. But that idea seemed baffling to him. She could say that she wanted to be friends all she wanted but actions spoke louder than words. Her actions were more aggressive than they seemed friendly, and despite the fact she claimed to have chased him down so she could 'protect him' she had outright threatened to hunt him down if he tried to get away. The white haired male chuckled bitterly as she spoke. “You really have more of the mind of a human don't you?” he said. “You can't help but lump every other creature in the same category. Just because one of my kind was willing to deal with your crap doesn't mean the rest of us will. Not every wolf is friendly or simple minded enough to deal with the likes of you. There is nothing that you can do to make me like your friend, so leave me alone.”
He was really getting tired of having to say the same thing over and over again, but this female was just not getting it. All he wanted tonight, like he wanted every night during times like this was to be left alone. It was a simple desire, he had lost so much already. He had loss his memories, his sense of self, and had been turned into a freak that had no place in this world. He could never have a pack to call his own, or ever be a part of. What normal wolf would want to run alongside someone who turned human once a month? He no longer fit with his own kind. He didn't fit with the humans either, even if he could he didn't want to live amongst beings that were more likely to either use or kill him once they found out he was not one of them. His life was harsh and lonely, but it was something he had learned to live with and chose to live with in solitude. He could deal with it alone, but then things like this happened. Some stupid person decided to intrude on his life and force themselves on him for their own selfish purposes.
Kiba rolled his eyes when the werewolf went on about how he was not going to get very far in his current state. He didn't need the likes of her to tell him what he could and couldn't do. Once again the female missed the point. Whether he could make it far on his own without her and her pack finding him was not the point. The point was he didn't want her in his life. If she insisted on forcing herself on him she was giving him little choice but to lash out. For all his bark Kiba was not so eager for violence. He didn't fight unless he had to, but with this female threatening to hunt him down with others unless he gave into her what choice did he have but to fight? If she would not leave him alone she was asking for bloodshed. If blood was what she wanted then she might as well be smart about it. That was why he pointed out that she could do them both a favor and finish him off now. He didn't want to die, he would still fight back if she chose to attack him now, but while the night was young, and he was still very weak from his forced transformation he was vulnerable to an attack. The sooner this was over with the better. He was already growing tired of this confrontation and wanted it to be over with so he could get some peace. Whether that peace be silence or given in a pool of his own blood didn't matter.
The choice was hers...
Sadly she was taking too long to make that choice. Just as Kiba's patience was running out and he was preparing to do something about it a sudden commotion drew both canines attention elsewhere. While the werewolf and the man were having their little spat another creature popped out of no where. It was one of the strangest beings that Kiba had ever seen. It looked like a lizard but larger than most that he had ever seen, with strange colourings and wings. It looked dazed and confused, but the moment it saw the werewolf it had run into it looked terrified. Great. Just what he needed. More company. Wincing a bit Kiba forced himself up on his feet with the help of a nearby tree. His body was still feeling the side effects of his transformation, walking would be difficult but he could manage on his own. “I've had enough of this.” he finally announced. “If you won't leave then I will. If you want a new friend so badly you can bother that little creature over there. I am sure if it rejects you too you will just threaten it into submission.” he snarled before turning away. He almost felt bad for trying to dump his problem on another being but there was little he could do for it when he could barely fend for himself. If it was smart it would run or fly away. With his luck the werewolf would just ignore it and continue harassing him anyway. Whatever she decided to do with it he wouldn't see yet, he was too busy trying to limp away from the stupid werwolf to bother.
