Man Sera missed this place. It had been some time since Seraphina had come to the wandering mule or any bar really. It was an unusual thing for the young solaris to skip out on getting drunk in a more public setting. One of the highlights of Sera's life normally was getting wasted out on the town, getting into little scraps here and there for amusement or at the very least to save her butt. But lately things had changed. Sera's world wasn't as safe to be anymore, and it was all thanks to the PIDA. Damn supernatural cop agency thing trying to hunt her down for something she didn't do. It wasn't her fault that that stupid punk lost his leg. If anything it was his fault. The boy had been picking on some poor homeless guy and Sera had simply stepped in to stop him. How was she to know that a third party would step in and shoot the kid's knee clean off? Sera's only crime was burning the wound to stop the bleeding while she and they guy who shot him called the ambulance to save his sorry butt. That kid would have died if she didn't use her powers to save him. Too bad the agents after her didn't see it that way. As far as the PIDA knew Sera was a dangerous criminal and they were going to catch her.
Sera had little choice but to run for it. It had been a little over a month since she had gone into hiding. Boy what a month it was, it was hard trying to not get into trouble but some how she managed it. Today was the first day since that encounter that Sera dared to venture outside. To celebrate this occassion she couldn't help but go to an old haunt of hers. That happened to be here. Ah it was good to finally be back at the good old bar. Seraphina strolled into the building, smiling and saying hi to the staff, order up a few beers, and sitting at her favourite spot. The evening had started out pretty peacefully all things considered. Some of the staff came over to chat her up, asking her where she had disappeared to, a few even daring to make jokes about the place finally not being torn to shreds by her antics. Other than that nothing. No one strange bothered her, as far as she could see there was no one suspicious looking for her. All was good, all was peaceful. At least for now that was. The night was young, there was plenty of time for something bad to happen. But for now she was content, and wanted to keep it that way.

The cloaked figure moved through the dark shadows. It was Akhtar. He honestly didn't want to be seen around "The Wandering Mule." In all honesty the bar had become a rather hang out for the unsavory supers in New Orlands. Aless was known to be hanging around the bar even in all of her high end elegance she was still a fighter. She may dress and look like a runway model but she was lethal...she was dangerous so naturally she would be in a place like this. Akhtar shook his head as the thoughts of his feisty friend passed through. They didn't always see eye to eye but they would protect the other.
It was actually quite funny that this new "shift" he guessed one could say came to New Orlands. The supers were becoming bold. They were no longer hiding behind closed doors and in the shadows. He supposed Gil would be the "leader" of this new found wave of pride amongst the supers. The once on going war between Gil and PIDA had caused tensions to rise to a new level but even through all of that there was still secrecy amongst the supers and the humans who knew about them. Akhtar was apart of the elite in both the supernatural realm and amongst the mortals. His business were thriving and a lot of people in the supernatural world respected him. This respect extended to PIDA to his friends who were apart of the organization.
The cold night air brushed against the skin of his face as he made his way to the door. He didn't know exactly who he was looking for but he did have a general idea of what she looked like. It was actually Aless who gave him the heads up of the girls whereabouts. She told him she looked strangely like the latest orphan he had taken into his home. She warned him that the young girl and her demon bear could cause him trouble but she being a friend told him where he could find a possible relative. He went inside of the bar and lowered the hood of his cloak. Using magic he made the cloak quickly disappear into the night air before the door closed behind him. He looked around the bar and saw who he was looking for. The shock of white hair gave her away. She was most definitely the person he was looking for.
He moved to an open seat next to her and said in his thick Egyptian accent, "Are you Seraphina? Someone told me I could find you here...I am Akhtar and I think I have some information you would find rather interesting."

It was pretty quiet in the bar by the time Seraphina had arrived. It was a little surprising to see how slow it was, while it was still a week day the wandering mule wasn't normally this dead. Besides the few people that knew her and came to talk to her Seraphina was soon left alone to drink in silence. It wasn't the most ideal way to spend her first night in a long time out but she had to admit it wasn't all that bad. Peace and quiet could be a good thing, even for someone as rowdy as she was. God knew that she could use a moment of damn peace. The solaris had enough trouble dealing with the damn PIDA that she had little tolerance for getting into serious trouble. Sera wanted to take things easy for tonight. No more trouble, at worse she would take a normal barfight or two, but other than that she wanted to keep her hands clean for once.
Unfortunately for her it seemed fate wouldn't let her have that chance. While Sera was sitting in her spot drinking a peculiar individual caught her eye. The Wandering Mule was no stranger to interesting individuals, but this guy was strange even to the normal patrons standards. That dark hooded figure just screamed trouble, it was like he wasn't even trying to hide his shadiness. This stranger's appearance would have been of interest to the solaris in the past. Had it been any other time she would have just watched the guy go about his business, maybe even approach him and do a little prodding of her own. But that was back when people like that stranger wouldn't be coming over to someone like her. Sera might be problematic at times, she was reckless, violent, and a thief, but she wasn't the kind of dangerous criminal that dealt with the shady sort of crowd. People like this guy didn't come looking for people like her. Even now with the PIDA possibly still chasing her butt she wouldn't have thought much about this guy.
But when he looked her direction, and started heading towards her Seraphina sensed trouble. Crimson eyes watched the man as he came over to her table warily. It wasn't just her imagination playing tricks on her, this guy came here looking for her of all people. That fact was enough to put her on guard. By the time the stranger came and took the seat across from her Sera was already prepared for the worse. Before she could think up something clever to say the man asked her who she was. So he already knew her name huh? That couldn't be good. “Maybe I am and maybe I'm not. Wouldn't you like to know?” the girl said with a smile and look that said 'don't fuck with me'. It was pointless to lie about who she was, if he already knew her name then he knew what she looked like. Sera's name wasn't that common and neither was her appearance. It wouldn't be too hard for anyone who wanted to find her to do so. Even so she wasn't going to be a good little girl and comply with this stranger. If he was a threat she would make his job difficult just to spite him.
If he wasn't a threat then she would be more willing to at least hear him out. It was all a matter of finding out what he was first. The stranger was quick enough to tell her who he was before she could ask him. His name was Akhtar, or at least that was what he wanted her to think. The name wasn't much to go by. Sera knew no one that went by that name, and for all she knew it was just an alias he was using. She was still not convinced, but what he said next did make her curious. The strange man claimed he was looking to not get something from her, but to give her something instead. That certainly drew her interest. “Information huh? That's new.” the girl mused. “I might be a little interested in what that could be. But I am sure that doesn't come without a price right? If it involves going anywhere with you, or giving you something in return you can forget it. I ain't stupid. I really doubt you are trying to find some random chick to tell her anything out of the kindness of your heart. What are you really after?”

Akhtar couldn't help but hold back a smirk. He could tell by the way that the girl was reading him she was trying to size him up. He had already made his own assumptions about Seraphina simply by the fact that she was regular of The Wandering Mule. The relation between Annie and Seraphina was evident. Although the girl didn't know of her younger sibling, or rather siblings they did share a personality. AKhtar could just look into her eyes and peer deep into her soul and see the fighter in her. In fact he never broke eye contact witht he girl. Although she was not a mortal her vanity rivaled that of many mortals. They were always so sure of themselves. She reminded him of that part. Even in the way she spoke to him. It could indeed be his royal upbringing but it was just something that rather bothered him. He always tried to emphasize the importance of carrying ones self correctly in public.
Akhtar looked at her as she spoke to him. He actually had the urge to leave her when she wanted to start her games. He was not here for that. He was actually trying to help his friend or rather his latest charge reunite her family. He didn't come to this desolate hang out for the low life supers who poured through the portal with no recollection of their past and no dreams with intentions of playing mental chess with the haughty woman across from him. He looked at her unimpressed and said, "I'm actually quite sure you're here. Even the description of your characteristics was spot on. I don't know why you think someone is here for this mental game your'e playing but I think you want to hear what I have to say. He eyed her once more making sure to never break eye contact with her. He wanted her to realize he wasn't playing any games.
Akhtar didn't understand what the girl spoke of. She must have really been around the lowest of scum that crawled through New Orlands. He didn't understand why the girl got caught up with them but if the stories he heard about her fighting were true he truly understood. The smirk passed over his lips when she cockily spoke as if she was a mind reader. He let her finish before he coolly replied, "Actually no, there is nothing I want in return we actually can continue to sit here and discuss this. There is nothing you have that I seek." He actually thought about it for a moment and wanted to know just how much she remembered of her past. He said, "Tell me Seraphina" The way he pronounced her name, adding emphasis on the "S" and rolling the "R" as if he were speaking his native Arabic would be to some venomous but he was just trying to show her he was not playing games, leaning forward a bit he said, "Tell me how much of your past do you remember? Tell me of your family." He knew she wouldn't be able to and if she did it was total bs and he already knew it. He wasn't trying to throw the existence of Annie on her all at once but she wasn't making his compassionate side shine as bright as normal.

Seraphina couldn't help but chuckle at the strange man's reaction. While the man didn't get all pissed with her cheekiness it was pretty obvious that he wasn't too amused with her dodging the question about her identity. He didn't seem the type that would be easy to anger, which meant she would have a bit more trouble shaking him off if she needed to. Hot headed guys were easy to deal with, get them a little worked up and you could easily predict their moves and beat them up without much effort. Guys with more focus and self control were more dangerous. How dangerous was this guy? she wondered. Sera wasn't the best at telling how powerful a person was without seeing them in action, but her in born instinct was at least useful at identifying who was more than human just from being nearby them. This man was definitely someone to worry about. Like many residence in New Orlands this Akhtar guy felt more than human. There was some power hidden there, she didn't know how much but it was enough to tell that he wasn't your normal human, but not alien enough to place him as a supernatural. Was he some kind of hybrid like that strange british guy? Could he be working with the PIDA?
“Nah man, I ain't playing mind games with you, I'm just being a jackass.” the girl grinned as she spoke. “Mind games aren't really my forte, I like simple games...if you catch my drift.” Seraphina cracked the knuckles of her fist to help drive the point home. Human or not Sera had no problems getting into a fight if need be, and she made him know that much. “Perhaps something more simple is more to your taste. Depending on what you have to say we might just end up playing together. But we can discuss games later, you came here to talk.” Sera chugged the rest of her beer before resting her head on her hands and smiling at her potential friend/foe. “So Mr. Tall, dark, and omnious, what do you gotta say? And what's the catch?” There had to be a catch to all of this she was sure, and made sure to make him know that she realized it. It wasn't every day that someone with no noticeable connection to you had important information to just give away for free. He had to be after something. Surely it wasn't money. While Sera sometimes had to wave a bit of cash here and there to pay for repair fees for things she broke during bar fights, it was pretty damn obvious to anyone that knew her that she wasn't drowning in cash. If this man wanted money for some juicy information he would be disappointed. Maybe he was after some kind of service? She had no clue what kind of services this man thought she could offer but she did have some useful talents that could be of use in bargaining if need be.
But to her surprise the man insisted that he wasn't looking for anything from her. Sera looked a little surprised but didn't say anything, choosing to give the man the chance to speak first. While the man said he wanted nothing from her he didn't just come out and say what he had came here to tell her. Instead he started asking her some questions of his own. Sera was a little puzzled by his first question. What did she remember about her past? “Well since I don't suffer from amnesia, suffered any head injuries as of late, or as far as I know have been dropped on my head as a baby its safe to say I remember a lot about my past.” Not that she would tell him any details. Sera's past was a private tale that she planned to keep to herself. No one knew where she came from or the events that led her to live the life she had today, and she planned to keep it that way. There was no way in hell she was going to give any information on that to some guy she just met. The question didn't really bother her though, it was the second question that did.
Sera's whole demeanor changed the moment that her family was brought up. The girl leaned back in her seat and crossed her arms against her chest as she gave the man a dark look. “There's nothing to tell.” she replied. Family, that was the last time that Sera ever wanted to think about. She had done enough thinking about that back when she was a child in the orphanage and years still after that. Sera was done thinking about the parents that she never had. Having them pop into this conversation now did not make her happy. Just who was this guy and why did he want to know about her 'family'?

Akhtar smirked. He noticed the subtle change in her body language. She was hiding something. It wasn't his business or in his nature to pry. He knew she was hiding something but he wasn't here for all of that. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "If you say so...I just think your younger sister and your missing younger brother would definitely beg to differ. Please don't be shocked. I know this is probably a lot for you to take in. In fact I haven't even revealed your existence to your younger sister yet. I think she may take this a bit differently than you. I have to take in consideration Mr. Tibbers reaction as well." Akhtar knew he would have to tell Seraphina everything about the young girl before she perhaps wanted to even meet her.
Akhtar sighed. He knew he faced a potential altercation but he was able to take care of himself. He was definitely not intimidated by Seraphina. He was actually rather amused by her. She was compensating for something. In his time in the city Akhtar had long learned to read people better since being in the city and he knew he just dropped a major bomb on the young girl. She didn't appear to be fit to care for a young child especially if the stories he heard were to be of any indication.
He wondered what her response would be? Would he have to chase after her? He was sure she would call him nuts. That was expected but he didn't know what else. Would she be willing to even consider taking in Annie? Akhtar didn't mind the girl but he was certain that she needed to be around someone who could properly train her to maintain and control her gifts. Akhtar looked at her and relaxed a bit in his seat.

As suspicious as this guy was Seraphina wasn't completely opposed to his presence. He was oddly amusing in his own way. He was just that nice mix of seriousness and boldness that she couldn't help but find him somewhat interesting. Even if he might turn out to be an enemy. Sera had to be careful now a days when it came to strangers. A little threat here or there would help keep any unknown enemies off her back. Though in this case it didn't seem to be all that helpful. Akhtar's reaction remained the same even after she hinted that she was more than prepared to kick his ass if he displeased her. He never rose to the bait, he just ignored it and moved on with the business he came here to do. Perhaps he underestimated her strength? There were plenty of humans and even supernaturals that had the tendency to do that with her. Most of those fools only saw some scrawny looking girl and lowered their guard. It wasn't that uncommon for her to deal with idiots like that. But Akhtar here didn't seem like the type. No, if he was like those fools he would have belittled her by now. He was confident, but not because he overestimated his abilities. Sera couldn't help but smile at the thought. She really did have a knack for running into interesting people. A fight with this guy could help her feel better, it had been a while since she had a good tussle. It would be something to look forward to if this encounter turned ugly.
Which it did, but not in the way she had suspected. Sera's amusement quickly turned into anger when the family topic came up. Family was a subject that she had absolutely hated discussing when she was a child, and it didn't get any better now a days. Akhtar was treading on dangerous grounds bringing it up to her now. If this man was trying to get any kind of information out of her about her family then he was going to be sorely disappointed. Sera outright refused to answer that question. Her lack of a response didn't bother the man. Just like before he ignored her anger and continued to talk. What he said next caught her off guard. “What?” did he seriously say what she thought he did? Siblings? She of all people had sibilings? The girl shook her head. No that couldn't be true.
“Bullshit.” The young girl hissed, glaring daggers into the man. “I don't know what kind of stupid game you are playing but I don't want any part of it.” she replied. “This is either some kind of stupid joke or maybe you have the wrong chick after all. I don't have a family. Never did. I have no sisters, no brothers, or a mother or father. You see, mommy and daddy couldn't be bothered to keep me around. They dropped me off at an orphanage only a few days after I was fucking born. They didn't even have the grace to walk in the building and leave me there, they just dropped me at the front door and left. I don't know who they are, where they are, or if they are still alive, and nor do I give a shit. But I do know this. If those jack asses couldn't be bothered to keep me they sure as hell wouldn't have any other kids. No one is that stupid, not even them. So you can take your theories about me and my so called family and shove right off before I make you shove it.”

Akhtar looked at the girl. He knew this encounter would turn out this way. He had to thank the stars he had prepared himself for this. He knew it was a major bomb to drop on anyone and he respected that. He had known what would be the outcome before it even happened. He looked at Sera gaze unchanging. He had dealt with worst. He couldn't even bother to get upset with her. He just smirked a bit. While he understood the blow and the frustration this was causing her he didn't know if he necessarily cared for how she was speaking to him. Did she honestly think he wanted to care for some orphan child who had lost what little family she thought she had?
Akhtar was more than patient and allowed her to vent her frustration until she hit a nerve. He was okay with her being upset but threatening him was NEVER a good idea. Gil tried that before. Havoc tried it too. Gil was still alive...Havoc wasn't. Akhtar felt he was far too kind and understand for the unnecessary threats. If he hadn't had a good idea or that there was a VERY strong possibility that they were related he wouldn't have wasted his time coming to this place of ALL places to try and speak to her. She honestly couldn't be that self-absorbed that she wasn't thinking of both parties involved.
He looked at the girl and he raised an eyebrow and looked at Seraphina. In his still cool and calm voice he actually chuckled and had to raise his eyebrow once more and said, "Make me drop it?" He couldn't even help but continue to chuckle in an almost condescending manner. He actually leaned back in the seat and placed his hands in his lap as his legs were crossed lazily. He looked at the girl unmoved. He just allowed her to vent. It was what was best. After the initial shock wore off he was sure she would be more willing to listen. Not really in the business of making scenes Akhtar simply said, "You know...I knoe you're upset so how about I leave you to think about what I just told you. Once you're done with your..." He pauses to think of his next word carefully and he raises his eyebrow as a sign of a smirk, "tantrum, then reach out to me." With that a business card dropped on the table in front of Sera. With that he said, "I hope to hear from you soon...Don't take too long to come around. I would hate for Jesse and John over at PIDA to get wind of your whereabouts. We can either be friends or enemies. I prefer we remain friends." He then disappeared not even worrying if anyone saw him or not...

It didn't take too long for this conversation to turn sour. Even by Sera's standards things had turn ugly fast. It was rare for the young woman to get this upset over anything. Seraphina was a bit more violent than the average girl but she wasn't quick to anger. Life was almost like a game to her, there wasn't much to get angry about. She rarely let her anger control her like this. But the route this conversation had taken, along with the crap she had to deal with with authorities awhile ago had left her in a really bad mood. An angry Sera was a dangerous one. She wasn't joking this time around when she threatened the man. She was dead serious. Who the hell did he think he was? Did he think he could just make outrageous claims and expect her to believe them? There was no way that what he was saying was true. Sera didn't have a family, she never had and never would. There was no way that she had any siblings. Even if she did how the hell would anyone know? If this wasn't some kind of sick joke then it had to be a mistake. For all she or anyone else knew all Solari looked a like. She did enough research to find out that her kind all shared similar eye colours, ranging from various shades of yellow, orange, and red like her own eyes. But there was a possibility that there was more common traits than just their eye colour. The only way to know for sure would be to find another solaris, and that was something that Sera couldn't do.
She knew she wasn't the only solaris in the world, but she certainly felt like it. Could this be her chance to meet another of her kind? She had always wanted to find someone else like her, but she didn't want to find one this way. From some bastard that she just met, making stupid claims and pissing her off. As tempting as the idea of meeting another solaris was she didn't trust this guy enough to even entertain the idea of going along with his bullshit. The man did little to help smooth the situation over. The man named Akhtar seemed to think her anger was funny, he even went as far as to call it a tantrum. “Man, you wouldn't want to see me when I throw a real tantrum.” she growled back. Sera was mad, but not mad enough to lose full control. It took a lot of will power for her to not punch him in the face right then and there. He was lucky for the time being, but he was testing her nerves, especially with what he said next.
When Akhtar mentioned leaking info to the PIDA she was so pissed she didn't notice the heat rising off of her. Hell she didn't even know when she stood up and slammed her hands down against the table. It took a moment for her to regain control of herself. The heat radiating off her body died down, though her gaze held the fire within her. “Go ahead and tell them then. I am not afraid of those freaks masquerading as cops, or you for that matter. Its going to take a lot more than pathetic threats or stupid lies to make me side with anyone. Let alone make friends with jerk offs. You won't be finding any friends her Akhy.” Before she could say more the man vanished. Sera didn't even look surprised when the man poofed in front of her. With a frustrated sigh the girl pulled out cash to pay for her drinks, leaving a little extra as a tip and put it next to her empty beer bottle when she noticed the business card. Right, that jerk left that there before he left. She was half tempted to just leave it there, but picked it up anyway and headed out the door.
Seraphina took a few steps away from the entrance of the bar to look at the business card in her hand. It was a pretty fancy even for a business card. “Akhtar Zuelma huh?” she read the name out loud. So it was a real name after all, judging from the card the bastard was some kind of rich jag off. What did some rich bastard want to mess around with a thieving pyro like her? “I don't know what the hell you want from me, but you fucked with the wrong girl.” Seraphina watched as flames engulfed the business card in her hand, leaving nothing more than ashes in its wake. Sera dusted off the ashes from her hands and looked up at the night sky, thinking back on the conversation she just had back in the bar. “Guess I got no choice. I am going to have to leave town after all.” She was a wanted woman, and now thanks to this Zuelma guy she wouldn't have anywhere to hide. She didn't know this man, but somehow he knew her, and new well enough who was looking for her. She tried hide her fears back there but even if he fell for it that wouldn't stop him from carrying out his threats.
Sera was as good as screwed and she knew it. Sera sighed as she started the trek back to her current hideout. It was time to make some plans and get the hell out of New Orlands. But not before she took care of some things. She might not have kept the card but she could remember enough of it to do a quick search on the guy who gave it to her. Like it or not she would have to deal with Mr. Zuelma eventually. He knew too much about her for her to risk not dealing with him. She had to take care of that man first, she could only hope that didn't mean killing him to do so.

Anyone who knew Akhtar would have found his behavior strange. They knew he simply never reacted in that manner unless he was forced to go that route and it seems that with Sera he was forced to react that way. He hadn't actually disappeared. He was very much so in the bar and found himself to be one hundred percent correct. Sera was one of those, "I've been on my own my entire life" teens. He didn't have anything against her. She made it this far in life on her own and that is a good thing but she was far from mature. Her reaction to everything proved this. She was throwing a temper tantrum like a child. He was amused as he watched her. She lashed out at people when things were going her way and that simply was not how an adult behaved. He would have to have a talk with her about that. IT wasn't becoming of a lady. Perhaps that was part of why she was having such a problem with PIDA.
Akhtar followed her out of the bar and listened as she bemoaned to herself about having to actually leave New Orlands. She honestly took his threats seriously. He had to give her a silent applause for the added effect of setting his card ablaze until nothing remained but embers of it but it still didn't move him. Akhtar continued to follow her as she let off her steam and she pretty much spoke into the night sky not knowing he was still there. He decided to appear before her but not in his normal form. He appeared almost ghost like. He was glowing gold and his entire body had gold fog like clouds floating around it. He was covered with the cloak once more. It trailed behind him billowing in the unseen ghostly winds. He spoke, "You really must work on your language. You're so enraged that you're not even trying to make sense of the situation." While she was walking he was casually floating along side her as if he were to walking.
Shaking his head he said, "No I am not a ghost...I just cast a spell on myself to give me this appearance. Well actually I am not even here. I guess it almost my astral form so to speak? It is a bit of advanced magic but not extremely advanced. Why would you care about that though? No you are only worried about getting out of New Orlands right? Isn't that what you said? Why are you running? What are you running from? Perhaps you could find a good support system if you allowed people in to help you. You think because you've been alone all of your life there is no one you could trust right? I'm sure you think this is some big practical joke but ask yourself...Why would someone like me...come to someone like you for help. There is nothing you can offer me. I hate to sound so callous and pretentious but those are the facts. You have nothing to offer me but you do have something to offer to your sister. You think your flames frighten me? Well they don't..."
Within mere seconds Akhtar had gone from his ghostly hue to a burning blue flame that seemingly exploded and took the shape of the large mythical phoenix. His inner phoenix cried out with it's majestic song into the night sky only able to be heard by other supernaturals. The bright burning flames would surely pique Sera's interest. As a Solaris she was certain to know that the blue flames burned the hottest. Perhaps in some crazy way this would gain Akhtar some trust from her. He returned to his other form just as quickly saying, "I've dealt with worst. I have come face to face more times with death than I would care to count. You think you're the only one with vast power in this city? well just remember you aren't. There are very powerful people here." He stopped flying and just floated and looked at the girl waiting on her reaction. The one thing she had to notice was that not once did he ever raise his voice. He continued to speak to her in the most mellow tone possible. It wasn't that he couldn't because he has BUT he saw no reason to. He saw a rebellious child and he was trying to connect with them. Sometimes fighting fire with a different type of fire gave the best results.

Seraphina walked down the empty street as she thought over what she needed to do. There was a lot to prepare for the days to come and little time to make her next move. Sera knew what she wanted, she wanted to stay here in New Orlands, she wanted the PIDA off her damn back, and she wanted to get even with that Akhtar guy. But the solaris couldn't get everything she wanted. To get the PIDA off her case she would have to either take down the entire organization or go on the running. Since the girl had no clue where their secret base was, or what kind of manpower they held that left the fighting back option impossible. She had to go into hiding, which was exactly what she did for little over a month. Tonight she was trying to make a comeback to see if it was possible for her to return to her previous life. She should have known better than that. All it took was one night to blow her cover. That bastard was sure to rat her out now and when he did she wouldn't be safe. It was time to leave, and fast. But that was easier said than done. Sera didn't have enough money to help her travel far and fast enough to get away yet. Her financial reserves were running low, even though she had given up her apartment and lived in an abandoned building during her hiding phase she was running out of money to keep going. She needed to go back to work to get some money again. Unfortunately she didn't have the time to plan her next heist. First she needed a target to focus on, and needed to learn their habits so she could find the perfect time to pick their place clean. All of that took time to do and time she didn't have.
Maybe I can hit two birds with one stone? the girl thought. Sera did want to get back at Akhtar for pissing her off and getting the PIDA back on her tail, and she needed money, so why not rob him? Having a target already did help to shave off some time in her thieving operation. The guy was perfect, the fool was probably one of those rich fuckers with money to waste. Hell, if anything he owed her for making her life more difficult than it already was. It might even get him to leave her alone for good this time. It wouldn't really scare him but it was a kinder fate than making him the first person she had to kill. Criminal or not, Seraphina was not a murderer. She had come close to becoming one in the past but she never killed anyone before, and she was not willing to start now. This plan would give her a bit of satisfaction and financial security before she hit the road. All she had to do now was figure out where he lived or go directly to one of his businesses to take what she needed. Maybe things were finally starting to work out in her favor tonight. She already had a bit of a plan forming in her head, once she got back home she could lay it all out and start putting it to action.
"You really must work on your language. You're so enraged that you're not even trying to make sense of the situation."
The sound of a familiar voice pulled the girl out of her thoughts. She nearly jumped when she heard it. Sera turned around to see Akhtar standing beside her, or at least what looked like Akhtar. The hooded figure didn't look quite as solid as he had before at the bar. Whatever he did to himself made him more see through, hell she wouldn't be surprised if she could put her hand through him. She had to hand it to him, he was smart enough to make himself intangible. This way she couldn't punch in the face, which she was very tempted to do right now. The girl fixed him with another glare. “I can say whatever the fuck I feel like and there is nothing you can do about it. If you don't like it than you can just fuck off.” she replied. Seraphina turned away from the man and started walking again, this time heading off in a different direction. There was no way in hell that she was going to risk going back to her hideout now that this guy was following her. He was sure to follow her even if he disappeared from her sight now.
Which he didn't. She had to hand it to him, this guy was one persistent bastard. He might be an asshole, but he was an asshole who was dedicated to what he wanted. Just what did he want from her anyway? She didn't care to find out, but she was sure he was going to make her find out anyway. “I'm not dumb, I know you ain't no fucking ghost.” she spat back. “Even a ghost knows when to give it a fucking rest. They at least have the good grace to leave me the fuck alone.” Sera kept walking forward as the guy tried to explain the current state that he was in. The girl just rolled her eyes as the guy spoke. “You're right, I don't care.” she replied. Sera could already sense that Akhtar was not completely human back at the bar, just like how he knew that she wasn't human either. All he was doing now was showing off. Sera couldn't care less about his stupid magic tricks. Was this some kind of pathetic ploy to scare her? Well it wasn't working. Seraphina wasn't some poor helpless chick, she might not be able to hit him right now, but if things came down to a fight she had enough power to come out of it alive at least. No amount of magic tricks were going to take her down.
The man turned the conversation around to her plans to leave the city. Sera couldn't help but laugh at his words. Really, was he going to try and pull the 'what are you so afraid of' card with her? “Gee Mr. Fancy pants I don't know why someone like me would need to fricken skip town. Maybe its because I have the self proclaimed supernatural police up my butt over something blown way out of proportion? But I am sure someone as awesome and powerful wouldn't know a thing or two about that. Tell me Akhtar, how many times have you stuck your neck out and put your own life at risk to save other people, only to have those people look at you in fear? Or have something bad happen when you were only trying to save someone's life, then have authorities try to hunt you down like you are a fucking monster? I doubt you dealt with crap like that before. Hell I bet when you were growing up if you ever did anything wrong you had mommy and daddy there to help bail you out till you were well off on your own to bail yourself out. Maybe if you were in my shoes you wouldn't even need to think of leaving, but not everyone is as fortunate as you.”
The girl laughed again when Akhtar mentioned seeking help from others. “Help? Does it look like I got anyone to turn to for help? The one friend I have had in a damn long while already skipped town because of this crap. If I brought anyone else into this mess they'd just get into trouble too. I am not bringing anyone else into my mess. I will deal with it myself, and I will either succeed or fail by myself. End of story.” Sera wasn't exactly the lone wolf type. She did like people, and she did like making friends. Yet she was alone, she always had been. As a kid she had been on her own, and now as a teenager not much had changed. That was just her life and she had learned how to deal with it. Who was this guy to tell her how she should live her life? He probably never got labelled as the town freak before in his life. Even if he had, he still had a family to go back to for support. He wouldn't need to feel alone, he knew what he was and he knew where he belonged. But Sera didn't, even now she didn't fully understand what she was. She could a name to her race but she was ignorant about just what she was still.
“Trust is earned, not given blindly buddy.” Sera replied when he mentioned what he was here for. “You already know that I am in a bit of trouble so it shouldn't be too hard to understand why I might be a little suspicious of a total stranger that knows a little too much about me coming up and making claims...about what? Having a little sister? You have got to be shitting me. There is no way that I have a little sister. If this isn't your idea of a sick joke you have to be mistaken. Tell me something Akhtar, how much do you know about Solaris? Do you even know what they look like? There are some physical traits that all my kind share, even I don't know how much traits I might share with my kind. I've never seen another Solaris in my life to know. For all I know they all look exactly like me. That would mean that kid you have isn't related to me at all. You wouldn't know, hell how sure are you that she even have siblings? Did she tell you? Did her parents? Maybe you should do a bit more research before you walk up to people and claim you found a lost relative of theirs.”
“Even if she is my sister what do you want me to do about it? Does it look like I am in a position to take care of a little squirt? I don't have the place, finances, or knowledge to be taking care of some kid. Do you really expect me of all people to be able to raise a kid? The only thing I got going for me unlike the bastards that spawned me is I have enough brains to know I would never make a good parent, so I will never have kids of my own. If you dumped her on me you will be making a big mistake, and guess who will suffer for it? It's not going to be me, or you, its going to be that kid. If you care at all for that kid then you won't shove her on me. You will either take care of her yourself or give her to someone who can. Give her to anyone but me.”
Akhtar was still not done showing off it seemed. Soon after Seraphina spoke the man transformed himself into a blue flaming bird. Seraphina instinctively took a step back when the man started to transform but quickly stood her ground and chuckled. “You are just full of surprised ain't cha?” the girl mused. When the creature spoke again Sera rolled her eyes at him. Seriously, was he going down that road now? “I told you before I am not an idiot. Of course I know that there are plenty of weirdos like us here. I live in this god damn city remember? I have fought both humans and sups before. You aren't the first powerful idiot to try and intimidate me and you sure as hell ain't gonna be the last. Scare tactics aren't going to work for either of us so lets stop playing this stupid game. Its pretty obvious that you aren't going to get off my ass unless I admit defeat, and its pretty obvious that I am not going to just roll over like a good little girl for you. This is how things are gonna go.”
Seraphina reached into her pocket to pull out a pack of cigarettes. The girl casually pulled one of the cigs out, placed it between her lips and touched the tip of the cig with her finger to light it. She took a long drag of the thing before she spoke again. “I'll give you thirty minutes to make your next move. You can do anything you want, you can try to convince me to go along with your crap, leave me the hell alone, or even try to take me with you by force if you want. Do whatever you think is the best course of action to get what you want...besides intimidation because we both know that won't work. Give me your best shot and I will give you mine. But if you fail to do so within the time limit then you will buzz off and leave me the hell alone, and I will do the same to you.” The girl moved to go lean against a nearby building, taking another drag of her cancer stick as she waited for a response. “Deal?”

Akhtar allowed the girl to continue to release her steam. He actually felt bad for her. WHile he wasn't orphaned or anything like that the pair did share some things in common. She was right about one thing, "mommy and daddy" were always there. He looked at her a bit solemnly and said, "You're right. My mother and father were always there but you wouldn't understand. Imagine being a royal...a prince and throngs of people constantly in your face. There were always guards around. I was never able to have a normal childhood. I was never able to go and venture out on my own. I was always being watched...Even now in this city I am followed. I am watched and guarded. The life of a royal. People a lot of times think we must have it so great but sometimes it is just like having a parent-less home. I have to be honest and say my most trusted medjai is more of a father figure than my own father. I often wonder what it would be like if I had grown up a normal child."
He felt pangs of guilt as he listened to her. She truly did have it bad. She was just as confused as any mortal who teen was trying to find herself. He gave her a look of sympathy and said, "Look I know I don't know much about the solaris race but I can assure you that this girl is your sister. You all are so much more alike than you would ever know. She is well on her way to be you in seven more years. I know this is a lot for you...trust me I do but honestly Seraphina you have to have blind trust. " He looked behind himself and had grown tired of standing. The brick wall they were standing next to then let out a low rumble as a low wall emerged. Akhtar motioned to Sera as if saying 'have a seat."
He sat down still in his ghost like form and continued speaking, "You have to understand, I am not asking you to be a parent to her. I am asking you to be an older sister. Nothing more nothing less. She is so much like you with the exception that she hides her temper behind sweetness. She is a young girl and I know she needs help controlling her powers. She uses her powers for all of the wrong things. I think it is safe to tell you that your parents gave her and your younger brother up as well. They couldn't have been the best people to be honest but she has fallen into the wrong has far too many of a time and I am just trying to end that cycle. The first step in healing for all of you all would be having the proper sense of family."
Akhtar had to admit things could be going in the totally opposite direction but they were actually going pretty well by his standards. After all he was used to his stores being destroyed when people first met for the first time. He chuckled as Sera tried to give him an ultimatum but he decided to play along with her "demands" and said, "Fine..." He knew he had the ultimate offer that he was sure she wouldn't decline. He smirked and said, "Well first let's just start with me saying this. It seems that you could really use a helping hand."
Akhtar shifted his weight on the stone wall to become a bit more comfortable. He said to her, "Like I was saying...I think you could really use a helping hand and I am that helping hand you need. You see sometimes blind trust is all you have and right now this is one of those moments. You have nothing that I want from you and even after all that has transpired I am still willing to help you." He studied her for a moment but continued, "What would you say if I told you I could get the PIDA off of your back forever? I can pretty much give you a one hundred percent guarantee that I could get Jesse and John to leave you alone. As I have mentioned before, they ARE my very good friends. You know you talked about us super wealthy assholes, is what you could me right?, but you know I can always call in and ask a favor for a friend. It wouldn't be the first time I called the pair asking for a favor. However we have to be friends first...Friends help friends right? "
He looked at her wondering how she would respond. He crossed his legs in a professional manner and leaned against the wall and placed his hands on his lap and said, "The only thing I ask for you is rather small..I think it would be a very good compromise actually. I want you to meet your little sister. Spend some time with her. I think you will become just as smitten with her as everyone has." Akhtar continued not knowing how she would take the rest of his plan. "So the next part will put some money in your pocket. I would like to offer you a job at my women's boutique. I have been looking for someone to run the store. It has become quite taxing to run both and deal with all of my personal engagements. I also would like to offer you a place to stay. my home is so large you and I would never see one another. I have a full two levels upstairs and I have the east and west wings and the main area. I also have a full finished basement that is pretty much an apartment. It has three large bedrooms and a full master suite which could probably put half of your old apartment in master suite alone. You would have full use of your own private entrance and you could even set up your own security code. You can save up money and if you want to stay you're more than welcomed to but you could also leave and have plenty of money saved up and start your life elsewhere PIDA free. I would still keep that end of the bargain of course...So what say you? I know this is a lot and again I swear on the world and my magic that I wouldn't try anything to hurt you. Just a new friend helping a new friend."

Sera had to admit it was good letting out a bit of steam right now. The girl had been wound too tightly as of late. Being cooped up all day, constantly being paranoid of the stuck up secret agents chasing after her butt, and dealing with it all on her own put her on edge. Dealing with this guy tonight when all she wanted to do was relax for once was just the icing on the cake. So she let him have it. What was he going to do? The guy seemed to know enough about her already that there wasn't much that she had left to hide. She wasn't afraid of admitting she was an orphan. The man could hardly send her back to the place she had been raised in, that place had long since been shut down. It didn't exist anymore, the building had crumbled down, and the ghosts of her past down with it. She didn't care what he thought about her living on her own, she didn't need his pity, or his judgement, neither did she want it. Revealing that much about herself made the man feel inclined to tell her a little bit about himself, what he said surprised her.
“Seriously?” The girl looked surprised at first but started to laugh. “You're a prince...I didn't know royality still existed in good ol' us of a. Then again, you don't seem to be from around here.” A prince was the last thing she would have expected. Then again who would? The rich existed of course, and there were plenty of families that were born into wealth, but they weren't considered nobility, not officially anyway. She would have called bullshit on that if it hadn't been such an outrageous story all on its own. It was just too crazy to lie about, he would have to be a real shitty liar or downright crazy to expect her to fall for that. Akhtar didn't strike her as any of that so maybe it was true. “I don't have to go bowing down to you and start calling you your majesty or any of that bullshit do I?” she teased. Sera was starting to feel a little better now that she blew off some steam. The cigarette helped too. Smoking always helped her calm down, the only thing better than that was punching someone. Too bad she couldn't do that tonight.
The conversation shifted once more to the hypothetical sister that the 'prince' claimed she had. The man assured her that he wasn't making a mistake with this one. He even had the gull to say that the little tyke was well on her way to becoming like her in a few years. “If that's the case then you got your hands full.” the girl teased. “The last thing anyone wants is another me around. That kid will be crazy, reckless, trouble magnet. You'd be lucky if she listens to a damn thing you say. The only good thing you can look forward to is you won't have to worry about her getting with any boys. All the cute guys will be too afraid to get near her. That or they are likely to piss her off.” Sera tried to brush it all off as a joke but a part of her was starting to worry about this guys claims. All her life Sera had been sure that she had no relatives. At the start she wanted to know about the family that left her, she even entertained the idea that one day the people that left her would come back and take her away. But the world wasn't like that. They wouldn't come for her. So she tried not to think about it. Her parents didn't want her so they wouldn't come looking for her, and she couldn't have any other kids if they didn't even want her. But was that really the case? She didn't know anything about the people that abandoned her, how could she say for sure that they weren't dumb enough to make the same mistakes again?
Sera stood there silently mulling it over when Akhtar conjured up some 'seats' and offered her a spot. The girl looked them over, not even the least bit surprised at the man's little magic tricks. The guy had to be some kind of magician or wizard from the way his powers worked. Sera put her cigarette out before taking the seat offered up to her. What was the harm in sitting next to the guy? She had said earlier that she was going to give him a chance to do what he wanted to get her on his side, and he was deciding to go about it the civil way. The least she could do was try to do the same. So she took her seat and tried to listen to the man for a change. It was still a lot for her to take in. She was still unsure what to really think about this whole sister business. “Parent or sister, you are still asking an awful lot from someone that doesn't know what any of that means.” she replied. “Hell, I don't know how much I can teach this kid of yours how to control her powers. It took me so long to figure out how to control mine, just so I wouldn't accidentally burn anyone alive and that was on my own. I don't know how to transfer that knowledge to someone else.” Was she really equipped to do any of this? Did she even want to do it? Sera had always been scared at the idea of having kids of her own in the future. It was normal for girls even at a young age to dream about things like getting married and having a family of their own. But the idea had scared her. One didn't know how to be a parent without learning how to from her parents, which she didn't have. She had never met them, the only lesson they taught her at all was to toss kids aside. Would she do the same? Even if this was her sister she could hardly trust herself to be any better than her parents were. Judging from what Akhtar said that kid needed someone who could look after her. Sera wasn't that person and could never be that person.
“I don't think I am the right person to come to for this. Even if you are right and she somehow is my sister, I am not in the best position to help her out.” Sister or not whether the man was right on that account or not would not change her situation. She was still a criminal. She was a thief, and was on the run for something much worse. Even if she didn't have to adopt the kid she could hardly be in it's life while on the run. As if geared to her thoughts Akhtar gave her an interesting proposal. Sera listened to what the man had to say. “Are you serious about that? You can get that stuck up british dude and his puppy dog off my back?” Sera couldn't remember their names that well. The second name he mentioned sounded familiar. She had seen John's name on the badge he had shown her, but the name Jesse didn't sound familiar. If those two were the guys he was talking about he would be able to tell who she was referring to by her names for them. If they were his friends maybe he could really get them off her back for good. It was a tempting offer, but it didn't stop there.
Sera laughed when the man said he would offer her a job at a woman's store. She couldn't help it, the idea was pretty damn funny. “Now I know you must be messing with me. Do I look like the kinda chick you would let run a clothing store for ladies?” she chuckled. Sera could hardly sell anyone merchandise when she didn't even dress like much of a lady. She had little interest in women's fashion, they weren't practical enough for her and she doubted she'd look good all dressed up even if she wanted to. Then again, how much did she have to know about fashion to run a clothing store? “I guess if its not too hard I can make it work though....maybe.” The last offer was almost as strange as the job offer. He wanted her to live in his house with him? Now that was something special. It was more tempting than she would have liked to admit. Living inside a mansion was a lot more tempting than the cramped and dirty abandoned building she was currently staying in. It could be some kind of trap though. Was there more of a catch to this than meeting her so called sister?
“I might just take you up on that offer, but I have a condition of my own to add. I can go and see this kid if you want, but you can't tell her who I am.” she replied. “I still don't believe this whole family business. I need to see for myself if this kid really is some long lost relative of mine. If I see her and I still don't believe you we can call the deal off. I'll go back to where I came from and live my own life, and you can live yours. But if I acknowledge her we can figure out what to do about that later. That will probably take some time anyway....deal?”

Akhtar couldn't help but laugh to himself. This was the typical direction most of his first encounters took. He didn't know what it was that caused so many things to go in this direction but by the end of the first conversation people were in love with him. Not like they want to date him in love but they wouldn't mind being his friends for life in love. He knew things could only go up with Sera after all...they had already reached rock bottom. He knew what it was like for people who were having a hard time. He had after all dealt with Gill and the likes of him for the longest so he was used to it.
Akhtar chuckled a bit when she made the comment about him being a prince. It was the reaction he expected. People tend to do that especially here where royalty was never an actual thing. The thought of nobility being apart of American culture was a hard thing to fathom. He smiled politely and said, "Actually no...I mean notice the accent. So no the U.S.A. does not have any form of nobility unless you consider high ranking government officials as nobility or their equivalents. I am actually from Zahirah. Well that is my kingdom. It extends from what you all consider to Morocco all the way to Saudi Arbia and it's neighboring countries. I am geographically from Egypt. That is where the seat of the kingdom is so I guess you would say Alexandria is where our capital is. That is where the main palace is and many of my brothers and sisters palaces are. I of course still live within the main palace. And to answer your question no you do not have to bow to me and most definitely do not call me your majesty. To the mortal government I am the son of an Egyptian diplomat.I want to keep that story up. "
Akhtar sighed as she continued to down or doubt herself. While she may not come out and say it, it was obvious to Akhtar that she had a bit of a low self-esteem problem. He was certain working in Luna would help that as well. "Oh stop beating up on yourself. When I say she is going to be just like you I mean your fearlessness, your sass, your fight. Which are actually all good things. Just transfer that over into some self-confidence and you're unstoppable. The fact that you trained yourself to control your powers is proof enough that you would be able to help her. Perhaps in some way you all would be able to help one another. "
He listened as she voiced her concerns about running the store. He waved his hand lazily and said, "Trust me it is your drive that is allowing me to offer you this job. I think you would be a good fit and you would be able to run the store with little problems. Of course you would have to be trained on how to order and do inventory but I think you would be a welcomed breath of fresh air. All of the girls and guys that work at both of my stores are your age or a little older and trust me...they can't stand dealing with some of the snobs that come in. Of course most of the people are very polite but then you have those customers who are the worst and seem to come from the deepest depths of hell with how horrible their attitudes are. THOSE are the people you would be there to deal with. You would be able to bring them down a couple of notches plus the pay is very good and as store manager you would be salary." Akhtar hoped this would boost her spirits. He wanted her to be completely comfortable with everything he was saying.
When Sera gave her last condition to Akhtar's offer he decided to give her a final counter offer. He was sure she would like it and this would gain him her trust. "Actually Seraphina I think I can do you one better. Just to show you I am completely transparent and that you can trust me how about this. You will meet her, she will not know who you are. If you feel as if she isn't your sister then you can still remain at the mansion AND keep your job at my store. It is no point in you losing all of that. I think you will be a great asset to my company. I think this will be a win win for both of us. What do you think? "

Akhtar was a lot richer than she had imagined. Then again, she had assumed that he was just another rich bastard, she had no idea that he was really a prince. The thought wouldn't have even crossed her mind if he hadn't come right out and said it. From the sounds of it royality had even more wealth than the usual rich people that Sera stole from. Palaces did not come cheap, places like that were even bigger than mansions. If each sibling had their own palace then the family had to be stinking rich. Maybe this whole sister thing would work out in her favor after all? Even if she couldn't be bothered to make any real friendship with this guy it wouldn't be too hard to con him into taking care of her, all she had to do was play the part and she could profit from this encounter. But Sera wasn't the kind of girl that could do such a thing. Seraphina might be a no good thief but she wasn't a liar, and didn't like using manipulation to get her way. If she was going to help out this kid and the prince guy she was going to do it out of the kindness of her heart. If she couldn't manage that then she didn't deserve the help.
As crazy as it was she was more than willing to throw the offer away if it was impossible so Sera thought it over carefully and voiced her doubts on the matter. At first she was joking around, but soon enough she spoke honestly. Could she do it? Could she really help someone else learn how to be a solaris? She barely knew what the hell it meant to be a solaris so how could she possibly teach someone else the ropes on this? Akhtar did have a point though, Sera's own determination had brought her this far, perhaps it could help her out in teaching someone else as well. “Flattery will get you no where your highness...but I suppose you have a point. I will by no means be the best teacher but I can try. Its not like you have much of a choice, unless there is a secret society of solari hiding in the city that I don't know about I am the only person you got. It's not much but its something. At least this kid will have someone to help guide her. That's a lot more than I ever got.” The sibling part of this was still a lot to swallow, but if she thought of it in a more student teacher relationship it made the idea of meeting the kid a lot easier. It didn't really matter if this kid was family. It was hard for Sera to turn down the chance to meet another of her kind, and from the sounds of it this kid needed help. Sera couldn't ignore someone in need. She had helped save countless strangers in the past so why stop now?
The teaching portion sounded a little doable, but the running a shop thing didn't sound as easy at first. Seraphina had plenty of bad experiences working a real job like normal people. She was the kind of girl who liked to do her own thing when she wanted to, and didn't take getting bossed around too well. She had been fired a lot in the past, and more than half of those incidents had ended up in a major fight with her higher ups, or at least ended up with her causing a scene and destroying things. But the way Akhtar described it maybe this job wouldn't be as bad. In this case she wouldn't be the one being bossed around, she would be the boss this time around. She could choose to come in when she wanted and work however long she wanted without all the hassle of having the man behind her back. It could be worth a shot. What was the worse that could happen?
“I never ran a store before, but if it ain't too hard I guess I can give it a shot.” she replied. “At least I know what to do with annoying customers. If there is one thing I do know, its how to deal with jerks.” she flashed him a wick grin as she spoke. No one would really have a problem if she literally threw a few assholes out the store every once in awhile, at least it would help liven the place up a bit if she did. All in all this deal was too good for her to pass over. There was still the chance that this was all some kind of trap, but Sera had little to lose and plenty to gain as it was. If this was a trap she would make sure that the man paid for it later. Some how some way she would find a way to escape if she needed to. It wasn't the first time she took a gamble with her life, and it sure as hell wouldn't be the last. There was only one thing that needed to be addressed, sealing the deal. The way Sera saw it all of this this hinged on whether or not the kid that Akhtar was talking about was her sister or not. There was a good chance it wasn't. The kid might look like her, or even act like her, but that didn't mean that she really was her sister. Sera didn't want to get trapped into caring for someone under false pretences. So she told him that she didn't want the kid to know what she might be to it, she even went as far as to say that everything he offered up in the exchange could be given up in the event she didn't believe that the kid was her sibling.
It only seemed fair to Sera. Akhtar had only came to her because he believed that she was that kid's older sister. If he was wrong about her everything that he would have done for Sera would go to waste. She couldn't let that happen, especially if the little girl's real older sister was still out there somewhere. The real sibling deserved to have this offer more than she did. As desperate as Sera was she wasn't about to rob someone else in need just to save her ass. Akhtar didn't see it that way. While he agreed to keep Sera's identity a secret he refused to take anything away from her even if she didn't believe that the kid was her sister. “It wouldn 't be too fair to you if I didn't put that on the table. For all you know I am only taking advantage of this situation. But suit yourself, we have a deal.” She was about to hold he hand out so they could shake on it when she remembered the whole transparency thing. Right, kind of hard to shake the hands of someone who wasn't exactly solid. Brushing that awkwardness aside Sera stood up and stretched. “All right, now that that's over we might as well go to your place to see this kid....though I bet she is a sleep right now. Good little boys and girls are usually in bed by now. That meet up might need to wait till tomorrow. In the mean time you can tell me a little more about this kid you found. I want to know who she is and how you found her.”
