He was falling...
Falling through the stars, and the skies, and the heavens. His golden eyes gazed up at the beautiful stars and the endless night of space. With a grunt he broke the atmosphere of Earth and rushed toward the ground, slamming into his body with mesmerizing force, enough force to shake the area around him. He gasped as sweet air rushed into his lungs and his opened his eyes wide. He was laying on his back in the middle of what appeared to be a park. He slowly sat up and rubbed the back of his head absently.
Where am I? he thought as he stood shakily to his feet. He stepped forward and crumpled back in a heap onto the ground, vomiting and coughing uncontrollably. He tried to speak and he realized he couldn't, his throat felt as if someone had poured molten lava down it, and his entire body ached.
"F-f-f-f-ath--err...." he choked out as he laid his head in the cool grass, feeling all of his thoughts and past history come rushing into his brain. He screamed and reached both of his hands up to his head. Blood poured from his nose and mouth as he continued to scream. After what felt like a millennium, the pain subsided and Aidan laid in the grass sobbing. His eyes tightly shut and his hands balled into fists at the side of his head. Shaking uncontrollably he lowered his hands and opened his bright golden eyes.
He knew why he was here again. He had wanted to be human, nothing had changed, he hadn't been cast out. He had merely asked so he could experience things as they did. The emotions: sadness, anger, love, rage, happiness, and grief. Of the 2000 years he'd been on the Earth, he had never once felt pain as he had just now. And although the sensation was unbelievably horrific, it was one he'd appreciated.
This is how the feel, when wounded? Aidan thinks as he slowly crawls across the grass in the direction of something. A hole in the ground, as he reached it, the muddy soil slid out from under him and he fell into it.
He was falling again...
With a jolt Aidan awoke to nothing but blackness. Years of training had taught him not to panic in the darkness, although it was so complete here, he could almost feel it hugging up against him, caressing him. He was also locked away in some tight space, he realized as he tried to move and bumped into something velvety and hard. He pushed against whatever was on top of him, and it didn't budge.
Not good... the former angel thinks as he sets his elbows and his feet and pushes as hard as he can roaring with pain as he felt tendons popping in his elbows. The thing shifted and something came rushing in. Something grainy.
Dirt.
He had been buried alive.
Or had he been alive when they put his body in the ground. Much had changed since he had become a human, and he had adjusted quite well. Although, he still wasn't a normal human, he retained most of his superior strength, speed, and agility. As well as the ability to summon his angelic blade for combat. No not much has changed....just emotions, and the fact that I am now mortal. It's hard to believe that after all the battles that I've fought in, I can now be killed. Aidan thinks as he claws into the dirt and begins to sift through it. He pushed forward and felt that it was now wet. It was, or had been raining recently, he pushed forward with all the might he could, feeling the soil enter his mouth, ears, and nose. He closed his eyes to stop it from covering his eyes as he dug forward. His fingers touched water and he could feel it falling. He was almost out. He continued to struggle and kick as his arm broke free of the soil and extended up into the air.
The rain feels incredible... he thought as his other arms breaks through and finally his head pulls free of the dirt and he swims through it into the night, gasping for air, and trying to rub the dirt from his face as he collapsed into a nearby puddle. He was shivering, it was extremely cold outside, and the rain wasn't helping at all. He glanced down at the clothes he was wearing and realized he'd been buried in nothing but a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt. No shoes...or fancy suit? Aidan thinks as he turns his head and looks at the cross that marked where he'd been buried.
Here Lies a Man of Whom Little is Known
"Nice heading too..." Aidan said as he laughed a little. It hurt his lungs to laugh, but it somehow made him feel a little bit better about his situation. He rolled over into the mud on his back and gazed up at the sky, letting the rain pour down on him and wash away the last of the mud that was on him.
I've got to find a way to get out of here. If I don't I'll catch hypothermia and freeze to death. He'd seen countless other soldiers succumb to the effects of hypothermia, although he'd never had it himself. He didn't have to worry about it then, he'd been immortal and immune to disease. He was now mortal and at risk to disease and other dangerous diseases.
He struggled to his feet and crossed his arms tightly, rubbing his biceps to try and warm them up. Being cold is awful! It never bothered me before. Aidan thinks as he stumbles through the tombstones his feet splashing through the puddles and his toes sinking into the mud.

It want long before the man felt a... Femanine sweater draped over his shoulders. A sudden overhead shield from the rain cam next. When the man looked, there she was. A young blonde girl with big green eyes. A faint smile rested against her lips as she looked down at him. Not bothered by the fact that he had crawled from the ground. Even was buried alive. She truly had seen worse. Like the dead bodies at the night club fiasco recently. The young witch crouched down and began to help the man up, "Easy does it..." her voice was soft and gentle. More than happy to help him.
She moved into his line of vision, standing right in front of him. Her hands softly brushed dirt from his face as her lips parted to speak, once more, "That was a nasty spill you had... Can you remember your name?" she asked genuinely. A smile reached her face. Her head tipped to the side as she then extended her indeed finger and pressed it to his heart. In that moment, his body began to warm up. She was willing to use some of her magic. It was obvious from his fall last night, he was not human at all.
Yes. She saw his falling last night. Not because she chose to. But her star gazing eyes picked up a falling 'star'. It was too cold to investigate in the night. But the next day. And boy, was it strange attending a small funeral. She was in the cemetery anyways. At least she could be there for when the man woke up. Offer him a friendly hand of kindness.

Aidan's eyes looked up as he felt the sweater wrap around his shoulders. His face was pale from the cold and his lips were beginning to turn blue. His hands gripped the sweater as he pulled it tighter around him. It took him several seconds to realize that the rain was no longer falling on him. His golden eyes looked up and met her striking green eyes.
"Thank you..."Aidan struggled out as the woman helped him to his feet. When she stepped in front of him, he noticed that her hair was blonde at the moment, and that she was also about a head shorter than he was. Nevertheless, she brushed the dirt from his face and he savored the touch, which was gentle and warming at the same time. When she spoke, he took note of her voice, which was soft and calming.
"My name is Aidan and until last night, I was an angel. The angel that once protected this city." Aidan said as she pressed her index finger against his chest. He was about to ask what she was doing, when his body suddenly began to warm up. The feeling was exhilarating and he wondered if steam was coming from his ears. He watched her hand with admiration until she pulled it away. He looked at her and smiled, although he was still soaking wet, he wasn't cold anymore, and for that he was thankful.
"That's a pretty neat trick you have there. I'm going to assume your a witch?" Aidan asked her as he began to walk toward the gate that was the exit to the graveyard, towards the church. At least it's a place to stay for the night. It's too cold to stay out here in this kind of weather. Aidan thinks as he leads her along, he was grateful to the woman, she obviously knew quite a bit about him. Also, she saw me fall last night....Standard humans, don't have the eyesight to see me in that state.
"What's your name, and I believe I owe you something for saving my life." Aidan said as they approached the looming church.

The girl smiled at him as she walked with him, "A witch, I am..." she curiously looked at him with a worried expression across her pale face, "It doesn't bother you, does it?" she hoped not. It would be upsetting to make a potential new friend, only to have him not like her much because of that aspect about her. She kicked her boot against the ground. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she walked with him into the church. She closed her umbrella and looked about, "I haven't been in one of these since my mother died..."
Her green eyes gazed back up at the attractive fallen one. She politely smiled and gave him the vibe that she was ok, that he didn't need to worry about her. It was a long time ago, and though it still hurt, she was more ok with it than she was a while ago. She took a seat inside of a pew and smiled softly at him, "I owe you my name..." she licked her lips before speaking again, "My name is Blake." she grinned and then looked on towards the crucifix on the wall behind the alter.
"You owe me nothing... I'm just a nice person... But I can offer you shelter until you find a legit place to sleep... Food in your stomach.. And a warm bed..." she smiled a genuine smile. Yes. Blake was offering him her extra room and even was opening up her home. She only hoped he would take it, not turn it down. But it was his choice. She sat and waited patiently for his response to her. Humming in the mean time. She had wondered if he knew her boyfriend... If he even apple to the guardian angels....

Aidan pulled his wet t-shirt off and hung it over the side of one of the pews to dry. Although, he was all warmed up, wearing wet clothes would get him cold again pretty quick, especially considering how things were outside. He glanced up at the woman who had saved him and smiled.
"Sorry for doing this in front of you, but..I'm going to find a place to change. I'm going to pull the rest of these clothes off...the thing is I know this church, I've been here before, and I have fresh clothes stashed under one of these pews..." Aidan said to Blake as he heads off to one of the nearby pews, and drops to his knees, pulling out a box. He realized that this box contained all the earthly items he owned. He pulled out a dry pair of faded jeans and a shirt. He would walk to the back of the church where the doors were, so that he was hidden from view. Although, he tried to be modest, the numerous scars that covered his body were visible when he pulled off his wet shirt. The ugly scars on his shoulder blades where his wings once were, the slash marks on his back from the countless tortures he endured from centuries of war, and a stab wound on the left side of his stomach. Being an angel didn't make him a perfect creature, these scars helped define the past he'd lived, 2000 years worth of fighting and trying to find the goodness in mankind.
And yet...all I ever saw was the ugliest things that could be imagined...cruelty beyond measure... Aidan thinks as he pulls off his wet jeans and pulls on the dry pair, before pulling on the shirt and heading back into the sitting area.
"Thank you for waiting...I appreciate your offer of shelter and food..and I accept..." Aidan said as his golden eyes gleaming brightly. The woman was attractive, he noted, which was odd because his mind normally never went to these kind of thoughts. He took a seat beside Blake and looked towards the front of the church. He hadn't been in here in awhile, but it'd been one of the places he'd stayed when he'd been the guardian of the city. My oath still stands...I will protect this city and those who live here.. he thinks with a determined look.
"The fact that your a witch doesn't bother me in the slightest. I've met many witches in my travels..some were good and others weren't." Aidan said as he looked over at her and smiled warmly. It was amazing how much better being warm and having clean clothes felt. "I've been on Earth for well over 2000 years now, and I've never felt half as many emotions as I have tonight, until then I guarded others and fought in wars of men, trying to make sure that the good always prevailed...I still believe in what I did originally..."

The blonde female sat as she waited on his changing into dryer clothes. She lightly hummed to herself and closed her eyes as memories came flooding back to her about her mother, even her grandmother and grandfather. Then it hit her, she had been distant from her farther, sister, and aunts. Not that she gave a care about her stepmother. The woman tried to change things to her liking and a little too often. It was one of the main reasons Blake wanted to move out. Plus, she wanted her freedom. Then he sat back down beside her after dressing. She smiled at him and patted his hand; looking back ahead, "No worries. I'm patient... Sometimes." she chuckled then returned her gaze to the fallen creature, "I'm glad that you accepted my offer. I'd hate to see you not warm and hungry."
She listened intently as he spoke. 2,000 years? He certainly did have a lot of years over her. But maybe that could be an advantage to her side, as far as her former lover was concerned. He knew so much more than she did. Not to mention, she was wanting to know more about the world. Also, as he spoke, she too made the same observation - he was attractive as well. Her cheeks flushed red. Frustrated, she his her face. This could pose problems. She was already dealing with a secret crush on a friend, plus she just met this man. She was also in a relationship. Once she felt the heat disappear from her pale face, she sighed and thought to herself that she was jumping the gun too quickly. Finding an attraction to someone's physical form was normal. She didn't know his mind, not his personality.
She smiled and patted his hand, "I'm glad you won't have a problem with me... Cause I practice in my apartment. I don't really have any rules... Help yourself to anything, really." she then smiled and thought about what else she needed to cover, "All that needs to be covered really, is getting your clothes when you are ready." She chuckled softly and bit her lip as she waited on his response.

Aidan nodded to Blake and looked back over his shoulder at the small box that he'd pulled from underneath the pew. That's pretty much about all I own, with the exception of my guitar... Aidan thinks as he tries to wonder where he'd last left his guitar.
"I don't own much...that box is pretty much it. I had a guitar, but it's lost now. When you've lived as long as I have, you tend to travel lightly...if you stay in one place for too long people get suspicious...never aging makes them go jealous and envious...unfortunately it's nothing I can change..." Aidan said as he looked up to the front of the church, at the altar and the crucifix stationed there. He dimly wondered how many people had been to that altar, praying for their needs, to the One who could change everything for them.
"I guess staying here would be our best bet while we wait on this rain to let up some. Why don't you tell me about yourself? It's a wonderful way to kill time...and I must say I'm honestly intrigued..." Aidan said as he glanced at Blake and smiled, his golden eyes twinkling.

((Hope you guys don't mind me crashing the party XP))
A shiver ran down the tall woman's back as she walked aimlessly through the graveyard. Why she was here, who knew. She just was. Which was basically the typical story for everything Aderyn related. She just did, she just went - she never really thought things over anymore. Thinking was... Painful at times. Not in the physical sense, but more in the emotional kind. Aderyn was the only one who knew of her past and what she had been through not too long ago. That was what weighed her down like an anchor to a ship. Heavy and unmoving. Shaking it off with a sigh as she shrugged her leather coat a little higher up the nape of her neck, Ryn kept her head down as she wandered around. Her light eyes skimmed over the worn grave markers, taking in the different names and dates. Such little tidbits of information like these had always intrigued the formative pegasus. Just because some parts of her had changed - quite drastically, mind you - didn't mean that everything had become different. There were still little parts to her that remained from before the change, even if they were buried deep down beneath everything else. But they were still there, and that had to count for something... Right?
Something a few yards away caught the brunette's attention, causing her to pause where she was and to look in its general direction. Ryn had to squint her eyes: rain was beginning to come pouring down. She felt her brow furrow a little as she realized it was an opened grave, and that there was what appeared to be quite the mess surrounding the gaping hole in the earth. There was mud, footprints, and other unidentifiable markings all around it. What, did a little scuffle break out or something? Was someone attempting to be a grave robber? Unable to help herself as she chuckled quietly at her thoughts, the darkened creature began to make her way closer, her usually coffee-brown hair turned black as pitch by the rain as she walked towards the grave. She stopped once she came to a spot just a couple feet away from the disaster zone. Her eyes trailed around, amusement glinting in their sea-glass depths as she took it all in. Something big must've happened. Whatever did, it surely wasn't done quietly or carefully. Aderyn looked at the ground for a moment longer, wondering what happened and feeling her interest in the whole situation begin to grow. She was going to have to find out what happened, now. She wasn't just going to let this go. The young woman's eyes suddenly flicked up, shining bright through the darkness of the rain and shadows as they landed on the church close by, just outside the general premises of the cemetery. She figured that if anything had happened, there would probably be someone in there that would know about it. It's not like she was an investigator or anything - she was simply curious.
As she began to trudge her way through the slippery mud, Aderyn noticed that there were footprints in the soggy ground that led to the holy building straight from the torn up grave. Perfect. Feeling a little smirk begin to appear on her lips, she kept her strides long and firm as she neared the church. Once she reached the large doors that belonged to the building, she hesitated a little, biting her lip as she looked up at the intimidating building. Sure, she hadn't exactly gone off executing mass murders during her absence or anything, but it wasn't like she was really welcome in these types of places anymore... Shrugging it off, the tall brunette opened the door and stepped in, water dripping off her leather-covered shoulders and long strands of hair. Ryn glanced around for a brief moment, her pale orbs landing on the different elements of the church for the shortest of seconds. It had been a while since she was last in one. She had forgotten just how beautiful they really were. The girl shook her head a little though as she focused her attention on more "important" things. She wasn't a pure little goody-good anymore. She had bigger and better things to focus on. Such as the two people near some pews just a little ways away from her... Aderyn simply stood back against the door and watched for a moment, picking up on their conversation and realizing that they were only acquaintances. Good. That would make it easier to butt in.
"Do either of you have any clue about what happened back there in the graveyard?" she asked as she jabbed her thumb back over her shoulder in the general direction of the torn up grave. Sure, it was a stupid question and all, and she hadn't even taken the time to excuse herself (not like she would've, anyways), but as long as it involved her in their conversation she would be fine with it. And it could help her figure out just what exactly had happened.

A bit of pink reached her cheeks. She had been listening to him speak, but the mere fact that she intrigued him - even using that word, directing it towards her. It made her face warm and a tad bit pink. Only few people on her life had found her interesting. Her boyfriend was one of them. Her eyes glanced up at the male, parting her pale lips to speak, "Well... I was born in Ireland and grew up there, to a point." She said softly and smiled, "I have a younger sister, who is just trying to find her way in life. My dad lives with my two crazy aunts..." She then trailed off, "And with a stepmother I don't even like..." She inhaled heavily before looking away, momentarily. She wanted to gather her thoughts when it came to talking to him. It was strange, really. Like she had to catch her breath, when talking to him. Her green eyes shined in the candle light. Giving a slight golden look to her pale eyes, "I also have a boyfriend... I'm a student..."
She was about to continue speaking until she heard the presence of a third person inside the church. She scooted a bit closer to Aidan and looked over her shoulder. Not that leaving, noe would matter. She and Aidan came to a mutual decision about waiting on the rain to stop. Or at least slow down before they both decided to hop in her vehicle and head home. Her eyes glanced over her shoulder to the figure as she began to speak.
Blake's pale eyes went from the woman, back to her friend. She didn't know if he wanted to speak his business to a complete stranger. Not that Blake wasn't a stranger. But an odd vibe came from this girl. The blonde didn't know if she could trust her. Her magic was enough to protect him and herself if they needed it, right? ((Sorry for the wait. ): ))

Aidan listened as the woman beside him spoke. He'd known many individuals in his long life, and all of them still managed to fascinate him in one way or another. He had always been fascinated by others and their stories. He wasn't disappointed that the woman had a boyfriend, in fact he was happy for her. As he always was at the prospect of others discovering that love is strongest force on the planet. He smiled at this thought, dropping his head and letting his now drying brown hair fall down over his face.
"Things aren't always as we want them to be....but your fate is something that can only be changed by you. If you don't like something..only you have the power to change that..." the former angel said as he turned and locked his golden eyes onto hers. He wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything, just merely passing on wisdom. His narrowed as he heard the door open, and the faint sound of footsteps. Someone's coming...
Aidan stood to his feet as he heard the voice of the newcomer. He didn't turn around he merely stood there, he didn't think that they were in danger. He would have acted in an instant if he'd thought so. Instead, he merely smiled and turned to look at the newcomer, his golden eyes shining brightly in the dimly lit cathedral.
"A falling star..." he said as he continued staring at her. The woman would more than likely understand what he'd said. Everyone knew about angels. There were many new faces in the town he considered himself the guardian of. He didn't know them all, but he had the idea that not all of them were good. This one he wasn't so sure of, but he silently hoped that she wasn't here to cause trouble. Most beings wouldn't start a fight without being provoked. Especially not on holy ground.
