Caliko had begun to wonder if her grandmother was ever going to take notice of the young woman's pregnancy. It had been several months since the rape and now she was slowly becoming much more plump. A small smile came across the young female's face as she slowly and carefully walked down the steps of her apartment. Things had been pretty quiet ever since she'd moved in. The only thing that had been a slight disturbance had been the utter shock that had come to her as the grape vine informed the young woman of her good friend's loss of his woman. It had come suddenly, yet at the same time Cali couldn't say she was all to surprised. She'd warned him for month's not to mess up his chance with a wonderful woman such as Akee and unfortunately it appeared he hadn't taken her advice and in the end had lost someone held truly dear.
Since then she hadn't seen much of him, however a mutual pal Vycer, had been keeping tabs on him seeing as surprisingly they had grown pretty close. Vyc she knew wasn't the most social of people and Guil well he definitely didn't take to the male species very well. Holding her stomach carefully as she hollered for a cab outside the apartment, her cheeks slowly puffing out as many ignored her, finally one pulled up and she was able to give them directions to a local pub, whom on nights like this, held an open mic night. Even though she hadn't been able to do many concerts because of the recent pregnancy she had been able to get small places to pay her a small amount to play and sing small numbers here and there. Which happily was enough to get her rent paid and food paid for as well.
When the taxi finally pulled up in front of the small pub, Cali slowly and carefully removed her small form from the back and paid the driver, "Thank you..." she said quietly. Stumbling into the pub Cali looked around trying to find the manager whom had called her earlier in the day. It was about to six and soon she would be able to take the small stage which she found near the left hand corner of the quaint place.
"Ah you must be our evening entertainment... well it appears you weren't kidding when you said you were getting up there, how close are you to your due date hun?" Turning around to find a pleasant older gentlemen behind her.
Allowing a small smile to place itself upon her face Cali nodded carefully, "Yes, I am sure. My names Caliko and i'm around five months along now." She then pointed at the stage, "Is that the stage sir?"
Ushering her towards the stage in question the man nodded, "Yes, that is correct. You are on here in about fifteen minutes so if you want to get ready we have a guitar in the back for you sweetie." Nodding carefully and holding herself carefully as she walked up the stages steps Cali slowly went to the back to get ready.
