“Thank you so much Dr. Kadic...” A pathetic voice blubbered as a gorgeous female victim clutched to the Wurm’s refined suit, gripping tightly and not wanting to let him go. The midnight shadows of the alley were like demonic wings encasing the poor woman in Duscan’s clutches, who stood poised as the girl continued to feed the conniving Dr. Kadic his late night meal. He could feel the craters in his palm almost drool as they ravenously fed on the delicate woman’s soul, almost sucking her dry. Dusan continued to stand, frighteningly still as the woman continued to whimper into his chest, releasing all the pains of the night. The good doctor had had previous engagements with this virgin flower before, and he took advantage of the situation when he spotted her in the fancy party that had been hosted by one of his many connections. Her date had left her without a ride and Dusan had noticed all night of the man’s other sexual attentions. She had been his tool, and he had finished using her for the night. Dusan, the gentlemen, took the time to comfort her in this... dark time.
“Maria... get a hold of yourself.” His deadly Croatian baritone seemed to seize the depressed woman, who immediately removed herself from his hard chest and peered into his lifeless gray eyes with questionable fear.
“I-I’m sorry Dr. Kadic... I didn’t mean to be such a burden.” Dusan could see her energy expand as she continued to fall deeper into the abyss of depression. She couldn’t believe how much of an idiot she was, and Dusan's cold retort continued to feed her distress.
“Maria, you know men only treat you like trash if they ask you to a party.” Dusan gently emphasized each time he acknowledged her mistakes, which he immediately saw the results of the remark. He could feel himself slowly rejuvenating and he was almost completely satisfied... for a while.
“My dear,” He paused, staring deeply into her teary green eyes,“Meet me at my place tonight. I will be there soon, make yourself comfortable until I return.” He reached into his coat pocket and handed her his house key. He spoke to her like this was a routine, even orders for her to follow. “Be there. You need a place for the night, until have recovered from this ordeal.”He knew she would do nothing to anger Dr. Kadic, such as steal or disorganize his living quarters. Also, he had really no earthly possessions that he desperately cared about. His rural “mansion” outside the city was all for appearances for guests. Granted, he loved the high life, but the money was all that mattered. Besides, she was too distraught to even think about disappointing Dusan.
“Yes... Dr. Kadic.” Her tone was drawl, almost lifeless as she seemed to wobble to the street, a taxi prepared for her descent. She felt exhausted suddenly, like her entire existence had almost been swallowed up. She loved Dr. Kadic very much, he was a wonderful man but... she never seemed well enough to be around him. Why?
As she left, Dusan wiped his suit clean of any debris left behind by the damsel in distress. Exiting the dark alley, he rubbed his hand gently together as he felt the fibers of his gloves scratch at his cratered palms. He raised a hand and brushed his clean cut hair back, making sure every strand was perfectly placed. Today was a good night, as always. He had met enough women at these fashionable parties to have decent meals almost every night. The rich loved parties, it was their way of displaying dominance over the other folk. Dr. Kadic had no need for such monstrous displays. He knew he was better than them all, and they knew it as well. If Dr. Kadic was at your party, people wanted to get to know you. He was a single link in the long chain, and he enjoyed the popularity very much. At least, to a point.
The party was almost over in the busy loft at the El Captain, so Dusan would continue the night basking beneath the moon. He needed some time alone. To think about his plans. That thing in the basement of his home was dying out and he needed to find another source. He considered Maria, but she had too many friends, so her disappearance would definitely be alarming, and he knew she flaunted on him greatly, so he would obviously be a suspect. He needed to find someone, someone no one would miss. Preferably a woman, since they were more enjoyable when made helpless, and they were excellent specimens to watch when feeding. However, he would search later, for he was not in desperate need of a new emergency source. For now.
