James looked at Dusan. Why was he concentrating on his father? He didn't like talking about the man. He was the last person he wanted to ever talk to. Whenever he called his parents it was his mother he would end up talking to. Any conversations he had with his father normally ended in arguments. James found it rather weird that Dusan would ask if he knew of his father's past or if he knew his grandfather. He knew that some people didn't know their family but it was more common than not for one to know their grandparents. He knew not only his but also his great grandparents on both sides....His maternal great-grandfather had passed away only a few months earlier. He was old...really old...
James shrugged and said, "I know my paternal grandfather. He is nothing like my father. I think my father is a fanatic. I think he was so keen on being nothing like my grandfather that he went to the extreme. Look, my paternal grandfather was a bit...sexually free I guess you could say? He had a lot of children, he caused my grandmother a lot of heartache by constantly sleeping around. She stuck by him through it all though. She is still with him...I guess you could say different breeding...She doesn't believe in divorce and she just knew that she would have to deal with all the things that came with marrying him. He has calmed down in his old age but he still loves to have fun. I guess my father turned to church?" James only had good memories of his grandfather. He couldn't think of one time where he felt his grandfather was nothing else but joyous.
James couldn't help but laugh a serious laugh when Dusan asked if his father was only associating with him because of the children. He was the one who allowed his children to see their grandfather. He didn't care if the man ever spoke to him again. James almost cut Dusan off saying, "No I think there is some confusion here...I allow my children to see him. Not the other way around. I allow them to continue their relationship with them because they haven't done anything to my children. My children love them and I am not going to take that away from them!" A definite accent could be heard from James' mouth. When he was upset his Trinidadian accent tended to show more.
He was in control of his life, not his father! If he wanted to stop his parents from seeing his daughters he could! He allowed his parents to see his daughters...just because they were the grandparents didn't grant them any rights. They weren't entitled. How many children left an abusive childhood and never saw their parents again? He was being the bigger person. His father would always try and pretend as if he were the world's best father. Everything he did was to make James a better man...and because he was attracted to another male he had obviously failed. James couldn't take the comments from his father. His anger was getting the best of him. He was ready to punch something...

Exactly as expected... Dusan remarked nonchalantly to himself as he listened to his patient spill the beans on his grandfather’s rather sexually expansive lifestyle and this obviously explained James’ own patriarch for his extortionate behavior in the religious field, as James seemed to agree as well. Weak minds like his father never realize that they become just like those they wish not be. In his case, he chose religion as his remedy... Dusan continued to diagnose the situation in his enigmatic reasonings, loosing himself in thought. The Wurm always pondered the idea of his own biological adults for he had no memory of where he lived before this informal place. He recalled awakening in the dark corridors of Croatia, famished and almost near-death. It was probably the only moment in his life when he actually experienced any sentiment; it was however only for himself. Dusan then began his new life, undertaking the role of a young graduate with a created identity. The world of power came natural to Dr. Kadic and within years he climbed the ladder of popularity in his ‘homeland’ Croatia.
Many tried to overthrow his position; obviously none succeeded in such an impossible task. These feats, as well as his devised marriage to Kaia gained him more attention and soon Dr. Kadic was one of the most renowned psychologists in Europe. At times, the Wurm missed his familiar land however opportunities arose in New Orlands that he could not ignore, among other things.
When James began to grow more frustrated Dusan drew closer to the Detective again, his lifeless gray eyes gazing deep and serious. “Mr. King, do not be disturbed by your attractions to men, for it is out of your control. You must understand that the dreams you are having is your mind trying to help you cope with your denial. The reason why this stranger is an empty mask is because your bisexuality is not known to you because you will not accept it as you. These are not fantasies of being with another man; your mind is trying to heal you, inform you that you cannot avoid what is already inside you.” Dusan then paused a moment, clearing his throat before asking curiously. “Mr. King I must ask, have you had these thoughts before, possibly as a teen?”

James looked at Dusan and looked to the floor. He tried his best not to remember much of his teen years. After all...the only good to come from those years was his oldest daughter. He knew the answer to the question easily, "No...it wasn't until I got to Colombia and met Elian...it was him who made me start thinking differently. It was something about him that was...I don't know...different. He made me feel I don't know complete maybe? There was something about him. Maybe it was the shock of the divorce that had me willing to go there. I was drinking more than usual...I don't know what made me want to pursue anything with him. "
James looked down ashamed. He had never been so open with his feelings towards Elian. He had never really told anyone of his feelings period. It made him feel uneasy. His father constantly preaching verses of the bible to him made him this way. His father's constant downing of him made him all the more self conscious. He was a ball of nerves sitting there with Dr. Kadic. He couldn't help but smile at the same time though. Had Elian been there he would have been happy as he finally acknowledged him in public. That was the main source of their fights. He, James, didn't want to mention that he had a boyfriend. He constantly assured Elian that it wasn't that he was ashamed of him but more so along the lines of society not being so accepting as of yet. It never flew well with Elian. It wasn't as if James would be the only gay male in the police department. What was he so nervous about? Perhaps he didn't want people to think it was his being gay that actually caused the divorce?
((sorry...my muse is kinda...meh right now...post is probably a bit sucky))

Dusan detected Mr. King’s mixed emotions when regarding his partner and he tried to reassure his confidence, “Mr. King, I assure you that you are not alone in your feeling, for your experience is rather normal to your sexual confusion. Unfortunately, many people mistakenly define bisexual as, to put it colorfully, the ability to put your hand in someone’s pants and be satisfied with whatever you find; This is unmistakably false. Many bisexuals have not found the peace and freedom that comes with congruence of attraction, behavior and identity. In your case, being a man still means being a husband and father while anything else is deviant, such as attraction to the same sex. You were attracted to your wife however she did not quench the intimacy you craved which your boyfriend filled. It is certainly a difficult life Mr. King but your must understand that this is not shameful, this is who you are no matter who says what. You must finish what your dreams are really telling you; acceptance in yourself.” Listening Dusan still amazed himself with his excellent skills of deception. His baritone was professionally sincere as he consoled his patient however honestly Dusan wanted to exploit this defenseless ant.
Taking in a long breath, Dusan glanced at the grand timekeeper in the corner: five minutes left. With the little time left, the Wurm would now question wether or not this man would like to continue his sessions with Dr. Kadic. “Mr. King, we have a few minutes left but I would like to ask if you would consider returning for more talks like this? I feel that for a first sitting, it went swimmingly. However, if you feel this is not to your liking, I will keep my doors open nonetheless if you need a few moments to convey to me.” Even through lifeless eyes, Dusan expressed a handsomely charismatic demeanor as he spoke to his victim, his Croatian tongue slipping again as his addressed James. “I do hope Mr. King, you will return.”
ooc: its alright, your post was perfectly fine! If you want, we can continue this outside the office to help release some of the upfront psycho-analyzing? lol

James looked at Dusan. He was happy when the man said there were only a few more minutes remaining in their session. He didn't want to continue talking about his life. He didn't want to continue talking about Elian. He didn't want to do this any more for the day. He was drained. Perhaps it would have gone a bit better if he felt more comfortable around Dusan? He wasn't sure but there was something nagging him about the man that made him slightly uncomfortable. He didn't know what it was. Usually he would pay attention tot he people who surround him but today was different. Perhaps it was because he was able to get some of the stress off his chest?
He looked Dusan over and took in everything he saw. He remembered the man saying his hands were scarred and if they were to shake hands it would be rather painful. Maybe he had taken some medication right before their session and that was why he wasn't rubbing his hands a bit more. James shrugged it off. Maybe it was because he was European and he came from a little less expressive culture? Perhaps he felt he was being professional? They probably would loosen up around one another once they had more sessions? James had ever intention to continue.
Nodding at Dusan James said, "Yes I want to continue...It has really helped me a lot today. Having an outlet finally to express some of these emotions that have been inside me for so long. I...I....I never thought it would be at all possible but I am seeing it is. I can't really explain to you how much of a help this is. I am really trying to get my life in order now. "
((yeah we can do that...I don't know where they would be though LOL))

Dusan’s calming grin settled as he listened to James express his gratitude of this first session which obviously had helped Mr. King release some tension on sharing his inner feelings. Wonderful. Dr. Kadic was very pleased with the progress with his next victim and from the looks of things, this specimen would be returning to him for quite some time. A sexually confused Detective with paternal problems and has gone through a recent divorce: it seemed so perfect. “I am pleased that you will be returning Mr. King, I know that these meetings will help you greatly and I am greatly satisfied that I will be a part of it.” As he spoke he drew back from his patient and rose from his expensive leather seat and sauntered slowly to his cherry wood desk and lifted his gloved hand to a receptor on his desk. “Shirley... I am heading to lunch, please take any messages that come in.” And he was finished.
“Mr. King, if it does not disturb your schedule would you care to join me in a small sit-down at my home? I would enjoy the company and maybe we can dispel any uncomfortable feelings through some civilized conversation?” Dusan was very formal in his request for the Detective for he did not see any harm in his newest patient visiting his residence. “Don’t worry Mr. King, I offer an invitation to those new in my practice. The first session is always the most difficult on anyone so I would like to offer you a comfortable place to relax. If you so choose, you may invite your boyfriend.” Dusan added, heading to his coat rack and gathering his belongings to prepare his dismissal.
“I rarely have guests so I think it would be rather pleasing to have a little chat outside work.” This sort of outside relationship was usually viewed as unprofessional however Dusan had found that it helped him determine certain attributes that were not as obvious in the meeting.

James looked at Dusan with a bit of a questioning look. He wasn't sure on how he felt on going to lunch with his therapist. It would take some getting used to on his part. What was the harm though? They were just going to his home for lunch right? It couldn't be that bad. He decided to just go along with it. IT wouldn't hurt anyone for him to try and let his guard down a little bit. Everything would be okay as long as Dusan didn't try anything crazy. James was always on the defense. He had to be,he had been hurt so much in the past it was only natural.
James sighed and said, "Sure I guess that is fine...I took the rest of the afternoon off from work. I rarely have time to sit down and enjoy lunch so this will be a bit of a treat for us both I guess?" James chuckled weakly. He wasn't the best at keeping small talk with people he really didn't know Dusan and didn't know what the man was like. He was a bit awkward in that regard. What was he thinking agreeing to go to lunch with this man? Dusan seemed so cold and unwelcoming. Perhaps that was why the invitation to lunch seemed so strange to him? Dusan didn't seem to be the type to invite people out to lunch. He claimed that his scarred hands were the reason for no contact but even still his eyes were just so cold.
James didn't know what was going to happen at this lunch but maybe Dusan would open up to him? Always looking to expand his circle of friends. Perhaps Dusan would not only be a good therapist but also a friend he could confide in. Only time would tell...

“Excellent.” The psychologist’s fake grin shielded an indifference to the invited company; however Dusan needed to unfortunately converse with those outside his rich affluent circle; people would view him to be more ‘cultural’. Also, a detective definitely would be a welcome addition to Dr. Kadic’s list of connections however Dusan would have to put in some extra time to loosen Mr. King. He obviously took his job very seriously and Dusan knew their would be high wall to climb to persuade James to loosen a bit around the Wurm. An interesting challenge it would be.
“Shall we take my car or do you have a vehicle of your own?” Dusan offered, adjusting his gloves delicately as they were slightly crumpled from the doctor gripping his clothing off the hook. Rolling them steadily, a gnarled crack echoed from each joint which caused a painful rub. “Apologizes... I must loosen the bones a bit.” He retorted, questioning wether the brutal snaps had disturbed his guest. The craters in his palms were satisfied with their meal and would not require food for a while; at least until he reached home.
“Will ‘he’ be joining us as well?” Dusan was rather curious about James’ boyfriend and he wondered how the man would react being in someone’s home with his shame. Maybe Dusan would be able to observe the two when together, just to see how their foundation was holding up to such a “stressful” time.
ooc; bleh post... apologizes.

James looked to Dusan seemingly unmoved by the sounds of his cracking bones. When he asked if they should take Dusan's car or if he had one of his own he simply said, "I will follow you in my own car. I have this thing about being stranded so I always drive myself everywhere. No offense to you of course. It is just a habit I have built over the years." James had a fear that there was always a possibility that he could be put in danger if he didn't stay one hundred percent aware of his surroundings. This included driving his own vehicle.
James looked at Dusan questioningly for a moment when he brought up James' boyfriend. "Um...no...no he isn't coming. He is actually in Colombia right now. He will not be back for a couple of weeks. He is there with his parents. He doesn't know I am here seeing you either. I haven't told him yet. You know he would think it was him who has driven me to do this. I will break it to him when the time is right. I really want to focus on me getting myself together right now. Perhaps when he comes home we can have a session together? He is always pushing me to be more open with him..."
James wasn't really sure how this couples session would work. It may cause some hurt feelings and possibly a break up but if it would help him get rid of a lot of his stress he was more than willing to try.

“Ah, I see. Well then that is fine.” The psychologist would have to savor this secret couple session for another day; at least he could continue his observations with James, his main client in this rather boring drama. Although, James was a very interesting character for a Detective which was something that Dusan wanted to explore if he could exploit this interesting fact. For now, he was to muster a hospitable face and enjoy a simple chat with his new meal. His last visitor, Preston Creed had been terrified the entire ride home and the man later confessed that the homes of the rich made him extremely nervous since he believed that his sinister family was scouring the globe for him. Dr. Kadic could not pinpoint exactly why they would, but it seemed that they were interesting tidbits in his tale that could be explained if his family were considered the culprit.
“That would be wonderful Mr. King. I would be interested in meeting him.” Dusan then nodded in response to his guest and during the silence, he scanned his fine suit before confirming that he was finished preparing for his retirement home. His lifeless eyes returned to James and gripped the doorknob and raised his hand to guide his visitor out the door ahead of him. “Mr. King.” He said curtly, his awaiting stance heavily refined.

James stood from his chair and exited the office. He seemed to be a bit more relaxed already. Being out of the office gave him some air to breathe. He was able to take in some fresh air and relax. He didn't know why the office had that affect on him. He felt a bit drained and weak. Although he didn't want to admit it to Dusan he was ready to eat so he could get a bit of strength back up. He made a mental note to head to make sure he went to the gym tonight after he left work. He didn't have anyone to go home to so why not go to the gym?
Walking over to his brand new black on black Nissan Altima Coupe he unlocked the doors of his brand new baby and slid in the car. He wasn't sure what to expect from his lunch with Dusan. He said a silent prayer that it wasn't anything with blood coming out of it because it was so rare. He wasn't one to complain about a free meal in general but that didn't mean he would eat ANYTHING one placed in front of him. He had his limits. Growing up with parents and family from the Caribbean he had his own share of strange dishes. Perhaps that was where his desire to not eat everything came from.
Looking to the door waiting for Dusan to get in his own vehicle so James could follow him to his home. James silently wondered if Dusan lived in "Gentility EstateS." The estates were the most exclusive neighborhood in the entire city. The elite and extremely wealthy lived behind the large gates. Many craved to be behind the gates and live the life that many lived within the gates. James however had three friends who happened to live within the gates and while they were all wealthy they all worked very hard daily. He wasn't impressed by the wealth of many of the people. Some were easily entranced...he wasn't...

Dusan exited stoically behind his guest, trotting behind as they descended the steps to the exit where their modern chariots awaited. The Wurm scanned his victim as he exposed himself, allowing Dusan’s eyes to freely wander his interesting specimen. He continued to sense James’ uncertainties fluttering about like moths to a lamplight; hopefully this tension would release when they arrived at Dusan’s domain so that the good doctor would have someone else to feed on for the time being. As they left the stylish office building, Dr. Kadic retreated in the opposite direction of the busy street and stood beside his car. An Aston Martin DB9; a modernized Bond vehicle naturally. Dusan entered fluidly into the seat and listened happily to the fine leather moan underneath him. The sound always reminded him of feeding, for his protective gloves made this joyous sound whenever he adjusted his hands, preparing for a meal.
He inserted the key into the ignition and allowed the engine to burn before beginning his trek home. Before leaving, the psychologist made sure his newest ‘friend’ was following close behind.
---
Within a few minutes they reached the outskirts of the city, surprising far from Gentility Estates. However, the home itself was rather extraordinary considering the rather dull surroundings. It was as if a mansion from the Gentility had been plucked out and placed here. Dr. Kadic required solitude, for his rather strange lifestyle required such lonely spaces. Pulling up to the gate he entered his gate code and drove up to the entrance, parking his car. As he exited, he rubbed his hands together achingly, the craters in his palms acting up from lack of food. Dusan however glanced calmly behind him to see if James had made the trip.

James drove in pretty much silence. He allowed the deep guttural groans being released from his engine to fill his ears. He loved the sound of large engines as one would race and speed through traffic. He kept a close tail to Dusan. He was able to maneuver much faster than the average driver because of his background as a police officer. He drove never losing sight of his new therapist. They drove quite a while. James naturally assumed they would be going to Gentility Estates which housed the uber-rich and ultra chique. It also housed a few criminals and wannabes who thought they would be able to blend in with the ultra wealthy of New Orlands. James had gone into the gated community as a guest of several friends who live behind the "golden iron gates" and also as an officer to proceed over evictions and foreclosures back when he was a "beat cop."
He shook his head at his own amusing thoughts as he knew that three of his closest friends all lived there. They were truly wealthy though. One a royal, one a noble, and the other an heiress. He had worked as head of security for the heiress and because of her he became good friends with the Prince, who for him, was surprisingly down to Earth. He was nothing as expected. He did play his role when necessary but nothing like one would expect a Prince to be during normal conversation. The girl of noble blood was a duchess. She like the Prince was quite normal. It amazed him how some of the TRULY wealthy were down to Earth and others....not so much.
Pulling up to Dusan's home and stepping out of his car once it was safely parked and turned off. He let out a low whistle as he looked around. The home itself was large and looked beautiful. The area surrounding it was a bit bare but he wouldn't hold Dusan to it. Perhaps he had just moved here and didn't have a chance to have it landscaped yet? He turned to Dusand and said, "Very nice home you have here Dusan. Thank you again for inviting me here."

The Wurm sauntered prophetically towards James, anticipating the man’s compliment. The lifeless creature could not deny that it was a lovely place however the psychologist spent little time attaching himself to such materialistic things. All of this was for show, only meant to impress those easily influenced like the rich and ‘frumpy’ types. “Thank you. I greatly appreciate the compliment Mr. King and you are most welcome.” A minute grin spread across his leisured visage as a familiar scent fluttered across the landscape. It was food, glorious food that he could gorge upon to his heart’s content. This was the single redeeming quality to his life: freedom to feast when he pleased. However, this happiness would be soon short lived. It needed to be replaced with something more... fresh.
“Please, follow me.” He properly presented the door to his guest, walking a few feet to reach the entrance before taking the spiraling wood handle, twisting it slowly. He opened his vault, revealing a majestically quaint mansion. Littering the nearby halls were photos of Dusan, an enchanting lass at his side. His wife Kaia, glittered absolute beauty in every photo while the doctor maintained his lifeless expressions, created a rather peculiar dynamic in each picture; Vigorous light that encroached so close to the dark. Kaia had always been the spirited individual and she found great pleasure in Dusan, who did not judge her for her rather strange personality. Whatever she wanted to do, Dusan would silently support, observing close by like a hawk. Dusan carried not a single shred of care for Kaia in the way she believed, however he was extremely possessive of what he considered his.
As Dr. Kadic stood, he began to ponder what meal could be prepared this afternoon. Something painless but still stylish. However, he would if his guest had any input on the subject. “Anything in particular you would enjoy during lunch Mr. King?”

James looked at Dusan's home. The inside was just as nice as the outside. He looked at the pictures that lined the wall of the entry way. Turning to Dusan James said, "You have a very beautiful wife...No children?" Continuing into the home James almost felt as if he should remove his shoes because he didn't want to dirty the floors of the mansion. In all honesty when he pulled into the large driveway James expected an entire staff to be waiting beyond the front door. He expected them all to be lined up and waiting patiently on Dusan to return home and give them instructions.
Perhaps James had watched one too many television shows. That had to be the case because none of his wealthy friends had extremely large live in staff that took care of their every whim. Well...Akhtar may be the exception. He was a legit Prince so he didn't count. Okay Maybe Akhtar, Meena, and Aless all did but they didn't count. Many of the other wealthy individuals he knew may have had one or two full time live in employees. Those three however weren't afraid to clean up after themselves. They enjoyed working and perhaps that was one of the main reasons for them to be successful.
James was brought out of his own musings when Dusan asked him if he wanted anything in particular for lunch. James said,"Um...I'm not too difficult. It is really up to you. I can pretty much eat anything. I am rather hungry actually. What do you tend to eat? Something filling but not to heavy right? I do need to go to the gym once I finish with work actually."
