She opened the door to the night club and made her way through the crowd. The click of her black heels were muted due to the sound of the pulsing music and the chattering voices around her. The temperature in the room was definitely warmer than it had been outside and the red-haired women hoped that her hair would not curl up when it had taken her so much time to straiten it.
Aroura made her way to the bar and sat down at one of the stools. She leaned over to wave down a bartender, taking care not to expose herself. The black dress she had one was a low V-cut and though sexy, it was kind of trouble some to keep in check. She didn't usually wear things that were so revealing but tonight she through all her usual personal rules away. She even left her cross necklace at home and instead wore a string of pearls that accented her pale Irish skin and brought attention to her shoulder and neck area.
She finally caught the bartender's attention and he walked over to wear she sat in her stool. He gave her a quick once over with his hazel eyes and his face lit up with a sultry smile. " Well hello there beautiful. What can give you?" Aroura giggled in response. " A Miller Light would suit me just fine. " His eyes widened a little. " Did a women just ask me for a beer? I thought you guys were only into those girly drinks, like martinis or, I dunno, Smirnoff?" The women shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not immune to drinking that stuff, but where I'm from beer and whiskey were plentiful, so that's what I drank, and still enjoy drinking. It goes with out saying that not all the pretty women you see are the same. In fact..." she leaned in closer to the man, who she noticed to be tall and muscular, and if she was being honest with herself, incredibly handsome. "I enjoy being different from everyone else." She sat back on her stool, leaving the man, who she guessed to be around 25 years old, blinking and a slight blush in his cheeks. "Well then, I better be getting the lady her drink." She laughed melodically. " I sure would appreciate it." Her voice echoed her southern accent and the man walked off to get her beer.
Now alone, the red haired women looked around the room. Some people danced, some sat in booths and laughed with their friends. Other people, sat at the bar either to drink away their worries or were waiting to be hit on. She in particular just wanted to enjoy herself and have a couple of drinks, not really caring weather a man came to hit on her or not. The stools to her left and right were left empty so she was free to turn in her chair and people watch. Memories of her teens flooded her mind and she couldn't help but smile. Yet thinking of her past instantly made her think about Daniel. Her hand instinctively reached for her cross. She almost panicked for a minuted until she remembered she had left it at home. She felt kind of guilty about ditching it, like she had betrayed Daniel somehow. For a split second she considered going home; calling the night off and sitting in her apartment reading one of her books, or doing research on one of her side jobs she had accepted. No Aroura, stay. You owe it to yourself to have some fun. I has been so long since then. You shouldn't punish yourself. You are still a beautiful and young women. You should get out there while you still have so much time to live and find love! She didn't know where the voice was coming from but she listened anyway.
Aroura didn't quite know if she wanted to find love again, but she hadn't thought much about what she would do if she did. Letting out a long sigh, the women ran her hand through her unnaturally straight, auburn hair and straightened her black dress while she waited for the bar tender to return with her order.

Meena walked into the club and waved to the people who greeted her inside of the club. This was one of her promotional nights in the city. She made a lot of money throwing parties in the city. It was her calling. Even back in the Middle East where she hailed from a noble family she was known for throwing lavish and crazy parties. People would come from all over to attend. Her pull on the city was no different. She was happy to have found something to occupy her time until she could open up her hookah lounge. The city definitely needed one. Who better else to bring the Middle Eastern flair to the city than Meena? She had talked it over with her friend, Akhtar, who was a wizard as well as Prince. He had come to New Orlands and had launched two successful high end boutiques, one for women and one for men.
After mingling for a while around the club talking to people she made her way to the bar and ordered a vodka and cranberry with more cranberry than vodka. She was a social drinker. Needless to say she wasn't the type that liked the burn of alcohol going down her throat. As she thanked the bartender for her drink she looked to her left and noticed a woman sitting there by herself. She found it rather strange considering all of the hot men that were in there tonight. If she wanted to drink alone she should have gone to the Drunken Mule or whatever the name of the club was.
She tossed her long dark locks over her shoulder and took a sip of her drink and said to the woman next to her, "Habibati(My dear) why are you sitting here alone tonight when all of these men are in here and right for the picking." Meena turned and scanned the crowded dance floor. She definitely couldn't imagine why a pretty girl like her was sitting alone at the bar...drinking a beer of all things.

She noticed the dark haired woman when she walked to up to the bar to order her drink but she was a bit shocked that she was speaking to her, or at least she appeared to be. She assumed the woman was indeed talking to her and turned around to follow her gaze. The dark haired, and apparently Middle Eastern, woman was right. There were definitely a lot of very attractive men throughout the club and on the dance floor. Aroura shrugged and looked at the other woman from the corner of her eye, still watching the people as they danced with the beat of the music and others tried to yell to be heard over it as they called to their buddies. " Speak for yourself, Miss. I don't see you dancin' either." She smiled slightly in that one sided, fox-like way she had. She took a small sip of her beer and then after a moment of thought, shrugged. " To be honest I don't really know why I'm not dancin' like the rest of them. I guess I'm just...waiting for the right time, or the right song. I dunno, something."
The redhead took another sip of her beer before turning in her stool to actually face the women to her right. "Since we both aren't dancing, why don't we chat for a while? What brings you here on this fine night?"
{{ooc:Sorry it was so short. Didn't want her to go into another of her epic monologues but didnt know what else to put xD}}

Meena chuckled haughtily. She looked at the woman and said, "I don't have to dance...This is my event."She smiled and turned her attention back to the floor momentarily before giving her, her entire attention. She sat down on a stool and listened as the woman questions her. She looked over to her as she asked why she wasn't dancing and what bought her out on this "fine" night as she put it. The woman had a rather strange accent to her ears. She had never heard one like it before. She smiled and said, "Well I am a party promoter. I am here because this is one of my events I am throwing tonight. "
As she sat there listening to the music and still talking to the unknown woman she realized she didn't know her name. How could she hold a conversation without first knowing the persons name? The woman came off as a bit tough. She was feminine but it was something about her that Meena couldn't put her finger on. Was she a cop or something? She had an air about her that exudes authority. Meena could definitely see herself and the woman becoming friends because Meena was the same exact way. She was a rather harsh business woman and expected nothing but perfection. If she didn't get that it would be issues. She extended her hand to the woman and said, "Hi...I'm Meena, and you are? I figured it would be a bit awkward to talk with someone and not know their name. After all we're not trying to be one nigh stands right?" Meena laughed at her own joke. She hoped the other woman would find it just as funny.

Aroura smiled at the women, Meena, as she introduced herself. She couldn't help but laugh at the woman's comment about not being one night stands. In a way, the whole situation was ironic to her. " No we wouldn't want that." The redhead took Meena's outstretched hand and shook it firmly. The whole wet-fish thing was always awkward, and to her, it showed weakness. The southern woman was a strong believer in never letting yourself be thought of as weak, especially when meeting someone for the first time. "I'm Aroura, but you can call me Aro if you'd like. Friends tend to lean towards that name more."
Aroura let her blue eyes sweep around the room taking in all the lovely details that must have resulted from meticulous planning. " A party promoter huh?" Her already developed respect for the lady beside her rose higher upon being told this information. "I must say it is very well done." She looked back at the dark haired woman with a genuine smile. " You are very good at what you do, Meena."

Meena said to Aroura, "It's very nice to meet you Aro. You seem like a very intelligent woman. I'm hoping we can be fast friends." Meena noticed the quite firm handshake the woman gave her and knew she had to be some type of law enforcement person. She had found that here. Women tend to be a bit more tougher depending on their field. She could only say it was because their field was dominated by men and they had to either prove themselves constantly or they always had to keep their guard up. She wasn't sure.
Meena smiled as her new found potential friend complimented her. "Thank you...I try my best to do well with these parties. I am getting a bit tired of them if I must say so myself. I am really ready to go see what other ventures I can have here in the business world in the city yet. I'm not quite sure what I want to do yet but I know I will only do this a few more months to a year at most....I'm hoping it will not even take that long."As the pair continued to talk a large security guard walked up to Meena and whispered something in her ear over the loud music. Her face went stone and filled with rage for a brief moment. This was the business side of Meena getting PISSED. There was always that one a-hole who couldn't behave themselves. She stood saying, "Excuse me for a moment." She rushed to outside of the club with the security guard to take care of the brawling patrons.
After a good ten minutes passed Meena returned with a bright smile on her face as if nothing happened. She took her position back on the chair and looked to Aro and said, "So Aro...what do you do for a living? Are you from around here? Have any special man in your life?" Meena figured if they were going to get to know one another they should ask those basic questions. Sure they were in a club but who cares? No better time than the present to get to know your friends right?

***She hasn't met Isaac as of yet sooo.... yeah lol. Still my poor little lonely Aro with no social life lol***
Aroura smiled widely at Meena, agreeing with her when she said that she hoped they could become friends quickly. The stubborn redhead would never admit it, but was in desperate need of a friend. Co-workers aside, she had absolutely nobody. It was depressing. Here she was, a single woman in her mid-twenties with a steady job and money, and a decent figure--especially considering already having given birth to one child--with no friends. She should have an abundance of them with her socialite personality. She chalked it all up to how busy work made her. She blamed her current "lone-wolf" mentality on the fact that she stayed overtime to finish her reports or organizing or training; something along those lines. Also she used her multiple side jobs--that she accepted, mind you, as they were not mandatory-- as an excuse for her antisocial behavior.
Aroura listened intently as Meena explained her career and about her dreams of moving forward. She was impressed by how passionate she seemed about working in the business industry. The woman glowed with success and exuded ambition. It made the southern woman proud to see other woman proving to society that women as a populace were not just to be used as housemaids and to rear children.
She saw the security guard approach from the edge of her peripheral vision she tensed, already alert in case it was some super who held a grudge against the P.I.D.A. She relaxed her muscles when he leaned to whisper into the ear of her companion, though she was still curious as to why. Some guy probably had a lil' too much party juice. When she saw the expression on Meena's face, the corners of her lips quirked up into a smirk. I pity the cloud that dared rain on any parade of hers. She nodded politely when the dark haired woman excused herself to go handle whatever had disrupted her party, and finished off her beer.
Now alone, like she had been upon her arrival to the night club, she sat quietly with her thoughts after ordering a Strawberry Margarita, double shot. She was nearly finished with her drink when Meena came back, a smile on her face despite the unwelcome interruption. She sipped her drink while she waited for her new friend to get settled into her seat again. She had just put her glass down so she could settle into the conversation until she realized what the woman has just asked. Internally, Aroura had a momentary pause in thought, but her outward expression did not change. Her training and her self control made her good at this. She let Meena finish her string of questioning and then she replied smoothly and without hesitation;tossing in a casual shrug to be nonchalant . " I do government work. Organize files, track down and record things. Whatever they set me out to do pretty much." She took another sip of her drink smoothly, smiling again as she answered the next question. " No, I'm not originally from here. A jump over the river. Born and raised in Mississippi. Southerner through and through sweetheart." She was chuckling but her mood sobered when she heard her next question. She finished off the last of her pink beverage in a unladylike swallow. Her blue eyes flickered up to her friend then away again as she laughed half-heartedly."No, there isn't anyone. My husband....past away not to long before I came here. Angela, our daughter, wasn't much longer after him so its just me now." She reached up for the cross at her neck but found only the string of pearls.
Aroura let out a long sigh, dropping her hand into her lap, and then blinked away the pain at her memories. Putting on a sheepish smile, the redhead turned back to Meena and waved her hand as if shooing away the depressing memories. " But enough about silly ol' me, what about you Meena? I can tel you are from the Middle East, but where? What about your man?" She hoped the conversation wouldn't refocus on her and her somber memories or her specific job description, of which she was not aloud to speak of.

Meena smiled as Aro told a bit about herself. She looked at her and said, "Well..I am from the United Arab Emirates. I came here on the suggestion of a friend as I have already said. As far as men go...well there is a potential person. We are dating now. So I am hoping for something to really flourish. He isn't my normal type but there is something about him. I can't help but be attracted. I guess opposites truly do attract." Meeena smiled and blushed a bit as she spoke her budding romance with the gamer/PIDA agent. She was honestly confused by the whole thing herself but she had decided she would just enjoy the ride and worry later. Meena was truly enjoying her life in New Orlands. It was so different from back in the Emirates. She wasn't so closely watched and guarded.
Being from a noble family had its perks but it also had its downside. The downside was that she was always protected. She couldn't go out and hang with friends freely unless it was at their home and even then she was being watched by servicemen. She had learned to live with it but with this new freedom she was able to TRULY enjoy life. She was able to live life in the very moment and not stress over so much. As she sat there with Aro one of her favorite songs came on over the speakers in the club...
She stood from her chair and said loudly, "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS MUSIC!!! THIS IS NY FAVORITE SONG!!" She grabbed Aro's hand and pulled her up out of her chair attempting to lead her to the dance floor where they would be able to dance and enjoy themselves more.

**sorry for not posting, and also for the post to be so short. Just wanted to their friend ship rolling along and make it more fast paced and take out the long monologues lol**
Aroura listened with a smile, nodding where it was appropriate. That smile grew larger when her new friend talked about her current love affair. It was nice to see other people happy, she thought. Seeing people happy made her happy... most of the time anyway. Sometimes she couldn't help but envy those people when her own happiness had been wrenched from her feeble grasp . Yet she felt only genuine happiness for Meena.
The song changed over head and Meena exclaimed, obviously knowing the tune. Aroura couldn't help but laugh as the dark haired woman drug her from her stool to the dance floor. The redhead didn't usually dance. It wasn't that she couldn't its just that she kept that part of her off to the side. Only rarely did she ever get the nerve to get up and dance. She was quite the worker bee now, so she felt out of place on a dance floor.
Aroura looked at Meena for a moment, looked at her expression, and then let out a sigh. Ah, to heck with it. She had already broken over half of her normal routines. One more wouldn't make any difference. The woman let herself be led to the dance floor, abandoning her normal character and deciding to just go with the night; to revel in the moment with who she can already tell would become a good friend.

Meena beamed with joy as Aro let down her guard more. Now they could really have fun. Two guys walked up behind them and attempted to dance with them but Meena pushed them away. This was a girls only moment. She hated to send them away as they were hot BUT she also didn't want any distractions as they still got to know one another. The DJ was really doing what he got paid to do at that moment. He was mixing very good music. They would be dancing a while as long as he kept playing this great music!
Meena signaled to the bartender to bring them more drinks. As she was handed her drink Meena looked to Aro and said, "You know...I am having a bit of a get together in a while I think you should come...Get to know my group of friends here...I have only two "best friends" I guess you could say. One is a guy and the other a girl...She's a model...I think all of you will get along rather well though. So what do you say? Are you interested in coming to my soiree? Meena chuckled at the end of her question. It was so corny but she felt it sufficient.

Aroura could not hold back a laugh at the expression on the two handsome men's faces as Meena shewed them away. She regretted watching them leave, but at the same time was also relieved. It would be a bit anticlimactic to drug out here with the purpose to bond with her new friend if they were distracted by the inevitable flirting they would have undergone had they stayed.
The redhead smiled and danced along with the music. One song she was particularly fond of began playing over the speakers and she chuckled and shimmied along with the beat. Aro raised gave a quick thanks to the bartender when after he gave her the cool drink. She took a small sip of her beverage, and was about to take another but she paused, the glass halfway to her lips when Meena began to speak. The agent listened intently, her thoughts wary. She was happy to meet her middle eastern friend , but was she willing to go into a whole room full of strangers? Meena had said that her best friend's would be there. What would they think of the redheaded new girl with the strange accent? Especially the female Meena had plainly told her that she was a model. Aro was not an unappealing woman but she knew she was no model. She was apprehensive about this meeting, despite her friend's efforts to reassure her that everything would go fine. " I...I don't know..."
