For the 6th time today the wake-up alarm has sounded for Kye and for the 6th time today Kye has slammed it shut. Then of course he promptly curled back into his covers and laid his head to rest. Little did the Owner/CEO of Genecistron know; his employees where sick and tired of waking their own boss up for work. You see Kye’s bed isn’t at his home no that’s what normal hard working people do. They go home and sleep after work but, Kye isn’t normal or hardworking. For the sake of ‘efficacy’ in his words; which really meant laziness. Kyes bed and alarm where both at Genecistron. Unfortunately for his subordinates his alarm also happened to be hooked up to the loud speakers at work. So for the 6th time today which would make this billionth time this quarter, his alarm has grossly disturbed all the busy busy scientist and testers. Now one would ask how does a company with a CEO like that ever turn a profit? The answer is simple, luck and genius. Since Kye’s return to his company which he apparently started some time ago sales have actually doubled. So of course none his subordinates neither quit nor question his methods they loved their boss WHEN he was working. However that was the problem getting him to work. Every day since his return someone has had to go his room and bitch him out of bed. Today they were sick of it! They all understood damn well what to do. Kye needed to hire a personal assistant whether he liked it or not.

The young tester had drawn the short stick today. It would be his task to rouse Kye up from his bed for what they hoped would be the last time ever. He didn’t bother knocking he knew it would be fruitless. Like an exhausted mother the tester quickly stormed in and violently ripped the blankets sheets from Kye’s bed. The sudden force sent Kye spinning off his bed to meet the hard floor head on. This alarm proved to be very effective plus it lacked a snooze for him to abuse. Dazed and confused Kye struggled to his feet scratching his head. “Ok ok I’m up so tell me what’s on agenda today? Fission? Fusion? Black holes? Science in general?” The tester scoffed rolling his eyes he found it hard to take his boss seriously especially after hearing his vague ignorant questions. He tossed the sheets back at Kye as he answered allowing his annoyance show in his tone of voice. “No sir. We are short staffed today is a job fair.” Puzzled by his answer Kye tilted his head bit repeating him. “Job fair? We just hired a new theoretical physicist, 5 testers and like 3 engineers what else do we need?” The tester rolled his eyes they hired one tester which was himself, 4 engineers and 3 physicists a 2 months ago. “No sir you’re wrong.” The tester turned leaving Kye to himself quickly barking out the answer as he left. “We put out ads for a personal assistant so get dressed please and ya know…..look boss like for once.”Kye sat there on the floor still just as puzzled as he was before.“Assistant? For who?”
