This was starting to become a ritual almost. Lately, Rose had made it a habit to take the kids to the park at least twice a week just to be away from the house for a while. Plus, being outside was good, not that Rose never took the kids outside, because she did a couple hours a day if possible. The twins were growing fairly fast, well, faster than human children anyways. Of course, they only had a small amount of human blood in them, so it would make sense as to why they were growing so fast. So, as they grew, Rose thought it was important for them to get out and get exercise and all that fun stuff.
Today though, it was just Rose and Anna. Today was their play-date of sorts, while today was a play-date for Wey and Felkin. This would make the trip around the park easier, seeing as Rose only had to pay attention to Anna. It was good one on one time with her, while it was good one on one time with Wey and Felkin. Tomorrow, she and Wey, her now fiance, would switch the children off around the same time before having family time in the evening.
The word 'fiance' was still a bit strange to think about for Rose honestly. It made her feel all warm and tingly and stuff and made a silly grin pop onto her face. She looked at the ring on her hand briefly as she drove along to the park. It really was beautiful, and she adored how sentimental Wey had been when picking it out for her. The little silver rose bloomed, showing off the diamond that was embedded in it, the diamond which held the shadow in the center of it. The shadow would appear as a sort of flaw to anyone else, but it meant a great deal to Rose seeing it dancing around the gemstone. Wey had told her that the shadow was purposefully put within it so that he would always be with her where ever she went. Perhaps she was acting like a romanticized teenager, but she really didn't care. Rose was happy now that she was sure she and Wey would always be together, and happier now that their family was now firmly knotted together.
"Look Anna! Guess where we're at?" Rose asked of the little girl in the backseat. Anna gave a tiny, excited laugh as she bounced in her car-seat. "The park!" She squealed, her little red and green eyes darting out to the play-area where she had grown so use to playing in. "That's right!" Rose said with a little laugh of her own as she got out and swung around to the back car door. Quickly, she unbuckled the anxious little girl, who was eager in trying to help her mother with the task. Rose picked up her daughter and carefully placed her on the ground. "Now wait for Mama alright?" Rose told her quietly as grabbed her bag from the car and closed the door. She slung the bag across one shoulder and held onto Anna's hand. Rose smiled, still amazed at how little the girl was, and yet how big she had gotten in the past year alone. Anna was about the size of an average four year old girl, which was still honestly very little. But, considering Anna was just over two years old now, that was pretty big.
"What do you want to play on first hm?" Rose asked as the two began walking to the play area. "Umm...the swings!" Anna chimed, grinning widely and showing off her little dimple on her cheek. Rose smiled and laughed. "Ok, swings it is." She said as they made a beeline for the swings. Not too many kids were here at the moment, probably because it was a bit early. But by lunch the park would be filled with kids. Rose took Anna to a vacant swing at the very edge, to which the little girl was eager to hop on. To Rose's surprise, she actually managed to get on well by herself. "Can you please push me Mama?" Anna asked sweetly, flashing her irresistible little smile at her. God, when she really looked at Anna, she could see so much of Gil in her. She had a few of his features, that was for sure. The smile was one, as well as her one green colored eye. Ironically enough, it was the same shade of green Wey's eyes were, so no one would ever wonder about that. Though her eye coloring was a bit strange, as was Felkin's, seeing as one eye was green, the other was a crimson color. Genetics were so fucked up sometimes.
"Oh, alright. Only because you asked so nicely." Rose said with a little grin at her daughter before she began pushing her. As she did so, Rose began to wonder of Gil. It had been a while since she had last seen her hound. The last time they had met, it wasn't exactly a good time for her, seeing as he demon was out and about, playing her mischievous, cruel games of hers. She hoped he was doing alright, whatever it was he was doing. Hopefully not getting into too much trouble.

Ah, yes the park was the perfect place to be. There lying on the grass was a tall pale man. Long black pants covered his long legs, while a dark blue shirt covered his scarred chest. Guillotine couldn’t suppress his smile as the warm rays of the sun continued to beat down onto his pale flesh. This felt so nice. He was happy he came early. Who knows what sort of fights he could get into if he came during the busy part of the day? For now, Gil would have to be careful who he picked fights with. He was a wanted man after all. The PIDA had been after him ever since that tragic day at Lunas’. Gil was foolish enough to kill in broad day light, and now he was paying the price for it. Suppose he should put that thought behind him, it would be ashamed if this day were to go south because of a bad memory. Needless to say, there was nothing more rejuvenating than sun bathing. Ah, this was a very relaxing evening for the young hell hound. He continued to lie back in the soft, plush grass with a ‘larger than life’ smile on his face. It seemed that the warm air that surrounded him began to melt his worries away, whilst there he didn’t seem to have a single care in the world. Nothing could possibly ruin this moment. The beasts pulled his arms behind his head and released a seemingly relaxed sigh. Could his day get any better? A nice warm breeze swept through the park. It carried with it several scents. Once this breeze swept passed Guillotine he picked up on a very familiar scent. The male’s forest green eye flashed open. Now what could this smell be? Guillotine thought about this as he began to sit up. The male adjusted his eye patched as he began to ponder the origin of this one scent. After giving it some thought he finally recognized this pleasant aroma. It was Rose’s scent! It had been so long since he had last see the woman that he nearly forgotten what she smelled like. Guillotine quickly pulled himself up and brushed himself off. He pointed his nose to the heavens and took in another long breath. He savored the smell as long as he could before his legs began to move. Gil’s single forest green eye scanned the perimeter as he walked along the small side walk that seemed to cut through the park. He was trying to follow the woman’s scent but the wind decided to be difficult. It took Guillotine a minute or so before he stumbled upon Rose’s car. He happily walked around the damn thing as If Rose was still inside (to his dismay she wasn’t). Instinct began to tug at his head. When instinct took over, bad things happened. This particular situation wasn’t any different. Come to find out, he wanted to mark his territory on it. Guillotine’s hands moved south, about to unzip his pants when he thought about what he was about to do. Suppose Rose wouldn’t be too happy to find that he pissed on her car? A low grumbled streamed past his lips. It would be better if he were to find the woman instead. With a loud sigh Guillotine moved away from the car and looked around once more. After looking around his eye caught a familiar shape over by the swing sets. There she was! There was his Rose! Guillotine’s heart skipped a beat. The woman wasn’t alone. Rose was pushing a small child on the swing. That child was little Anna, his biological daughter. Guillotine swallowed hard. He had a decision to make. He could either face his fears and approached Rose, or he could turn around and leave. Guillotine stood there and thought about this for a moment. Well, it would pain him if he just left without saying hello. It had been some time sense he had last seen the lovely woman. Guillotine slipped his pale hands into his pants pocket, he made his decision. He was going to see Rose, child or not. The tall male took several deep breaths before he approached the woman. The last thing he would want to do was piss her off like he did the last time Anna was around. Guillotine continued to hold his hands in his pockets as he approached Rose. He didn’t touch the woman. Instead he stood beside her and watched Anna on the swing. “It’s been a while, huh?” He cooed as his single forest green eye looked down at Rose. Gil's inner hound was giving him some trouble. He just wanted to jump on Rose and hug her, but such actions could possibly spark a negative reaction for Anna. The tall male seemed a bit unsure about the situation, however, he would do his best to stay calm.

Rose was grateful for the lovely weather the day provided, and Anna seemed to be happy about it as well. Winter had been so confining for the little family, that Rose was happy just to get everyone out of the house now that it wasn't freezing cold or pouring down rain. She wondered what Wey was doing with Felkin back home though. Probably playing in the backyard most likely, running around chasing one another or something like that. Perhaps Arg was participating in being outside, and hopefully Violet as well. That was the hope anyways.
But, her time and energy was not focused on the family back home, but of the little girl she had brought out here today. Not that Anna needed a great deal of watching, at least not here. The child was a curious little thing, always questioning, always poking her nose into places that probably shouldn't be poked at. Just like her mother, her father as well in some cases. But, most of the time, Anna was a good listener, and did as she was told and didn't get into too much trouble. In fact, she was a much better listener than what Rose had been at a young age, and a bit more tame. This was odd considering that Anna's parents weren't exactly the mildest of beings. But, that just mean less trouble for Rose and Wey honestly, and she was thankful for such well behaved children. That didn't mean that they didn't have their off days, and Rose could swear those two collaborated in a childishly devious way just to be frustrating. It must be a twin thing, well, of course it is a twin thing. Rose was a twin, and shit like that tended to happen a hell of a lot, which was hilarious at the time honestly.
Rose was grinning at Anna's amusement, wondering what goes on in her little head while playing. Anna giggled and squealed with excitement as Rose pushed her just a little higher on the swing. This would be as high as she would allow the swing to go however, fearing that if Anna did managed to slip out, she wouldn't fall quite to far. Soon enough, the little girl would grow bored of the swing, and Rose could predict exactly where she would go next, because she did it almost every single time she was brought here.
She had heard footsteps not so far behind her, but she had not thought anything of it. But when someone crept up beside her, Rose could see the shadow of the figure fall in front of her. The voice that followed after caused Rose to whip her head around to meet Guillotine's tall, slender frame. An instinctively happy grin popped onto her face at the sight of him, just as it always did when the hound appeared. Sure, sometimes Gil did stupid shit, shit that pissed Rose off, but she still loved to see the man. It saddened her that she didn't get to see him as much as she use to, and that the last couple encounters weren't exactly the greatest.
"Yeah, it has been a while I guess." She said with a smile, turning away from him shortly to give Anna another little push. The girl had turned to look and see who her mother was speaking to, and her little mismatched colored eyes widened in curiosity at the new man. He was really tall, taller than Wey even, and that fascinated the little girl.
"How have you been Gil?" She asked, taking a brief moment to wrap her arms around the hound in a quick, yet affectionate hug. Rose then noticed how different Gil's eyes were just then, only one of them were the same forest green, while the other was the reddish color they turned when in hound form. How odd. "What's up with your eyes Gil? Get into a freak accident?" Rose asked, half teasingly, half seriously. If the freak accident involved something incredibly violent or gory, Rose hoped that he would not speak about it in front of Anna, and just hoped he would be vague until they spoke without the presence of a small child.
"Who is that mama?" Anna asked curiously, her eyes never leaving Gil, even as she swung. "Sweetheart, this is my friend Gil." Rose said softly with a smile. "Hi Gil!" Anna chirped, using one hand to wave at the hound while clinging to the chain with the other.

Oh, how Guillotine missed his dear sweet Rose. Her scent alone gave the beast a sense of nostalgia. He missed those days were they used to hang out. Back then the two were joined at the hip. But now things have changed, and they seemed to be growing apart. Perhaps it had something to do with Wey, and the fact that Gil was never good around kids. Rose continued to push the little girl on the swing. She took a moment to lean over and give Gil a quick hug. He smiled and wrapped his arms around his dear friend before nuzzling the side of his face against hers. After she released him, Gil seemed to frown. He remembered back when the two used to hold each other for the longest. But that was nothing more than a distant memory now. Rose was already taken. Gil had to realize that.
Rose asked how he was doing. Gil was reluctant to answer. He released a low sigh. “I’ve been better, Love.” This was all he wanted to say. Soon enough the topic of his eye aroused Rose’s curiosity. Gil cursed to himself. “I-I’d rather not talk about it.” Guillotine replied his long pale fingers quickly combed his black hair over his ‘handicapped eye’. The beast would leave it at that. Rose didn’t need to hear the story. Gil would be too embarrassed to tell her about it anyway, him becoming a demon’s bitch and all. Luckily for the hound, little Anna decide to speak. Her two toned eyes had yet to look away from Gil. A spark of anxiety whelped up within him. Gil hadn’t been around children long enough to understand what they were about, and that they were curious creatures. The beast took this little, curious stare the wrong way. He gave the girl a glare of his own, one that seemed a bit too harsh for such a little child. Well at least this was a step up from attempting to attack her, like he tried to do last time they meet. Soon enough Rose spoke Gil’s name. When she did, Anna’s face light up. She smile and said hello before waving. Guillotine seemed a bit taken back by this. “Hello Anna.” Guillotine replied, he lifted his hand and slowly-yet awkwardly waved back. It was a shame that this little girl had no idea she was talking to her own father.
Gil turned his attention to Rose. He seemed almost amazed how much the little girl had grown. Perhaps she had some hellhound DNA in her after all. “She’s gotten a lot bigger since the last time I saw her.” Gil stated. He began to get a little more comfortable with his surroundings. This was Rose he was talking to; he had no reason to be skittish like this. A smirk graced Guillotine’s handsome face as he wrapped one arm around his dear friend and pulled her close. Oh how he missed this scent. Rose always seemed to smell so nice. “We need to catch up. I take it you’ve been doing well?”

It was funny how so many things could change in a short amount of time. It seemed like only a short time ago that Rose had met and befriended Gil. She missed all those times she spent with the hound, even if he had caused her trouble from time to time. Rose hadn't minded the trouble actually, well, the trouble that happened before Wey and the kids came around. Trouble as in, having to have little skirmishes with the rambunctious hellhound. The trouble had been worth it though, since the two had often spent many calm moments with one another. It made Rose a bit sad that quality time with Gil would never be like how it use to. But, she had the responsibilities of taking care of her loving family. At least though some of the burdens can be handled by her fiance. Rose hoped that someday Gil could settle down, if even just a bit. Maybe he would be happier, maybe as happy as Rose was now.
The Nephilim smiled at her and Gil's brief embrace. She missed hugging him, missed the way he nuzzled the side of her face with his own. She just missed him in general. She however did frown a little in concern over her friend's words. Rose gave another push on Anna's swing before she nodded in understanding towards Gil. "Ok, we don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." She said, patting the hound gently on his arm.
Anna listened quietly, though she was curious about the strange man's eyes, and wondered why he didn't want to talk about it. They were pretty after all! They looked like her own eyes, like Felkin's too. "Do you not like your eyes? I think they're pretty!" The girl squeaked, kicking her legs a bit as she swung. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the strange look he gave her. Anna just tilted her head a bit in bewilderment. Rose however, shot Gil a look of her own, warning Gil to not try anything funny. Her look softened into a look of amusement though as Gil responded to Anna's little greeting and wave. Of course, little did the child know, was the fact that she was waving at her biological father. Rose had no intentions on telling Anna this, nor did Wey. Unless of course in the future, if Anna questioned it, then the truth would need to come out. But, as of right now, there was no need for it.
"Can I go play on the slide now please?" The girl asked, turning her head to look at Rose. "Of course you can sweetie." Rose said kindly, gently stopping the swing so Anna could get down. The little girl giggled and bounded away to the small slide that stood nearby. Rose returned her attention to Gil, while keeping one watchful eye on her daughter. She smiled and shook her head at his observation. "Yeah she certainly has. Felkin's grown a lot too." Rose laughed a little. "One of the perks of being a hybrid after all." She said with a shrug. Just then, Gil wrapped an arm around her, pulling her up against him just like how he use to. Rose gave another small, quiet laugh and wrapped an arm around him as well. "We really do need to catch up. And see each other a little more often, don't you think?" The Nephilim smirked. "Yes I've been doing well, beyond well really." She said with a blissful smile as she thought about her recent engagement. Rose even stole a glance at her ring hand and grinned a bit more before looking briefly back up at Gil. "So...been better huh? Anything you need to talk about? Or no?" She asked quietly, returning her gaze to Anna as she slid down the slide, and ran around to climb up again.

A warm, comforting sensation crept over Guillotine’s tall frame as he embraced Rose. His eyes seemed to roll back with sheer ecstasy as her lovely scent rushed into his nose. God, he missed the young half breed. This was a scent he could never forget. It was an aroma that seemed almost nostalgic to him. Rose had been one of the first real friends he’s ever had. Granted, it was because of her (and Akhtar) that he never found comfort with his own pack. His relationship with these humans, and half breeds was the main reason why his pack turned against him. This saddened Gil to some extent. If it wasn’t for Rose or Akhtar then he’d still be with his pack. But, on the flip side, he felt almost human when he was around his non-hellhound friends. He felt real emotion. Unfortunately, his relationship with the ones he loved began to dissolve over time. It didn’t seem like Rose had himself were as close as they used to be. Suppose time had a way of changing people? Guillotine’s multicolored eyes watched as Anna continued to swing. He only took his eyes off her for a brief moment as Rose spoke. “Thanks, maybe we can talk about it some other time…” Guillotine replied as he turned his attention back to Anna. The male seemed interesting in the little girl. He was almost curious. Granted, it was because he was in a fairly good mood at the time. Questions began to materialize in his head. He wondered if she would ever find out about her heritage, or did Rose’s genes masked his own. Gil doubted this. Sooner or later this girl’s inner hound would come out, and all hell would break loose. The tall male was pulled from his thoughts when little Anna commented on his eyes. Guillotine was a bit taken back by this. Not only did she question him, but she also stated that they were ‘pretty’. It took Gil a moment to gather his words. “N-no, I’m not too fond of them…” Guillotine began the male then cleared his throat. This situation was getting awkward for him. “Um, T-thank you Anna…” From this moment on Guillotine didn’t say a single word. Instead, he watched the little girl with eyes full of curiosity. He could see quite a bit of Rose in her. Just knowing this caused the beasts to smirk. He had yet to notice Rose’s protective glare. The woman was watching him like a hawk, she had a good reason too. The last time Gil meet the kid he tried to kill her. Guillotine was quite content right now. A large dose of nicotine was running through his veins. This calmed the bull-headed beast. He wouldn’t do anything to the little girl, not today anyway. Soon enough, little Anna grew board of the swing and asked to play on the slide. Gil finally looked to Rose, he was curious if she would let the little girl go off on her own. Granted, the slide was only a few feet away. Rose gently stopped the swing and let Anna run off to the slide. The little girl happily bounded away. Guillotine’s smirk seemed to growl as he watched her play on the slide. As Rose and himself watched Anna play, Rose replied to Gil’s observation. “I suppose.” He replied. She even stated that Felkin was growing as well. “Let’s just hope Anna keeps her human side, for everyone’s sake.” Guillotine began as he wrapped one arm around Rose and pulled her close. A frown suddenly took over his features as he thought into Anna’s heritage. “Pups have been known to kill their siblings.” The male then sighed, his voice then turned serious. “If something happens Rose, you know my number. Don’t hesitate to give me a call. ” His mood lightened a bit as the conversation took off in another direction. “I agree, maybe I can come over for once.” Guillotine cooed with a hardy chuckle. He was getting excited just thinking about visiting Rose in her new home. Since Rose moved to god knows were, Gil had yet to see her. It wouldn’t be surprising if she ended up moving in with Wey. They were mates after all. Wait-wasn’t Wey a shadow cat though? Did shadow cats even living in homes? Guillotine thought about this for a moment. Wey was a shadow, what use could he possibly get from a house? Curiosity began to overtake the young hellhound. He knew little to noting about Wey, and yet he still hated him. Gil was willing to ask if Rose was living in a shadow home or something, but his attention was redirected to her ring. The male caught Rose glancing down at something. His eyes followed her own to a ring. It was a strange looking one. Guillotine cocked his head to the side as his curiosity got the better of him. “Actually, there is one thing.” Gil replied.”Where did you get that ring? It looks expensive.”
