Finally he was done. It had taken John longer than he expected to talk to the suspect’s doctor, but he finally got what he needed. This was almost too good to be true. The man had been a bit skeptical at first that this girl was the one they were looking for. While on paper it seemed possible, a young girl fitting the description of the shapeshifter his group had been hunting down taken into the hospital, and then the sudden appearance of a man that happened to match the description of the hellhound they were also searching for nearly taking her away. It couldn’t have been real right? IT just seemed too perfect for this. After all the people they were looking for had evaded capture for so long it seemed so silly to catch them like this. But a lead was a lead, so naturally he had to check it out. A part of him still felt skeptical about the whole thing when they got here, but after talking to the doctor everything seemed to fit.
The girl had no I.D. on her, not even a slight hint of medical history at all, nor could she seem to give any good explanation for it when confronted about the issue. That was a common occurrence for supernaturals at least. The doctor easily identified her when John showed him the picture of the suspect too. This girl had to be the one that they were looking for. His story also matched the one that he had heard back at base, and when asked about the man who had tried to carry the shapeshifter away it was obvious that it was Guillotine that he was talking about. John had more than enough reason now for him and his partner to take the girl in. He couldn’t have asked for anything more than this. This was the break that they needed on this case. In only a matter of moments he and James would take one of the suspects into custody.
The only question that remained was how to do this. John pondered over his next move as he headed down to the shapeshifter’s room to meet Nova. They couldn’t just pull her out of bed and drive off in the state she was in. With the injuries she had, and with her being pregnant they had to be careful how they dealt with her. Pregnant…after he heard about that, he nearly he almost felt some sympathy for the girl. It was bad enough almost dying, and then finding out that you were having a child, only to get arrested later. John just pushed the feeling aside though. Sad or not this girl was wanted for murder; he had to take her in regardless of her condition. John had little trouble finding the girl’s room. The man entered the room, looking at his partner and the girl. “Afternoon.” He greeted them. John’s eyes fell on the girl once more. Yup, she was definitely the one they were looking for. “I am Agent Johnathan Blaine, and you already met my partner Agent James Willis.” He told her. “I had a little talk with your doctor and he said hat you should be well enough to come with us.” John turned his attention back to Nova. “I think it’s best to call headquarters for someone to pick her up from here. Are you ready to go?”
