The weather had decided to be cooperative today, as a nice cool breeze blew about to counteract the heat from the sun. Alex's head felt stuffed from all of the information she had to memorize at work for the last four days. What chinese dynasty did this inscribed urn come from? How old was this slab of stone inscribed with hieroglyphics? Day in and day out it was like that. That was not to say that it was hard for Alex, quite the opposite the work was easy for the angel. Perhaps that was why she felt her mind trailing off often during work. Human history while interesting was pretty boring overall, even with the good bits. Not even her side job gave her much escape. Poor hunting as well as guilty pleasures. A zoo was one place Alex had never ventured to until now. Why would the angel wish to visit a place that held animals in cages for the entertainment of humans? What was so attractive about that? The mere idea irked the angel at first but once she actually looked into it she began to see the good in it. Of course like all things human Alex found herself coming up with theories of her own as to why the humans were doing it. The wind gently blew at Alex's orange maxi skirt as if not daring to blow any stronger. The shade from the green overhang she was under helped increase the cool breeze's effect. Since the sun wasn't burning her skin Alex took her time looking over the map. The cute animal designs did attract her eye along with the colorful paths. In all honesty the angel did not know where to go first. The excited cries of children called out from all around her. Some wanted to see the lions while others wanted to see the monkeys. What was so eye catching about those two animals? Alex softly chewed her lip as she looked down and grabbed a thick booklet with the zoo's name on it. Flipping through the pages Alex saw high definition pictures of the various animal exhibits. While speed flipping through the glossy pages one picture caused Alex to hastily turn back to it. The next second Alex was staring an odd looking avian. Okay then. she snorted silently in amusement before deciding on her first stop. With the booklet secured firmly in her hands Alex moved through the shifting crowds all the while keeping her brown eyes peeled for the peculiar looking birds from the book. Eventually after making a couple of left turns and a right turn Alex came to her destination. " Father's will be true. " Alex muttered in astonishment as she stared at the long legged pink birds. When one of them let out a loud cry she couldn't help but laugh a little. Earth was full of wonders. Garm

It was another nice day in New Orlando to be out and about. It was one of those rare times that matched up with the hellhound's desire to do something that Garm had to take advantage of the rare opportunity and do something. Garm was not one who normally liked to go out during the day but every once in awhile he did it. How could he not do it today? It was a nice day and there were fewer people out on the streets, they were either at work or school cause it was the middle of the week. The fewer people around the more comfortable he felt about being outside at this time of day. There was a lot of the city that he had still not yet explored and he intended to do just that while he was here. Today was going to be more exciting than most of Garm's random adventures, for today he was not just letting his feet guide him where ever they decided to tread but he was going to a very specific place. What was the place he was going at? The Zoo. Ah yes, the local zoo. Garm had found out a few days ago that there was a zoo not too far in the city. As a pup he had only been to the place once in his life but he had loved it. It was the one place in the world that hosted almost all the iconic animals that existed all over the world for everyone to see. It might seem strange to some for a fiercely proud beast such as him to like such a place. As a fellow animal it should have been a bad thing seeing other animals locked away in cages. A part of him did feel sorry for those animals at first but much to his surprise he found out that the animals in question for the most part didn't mind it. Their cages were not too confining, they were well fed and cared for, some even liked the attention they got from the humans that came to look at them. Like most domesticated animals the animals that lived in the zoo didn't have a problem with the life they lead. Along with the zoo's basic function to educate normally ignorant humans about the creatures they lived alongside, and helping to keep endangered species from being wiped off the face of the earth, Garm couldn't bring himself to hate a place like that. Who knows, it could still be a little fun even now. Garm was more than happy to pay this little zoo a visit with his minions. The Devas had not been born during the time he had been a child so they never got the chance to see all the exotic animals of the world beyond what they saw on the television back home. It would be a good experience for his minions so he took them with him. The Devas were quite excited about it once they got there. They jumped out of their hiding spots to look at the creatures in their pens and listened excitedly to his explanations on what the animals were. He even let them pick out which enclosures they wanted to visit. Each Deva had their own particular taste in certain creatures they wanted to see. “Hang on guys, we will take turns on where we go alright?” He told his minions when they all tried to clamber at the map. “Indra, you go first what do you want to see?” He addressed the youngest of the Devas first for her to pick their destination. The little female looked the map over before eagerly pawing at the flamingos. Indra had an odd fascination with birds. That was fine, Garm wasn't a big bird fan, but he found the creatures interesting enough. Garm made his way over to where the flamingoes were when he spotted someone familiar. The male stopped to watch the lone female at a distance. Was it really her? It looked like it. It had been awhile since Garm had his encounter with the angel named Alexandria but he could hardly forget the woman. She had been an interesting being to run into at the time, and friendlier than he had expected with a being like him. With a smile the hound made his way up beside her (making sure he didn't sneak up and startle her). “Hello Alex, it's nice to see you again.” the hound greeted her. “I didn't expect to meet you again in a place like this.”______________________ Tag: Alexandria JacksonNote: My brain just died at the end sorry x.x

A feeling of danger crept over the angel, a feeling she recognized to mean that a demon was near. However after a second or two her mind got wise and she recognized this specific demon with his unique and interesting feel. Not many demons were able to elicit a warm friendly smile from the angel, in fact Garm was the only one. She turned around, finger acting as a bookmark, and greeted the hybrid demon when he was closer. " Hello Garm. It is a pleasure to see you as well. " her words were formal but also held a hint of lax familiarity that one reserved for a friend.
Alex immediately spotted the demon's small furry companions. Did he carry them around with him everywhere he went? She tucked the question into the back of her mind for future use before answering Garm's question. " I decided to spend my day off trying something new. " Alex idly tapped a manicured finger against the glossy front of her animal book. It didn't surprise her that Garm would be here. The hell hound had a good relationship with the little rodents that accompanied him so the angel figured he liked animals, though the extent was unknown to her. She'd have to inquire about that as well. There was much more Alex wanted to learn about the half demon before her.
The birds behind her began to sound off once more making Alex turn back around to look at them. Birds in general were not a foreign experience to Alex. They were everywhere she went, or at least a certain kind were. The little grey and brown ones humans called pigeons. There were also the pitch black ones known as crows, they unlike the pigeons, were not annoying.
She went back to looking at the pink birds in her book, still mindful of Garm of course. " Such loud creatures. " she commented in reference to the large pink birds before, but she was in no way annoyed. " Their feathers are so pink. How could they possibly camouflage themselves in the wild? " They didn't have animals like these in heaven. They didn't have a lot of things she'd found in the human world in heaven. Alex watched, as if it was the most interesting thing in all of existence, as one bird brought a leg up and balanced itself perfectly on the remaining one.

The mighty beast could hardly believe what his eyes were seeing. It wasn't like he never expected to meet the female angel again at some point. It was only a matter of time till he did. They both were living (as far as he knew Alex was living in New Orlando) in the same city. New Orlando based on his past experiences exploring the city was not that large. They were destined to cross paths again. The thought that they might run into each other at the zoo though was not something he expected. Then again, he didn't even know that there was a zoo here until recently so what did he know? It certainly was a pleasant surprise. There was something about Alexandria that drew him to her. Their conflicting natures should have made them bitter enemies, but their mutual way of thinking had kept that from happening. Alex was a lot like him in some ways, minus the added conflict of having human blood running through her veins. For an angel she had earned his respect. He couldn't just not say anything when he saw her. After recovering from his initial surprise Garm made his way over to her. He was careful with the way he approached as he often was when he was taking care not to startle someone. Alexandria did not fear his presence like most foolish mortals did, but his demonic aura would still send her warning vibes upon his approach. Her aura did the same to him whenever he got close enough to feel it. Was this what it was like for the humans that were afraid of him? If so then humans were more pathetic than he thought they were. The unease his hellhound instincts felt being in the angel's presence was easy to ignore once he decided to do so. Once he let his guard down that uncomfortable feeling disappeared. At worse he felt unsure of what to say, more out of being socially inept when dealing with casual interactions such as this than any sense of danger. With the way he addressed her when he walked over though most would not suspect that. As far as he could tell she didn't see that in him. The angel greeted him with a warm smile which he returned in kind. Even the Devas came out to greet the lovely angel. Vishnu, Shiva, and Kali hopped off their master to greet the woman. Indra choose to crawl up to his shoulder to give her a wary glance instead, that was the closest most would get from the youngest Deva. There was no helping it so Garm left the little one be, turning his attention on Alexandria instead to ask her what she was doing here. “That's right, you are still a little new to the human world. This must be your first time at a zoo.” Garm chuckled a little remembering what Alex had told him during their last encounter. A place like this might seem a little odd for any being that wasn't used to the human world, at least she seemed to be enjoying herself. “You aren't the only one. I have been to a place like this once in a different city. This is the first time my Deva's have been to a zoo...I thought it would be a nice change of pace to take them somewhere special than just roaming the city streets for once.” He was honestly glad he decided to do this. Normally he felt uncomfortable going outside during the day time because of the sheer amount of people that were out and about during the day. But today was pretty peaceful. The devas liked it here, and he even bumped into someone he considered a friend. That wasn't too bad in his book. The flamingos soon grabbed everyone's attention. Alex's comment on the birds made him smile again. “If memory serves me correct some of their natural predators are colour blind. So birds like these don't stand out as badly as one would expect. Even if they did flamingos travel in very large flocks, it makes little difference if one or two out of the hundreds that live together get caught. The rest will still live on.”__________________ Tag: Alexandria JacksonNote: My concentration today is shit, sorry x.x

Garm's words had made sense and she even found the same information printed in her book in small black font. Safety in numbers was a time tested success. Alex closed her book then went into her purse, feeling for her phone before pulling it out. For a moment Alex put the animal catalog into her purse so that she could dedicate both hands to holding her phone. It was a common human tradition to memorialize certain moments deemed special. It was done with souvenirs or medals during past times, still done today, but nowadays with camera phones within easy reach it was often the first way people thought of cementing something. Alex swiped the screen until she came to the camera. With a tap the app loaded and Alex held it in the air, standing so still it wouldn't have looked right to the human mind and then took the picture right as two of the large pink avians glanced her way.
A content smile lit the angel's face as she brought her phone down then turned around to face Garm. The little creatures that accompanied him seemed to be enjoying themselves which Alex thought was very cute. It was funny how adorable little fuzz balls could offset Garm's intimidating appearance. It added another level of charm to her view of him.
Once again the angel went off into her purse, this time putting her white phone back and pulling the booklet back out. Where to go next was a question her mind could not answer, the zoo was such a big place, so she turned to Garm. Having someone else take the reigns was fun. Plus, she wanted to get an idea of what Garm was interested in. " Any ideas about where to go next? " she asked moving a little closer to the hell hound.
OOC: It's short, sorry. Garm
