Loki's patience was beginning to wear thin. The little shifter was not an impatient man, but with how much Rune was still bleeding out he couldn't help but feel that way. It was only a matter of time before Rune passed out from all the blood he was losing. This wasn't the worse case of blood loss that Loki had ever dealt with but it was still one that left him concern. If Rune passed out he wasn't sure what he was going to do. He didn't know where the other shifter lived so he couldn't take him back to his home, he couldn't even carry the other shifter to his own apartment even if he was willing to bite the bullet and explain what happened to Azazel tonight. It was better for everyone involved if he could just patch the man up. But Rune wouldn't let him. He had no god damn idea why Rune was refusing his help but he was. What the hell was Loki suppose to do here?
In the end Loki only had one option. He had to reason with him. The usually gentle looking boy laid some hard facts down for Rune to swallow before giving him a choice. Bleed out till you pass out, or suck it up and get treated. It was simple as that. Loki wasn't about to force Rune to accept treatment if he refused, he could always bandage him up once he had passed out. Thankfully he wouldn't have to wait for that to happen. There was a moment of silence at first while he weighed his options but finally Rune caved in. “Good, then I will get started.” The boy's friendly smile returned once again. Loki moved closer and started focusing on his work. “Just keep still and I will finish this quickly alright?” He could tell that Rune was still nervous around him. He had no clue why but it was pretty obvious by this point. Why he would be so nervous around someone like him Loki had no clue. He hadn't given him a reason to be, he didn't threaten the man's life. Even thought Rune did get a little taste of what he was capable of Loki didn't seem dangerous did he?
This poor unfortunate kid had no idea the kind of thoughts that were swirling around in Rune's head. Despite his efforts to learn all the things that he had been forbidden from delving in, or was kept away from, Loki was still ignorant of certain things. He was too focused in what he was doing to notice the change in Rune. As he promised Loki made quick work on his bandaging. It didn't take him long at all to finish what he was doing. It helped that Rune was staying still. He didn't even flinch when Loki tightened the wrappings to slow the bleeding down. “There, that should do it.” He had done all that he could for now. The only thing left for Rune to do now was to head home and get some rest. He was just about to suggest that they head out when he felt Rune's fingers brush against his cheek.
….What?
Loki looked up, confusion evident on his face as he looked into Rune's eyes. “Rune?” There were many things about this action that just baffled Loki. Why was Rune touching him? He had seemed so afraid of Loki at first that so much as a simple handshake made him freak out. But now he was willingly touching him and so tenderly too. That was the other thing that sent alarm bells in the boy's head. Why was he touching him like this? An unpleasant memory came back to his mind before Loki tried to shove it to the side. No. This wasn't like the last encounter he had with Gil. Rune wasn't dying and hallucinating that Loki was someone else. There was no way that something like that was going to happen again. He was just...over thinking it. Right? Something was wrong though, that much he could tell clearly. “What's wrong?” He got no answer. Rune didn't respond, but he did get closer. Now he was getting really comfortable with what was transpiring but he didn't move. He was just too confused to do anything.
What was going on? Was he reading the atmosphere right? Was he in danger? Or was this all in his head? Once again Loki's inability to react in time would cost him dearly. Before Loki could even think about moving away he suddenly felt Rune's lips brush against his. The sensation was brief but the effect of it was something that would be hard to forget even if he could repress it. For the second time in his life Loki got kissed by another man. It felt like an eternity passed for him to register what just happened. The boy's face turned red, he had to turn away just so Rune could not see the shame on his face. Dear god, why did this keep happening to him?! “I-I think you had a little too much to drink.” Loki said as he got up to fetch his hoodie. Yes, that had to be the reason why this happened again. Alcohol had a tendency to make people do irrational things. Loki knew he probably did some things he'd regret the one time he had been drunk even if he couldn't remember it. Rune was just drunk...that was all. Why else would he have kissed him? The shifter but the only bit of clothing he had left on, zipping himself up, and pulling up the hood to help hide his face before turning back to face Rune again. “How are you holding up, do you think you can stand?” Just because he was patched up didn't mean that he wasn't suffering from blood loss. There was a chance that Loki would have to help Rune back on his feet but at the moment he was afraid to approach the man. There was no telling how far Rune might go while under the influence.
