In the endless darkness of the night, a dark, terrifying figure, could be seen walking through the brush. A thick aura of malice coursed through his every being as the young powerful hell beast walked through the forest. The lesser creatures would be grateful that tonight Garm would not be taking on his true form as he went about his business. There would be no hunt tonight, no havoc being spread in this secluded place on this night. The mighty Garm would keep his human form for now for tonight he was exploring his territory. Ah yes, this place would soon become a part of his vast territory. Garm had traveled far and wide (over state) to find a new home. His travels had brought him to this place, New Orlands. Garm wasn't sure if he would like this place yet. This was the first time he had moved anywhere alone. He had never liked change but he had no choice. His mother wasn't with him anymore and he couldn't stay where he had been before. He might have vanquished the monster that had stolen his precious mother's life but that wouldn't stop others from coming for him eventually. Garm was a fearsome beast but even the mighty could be brought down. Only a fool would stay where his enemies were bound to find them.
Besides, he couldn't stand the memories he had of the place, the memories of a naive little mortal named Malakai. Once he had saved up enough money he had gathered his things and his loyal minions and set off in the vast world. Perhaps he wouldn't live in New Orlands forever. In a few months he might set off once again when he had the finances to do so. For now he planned to settle down. His first order of business was to see what the city had to offer. All of New Orlands was his for the taking for as long as he wished it to be so he had to know the area. His first few days had been spent exploring within the city. Tonight brought him here. The forest was the perfect place for a beast like him. The cover of the woods would leave him to run and hunt when his blood lust overwhelmed him. Soon, soon this place would be witness to his power. For now he was content to just learning his way around.
But he wasn't alone in these woods. This wasn't in the normal sense of the meaning. One could not be truly alone in any forest. Even on a night like this a forest was always teeming with wildlife. That was something he was used to he always welcomed that feeling he got with being one with nature. But this...this was different. There was something alien in this place with him and it was close. He could feel it in the air and he could hear it in the rustling in the brush. Garm the Terrible stood still listening to whatever was lurking in the darkness around him get closer. He could tell where it was coming from but he didn't turn around to see what it was. He simply spoke in a deep and chilling voice. "Stop right there, if you value your life don't come any closer."

Alierah chose to wear long sleeves today.
Often she was fashionably adept, and just as often it was a particularly skimpy ensemble, but today she wanted to stop the questions of her bandages. They were healing a bit quicker now that she wasn't under so much stress, and they'd finally stopped bleeding every single time she lifted something. Unfortunately, they were still sore and prepared to bleed at the worst of times, so Alierah would be deterred from arm wrestling -- or any sort of wrestling -- for some time yet. Light had already began to return to the hellhound's face; her children and mate had returned alive and well. Er... Alive. Geikitsu seemed to endure the worst of it, and was now paying the consequences, but the children were mostly okay. Alierah had wanted to bring them along, but she knew they needed more time to heal. It was just as well, because Alierah hadn't been out and about so casually in months.
The brunette was in the middle of talking to Jude, one of her many littermates, about how itchy her sleeves were when she stopped in her tracks. Ali held an arm out in front of Jude to stop him as well, raising her chin to aid her senses. "There is a scent," she said matter-of-factly. There was a chance Jude had already picked up on it, but this was Ali's strong suit. Her ears were momentarily engulfed in flame, the fire revealing the large ears of her hound form. She pointed them in the direction of the scent, and could just barely hear foot steps. "... Smells like a dog with a huge ego who doesn't know how to walk in the forest." she continued, furrowing her brows while her ears became human once more. "Fuck no, this is my turf, the bitterness in her voice was too real. Too real, dude. Look out, Garm.
She skipped silently over branches and bushes, elated to be tracking something again. When she got a bit closer, Ali felt an intense sting in her arm. She tripped over herself and rustled several bushes, knowing at this point she'd alerted her target. No longer paying any sort of attention to Jude, because fuck Jude, Alierah crouched amid the brush and giggled quietly. The scent of his youth and ego were more tangible now, when he spoke of not moving closer if Alierah "valued her life". He didn't even know what he was facing, so how could he be so confident? Already this pup reminded her of Guillotine. "Prideful, like every other man I know," she jeered, glancing to Jude. When she turned back to Garm, she rubbed her hands together excitedly. "This should be fun!" the girl exclaimed. With that, Alierah was no longer visible.
Looking at her hands to make sure she had truly gone invisible, and wasn't a complete piece of shit, Ali's smile became a sneer. She brought her eyes back up to her target, and spoke loudly enough for him to hear. "Who are you, pup? Are you lost? Came the first questions. Alierah wasn't nearly as territorial as Guillotine, and in fact did not mind trespassers. It made for potential friendships, or even better, enemies. Alierah circled around the clearing, eyes focused intently on Garm. She made sure to break a few twigs or crunch some leaves every now and then to give an idea of where she was. Alierah took note of the rodents Garm kept at his side, doing everything in her power not to find out if they were as tasty as they looked. "Did you bring me a snack?" Ali teased further. The girl looked back to Jude, wondering what his take was on the newcomer.

There was something out here that shouldn't be. Garm's keen senses picked up on the intruder's footsteps not too far away from where he stood. There was no mistaking these sounds. This was not the sound of a deer or any other innocent prey lost in the woods, these were the foot falls that belonged to a predator. But what kind of predator? Garm was smart, strong, and in tuned with all his senses unlike a puny mortal man but he was not perfect. He couldn't tell what he was dealing with on what he was hearing alone. If he had to guess what he was about to face was something sinister. Had another demon come for him? Heh, let the lesser creature throw whatever it has at me. I have killed one before I can do it again. Garm gave this newcomer a warning before it could get any closer. It was going to be the sneaky devil's one and only chance to get away with its life if it valued its own life at all. Would the being have the brains to take the easy way out?
The answer was a resounding no.
Not long after he spoke did a voice answer him. It was the soft, soothing sound of a female's voice. Ah so the one to great his maleficence was a woman this time? He would have felt a little more hesitant to greet the female so viciously if she didn't say what she said. A low growl rose out the hound's throat. “Pup? You stand before a great and mighty warrior. One well versed in the art of battle. I am not the kind of fiend you would mistake for a little puppy.” Garm turned to steel his gaze on his would be opponent only to find no one there. Strange...he could have sworn the female had been behind him. His sense had never failed him before, he was sure she had to be there. But he was wrong. If she wasn't behind him then where did she go? Garm remained standing where he was, looking around him for any signs of the female he had heard before.
“You wish to know who I am? Very well. I will entertain you. I am Garm, the one who will bring about doom to his enemies.” He could hear the female moving around him. Every little snap and rustle he heard told him that she was close by yet he could not see her. Something was wrong but he couldn't put his finger on it. His minions could sense it too. A few of his rodent companions had already poked their heads out from their hiding spots to sniff around for any signs of the enemy. While he had no idea where his enemy was hiding he still kept talking to see what she would do and to give his minions the chance to figure out her location for him. “Tell me woman, do you really wish to become my enemy? It would be a shame if I had to kill you, this wouldn't be my first time vanquishing a foe but it is foul work slaying a female, demon or otherwise.”
A dark chuckle left his lips when the stranger asked if he was lost. “Me? Lost? I have never gotten lost in my life. No...I am here because it is my place to be here. These woods are perfect for my plans. I will come here as often as I need for as long as I need. If you have a problem with that then come and face me. You need not fear my presence if you don't mean any harm.” There were still no signs of the one speaking to him yet or any signs that the female was looking for a peaceful resolution yet. Garm's patience was starting to wear thin. The beast within him was screaming to be let out to deal with the problem but he couldn't do it. His minions were too close to him for him to risk transforming. The flames that would erupt from his body would burn them within seconds. Garm gently stroked Vishnu's head (the one poking out of his scarf) as he contemplated how he wanted to handle this. It would be easy enough for him to tell them to leave. The four devas were smart and agile enough to leap to the trees for safety, or to make their way back home if he told them to. He wouldn't risk their lives by telling them so now when he couldn't see where this woman was. The devas weren't born for combat like him. If she saw them fleeing there was a chance they could get captured or worse. They were safest on him.
What the woman said next made some of the amusement in his gaze falter for a moment. Another more menacing growl rose out of the man but he caught himself. An evil smile found its way on his menacing face. “Be careful of your words woman. My four Devas are not a snack. You will not be dining on them tonight but perhaps they migh dine on your flesh tonight if you try to harm them. Would you like to see how much my minions enjoy demon blood?”

Alierah had been talking his ear off for what'd felt like hours. The sudden gap in her words came as a relief to the man, his tense shoulders slackening a touch as he swung his eyes over her way, his interest finally piqued after too long a time. Of course, the restricting arm against his chest was hardly an actual obstacle for him to face, should he feel the desire to push past, but he gave her the pleasure of compliance. "No, is there?" he said, in a tone that suggested mocking sarcasm; his bite may've lessened over the years, but his bark was still hard to control at times. As far as the scent went, he'd been able to smell it, too, had been for a minute or so now. It'd started off too faint to really bug him all that much, but it was undoubtedly growing stronger. Amused, he watched as Alierah went so far as to shift out her ears, the canine aspects lasting only long enough for her to tell him what he didn't really care all that much to hear. "How interesting." His murmur went unnoticed, drowned out by Alierah's much stronger declaration. She was always so fervent with emotion. He supposed that was one of the many traits they shared, though he was trying to work on his own set of downfalls.
Following with much less enthusiasm, Jude decided midway through the trek to shift, making it easier to keep up on light feet. His paws made close to zero noise on the ground below, the only sign of his presence fading the further he loped away. The crisped leaves shuddered softly, a few dainty flakes drifting to the ground, until the spot where human footprints changed to that of paws was speckled over and left forgotten. Having come upon Alierah much faster than he'd expected to, he had to lift his head up and away so as not to ram it into her, his golden eyes doing a quick once-over along her body before coming to land upon her arm. She smelled of fresh blood, but his nose quickly trained on something else, pulling his attention over to the space ahead of their hiding spot. A small huff left him as he acknowledged the bush as some kind of cover, mirth in his eyes because he could clearly smell the stranger now. His scent, along with the tone of his voice, hinted at youth. Youth was hardly something to get worked up over, but as he looked back to Alierah, he could see that she was doing just that.
Their eyes met, briefly. He rolled his own and inched forward some more, peeking through the branches to see their opponent. He was... unimpressive, at best. Accompanied by a strange following of rodents. Jude didn't know what to make of that, exactly, but he disregarded it in favor of observing the entire situation. Alierah was already making enough of an entrance that all he needed to do was sit back and watch, but he did so with rapt attention, pointed ears pricked forward despite how much they wanted to fold back the more the other man talked. Which he did. A lot. He was a chatterbox with the strangest of speech patterns (it wasn't the right century anymore for half of those words to be used so casually). And Garm. What kind of a name was Garm? Jude didn't even try to figure this kid out. He was a mess he wasn't willing to clean up. Alierah, however, was a different story. Stupidly, he felt the need to keep a close, brotherly eye on her. That, combined with the look she shot his way, and the headache growing in his skull at the endless torture of listening to this guy speak, evoked a sudden response from the hound.
With heavy, deliberate steps, he rounded the bush, letting out a sharp sounding snarl of frustration. "Oh, do shut up," he growled. His eyes flickered to Alierah, their depths saying, "What? He talks way too fucking much," then rounded back on Garm. He ran them over him, slowly and obviously, making a show of sizing him up. Then, as if to put the last nail in the coffin, he returned his attention to Alierah, completely ignoring the boy. "This is what's caught your attention? Not really much, don't you think?"

Alierah wanted to shout "fuck you Jude Bennett" from the treetops, and strip naked and paint her body with the words "FUCK YOU" eloquently across her tan skin, but for some unknown reason, the idea fell through. She joyously imagined how a scenario like that would play out, though, and it seemed to be enough to keep her on track. Alierah did, however, introduce Jude to the middle finger of her right hand, knowing that he could see her. He was so sassy. Sometimes she wished that he was gay, so she could have that stereotypically sassy gay friend... But he'd probably fuck a dude if he was hot enough anyway, plus he was already so adorable with that angel bitch. But who was Alierah to judge, when she was a demon bitch herself? Katrina was nice enough, so Alierah didn't give Jude too much shit. Then again, her standards were most likely far different from Jude's. Ali had a habit of wearing down the patience of anyone she victimized, and Jude had a habit of having zero patience. It made him easy to fuck with.
Fucking with people was Alierah's forte. Still making her circle around the newcomer, she listened intently with humor in her eyes. It took everything in the tall woman's power not to erupt rudely with fierce laughter. There was so much she wanted to say, but she held her tongue. If she didn't hold back, then a conversation with this "great and mighty warrior" could last for eternity. Alierah dismissed Jude's looks with a wave, not even slightly interested in him. He was a wet blanket on her resplendent flame. In fact, she was just waiting for him to break their cover because he had to have the last word. Men were senselessly prideful like that, and it didn't look like Garm would have trouble fitting in at all. He even played the part of the fearsome male who had vanquished countless foes. More and more, Alierah was reminded of Guillotine, the only difference she noted being that he was soft toward females and had some sort of brain.
Alierah finally broke, indulging herself in a generous chortle. She doubled over, laughing until tears formed at the corners of her eyes. When she finally calmed down, she slowly moved toward the direction he was facing. "I am no demon," Alierah informed him defiantly. "We are hellhounds, as you are, and this is our territory." She sneered as she finally made her way in front of him, stepping only inches from his face. When she was well positioned, Ali leaned in and revealed herself as the 5'8" built female that she was. "Boo!" she yipped.
The brunette shot her blue eyes at Jude, vexation plaguing her features. "Buzzkill." Alierah brought her gaze back to Garm and took a healthy step back, sizing him up and answering Jude's condescending inquiry. "He is adorable. He reminds me of a younger, smarter Guillotine. Do you not see it? He is all bark and no bite. I think I will call him Growly!" She rested a hand on her chin, blue eyes narrowing in contemplation. Alierah addressed Garm directly, her voice becoming more gentle and seductive. "There is no need for such hostility, cutie. Just tell me where you came from, you big bad wolf," Ali said. She ran a loose hand down his arm, peeking at him from below her bangs. Alierah did what she did best, and tested her limits with the new male. She could feel Jude's eyes on the back of her neck and consequentially felt the need to add for Garm's sake, "Don't pay him any mind. I'm more fun to play with," while tacking a wink flirty grin onto the coattails of her sentence. A night of madness it truly had become.

Where was this woman? It sounded like she was so close to him yet he couldn't see her. Something was not right here and Garm did not like it. His inner beast did not like it either. Not being able to see what he was facing put him at a great disadvantage. It didn't matter that his would be opponent was female. Garm might've been raised to be respectful to the opposite sex he was not blind to their potential. Human women on average might be weaker than their male counterparts but in the animal world that wasn't always the case. Females could be fierce, maybe even fiercer than males depending on the breed. They were nothing to take lightly. This one who had yet to show her face could have any number of tricks up her sleeve to bring him down. She was not to be taken lightly, especially if she was a demon.
Though he couldn't see what he was up against he wasn't completely blind to her location. His other senses and even his minions could detect that she was closer than she appeared. He could hear her footsteps, he could follow the sound of her voice, and like his devas he could smell her around him. His eyes were the thing that were deceiving him. Once he realized that he ignored them. He just needed time to pinpoint where she was so he kept talking. His plan to distract her long enough to find out her position worked better than he hoped, but not quite in the way that he had expected. Why in all that was unholy was this female laughing? His threat was not meant to be a joke. Though he wasn't going to put a lot of effort into fulfilling it completely. The devas had never developed the taste for blood and he didn't want to force them to drink the blood of his enemies in case it might make them ill. But still, the sentiment was still there.
Her laughter was unexpected but it was enough to give her away. Garm's gaze fell right where she was but he still couldn't see her. She must be invisible. That was the only possible answer to why he couldn't see her. She was far too close to him to be able to hide. She was standing right in front of him yet his eyes couldn't see her. “Only the brave or the foolish would laughing the face of danger. I wonder which one you fall under.” Garm took a few slow steps in the female's direction as he spoke. It would be an easy thing for him to strike now while he had the chance but he wouldn't do so yet. For all this woman's bolstering she had yet to strike him. She might not be so much of a threat as he initially thought until she proved herself he would re frame himself from striking her.
It took her a moment to stop laughing but when she did she finally answered some of his questions. She still didn't show her face but she did reveal her true nature. This woman was no demon but a hellhound like him. Hearing what she said caught him by surprise, so much so that he couldn't keep his usual intimidating demeanor from dropping in an instant. He had to hand it to her, it took a lot to break his facade even for just a moment and what she said was shocking enough to do so. Was it true? Had he found one of his own kind? This news was almost too good to believe. He might have denied it if his deva's didn't squeak in agreement. They could smell the truth of her words on her and so could he.
Wait...she said 'we are hellhounds', did that mean she wasn't the only one here with him? It was then that he heard the other hound. Garm turned to glare at the newcomer. “I will not be silenced by you, fool.” Garm snarled back before his attention was forced back on the female. Though he and his minions knew where she was that didn't stop her from being able to startle most of them. Most of the devas burrowed themselves back in their hiding spot at the woman's shot, even Garm flinched for a second. Shiva was the only one that stayed still, looking and sniffing the air around her curiously. Garm watched as the woman who finally revealed herself chasitised her companion and started to observe him. She must be the pack leader judging from the way she treated the other hound and the confidence she exuded in his presence. She would be the one he would have to worry about after all.
“A-adorable?!” Garm was completely taken by surprise yet again by the woman's words. Never in his life had Garm ever been called adorable. What was wrong with this woman? Did she not see how frightening he was? Most mortals coward in fear of his presence. The very air around him had always held a hint of danger around it that even some animals took badly to until he could prove himself as harmless. Perhaps that wasn't a problem for another hellhound but still he was far from being adorable. “I am not adorable!” The beast snorted when she declared him to be harmless. “I have said this before I am only a threat to those who are my enemies. I have yet to determine if you are my enemy.” Garm glanced down at the small white hamster who still had his head poking out of his hiding spot. “Shiva has deemed you harmless for now so I will not harm you. But be warned when I do bite I bite hard you might not survive if I decide to not hold back.”
No matter how threatening he tried to be the female hound still teased him. Garm was less than amused by her new nickname for him. “Growly is a poor title for a being like myself. Don't call me that.” he continued to growl until she started acting strangely around him. Garm could feel his face growing hot when she started calling him cute again. He tried his best to hide his shame by pulling his scarf up to cover his face more before she could notice it and looked away. “I am not cute.” he grumbled in response. This woman was hard to deal with but he was not going to give up just because she was able to fluster him for a moment. Trying his best to ignore he advances Garm focused his attention on her question. “I've come from a far in search of a place of my own. I didn't know that there was a pack settled into this area. I thought our kind were rare enough that I wouldn't find any hounds here. I was wrong.”
Garm gave a quick shrug when the female told him not to both with her packmate. “Pay who any mind? I see no one else of importance here.” he spoke those words loud enough for the other male to hear. Garm was no fool, he knew the other hound was ignoring him so he would give the fool a taste of his own medicine. The young beast gathered up the will to look the female in the eye once more. “I have no intentions of leaving this city yet but you need not worry about my presence. I have no intentions of stealing your pack from you or taking up more space than I need. But I will not let you or your underlings drive me out. We can come to a peaceful resolution if you desire it...before we negotiate I would like to know who I am addressing.”

Well, one thing he'd admit was that this kid had guts. That, or he just didn't know how to filter out half of the words that left his mouth. Or, even, he was terrible at acknowledging the actual threat in the air around him. Alierah likely wouldn't attack... not if she wasn't provoked. Jude couldn't say the same for himself. He'd been working long and hard at keeping himself in check, but sometimes these people came around that were more a nuisance than anything else, and this guy wasn't doing the greatest job of making a great first impression so far. Silence would be an insurmountable relief to the headache Garm brought with him. Alierah's response to the question he'd asked made Jude let out a sharp bark of laughter, however, drawing his thoughts down a different path as his eyes returned to the pup. Oh, and a pup he was. His youth was horribly apparent, visible in the lingering stretch of his limbs. The scent that accompanied him—beneath that layer of rodent on his person—spoke of a spring chicken. Certainly he was all bark and no bite, not really worth a bad strike on his record, and as far as his comparison to Guillotine went... "Oh, as if that's difficult to pull off. The head of a pin has more intelligence in it than his thick skull does."
Caught somewhere between amused and irked about all of this, the hound pushed himself back up onto all four feet, arcing around Garm while he and Alierah shared a few exchanges. He could hear how she was teasing him, the flirty tones of her voice too sickly sweet for Jude to desire paying much mind towards. The lumps where Garm's rodent friends were had an uncomfortable placement right up beneath the fabric around his neck, and they quickly captured his attention instead, pulling his gaze up towards the folds of his scarf, which hid his rather delicate neck just beneath. His fur prickled where they'd find themselves should they be on his own body, and he quickly shook the thought away, uncomfortable with anything smaller than his own children crawling around on him like he was some sort of jungle gym. Especially with those pokey little feet... yeah, no thanks. If he could, he'd be wearing an uncomfortable grimace right now, but his snout did little to show his aversion towards the tiny creatures and Garm's strange affinity for them. His eyes, however, told the story. Not that he planned to let Garm close enough to see. Alierah might, as he was coming up upon her now, having finished his roundabout journey around the young hound.
He'd been ignoring most of his whining, but as he stepped to Alierah's side and resumed taking a seat, he noticed with definite amusement now that Garm was trying to reciprocate. He went about it a bit more childishly, if you were to ask Jude, but the entire thing as a whole was childish. His own part in it included.

Alierah shrugged. Jude certainly had a point. While being smarter than Guillotine was truly no feat, it still meant that he wouldn't be the cause of... Unnecessary issues. Ali's fists clenched the more that she thought, while her eyes narrowed the more that Garm spoke. Her exterior hardened; she was analyzing him, scrutinizing every word that he came out of his clearly practiced mouth and nitpicking all of the finesse details to his appearance. He wasn't too up to date with the latest summer fashion, in fact, he looked fairly peculiar, but Alierah wasn't one to judge. It was almost assured that the built female would dress inadequately for any time of the year but summer. Ali had a knack for fashion, but she clung more to the skimpy end of the spectrum. The woman of course owned bounties to die for in fall and winter attire, but when she had the body she did, and superhuman temperature regulation, things got a little more superficial. So in turn, she brushed her bangs back, giving her head a little tilt to display how deeply engrossed she was.
Where Alierah would have normally interjected, she left things alone and relaxed her tight fists, the numb bite in her hands going unnoticed. Her ordinarily aligned emotions were still relatively unaligned, and it made Alierah more dangerous than she would be otherwise. There was still hell to pay for what had been done to the five loves of her life and Akeelah, and justly so, her fuse was much easier to blow. Drawing in a deep inhale to calm herself, she tried fiercely to avert her anger from Jude. Undoubtedly, the annoying male had already sensed Ali's unaccountable enmity, as he was too goddmaned observant for his own good, but she wasn't about to let him dissect her the way she had Garm. Fuck that, she internalized. Alierah didn't even know what had made her so angry in the first place. Perhaps she had dwelled on the thought of Guillotine too long, whelming herself in how fucking stupid he was, or maybe it was just the thought of having to deal with another one of him. Regardless, she precluded wasting anymore cogitation on him.
The parts where Garm had rambled in description of how fearsome he was, how threatening he thought his haphazard bluff had been, and the way he so assuredly affronted her companion had really displeased her. She exhaled, though, and brought her attention to his hamsters once more. She couldn't tell how she felt about them just yet, so she turned an equivocal eye to Jude to gauge his reaction. Alierah then learned that Jude was a little bitch, and she gave him a look that narrated her thoughts of You're a little bitch, before actually conveying through mind telepathy that, "You're a little bitch, Jude". Ali gave her pal a condescending pat before finally acknowledging Garm, her irises and pupils portraying an unsettling white while her voice was an offbeat tone of allure. "It's alright, mistakes happen. There are no resolutions to acquire." Alierah stretched and clenched the muscles in her hands, the only sign that alluded to her wavering frustration.
"My name is Alierah. My underling, " -- the girl venomously emphasized the word to ensure that Garm would detect her distaste for his insolence toward Jude -- "You'll just have to ask yourself." She charmed the young male with a tepid smile, taking a step away from the duo to further badger Garm into acknowledging Jude. Something in Alierah wanted to take this half-hound in, to make sure he didn't turn out to be as pathetic as Guillotine, and to raise him to his full potential. Afterall, he was new to this place and wreaked of uncertainty. Alierah reset her lax position to poise herself according to the dominance she asserted over him; the brunette erected her figure, affirming that she would not take bullshit from a sniveling boy. She had no intentions of fighting him, in fact she desired the opposite, for her curiosity was claiming the best of her, but Ali felt inclined to smack him with a reminder. Her voice and demeanor were still calm, but there was a sharpness to the inflections of her indication that wouldn't go amiss. "Remember whose territory you are standing on, pup."

How would this fearsome hellhound deal with this mess? Garm had to admit he found this whole situation interesting. He wasn't too pleased with the female hound's new nicknames for him, or her uncomfortably flirtatious tone but he still found this encounter interesting. For the first time in his life he had met someone that was not afraid of him. For as long as Garm could remember he had always been treated as a danger. All the children his age were too afraid to go near him, even their parents shied away from his presence. Besides his mother, who had grown accustomed to his menacing aura, and most animals who were more inclined to give him a chance than any human would, no one would approach him. Now with his mother gone he had thought there would be no one in the world that would dare to come close to him ever again. He was alone now, and he always would be. He had accepted that fact some time ago.
And yet, here he was with two other hellhounds that weren't afraid of him. Sure the female was making him feel...uncomfortable (as much as he loathed to admit it), and the male...well...he didn't think all that much about the male one. But they had given him something he never really had before, social interaction. The fact that they were hellhounds too made him feel a strange sense of kinship with them. But that feeling would last long. They might be the only beings so far that were unafraid of him but he couldn't be around them. He wasn't like them. Not because he might be stronger than they were, but because of his fate. Garm knew the event that made him realize his full potential would happen again if he didn't do something. If other demons would come to try and enslave him and others like him than he would fight. He wanted to become the strongest hellhound in existence so he could slay all those that thought hellhounds were their personal tools so he and all the hounds left in the human world, and even in hell would never be slaves again. But to do that he had to train, he had to put his life on the line in order to obtain it. This time there would be no other sacrifices.
If this woman wanted him to join her pack she and all of those under he care would die. That was assuming that this was indeed something that she wanted. Garm was still trying to figure that out. It was clear after awhile that this female was not looking for a fight, while she insisted on insulting him her tone was too light and playful to be malicious. Shiva confirmed for him too that she wasn't any threat. So she wasn't a threat to him, she wasn't trying to chase him off her territory, then what did she want from him? He paid close attention to the female as they spoke, all the while trying to ignore the other male hound's presence even when he started circling around him. He did not have high expectations that the male would do anything to him. He wasn't worth his time dealing with, though Vishnu kept a close eye on him once the other hound was creeping behind his back just in case. There wasn't much to say about the conversation they were having, besides the woman's teasing there was a lot of references being made about him and someone called Guillotine.
“I do not know this Guillotine of whom you speak, but he sounds like a fool.” Garm did not like being compared to a fool. It annoyed him to be lumped in with one. Garm wasn't the only one annoyed with those comparisons it seemed. The receptive young hound could sense a change in the female the more they talked about this Guillotine. The change in her attitude was so sudden Garm didn't have the time to react to it. Eventually the female gave him her name, but as she addressed the other hound she made it clear that she wasn't pleased with the way Garm treated him. Just what was Alierah trying to pull? It was not his fault the fool she associated with had acted so insolent with him. Garm was only giving her underling a taste of his own medicine. He had no intentions of apologizing unless the fool asked for his forgiveness. That was never going to happen. For a moment Garm allowed his gaze to fall on the male. The silence laid heavily in the air before he gave a little hmph and looked away. “I take little interest in those not worthy of my time.” He was playing a dangerous game and he knew it. But he didn't really care. Danger was his life now so he was used to it.
Garm turned his steely gaze towards Alierah, he could see the rage laying beneath the surface of those ghostly white eyes but the determination in his own gaze didn't faulter. He wanted to at least give her some respect as he had promised. As she had said, she had claimed this area as her own. She and her pack had been here before him. But he would not bow down to another. “This might be your territory but I am not one of your packmates. If you don't want to see me again out of respect I will stay out of your path until I can afford to leave for good. But I will not follow your orders and you can not make me.” At those words the four devas of destruction quickly scurried out of their hiding spots and in flash leapt from their master to the branches of a nearby tree. Garm's minions were smart enough to know when it was best to flee, they were trained to value their lives above his own. When they sensed that their master was preparing for a potential fight they knew to leave before he gave them the order.
