And just then, a group of particularly rowdy humans wreaking heavily of alcohol, cigarette smoke, and marijuana staggered near, paying little attention to where they were going, only that they were unknowingly approaching an Inversa Lupin and an Angel.

“It's nice to meet you Kazuko. My name is Sariel.” The angel replied, finally indulging his name. It was only fair since the wolf had given hers. Sariel didn't say much else as Kazuko talked. He paid close attention to the creature's tale. How tragic. Was this the outcome of sin that plagued the world? The father of all creation had put so much love and care in the things he created. When he created mankind he thought them special enough to give them domain over every thing else in the world he created. He had done so because he had trusted them to take care of all the things under them. Man was suppose to care for creatures like Kazuko but their sin instead made them do things like this. Sariel had a basic understanding of the dark nature of mankind, he probably had a better understanding in the days he had all of his memories but seeing the results of it was another story.
“I am sorry that this happened to you child.” Sariel said. “There is no need to apologize. You are not the first creature to fear the sight of me. Plenty of other creatures I have come across have fled and now I have a better understanding why that has happened.” Sin was a horrible thing, it did more than just taint the descendants of Adam and Eve but it made all of creation suffer as a result. “I wish that I could do something to undo what has been done to you but as I am now I cannot. That doesn't mean hope is lost. I don't know what my function is yet, I know my father normally concerns himself with man but perhaps he has led me to you today to help you. I will see what I can to learn more about the nature of the magic around you and find some way to fix it.”
Sariel might have said more if he didn't hear some commotion in the distance. It wasn't too hard to figure out what was going on. He could hear the boisterous laughter of humans approaching. Sariel stood up and stepped in front of Kazuko as the humans stumbled over in their direction. Now that he knew the wolf's story he understood that she was nervous when dealing with them. It took a moment for the four strangers to finally realize that they had company. “Wow, what the fuck do we have here?” The one closest to Sariel spoke to his friends when they finally came in view. It was pretty obvious that the group were not in the right state of mind. Even from this distance Sariel could smell the thick scent of alcohol and smoke. The speaker regarded Sariel for a moment before his gaze fell upon Kazuko.“Sup bro, you trying to get lucky with your girl in the woods?”
“Damn dude, that chick is too hot for this loser.” one of the other men whistled as the looked at the wolf girl. The first one who spoke gave a sickening grin in agreement. His focus turned squarely on Kauzko.
“He's right, you are way too cute to be with this dude. Why don't you hang out with us for awhile.” The man tried to reach out for Kazuko but Sariel grabbed his wrist before he could touch her.
“Leave the lady alone and go back where you came from with your friends.” Sariel spoke softly but clear enough for everyone to hear. The angel wasn't a violent man but he wasn't above using brute force if necessary. Right now he didn't like where this was going, but he was willing to give the humans a pass if they could agree to leave without a fuss. But would they take it?

"It still wasn't right for me to snap like that, fear is something I deal with a lot and it always happens when I'm around someone human or seemingly human. I just can't trust someone I don't know anymore," Kazuko said, calming herself down enough to stop her tears. "It's not your fault that this magic can't be removed, to be honest I knew already that it was dangerous enough to put in place so don't worry about that."
Before anything else could be said Kazuko caught the smell of humans who were intoxicated. Her nose wrinkled on instinct and she took a couple steps back behind Sariel. Her expression turned guarded and fear filled her eyes.
"S-stay away from me!" She said, yanking her arm away from the man's grip. "G-go away."
With that Kazuko ran off into the nearby woods to shift.
"Why would we listen to you?" One of the drunks asked once Kazuko was gone.
The leader of the drunks stepped forward toward Sariel. He didn't look happy that Kazuko had run off. His eyes showed his displeasure and he took it out by swinging at Sariel.
She quickly ran back to the clearing as quickly as she could as a wolf but stopped just behind Sariel as she noticed the scene in front of her. She mentally laughed because she knew Sariel wasn't as weak as he seemed, after all he had pinned her down.

A tall figure, appearing out of seemingly nowhere, gripped the drunken punch thrower's shoulder tightly as he swung at the angel. "Hey hey hey... chill a sec. All the dude asked for was for you and your ugly ass friends to take a dive off a bridge. Doesn't seem too much to ask for from those with an IQ such as yours." He offered a lazy yet cheerful smile, which probably gave at least one of the men a chill up their spine.

Perched precariously on a covert branch among the opulent trees, Katrina surveyed the scene before her. She watched the angel in most particular, her computerized brain directly recognizing him to be Sariel. The heavenbeast knew all angels and other heavenbeasts from their faces alone, having been created with the sort of networking needed to do so. Even angels created after the era in which she fell to this Earth were processed just as quickly. It was just the sort of thing Katrina was forged to do. And most of the time, she knew their purpose simply by listening to the Angel dialogue that was spoken via mind-connection from all about... But listening to the Angels speak had grown much harder. Katrina had fallen in the time of the second world war, and fallen beings didn't get the direct luxury of listening in anymore.
But it was alright, for she could still recognize her companions, and even though she was fallen, they could recognize her intentions. Katrina meant nothing but the best of intentions, desiring solely to carry out the orders she couldn't carry out for Sarine. And, in this case, Katrina was a white raven that watched the Angel she felt inclined to secure. She noted his struggle with the Inversa Lupin, and distinguished how new he must have been to Earth. She could help him! Swooping down from the branch, Katrina glided the small distance to Sariel, circling above the large group of people before lounging on his shoulder. With her came an aura of calm that would empower Sariel's pre-existing aura, hoping to incapacitate the hostility in the air. She spoke to the Angel with her God-given telepathy, eyeing the situation. "I am Katrina, Heavenbeast to the late Angel titled Sarine. I have come to fulfill my obligation to assist Angels that I meet. In your case, it seems that you need help dealing with human social construct..." Katrina snickered amicably into Sariel's mind. She came across Angels with no social direction all of the time.
Katrina ruffled her feathers nervously at the sudden onset of the Veil -- she knew what he was for she had met practically everything there is to meet. Some had came to Katrina with benevolence in mind, whereas others were... Quite hostile. She telepathically whispered her concerns to Sariel. "You are dealing with four humans, an Inversa Lupin, and a Veil. Tread carefully, friend. If you wish, I can lead the humans elsewhere without much interference." Still Katrina kept a mistrusting eye on the Veil, not yet able to identify his intentions. She further ruffled her feathers, then brought her gaze to the Inversa Lupin, who was poised for battle. She hoped violence wouldn't be necessary, and sat nervously awaiting Sariel's direction.

It was a shame that the angel couldn't do more for this unfortunate creature. There was nothing stopping him from trying to undo the spell cast on her, but the risks involved with tapping into something that he had little understanding of were far too great for him to try. He would not risk the life of any of god's creations so carelessly. He would have to see what he could do about Kazuko's enchantment later. Things seemed to settle down between the two now that Kazuko was talking with him. She was less hostile though still wary of him but she hadn't run. Sariel still had a ways to go with his communication skills but he had finally made her see him as something other than a threat. Now that he thought about it, this was the first time he had held any conversation this long since he had woken up on earth. This was quite the accomplishment, but one that he didn't have much time to be proud of.
Just when things seemed to be going well some unexpected guest had shown up. If Sariel had been by himself he would have had no problem dealing with this group of drunken humans, but with Kazuko so close by, and so wary of the human race, he couldn't be as laid back as he would have been. When the group approached them Sariel stood between them and the wolf girl. That didn't stop one of them from bothering the girl. While Sariel was quick to stop the human from touching her, Kazuko still panicked. Before he knew it she vanished. The angel had no idea if she had fled out of fear, or if she did so so she would be free to change into her wolf form to fight. Still he had to try and settle things peacefully. He gave them a choice, they could leave or continue their foolish actions.
“Why would we listen to you?” That was their response.
“Father forgive me for what I must do.” Sariel muttered a short pray as he waited for the human's next move. Just as the human pulled his arm back to deliver his first blow a strange man suddenly appeared. The humans jumped in surprise by the man's sudden appearance. The angel's assailant muttered a curse while the others looked terrified. Sariel didn't say anything. His dark eyes watched the newcomer carefully. He could see something that the others could not. Darkness. A demon perhaps? Sariel had yet to meet a demon in this world, but something told him that what he was faced with now was not quite the same thing as his natural enemy. All the same he wasn't sure he liked this man's presence. Just as the dark being emerged a white raven appeared on his shoulder. It was clear to him that this bird was no ordinary creature. The moment it touched him he could feel its power embrace his own aura, amplifying its effect, making him emit a stronger calming aura to help drown out the hostility coming from the humans.
It was then that he heard the creature's voice in his mind. Katrina. Thank you for your assistance. Sariel echoed his thoughts back into her mind. Sariel wasn't sure if he had ever met Katrina in the past but her presence was welcomed anyway. Yes, I am rather...lacking in that particular area. But right now what I could use help with is to get rid of the humans. Safely. Sariel glanced at the dark being before them. He had no idea how much of a threat he was yet and he didn't want to find out with so many vulnerable people around him. Katrina spoke to him once more, telling him what he was dealing with. The Inversa Lupin, that must be what Kazuko's breed was called now...so the dark stranger must be the Veil then. The Lupin is not a threat. The Veil may be another story. I can protect the Lupin if necessary but I cannot protect everyone else if the Veil is a really a threat. Take care of the humans for now.
Sariel turned his attention back at the humans who were looking between the four supernaturals before them with confusion and concern. "It is not too late for you to leave. I must insist on this request. No good will come of you staying here to fight."

Kazuko started growling again, despite the calming aura around her, simply because she was not used to having so many people around her. The growling wasn't hostile really, just product of discomfort. The humans would take it as otherwise though.
The leader of the group locked eyes with the purple eyed white wolf and his eyes showed nothing but fear. It was pretty apparent to the wolf that he would run just from being faced with her.
"Come on guys lets get out of here!" The leader said, choosing wisely despite being drunk, he just needed to be faced with a wolf.
Kazuko huffed and looked at the other supernaturals, still quietly growling but standing down. She didn't want to attack, it was just one person was enough to put her on edge, he got her to calm down but another person was pushing her closer to the edge again. She was accepting of the lingering aura of calm but she just couldn't shake her unease.

The Veil, after watching the drunken party run off, kept the lazy grin on his face, and looked around at all of the others. Finally locked onto the Angel's face, he said, "So, what's the deal with you and the weird animals?". He glanced at the wolf and bird momentarily, then turned back to him. "You all are kinda givin' me the chills. Something about ya is just off. Mostly you." He nodded to the Angel. "Like looking into the sun for too long...." After waiting a moment, he pulled a pair of sunglasses from a pocket, donning them as smoothly as possible.

[googlefont="Lobster Two:400"] ♥ STORM [attr="class","thetitlebar"]
she was precious like a flower, she grew wild but innocent a perfect prayer in a desperate hour; she was everything beautiful and different | [attr="class","ccontainer"] [attr="class","imagee"] Icy eyes of irritation flickered at Kazuko, but quickly disintegrated to gratefulness. Katrina had wanted to be the one to drive them away, but she supposed she was content that they hadn't harmed anybody. If a raven could narrow its eyes, the girl on Sariel's shoulder executed just that. While the men had run, they forsook their inebriating bottles to the grasses, a residue of alcohol in their wake. It would have been, in Kat's mind, appropriate to obligate these men to their garbage should she be alone. She wasn't right now, and this was something Katrina considered in her best interest to remember. Sariel was in charge. If he asked her to compel the foursome to clean after themselves, she certainly intended to do so. She would not until then, and felt ice prickle through her veins that she had not been able to fulfill his first order. The heavenbeast, in lieu of driving out the gentleman, cast an aura their way that perpetuated further distress. It was a close second, and Katrina would have to settle. "The Inversa Lupin has taken care of the humans. I am sorry," Katrina grimaced subjectively. Precedent to the thought she had planned to share with Sariel next, the Veil spoke and set her on edge. Katrina stiffened, discordance slithering up her avian spine at his words. Had he insulted her? Or worse, Sariel? There were few conditions in which the woman would take offense -- she was an easygoing gal. Insults to her person were hovering just above the bottom of the list. The things at the highest were slanders and derision toward Jude and her children. A close second was disrespect for angels. Before Katrina found the strength in her tiny feathered body to ignore the harmless meaning behind the Veil's words, she discovered herself swooping down from Sariel's shoulder and, in a bright beam of holy light, standing barefoot on the grassy field. Her feet were not the end of the bareness; Katrina's well-proportioned body flaunted shamelessly all that God had offered her. There was no such thing as clothing between forms, and animals had no reason for them to begin with. What, Kat wondered, was so awful about the most natural outfit any of God's creations could exhibit? Not a damn thing. Small fists balled, the 5'2" well-endowed blonde gave Abraxas a stern scowl. "What's so strange about an angel, newcomer? You aren't of this world yourself," Katrina spat. "Sariel is an Angel of the Lord. I am his Holy companion. Are you friend or foe? And," Stepping backward to Sariel's side, she addressed both the wolf and the Veil. "What are your names?" Katrina quickly lost all negative emotions. She wasn't the type to dwell on the adverse, and it was evident in the gentleness to her voice that the small blonde wasn't one to get loud, either. She extended a warm smile to the two non-humans, bringing her eyes to Sariel for direction. She would do as he advised, and advise him as he needed. Sariel Kazuko Abraxas |

There were far too many people in this clearing now. Having to deal with the drunk humans on his own while trying to protect the wolf wasn't much of a challenge but it was still a bit of a handful. Now that this dark creature had appeared things were about to get even messier. The chance of a fight occurring now was high. Violence wasn't his main concern though, what made Sariel worry was the safety of most of the parties involved here. It didn't matter much to him if the humans tried to harm him. He was stronger than they were and could easily fend them off, all while making sure nothing happened to Kazuko. But he would have a harder time letting the humans go on unscathed if the dark one tried anything. If everyone was to survive he would need help. His holy father above must have been watching over him because something did come to his aid in the form of a white raven. A heaven beast. Though Sariel's memories of his time in heaven still eluded him he recognized what Katrina was before she told him. When she offered her assistance he knew that he could trust her.
In the end Katrina was not needed to lure the humans away. Just when Sariel gave the heaven beast the go ahead to take care of the mortals Kazuko's presence scared them off. Sariel watched them go, leaving most of their belongings in their wake. That probably was not what Katrina had in mind but at least there were less beings for him to protect if he had to. It's okay friend, the humans are safe for the time being and that is all that matters. he reassured her. Now there was only the Veil to deal with. Now with the humans gone the angel focused his attention on the possible threat before him. So far the Veil had not attacked anyone which was a good sign, but he certainly wasn't all that nice. Insults weren't something new to Sariel. They did not bother him in the least, but the Veil's rudeness had set his new companion off. Sariel watched Katrina take on her human form and chastise the Veil. He didn't try to stop her, confident that she knew where to draw the line when needed.
“As she has said, I am an angel. My companion here is Katrina, a heaven beast. She is different from me but we are made from the same essence.” Sariel nodded in Katrina's direction before turning his gaze to Kazuko. “The wolf is another friend of mine. She might not be holy in nature but she is still one of god's creations. I am sworn to protect her if she is threatened.” Sariel would let the Veil take those words however he interpreted them as he walked over to the mess that the humans had left behind. The angel's expression had not changed though his eyes did reflect a spark of disgust at the trash left behind. Humans could be so thoughtless at times. Sariel knelt down by the discarded bottles. He picked up one of the half empty bottles, holding the the top of it between his thumb and index finger, like one might hold an unsavory item in their grip. He eyed the bottle for a moment, wondering why humans liked to drink this kind of poison before setting it upright on the ground before him.
“As for why you have 'the chills' I am not certain. I don't feel things the same way most creatures of the earth do. Changes in the temperature do not effect me that much, but I can tell by the season, time of day, lack of frost, rain, or wind that its not cold.” Sariel picked up the other bottles around him in a similar fashion placing them side by side in a neat little row. There were too many bottles for him to carry off to throw away on his own. Oh well. “If you aren't cold you must be mistaking your chills for unease. It is not uncommon for dark creatures and demons to feel uneasy around holy entities or anything that holds holy powers. We are your natural enemies. That is more likely to be what you are feeling now.” Sariel touched the first bottle he picked up, drawing up a sliver of his power to make the bottle turn to dust. It was the easiest solution he could think of to cleaning up the clearing that he could think of so he stuck with it. He touched each bottle one at a time, turning each one into dust.
“This feeling might be fair for you to have. I am unsure of my function on this earth. I do know how to fight so I might have been sent here to eliminate things like you.” Sariel turned his steely gaze on the Veil as he considered what he should do. Was he a solider? He didn't know. Sariel didn't know what his job was back in heaven, but he knew he was sure he wasn't an archangel or a seraph. Those angels were capable of combat. That didn't make the chances that he was a warrior any less likely of course but it did leave the chances that he could have some other purpose open. “I guess until I know for certain why I am here I will refrain from unnecessary battles. Katrina said that not all Veil's are openly hostile. If you are no threat to humans or any of those present here I will not harm you.”

Kazuko was perfect with the humans leaving, there were still too many people in the clearing for her taste but she could understand that not everyone was scared of a simple wolf. After seeing the bird change back to human form without worrying about cloths she just shifted, not worrying about it either for the first time in a while in human form.
"I would stay in wolf form but it would be hard to communicate then. My name is Kazuko, Sariel knows my story more or less and I would prefer not to have to repeat it. Just know that I was originally just a wolf and I still have those instincts and everything," Kazuko said, warning in her guarded voice.
Not that she wanted to be openly hostile but she did want to give them a fair warning. She wasn’t one to start a fight but she was one who would fight to protect herself. To say the least she just wanted to give them the warning, the benefit of knowing, if they were going to attack.
“What’s your name? I know Sariel’s, and Katrina’s now, but what is your name strange human?” Kazuko asked after taking a deep breath to calm her nerves.

Abraxas choked, pulling his hood over his eyes when he noticed the naked women in front of him. "Woah... where the hell did you two come from? And what the hell are you talking about? Angels, Heaven Beasts, Veil? I have no clue at all what you are talking about. All I was sayin' was that you give off a weird vibe. Look, all I came here to do was help the weird guy out, that's it, I have no problem with your religious cult magic stuff." There was nothing weirder than this. This is what happens when you poke your nose into other peoples business. Bad luck, that's what happens. When the Inversa Lupin asked for his name, he gave a quick and simple answer. "Why do you need to know? I'm sure you have some way to find out anyway, what with the crazy magic mojo." Well, he shouldn't really be talking, he just used his innate abilities to appear behind a group of large men, in front of one guy and his pets, who.... are not exactly pets... more.... other people with strange abilities. Ok, so maybe running away isn't the best idea, considering how he could learn about what/who he was.
