Hair Color:
Casey's hair is blond, but more on the dirtied side than bright or bleached. She doesn't want to automatically be identified as just a "blonde", though it seems to happen rather often, and probably fits in many circumstances. Hair Style:
Her hair is long, extending to just below her shoulder blades, and it is wavy, sometimes bounding up into curls when she hasn't washed it in a day or two. Mostly of the time, she keeps it up in a ponytail, although lately she's become a bit more comfortable letting it down. Eye Color:
Hazel, and no, that does not mean brown, not in terms of eye color. Her eyes shift from among the colors of gray, green, and blue. Height:
5’7”, though her sisters have argued she's an inch shorter. Weight:
141lb, average for a girl of her height. Build:
Healthy would be a good way to describe her. She has no undesired fat, but she isn't a toothpick. She's got some meat on her bones, lending her a fairly nice set of curves. Scar(s):
She has a small one on her left side from being bitten by a horse, and then a couple small ones here and there, most of the sources of which remain unknown to her. Birthmark(s):
There is only a very small circular one, on the back of her lower left leg. Tattoo(s):
Heck no! Piercing(s):
Her sisters and friends have been trying to get her to pierce her ears since, well, since they've met, and she's always going to say no. Clothing:
Casey prefers to wear clothes that are comfortable rather than clothes that are in style. Mostly, this consists of baggy jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes. In fact, you’ll probably never see her in anything but, unless you’re just lucky. She does enjoy dressing up, though she would never tell anyone. However, this is only when she feels it is appropriate, and it she has someone she wishes to look good for, which is rare, since she has only recently just met her first boyfriend. - She can only take in so much energy before she just passes out. She and heat don’t do well together.
- She was always naturally cold-natured. Now, when she loses energy, she gets even colder, to the point of shaking if she is not in a very warm environment.

Three Important Things About Your Character and/or Its Past:- Casey went to a boarding school during high school, and while there, she garnered the nickname Mama Casey because of her need to watch over and care for those within her suite (in a dormitory) and others, making sure they did their homework, didn’t do anything stupid, got their rooms cleaned, and the like.
- Casey has been interested in only one guy before the rift, excluding crushes, because she doesn’t pursue crushes in the least. They probably count less as crushes, though, and instead are more like guys who just look physically appealing. Though more interested than usual in this guy, she, again, didn’t pursue any sort of relationship. To this day, she has not dated anyone.
- Not long ago, when she and her friends accidentally discovered the barrier, she had been scared to death. Her new abilities, which appeared to manifest out of nowhere, began to mess things up. She would accidentally zap something, shock someone, or, well, just glow or something. Really? Radiate light? It was a scary concept at first, and she had a whole lot of trouble getting control over it. She still doesn’t understand how a lot of it works. She just goes by what she feels is right. These abilities were hard to keep hidden from her family, but luckily they were mostly never home, and her siblings are all out of the house, officially, one married, and one on her way to being married.
History:
Casey grew up in a Christian home, the last child of three girls. She lived in a rather privileged home, but her parents were strict people, well, mostly. Her father was more so, and so she grew much closer to her mother, who she now considers her mother but also her friend. She was the girl who jumped around as a child, ran up to anyone who caught her fancy, and loved to dress up and wear pretty things. She began collecting Breyer horses when she was very young, and to this day, she still expects one each Christmas. She rode her first horse when she was 5 and helped take care of the family horses until she went to college two years ago.
To her dismay, her parents divorced the year she turned 18, and dealing with her family has been difficult ever since.
Recently, her oldest sister Ashton got engaged to her boyfriend of 4 years, and will soon join her sister Kristin in being part of a marriage.
In order of happenings:- Casey met Trevor in the Maddox Supermarket, and she's found herself a little intrigued and perhaps a bit infatuated with him. He seems to be a very kind but insecure kind of guy, ignorant and forgetful, but she has a feeling he's more than he knows or is willing to tell about.
RP Sample:
She kept hearing all these voices in her head, telling her to let go. Well, she couldn’t! She wouldn’t! All these things were happening so quickly! It was just ridiculous! Only a few days ago, she and her friends had opened some portal! Excuse me, cracked the barrier. What did it matter, anyway? Barrier or portal, it made no difference. Things were still coming into the real world—or what originally appeared as the real world, in her view—and everything just kept getting weirder and weirder. Why couldn’t things be simple again, when the hardest thing she had to worry about was getting a job or studying for a test?
She had to admit, though, that it was all that bad. Magical powers? Strange creatures? This was stuff that at one point she could only dream about! And now they existed! They really existed! Unless, of course, she was just dreaming a very long and realistic dream and no matter how many times she pinched herself she couldn’t wake up from it. It was kind of exciting in its own way. The suspense. The cool things they could all do and how they just seemed so . . . cool. It was one of the few words she could think of to describe them. Well, some of them. Many just needed to go hide in a corner and just stay there for eternity because they scared her so much.
The lights in her dorm room flickered and just blinked out, and the girl moaned in agitation. This was the third time today. Somehow, the lights would eventually come on. Hopefully. She was way into hope by now, since it was really the only thing she had to work with. She put her pen down and leaned back in her chair. She nearly fell backward, not realizing she’d found the edge of the bottom of the chair. Stumbling a little in the chair, she finally got the thing balanced, and she started to just think. So many strange things had been happening. She wasn’t the only one of her friends getting some strange abilities, and these voices in her head weren’t uncommon amongst them at first. She didn’t understand them. They were much more infrequent and random now.
A few minutes passed with her just sitting there in the darkness before the lights flickered back on. She waited only about thirty seconds before picking up her pen and starting writing again, scribbling as furiously as she’d been doing before. She hoped this letter would reach her intended recipient. She’d met him only a day or two after the incident, maybe yesterday. So it may have been a little early for letter-sending, but she was a bit old-fashioned for her age. She’d rather have letters than a text any day, even from her closest friends, though that didn’t mean she didn’t accept texts. She just wouldn’t reply to them very often.
It might be a good idea to go ahead and get a phone I could use for texting, though. Her phone had been acting very strangely as of late, and she knew it wasn’t because of what had happened with the barrier, because it had started acting up long before that. It would only sometimes accept calls, and it would randomly shut down on her. There were also a couple of cracks in it, and she knew those were of her own doing. She just dropped the dang thing too many times. Then again, she’d heard that these phones were having issues, so it wasn’t just her. The pen stopped writing. She looked at the cartridge. No ink left. She got another one, set the other aside, and continued writing.
