Movie Night (Abel)

Izzy was dressed her usual dark jeans and T-shirt as she didn't want to give the impression that anything was going on. It had been nearly a week since her family reunion and she was a little nervous about how tonight was gonna go. She took a deep calming breath as she knocked on the door to his apartment and waited on him to answer.

Abel had been fiddling with his outfit all day, it was just a normal vest, longsleeved shirt, an tie. But still, he was nervous an his other form knew it. Often his body tried to change forms on him, causing the ripping of one of his shirts sadly. In fact, when Izzy knocked on the door his chest puffed out against the fabric as fur had grown there and his ribs pushed a little bit out. Though he manage to get it to revert when he went to the door.

"Hey, welcome." Abel said as he let her in.

It was a simple looking place, kind of small with a couch infront of the TV. Abel gave a nervous chuckle.

"IT's...nothing special but I have a list of movies we can choose from on the table. You can pick which one an stick it in, I'll be getting some food and drink." Abel added as he headed into the kitchen.

"Hi, thanks," Izzy said as she stepped inside.

It was a nice, simple place, she found it cozy and gave a small smile.

"It's great, simple but perfect at the same time," She said, nodding to his comment on picking a movie.

She honestly just picked one at random, hoping it'd end up being something she liked. She sat on the couch after putting the movie in and waited for Abel.

Coming back with some popcorn an water, he set them own on the table and sat down on the couch with her. He gave a kind smile and he tried to think of something to say. Sadly nothing really came to mind as he just sat there.

"Um...s...so....w..whatcha put in?" Abel asked.

"I actually didn't pay attention actually," She said nervously as she reached for the necklace she didn't realize she even put on and started messing with it so her hands had something to do.

As she traced the pawprint charm that was on the necklace she thought about how to bring up the subject of how she felt. She took a deep breath, trying to ready herself for it.

"Abel, I-I need to talk to you about something," She said nervously, she kept running her fingers over the charm on her necklace, when she first came here it was a charm the PIDA gave her to help control her instinct, aka help her to not . With her level of nerves she had instinctively put it on before she came.

Abel gave a chuckle.

"That's fine. I honestly don't think I've watched any of these movies in a long while." Abel said. "So I probably won't even know what the one you picked is about."

In all honesty, Abel always felt too worn out to watch a movie. He always had something on his mind or something to do, so really the TV and DVD cases were just taking up space in his living room. When Izzy said she needed to talk though, he gave her his full attention.

"Everything okay?" Abel asked.

"Yeah, everything's fine," She said as she took a deep breath, it don't really help to calm her down though.

"I-it's just that, w-well, I like you a lot a-and I-I was just wondering if maybe you w-wanted to go out sometime?" She asked, unable to quit stuttering.

God why am I so horrible at this? She thought to herself. She looked at him hopefully, though her cheeks were bright red. She wasn't even going to try to hide her blush this time, there was no point.
