This was not working, he could see that now. Try as he might Loki could not get Gil to warm up at all. He should have known that this whole 'snuggle together for warmth' thing was not going to be enough to improve Guillotine's condition. Not like this whole thing was his idea in the first place. It was Gil who suddenly grabbed him and forced the shifter into his lap. All Loki did was settle down and reluctantly accepted his fate. Loki was used to some cuddling here and there, though most of those moments had been when he was in his feline form. The other times had been with Amalia. A twinge of sadness filled his heart at the thought of his old friend. He missed cuddling up on cold nights with her like he used to. It was nice being next to her, he even playfully flirted with her from time to time while doing so just because he liked how it riled her up. But Amalia was gone, and now he was forced into the same situation he often jokingly put her in with someone else. Only with someone of the same sex, and was anything but a friend.
At least he was doing this to save a life, and thankfully Gil wasn't flirting with him while he was in his lap. Though the nuzzling and touching still made him feel immensely uncomfortable. That couldn't be help, it wasn't every day that two guys were forced to snuggle up to each other. When Loki started to purr from his touch he tried to recover from the situation and stop Gil. It wasn't just to hang onto what little pride he had left, he was trying his best to warm the hellhound out. Guillotine was getting colder and colder by the second, and all Loki's attempts to get him to heat up wasn't working. He did everything short of rubbing up against him, or anything else that no man should ever have to do in his lifetime. It was obvious that it wasn't working. After lightly pressing his hand against Gil's cheek to feel his temperature, and Gil pressing his head against his he knew it was time for a new plan.
Loki instinctively withdrew his hand when Gil started to nuzzle against his touch. He couldn't think about how awkward Gil's action felt, he could only force himself to think about what he needed to do to save Gil's life. The only thing that he could think of was calling for help. With nothing else around to help aid him, and his body heat not being enough to help keep Gil alive, he would have to seek help from someone else. Sadly there was no one in Loki's side that would help. Loki's friends were few, and one was bitter enemies with Gil. That only left Gil's side. As bad as Gil was it was obvious that he had some friends. Loki didn't think twice about asking Gil if there was anyone he could contact for help. He could have asked for Blake for all he cared right now, he just needed someone to help before it was too late.
For a moment Gil didn't say anything, causing the little shifter to worry even more. “Gil?” Loki did his best to keep the worry out of his voice, which came pretty easy to someone who was used to hiding his real feelings. Loki lightly patted Gil's cheek just to help make him concentrate. That got him to wake up long enough to give him a name. “Jesse? Okay.” that had to be some other friend of his that Loki didn't know yet. Hopefully this Jesse guy would know what to do. If anything he would help the other man, or woman out if they needed it. “Just give me your phone, if you have it and I will call them here.” It was either that or he would fish it out for him. Loki was willing to do that if need be, but he didn't need to. Gil was still functional enough to give Loki his phone. “Thank you.” Loki replied as he took the phone out of Gil's hand. Just as Loki grabbed the cellphone something strange happen.
Loki was just about to fish through the contact list for Jesse's name when Gil's voice caught his attention. Loki shifted his gaze up at the hellhound, his wild golden eyes peering into Gil's forest green in confusion. “Gil? What's wrong?” The question was stupid to ask since he already knew what was wrong. But there was something in his gaze that made him feel nervous. It was then that he said a name. “Eh?” Did he just call him Akeelah? Who the hell was that? Before Loki could try to ask Gil about this Akeelah person Guillotine drew in closer to his face. “W-what are you doing?” the boy stammered, his face going red for the millionth time tonight as Gil nuzzled him again. Something was deeply wrong here, while Loki was already uncomfortable with most of Gil's touches this one was different. This was not simply an attempt to steal his warmth but it was actually affectionate. This wasn't like Gil at all. Why was Gil suddenly being so affectionate with him? Loki wasn't sure what to do in that moment, which gave Gil more than enough time to take advantage of him.
Without warning Gil leaned in closer and pressed his lips against his own. Loki froze the moment that he felt Gil's lips against his. Time seemed to stand still in that moment, the shock of it all seemed to paralyze him. He couldn't move, he couldn't scream, he couldn't pull away from him. Despite being a natural flirt that loved to play around with girls, and tease Loki had never kissed anyone before. He had plenty of opportunities to kiss someone but he always avoided it. If he wanted to kiss someone it would be someone that he really cared for. Never in his life did he dream that he would have his first kiss taken from him by a guy that wanted him dead. The kiss was totally unexpected, as well as the passion behind it. It was surprisingly gentle for someone who seemed so vicious all the time. It was something that he never would have expected of Gil. It took a moment for Loki to finally wake up and react. The boy let out a muffled cry against his captor before trying to draw himself away. He wouldn't get far at all doing so, at most he would be able to pull his face away just enough to speak. “S-stop.” he said breathlessly, silently praying to any gods that would listen to his plea that Gil would let him go freely.

Akeelah was warm to the touch, and her lips were as soft as ever. Guillotine missed his Ex dearly. Too bad, it turns out she was never there to begin with. The person sitting before him was Loki. But, to the hellhound this hallucination was all too real. Deep down, he wanted to believe it was real. He wanted to believe, with every fiber of his being, that Akeelah would be by his side in his time of need. He was standing at death’s door, all he had to do now was knock. Guillotine wasn’t one to give up so easily, if he was the male would have been long gone by now. Instead of knocking, Guillotine fought back. An internal struggle was brewing within his chilled body. The male would fight with every ounce of his being, especially now that he had an imaginary Akeelah sitting in his lap. The sight of the woman alone sparked a smile. That smile then lead to a passionate kiss.
When Guillotine’s warm lips pressed against Loki’s the male couldn't help but to continue that weak smile of his. Oh god, if only he had known exactly what he was doing. The male would have offed himself right then and there. When he felt Loki push back against him the male grumbled. Their lips parted and he heard Akeelah tell him to stop. The look of happiness was quickly replaced with sorrow. Could he really go through with this? The memories of their past arguments and fights resurfaced. How could he have been so foolish? Guillotine hurt Akeleah back then, and now those horrid memories crept back into his head. A tears formed at the corner of Gil’s eyes, the warm liquid trailed down his face and dripped onto the ground. “A-Akeelah. I’m sorry.” The hound looked down, feeling a bit ashamed now that he had kissed her. “Please, don’t hate me.”
The hellhound was losing his mind. Emotion was starting to take over and consume his brain. He looked up, his green gaze peered into Loki’s eyes. “I-I love you. I-I didn’t mean to hurt you, Akeelah.” A dizzy spell shook the young hellhound. For a brief moment the room was spinning. Guillotine closed his eyes and attempted to calm down. He leaned his head back against the cool wall and groaned. “I’m sorry…I was just so happy to see you.” The hound started to feel weak. He slouched a but as he leaned against the wall. A weak chuckle then crept from his lips. “Out of all the things to do me in, it just had to be this, eh?” The male attempted to make a joke, one that would fall flat on it’s ass regardless of whether or not Akeelah was actually in front of him. The male gave a pathetic snuffle. A frown soon took over his face. “I don’t know how much longer I can last, Akeelah.I don’t want to leave you. I don't want to leave the pups. “ The male then closed his eyes yet again. “I’m so sorry I've been such a shitty mate…” Little did Guillotine know, he was spilling his guts out to his enemy, not his mate.

What a mess tonight turned out to be for Loki. Loki already knew just how unlucky he was in general. No matter what he did something always happened to mess with his life. Some times it was just minor things, other times it was down right catastrophic. Tonight was definitely not the worse experience he had ever had in his life but it was definitely getting up there around the top of his shitty days list. Maybe he had been a fool to think that he could handle Guillotine on his own. Just running into Gil always led to some kind of trouble for him. Loki knew the worse kind of trouble he could get from Gil was being brutally murdered and eaten by the dangerous brute. A situation like that was something he was prepared for. The boy had upgraded his arsenal since the last time they had fought, and he had been training hard just so he could protect himself the next time they had a stand off. A fight was something he was prepared for even if he was still hesitant to kill someone, even if that someone had no qualms about killing him. But this? How was he suppose to deal with this?
It was bad enough that he had to snuggle up with Guillotine. It was definitely one of his more awkward moments. Loki wasn't no stranger to snuggling, he had done it in the past, mostly when Amalia was still alive and they needed to keep each other warm. He was even fine to some extent being cuddled while in his feline form with someone he was close to. But Gil wasn't Amalia, he wasn't a friend, he wasn't even female. The boy tried to make the best out of the situation anyway. He was only doing this to keep the hellhound warm. As awkward as this was he was doing this to save a life. He was trying to save the life of someone who would probably kill him later down the line, all just to keep some stupid promise, but it was still something right? He would have been able to shake off the embarrassment if Gil didn't kiss him. That kiss had came out of no where. Gil, throughout all of their previous interactions never once showed any romantic interest in him to make the boy worry that something like this could happen. Sure Gil acted like a perverted creep with him, but Loki knew that he was only doing that to get under his skin. It worked too as much as Loki loathed to admit it. But none of it was serious. Certainly not serious enough for him to expect this. The boy froze up when Gil's lips touched his own. He didn't know what to do, he barely had the time to register what was going on. When he finally pulled away the gravity of the situation hit him like a ton of bricks.
He...just lost his first kiss...
To a guy...
To the one guy that wanted to kill him....
There was nothing in the world that could ever cleanse him of the shame this moment brought. He didn't know what to say besides begging Gil to stop, out of fear that the bigger male might lock lips with him again when he resisted. The look on Guillotine's face when Loki pulled back was unsettling. He actually looked hurt by the shifter's actions. What the hell was wrong with this guy? Did he actually have feelings for him or something? How was that even possible? He was a fucking guy! They both were guys! Was it even possible for two guys to like kissing each other? When Gil spoke though he really began to ponder what was going on. There it was, that name again. Just before Gil kissed him he had uttered that name Akeelah. At the time Loki didn't even have much of a chance to wonder why Gil had called him that before Gil did what he did. Now though things were starting to come together.
Did Gil think that he was this Akeelah person? That would explain why the hellhound was calling him that now. It wasn't like he misheard the beast. Loki and Akeelah didn't sound so much a like that he could have misheard Guillotine. The name sounded feminine, which most likely meant that it belonged to a female. Judging from the tears in Gil's eyes and his previous actions she had to be his mate. Great...I am being mistaken for a fucking girl Loki grumbled internally. This was certainly a first for him. Loki knew he didn't look like the most masculine man around. He inherited more of his mother's looks than his father's, including her smaller stature. He was more cute than handsome looking for sure, but he wasn't so bad that he would be mistaken for a woman. “I-I'm not Akeelah.” the boy mumbled. What was wrong with Gil that he thought he was some girl? The thought started to worry him some, not because of what Gil would do to him because of it, but what must be going on with the other male. If he was hallucinating so badly that meant his physical condition was getting worse. Despite everything Loki was still looking out for the hellhound's safety. He was the only one that could.
Loki fell silent as Guillotine began to speak again. The hellhound really was losing his grip on reality. The boy visibly cringed when Gil told him that he loved him. No, not him, Akeelah. As the man continued to pour his heart out Loki couldn't help but think about the girl he once loved. Guillotine was not the only one with relationship problems. Hearing Gil speak made him think about Amalia and what he had done to her. Had the situation been reversed Loki would have ended up doing the same thing Gil was doing right now. How many times did he dream of that girl? How many times did he cry and apologize to someone that was no longer there? At least Gil's girl was still around. He had a chance of being with the person he loved, but only if he could survive the night. Loki had to do something for the guy. Just as Gil started to get weaker Loki reached out to him one last time and did something unexpected.
He slapped him. Not enough to bruise or seriously harm Gil, but just hard enough to try and knock some sense back into the guy. “Gil.” Loki called out to the hellhound, grabbing the male's face in his hands to force him to look him in the eyes. “You aren't leaving anyone, got that? You aren't going anywhere. I don't know what you did to whoever you are talking about but you have a chance to make things right. Wake the fuck up, stop dreaming and make up with the real Akeelah. I am not going to let you fucking die before you get that chance damn it.”

Something snapped inside of Guillotine’s skull when Loki had admitted that he was not Akeelah. The very words shook the hellhound to his core. He could no longer speak. The hound even opened his mouth to tell Loki that it wasn’t true, and that he was lying to him. But, alas, his imagination appeared to have taken a permanent hold on his mind. Guillotine shook the thought from his head. He believed Akeelah was sitting there before him. If he wished to stay conscious he HAD to believe it. Right at that moment the vision of Akeelah was the only thing keeping Guillotine’s head above water. If it wasn’t for her influence he would have sunk to the bottom of his thoughts and allowed himself to pass on. He wasn’t by no means an old hellhound. Guillotine was fairly young in hellhound standards, but in that same since he had been through quite a bit, more than most of his species, and at this moment in time he could say he’d lived a full life and was willing to fall into death's sweet embrace. However, the thoughts of his mate and his pups were a constant reminder that he need to keep pushing to survive. He needed to keep fighting for their sake. What of his friends? Guillotine had accumulated a few over the years. These individuals were more than friends in the mind of the hellhound, they were almost like family, like a pack. The beast couldn’t bare to leave them either.
Hope came in the form of his Ex and, for the time, Guillotine was thankful for that. Too bad the beast wasn’t quite sure how to take it. His mind was scrambled from the recent travesty. He wasn’t quite willing to admit that the fantom that sat before him was really Loki. If in his right mind Guillotine wouldn’t have shed a single tear in the smaller male’s presence. It wasn’t until the moment Guillotine received a slap across the face the his tears began to clear. What was left of the watery mess rolled down the side of his cheek and dripped off onto the ground. Gil didn’t make an attempt to look back at “Akeelah”. She struck him, and for good reason. In his mind he figured she was still angry at him, but if he would have looked back his imagination would have let up, and Loki would have been sitting there. Gil refused to look.
Guillotine grimaced once Loki took his face onto his hands and forced him to look the feline in the eye. The male froze for a moment, his words hit the larger canine like a ton of bricks. Did Loki really mean what he said? Gil appeared confused as to why Loki was sitting there. Uncertainty could be seen on the male’s face. He wasn’t quite sure what had just happened to him. “I-I don’t know if I can…” The hound began to get weaker, he could feel his bones beginning to ache. His green gaze looked elsewhere. He couldn’t look Loki in the eye anymore. The male groaned a little. His mind took yet another dip in the pool of insanity. “I’m feeling a little tired, Loki. C-Can I lay here for a minute? I want to close my eyes, but just for a minute, okay?”

Tonight paled in comparison to some of the shit Loki had ever had to deal with in his life, but it had earned a special place in “bad crap” in the young male's heart. Why did things just never go his way when it came to Gil? The first few times they had interacted had been a disaster. When he had first met the hellhound he knew he was going to have some trouble. He had to intentionally get on the mutt's bad side in order to keep him hanging around just long enough for Azazel to deal with him. The second time wasn't much better. Though he did save Gil's life even then he knew that his life was still endanger. After that night he never expected anything other than hostility from the hellhound. But this? This kiss thing came out of no where. Loki expected certain things from Gil. He expected the hellhound to try to kill him, belittle him, at the very least creep on him. Those things he could deal with to some extent. As dangerous as Guillotine was he was very simple minded which made him easy to manipulate. The promise of food that wasn't his fluffy little tail was suppose to be his 'Don't eat me' free card.
If only things turned out the way he wanted them to. This task should have been an easy thing, break into a low security butchershop, grab a few steaks, watch the dumb mutt chow down for a little bit, and watch his stupid tail leave him alone for the rest of the night. That was how it was suppose to go. Instead Loki found himself forcefully pulled into Gil's arms, forced to loan his body to the other male for the sake of keeping him from freezing to death, and to make things even better having his first kiss stolen from him because a certain someone was hallucinating in his final conscious moments. The only thing that could make this better was if Gil really did die on him. On a practical level it would have been in Loki's best interest if Gil really did die right now. Guillotine was not some annoying thorn in his side, he was a legitimate threat. This was the bastard that wanted to slowly rip him apart before eating him alive. Loki knew well what Gil wanted to do with him, and he had seen on more than one occasion what Gil was capable of. He also knew he didn't stand a chance against him when that time came. For all his training the shapeshifter was just too physically weak to take down such a difficult opponent. Maybe he could do it if he had complete control of the environment they were in, and had a few tricks up his sleeve. But in a random encounter, which was usually how they met he had little hope of survival.
If Gil died now he wouldn't have to fear for his life anymore. There would be no need to worry about what could happen to him, or the few friends he had now being put in harms way all because Guillotine had it out for him. It was better this way. He knew all of that and yet here he was trying to save him. Even after the initial shock and disgust of that dreaded kiss Loki was more concerned about the dying hound in front of him to even act ashamed over what happened. “You are way too nice for your own good” Amalia's words echoed in his mind as he tried his damnedest to pull Gil back to reality. Amalia was right, he really was too nice for his own good. One day it was sure to get him killed, but not before it killed those around him. Loki shoved those dangerous thoughts out of his head for a moment to tend to Gil. He would deal with the downsides to his own stupidity later. Right now he needed to keep Gil alive.
“You can and you will.” Loki hissed when Gil spoke up. “You will keep living because that is what you do. And knowing my luck the gods will want to keep you around just long enough to make my life hell before you eventually kill me.” The lighthearted tone of his voice made that sound like a joke, though somewhere deep in his heart he really was worried that that would be the case some day. “Besides, you can't give up yet. The girl you want to be with is still out there isn’t' she? You wouldn't want to leave her out in the world all by herself do you?” That should be a good motivator to keep him going Loki was sure. But motivation wouldn't be enough to keep this one alive. Loki reached out for the cell he dropped when Gil kissed him and hit speed dial on the contact the hellhound had mentioned earlier. Time seemed to tick by uncomfortably slowly as the boy waited for this Jesse person to pick up, but thankfully he heard another guy's voice on the other line.
The moment that the guy greeted him (Or rather assumed he was Gil) Loki wasted no time in telling the stranger the situation and to get his butt down here as soon as he could, naturally omitting the how and the why of what lead them to their current predicament. There was little time left to explain all of that, besides, if Gil's friend wanted to know what happened he could ask Gil himself once he recovered. Hanging up the phone Loki flashed the hellhound a smile. “Good news, your friend will be here to pick you up soon. Looks like you are going to live after all.” The boy's smile faltered for a second when Gil asked if he could lay down for a moment. That was not a good sign at all. “No can do Gilly. If you fall asleep now you might never wake up again. We can't have that now can we?” The boy slid off Gil's lap to kneel beside him. He draped the other man's arm over his shoulders, and drew his other arm around the hellhound's waist before trying to lift him off his feet. “Instead of falling asleep what you really need to do is get out of this place so we can't meet your buddy.” Loki wasn't particularly strong, and with Gil being so much bigger than he was it was going to be a chore to drag the hellhound out of the shop. But it needed to be done, so long as Gil could stay conscious enough to cooperate it wouldn't be too bad. “Do you think you can walk for a few minutes?”

Guillotine’s life was, ironically enough, in Loki’s hands. At the time being Guillotine would be far too weak to fend off an attack if the cat chose to end him. Hell, if Loki did not kill him the cold sure would. The hellhound’s life was hanging in the balance. Guillotine felt so weak, so helpless, almost like a newborn pup. He hated it. The hellhound hadn’t felt this helpless in a very long time. The male could recall being beaten to a pulp by Azazel and it still wasn’t as bad as this. (though it was still horrible) Just the thought of something like this ending him pissed Guillotine off. If only his firey hot temper could warm him, he would be set.
Loki appeared to be doing everything in his power to help the foolish canine. Guillotine would never admit it, but it was his fault he was in this situation to begin with. If only he hadn’t run into Loki back in the alley, if only he didn’t give the smaller male an ultimatum, if only he would have minded his own damn business, none of this would be happening right now. Guillotines tall body had stopped shaking by this time. The sickness was setting in and the male could feel it. After his bout with a hallucination. The male managed to snap out of it when Loki slapped him across the face. Akeelah was gone from his mind, to his dismay. Gil was oblivious to the fact that he had assaulted Loki with a kiss. Oh, if only the male had known, he probably would have let himself die.
Little Loki had been through a lot in the last hour. He fended off Guillotine’s attacks and now he was trying to save the man’s life. Most would have called Loki a fool for doing this, but if Gil was in his right mind he would be greatful. Right now, all the male wanted to do was lay down for a few minutes. Chances were if he did he would not wake up. The eternal slumber was calling his name, and Gil, despite wanting to stay alive, would answer it’s call. He was growing tired of fighting it, though there was one thing holding him back from leaning over and closing his eyes. Loki had spoken again. His words gave the taller man hope. He needed to be alive, he needed to see Akeelah again. Loki’s tone got Gil going. Jesse was on his way and Loki wanted to get him up. He attempted to stand when Loki offered to help. “I-I can stand. I don’t know about walking.” Thankfully he managed to get to his feet with Loki’s assistance, but instead of moving he leaned his back against the wall. "Lets take it slow..."
“Loki, thank you.” The words crept out of his throat as a whisper. He truly did not want to admit it, but this little cat wasn’t as bad as he had thought. The male felt warm against him, Gil wished to cling onto Loki more but he would surly bring the male down with him if he did. Instead, Gil kept himself against the wall. The two of them were in two entirely different weight classes. "I don't know what I would do without you..."

How many times had Loki had another person's life in his hands? Growing up Loki had always had a gentle and caring nature. Despite his status in his old world, and being raised by a cold self centered prick of a father Loki always found himself trying to help others when he saw them in trouble. It had earned him quite a bit of pain in the past. Before he came here his father had always been on his ass for doing such things. It wasn't his place to take care of the sick or weak. 'We have healers for that' he would say, or more harshly 'They are too far beneath you to bother'. At best whenever he got caught trying to do such things he would earn a beating, at worse his father would lash out by attacking the very people he tried to help. When he ended up in this world he constantly had to care for Amalia thanks to her frail health. He was just so used to caring for others despite the consequences that it wasn't really a surprise that he was still trying to help Guillotine out.
That didn't make his actions any less stupid though. Loki was well aware what trying to save Gil's life could do to him in the long run. Gil will only come back to kill him later. This wouldn't be the first time that he had saved the hellhound's life and was paid back with violence. This would would not end well for him at all and he knew it. Yet here he was, trying to force the hellhound back up on his feet so they could leave the butchershop to meet his friend. Hopefully this Jesse guy was a lot nicer than Gil was. If he was able to take over and save Gil he could convince the hellhound not to eat his feline savior. Yeah...like that would ever happen. It wasn't easy lifting Guillotine up on his feet. While Loki did position himself well enough that he wouldn't have to struggle with the full force of the Guillotine's weight, there difference in size still made things tricky. At least Gil could stand. That much Gil said he could do anyway, but actually getting up and moving was a different story. The moment that Loki was able to help lift Gil up the large male leaned back against the wall again and asked Loki if they could take it slow.
“Yeah we can take it slow, but only by a little.” The boy replied. While Guillotine's body was begging him to stop it was in the hellhound's best interest to keep going. If his body was given the chance to rest too much it could shut down completely and that would be the end of him. Keeping him busy was the best course of action. “I'll give you a few seconds to gather your strength then we have to go okay?” Just as he spoke Gil muttered something. Had Loki been human he might have missed Gil's words of thanks entirely. Given the hellhound's condition and pride it must have taken a lot just to say something like that to someone like him. “Y-your welcome...I guess.” Loki replied awkwardly. If he wasn't so certain of his pending doom for doing what he was doing now he would have been more touched by the hellhound's words.
If only Gil wasn't going to kill him...or worse. Their kiss suddenly crept up in his mind, making the little shifter turn his face away from Gil so he wouldn't see him blush. He....didn't have to start worrying about Gil doing more than just killing him the next time they saw each other did he? Gil did seem to be hallucinating at the time so that...that kiss was not meant for him. If that was the case than Gil wouldn't feel the need to act out on it. Why would he anyway? Loki was not a female. As far as he knew males didn't form sexual bonds with one another, there was no way that anything like that would happen to him. Loki shifted slightly under Gil, adjusting the larger male's body so it would be easier to help carry him out of the store, still feeling very uncomfortable being so close to Gil after what happened. For now he would have to push those concerns away. Another person's life was far more important than his shame.
“What would you do without me?” the boy echoed, choosing to focus on what Guillotine was saying, rather than the thought of his lips against his. “Die most likely.” though the chances of Gil getting himself in such a state might not have happened if they didn't meet in the first place. Gil didn't need to think about that though, he didn't want another potential death on his list of bad shit he had caused, even if it was with someone he didn't get along with. “This is going to be the second time I saved your scaly hide you know. Or it will be once we get out of here so lets go.” Being careful not to force the male to move too suddenly Loki slowly started moving towards the exit, waiting for Gil to start stepping alongside him for support. “We can't stay here much longer. I am sure if we try moving now your friend will be out by the front waiting for us.”

Guillotine had to be thankful for the little cat. Granted, if it wasn’t for him running into Loki the male wouldn’t have put himself into such a dire situation. However, in the end Gil could only blame himself for the trouble he was in. Loki hadn’t asked him to enter the freezer, but he did. Loki did not tell Guillotine to take him to the butcher shop, that had been the hound’s own idea. Still, regardless of how it happened, the hound was still in a world of hurt. At the end of the day, it was loki who was saving his skin. Could he really hurt the feline after what had transpired today? Only time would tell if Gil learned his lesson about messing with Loki. Though, being the hound that he was, it was a real possibility that he would just go back to his old selfish ways.
Guillotine began to pant. He felt so tired. The hound almost wished Loki would just leave him to rest. Closing his eyes for a minute or two wouldn’t be so bad right? With his mind on the fritz Gil wouldn’t be thinking as clearly as he should. Loki appeared to be rushing him. Gil snorted, getting slightly annoyed with him. Little did he know Loki was doing this for Guillotine’s own good. “Y-Yeah, all I need is a minute.” The hound replied, he leaned against the wall, resting a bit. He could feel his tired bones aching, and his muscles were tense. he gave himself a few minutes before sitting up. He noticed Loki looking away from him and frowned. Gil was quite confused what was wrong with the smaller male. He was quickly pulled from his thoughts as Loki spoke again. He answered Gil’s earlier question. What he said made the hound give a breathless chuckle. Loki was right, the hound would be dead if it wasn’t for him.
The hellbeast could feel Loki’s arms around him, his body was still quite warm against his own. Gil just wanted to plop down and snuggle him again. he quickly shook that thought from his head. Jesse would be outside any minute now, waiting for him. Surely, he would have the car all nice and warm for him. This thought alone prompted Gil to move. As soon as he began to walk alongside Loki the hound answered his earlier statement. The smaller being was correct when he mentioned that he had saved Gil’s life twice now. Guillotine was a fool if he thought the smaller cat would let him live any of this down. “D-Don’t rub it in…” He replied with a snort. With Loki’s help the two managed to get out of the building and out into the open air. Sure enough, Jesse was there waiting for the two of them. The night had been interesting one. This was an adventure that Guillotine did not wish to repeat anytime soon.
