Today was a nice day. It was a bit chilly but the sun was out in full view. After days of overcast and cold temperatures this should have been a pick me up for most, but not for Gil. Despite the good weather Guillotine was still feeling quite shitty. The hellhound was still angry about something that had happened just days before. So much so that he appeared to be pouting like some spoiled child as he walked along the sidewalk. Guillotine cursed to himself as he walked. Just days ago he was released from the hospital. The foolish male had run into Azazel and his little pet shifter Loki in an alley. Needless to say a fight broke out. Azazel had beaten him to a bloody pulp that day, leaving him with a nasty wound on his chest. If it wasn’t for his roommate Loki, Gil would have been dead. The stab wound he received from Azazel was bandaged up now and covered by his shirt and a black jacket. Luckily, Gil was given some medications to help quell the throbbing pain that he felt. But, in turn, he was unable to take his original medication in fear that the two pills would react badly. This wouldn’t be so bad if his original medication wasn't so important. It helped him control his instincts for the most part and even helped with his mood. Today he would have to play it safe and be extra careful not to get into trouble. To help combat his rage he bought enough cigarettes to satisfy himself for the next few days. He was on his fifth one now.
Bringing the cancer stick up to his lips Guillotine took a long, hard, drag. “Damn Azazel to hell…” He growled, releasing the toxic smoke into the air. Guillotine hoped the angel never got reunited with his mate. Hell, he hoped the bitch and her abomination of a child was dead. Ah yes, the child. Guillotine had almost forgotten he got the woman pregnant. Their one night stand had produced a child that Gil wasn’t too fond of. He didn’t even know such a thing was possible. An angel and a demon wasn’t suppose to have children together, yet it happened. Maybe his spawn was a little more potent than he thought? The beast surely hoped the child was indeed dead. If it wasn’t the unwanted baby would cause so many problems with him and Akeelah. After all, Aviela was one of the females he cheated on his mate with. If Akeelah ever found out their relationship would be over. He wouldn’t get a chance to be a father to her pups. Shaking this thought from his head Gil pressed on. The hound did not need to think about that. He was already in a pissy mood.
Luckily, people seemed to be steering clear of Guillotine as he walked along the sidewalk. Maybe they could tell he wasn’t too happy? Well, with his brow furrowed and his face contorted into a permanent scowl he did look quite pissed off. Gil never really looked like the type of person a stranger would walk up to anyway. He just wasn’t approachable type. With no one getting in his way Gil finally made it to his destination, the park. He stood at the entrance for a moment. Looking up at the sign that clearly read “no smoking”, he laughed before entering the park anyway with the smoke stick in his hand. Tapping the ashes from the tip of his cigarette he began to make his way to the back of the park.
Despite the chill in the air Gil wanted to do some sunbathing before heading back to Jesse’s place. The park was the perfect place to do just that. People usually left him alone whenever he came here. Not only that but there was plenty of space out here. He could find a nice place to rest without being disturbed. Strolling over to his usual spot he sat down. Looking around he realized the park was quite empty. There was a few figures off in the distance but he didn’t pay them any mind. After finishing up his cigarette he flicked it aside before laying back onto the grass. God, he wished he could just lay there nude or at least in his other form so he could really catch some rays. None of that was going to happen. Snorting to himself the beast rested his hands behind his head and closed his eyes. The warmth felt nice on his face. He sighed, relaxing a bit under the sun’s warming rays. It felt nice to get a little fresh air. Maybe today would be a good day after all? Though, even on days like this trouble always seemed to have a way of finding Guillotine.

Aviela seemed to be in an extra good mood today. The weather was to her liking, she was back in her home town of New Orlands, and she had her mate, Azazel, back. Since she had returned, the woman had no chance to go for a little walk by herself and see how her home had changed. She decided to go to the park and enjoy the fresh air, maybe go for a little run. She was surprised trouble hadn’t found its way to her yet. As Aviela walked she smiled at anyone who passed, “Might as well earn my name back good somehow, seeing as no one remembers me anyways.”
She walked down the street at a steady pace taking in everything. Avi looked down at her stomach, which was back to its normal size, when she got in that car wreck everything seemed to fall further downhill. Even though the child was dead and unwanted she still took pity on it and it did take a toll on herself. Aviela thought of the unborn child’s father, Guillotine. He was very attractive, she’d give him that but other than his looks, that mutt had nothing going for him in her eyes. At least Azazel was forgiving, she was very grateful of that. She kept on walking getting closer to the park, nature always seemed to get her mind off these negative thoughts.
Avi looked at her shoes and almost stumbled upon a dead bird in her path. Aviela hopped backwards and went around it shaking her head, what can a little superstition of bad luck do to ruin this day? The fallen angel finally reached the entrance to the park and traveled to the back of the park where is was mostly secluded and very woodsy. She noticed that today not too many people seemed to be strolling the park which was very odd for a lovely day like this. As Avi walked, she could smell a faintness of cigarettes, “Disgusting, people don’t seem to care about others enjoyments.” She rolled her eyes and continued to a big beautiful Willow but the closer she got, the stench of cigarettes filled the air more. Aviela stopped and looked around, someone or something familiar caught her eye.
The fallen angel stepped backwards a bit and quickly ran to sit behind the big tree. Grabbing her chest in utter shock she closed her eyes, “That can’t be…” Avi peeked her head around the tree getting a better look at the silhouetted figure laying on the ground. Guillotine. She quickly turned back around and sat there for a moment, the memories she had pushed away for so long came flooding back into her thoughts. The fights, Azazel leaving, the junkyard, the pregnancy. She felt a sharp pain explode in her head, she should've known this was going to happen sooner or later. All she could hope was the beast didn't spot her. Aviela knew something bad was bound to happen today, things never were that perfect, she should’ve turned and went back home when she saw that stupid dead bird. “I might as well just go somewhere else, to avoid that mutt. God knows what I would get into with him. Azazel already is iffy since my return.” She had been talking to herself for quite a bit now that it just seemed normal to her, she guessed thats what a year of being alone did to her. Avi shook her head and stood up, she went to turn to walk away but she tripped over a root and fell, gasping loud enough that anyone in a short range could hear. The woman gripped her eyes quickly shut and prayed the hellhound didn't sense her.

Guillotine couldn’t have picked a better day to be outside. With the sun’s rays shining down onto his pale body he started to feel nice and warm, even if it was a little cool outside. A good basking session was just what Guillotine needed to put himself in a good mood. It would be better if he could transform and lay out in the sun. Absorbing heat was what his scales did best. It was one of their main purposes after all. Despite not having any scales in his human form Gil was becoming rather warm. Suppose he had no reason to complain. He was quite comfortable already. So much so that he began to nod off. Guillotine closed his eyes. He hadn’t kept them closed for very long when something caught his attention. A very interesting sound had reached his ears.
Guillotine’s ears twitched. Someone was nearby. The male’s eyes flashed open and he slowly sat up. A low, annoyed, grumble crept from his mouth. The male wasn’t too pleased to be disturbed. Especially on a good day like today. Turning around, his attitude quickly changed once he saw who was actually lying there on the ground. She looked familiar. Still he was unsure who this person was. “Hey-” The beast was quickly interrupted when a familiar scent swept into his nose. He took the scent in. Relishing it for a few moments he realized just who this person was. It was her. A sickening grin soon crept onto Guillotine’s features. Today would prove to be a very interesting day after all.
“Ah, hello my little dove...” The hellhound sneered, his raspy voice dripping with lust. He slowly got up. Looking his company over Gil could barely believe his eyes. There before him lay the woman he so desperately wanted dead. Sure, they had their moments together but in the end Gil saw this angel to be nothing more than a bag of flesh. Guillotine did not miss this girl at all. Though his voice could have told anyone otherwise. He sounded almost happy to see her. This was probably because he had some kind of plan up his sleeve. Guillotine wanted to toy with the poor girl for a bit.
Looking around Guillotine’s forest green eyes scanned the area. This could possibly be a trap. This had to be too good to be true. When Gil did not see Azazel he tried something a little different. The beast’s nose flared open. Taking in the scents around him, including Aviela’s. The only thing his brain could process now was the angel's scent alone. Well, at least he tried. The coast seemed clear for the most part. Guillotine shrugged of his suspicions and turned back to his company. His sick grin remained unchanged. “It’s been a while, hasn’t it?” Guillotine cooed, he folded his arms in front of him as he approached the woman. Looking down at her vulnerable frame his eyes began to shift to their blood red color. Guillotine seemed to like what he saw. If he wasn’t trying so desperately to get back with Akeelah he would have taken advantage of Aviela. “ Mhm, Looking as lovely as ever I see…”
Too bad you are a bitch...
Avela looked a bit older now. Though her over all appeal hadn’t changed a bit. She was still a very attractive woman. Oh, if only Guillotine were single he might have wanted to have another go at her. Their night together was still fresh in his mind, almost as if it happened yesterday. Despite Guillotine's hatred for the woman he would have to admit she did have looks, her looks always seemed to get him. Suppose he still had a soft spot for the ladies? With a dark chuckle Gil continued, “It appears you have developed quite nicely since the last time we met.”
Guillotine then looked around once again. He almost appeared paranoid this time. That sickening grin of his had disappeared as his eyes scanned the area. He almost seemed worried about something. Memories of that night had brought up a very important question. Where was the child? The hell beast was looking for Aviela’s child, rather, their child. The little baby wasn't around. Guillotine hoped the little infant was dead. It wouldn’t hurt to ask about it, right?
“So where is that abomination of yours hmmm?” The male asked as he looked down at Aviela once more. He seemed a little less smily this time around. Guillotine’s more serious side was slipping from the cracks. “Did you finally gain enough sense to get rid of it? You know I could always do the job for you. My services are free after all.” Guillotine joked as if he were exterminating rats and mice from someone’s home. Just the thought of purging the child from the earth made the hound hungry. He licked his lips with satisfaction. Guillotine didn't have any sort of paternal connection with Aviela's baby. It was nothing to him.
Next, Guillotine did something rather unexpected. He walked over to Aviela’s side and offered a hand to help her up. The woman’s vulnerable body was tempting him at bit too much. If he wanted to stay loyal to Akeelah he would need to put an end to this quickly. Guillotine wasn't sure how much more he could take. Deep down the beast wanted to kill her. However, for the time being Aviela’s life would be spared as long as Azazel still walked the earth. Gil had enough sense to know that killing Aviela would be a death sentence for him and possibly his mate. Vendetta or not he wouldn't put Akeelah at risk. Not if he could help it anyway.

Aviela laid there, crouched on the ground, listening to the grunts of Guillotine. “Oh please, please, don’t wake up.” She prayed to herself over and over again until she heard the hound speak. Her eyes snapped open and she looked up, he was walking right towards her. His voice was just as she remembered, and very attractive, he hadn't changed one bit. She watched as he glazed her over with his lust filled eyes. He was so revolting but so sexy at the same time, Avi hated him for that along with many other reasons. She was very surprised to see that the mutt hadn't jumped down her throat yet. He actually sounded quite pleased in seeing Aviela here which puzzled her more than anything. Aviela sat up a bit and brushed herself off from her fall, being cautious to stand. Maybe I can use this to my advantage… Her thoughts trailed off as she focused back onto the beast in front of her.
The fallen angel watched as the male’s expression stayed the same but he discretely was checking his surroundings, he was worried and she could tell. She looked at her feet and smirked, poor pup is afraid of getting his ass handed to him. Aviela cocked her head, why was this mutt so interested once again, he wasn't even acting his sarcastic self. “It has been quite sometime, it would be nice if you quit undressing me with your eyes.” She rolled her eyes and finally heard some harsh words come from the beast’s mouth. There was the Guillotine she knew. “Likewise you mangey mutt.” Avi spat towards him, she was beginning to get bored of his old antics.
As she listened on to Guillotine a deep pain struck her when he asked of their unborn child, she didn’t want it to begin with, why was she so pained about it? Aviela sighed and looked him in the eyes giving him a cold look. “When I fled New Orlands, right after the fight with you, Azazel, and I on the beach. I was in a fatal car wreck…” Her voice trailed off and she bit her lip fighting tears. “I was the only one to survive, the baby was lost in the wreck as well. I didn’t want the thing anyways.” She looked back at Guillotine and sucked up her pointless tears and tried to show at least a little bit of dominance, she wasn't taking any of his sh*t today. “You don’t have to worry Guilly, I don't need you nor will I ever, so don't count on me calling on you for those free services.”
Aviela looked away for a second and saw in her peripheral vision the mutt move towards her. She quickly snapped her head back towards him, she was ready for a fight but was surprised to see that he was offering her a hand up. Avi looked at Guillotine’s hand and snorted, did he really think she would fall for that? She was strong enough on her own and didn't need anyone helping her, especially him. She thought for a moment and shrugged, might as well humor him. Avi reached up and grabbed his hand, pulling herself up. She was quite bored of him now and decided to change things up a bit. Aviela was tired of being the vulnerable little female, so she stepped towards the beast getting closer to his face, challenging him, her lips only a couple inches from his. “Guillotine, this entire time you have been gawking at me, you are a sad little pup you know that? I pity anyone that you have loved. Oh wait, I forgot, you don’t know how to.” She flicked her deep hazel eyes up to his, she knew she was starting a fight but maybe this scum of the earth would surprise her.
Aviela smirked to herself, she felt powerful for once. She felt like she almost had the upper hand over Guillotine. She wasn't quick to get cocky though, she knew he always had some little tricks he could pull. She also didn't want to upset Azazel. Her and Azazel had only seen each other once since she had returned but then again, she had only been back for about a week and already getting into trouble. Avi knew he would be watching out for her, he didn't want to lose her again. But Aviela felt that things could change very quickly, especially with a hellhound inches from her face.

The beast released a hardy laugh when Aviela spoke. She stated that it would have been nice if he were to stop undressing her with his eyes. This was true. It was tough for the hellhound not to look the female up and down. He knew very well what lay just under those clothes. At least he was keeping his hands to himself. Memories of their time together had resurfaced. That night they shared played back in his head like a film. They had such a wonderful little romp back at the junkyard, that is, until morning had come. The hellhound wouldn’t bring it up. Though, the thought was fresh in his mind.
Guillotine had to admit it was getting harder to keep to himself. Apart of him wanted to take Aviela yet again. There really wasn’t anyone here who could stop him from doing it. Gil could manage to pin her against the tree and have his way with her. However, Gil would be damned if he cheated on Akeelah again. The hound pushed the idea of taking Aviela out of his mind. A sense of shame began to consume the hellish hound soon after. Why was he thinking like this? He'd already put his Ex though so much pain. Not only that but he had gotten her pregnant as well. Guillotine would be nothing more than a worthless sack of sh*t if he went through with this. He'd also have Azazel to worry about. Hell, both Akeelah and Azazel would be out for blood if he did mess around with Aviela today. That was one fight Guillotine did not wish to have.
Instead of commenting back on her looks Guillotine remained unusually quiet and observed her body language. Even when she called him a mangy mutt the beast, for once in his life, kept his mouth shut. Perhaps he was actually learning how to hold his tongue? With his recent beating fresh in his mind Gil wasn’t too keen on pissing off Azazel again. Aviela would definitely trigger another beating if he were to mess with her. Oh, what was a hound like him to do? Act like a smart ass of course. Sure, he couldn’t hurt the woman physically, but he could destroy her mentally. That plan of attack was just up his alley. An amused grin could be seen on Guillotine’s face. Aviela’s words hadn’t phased him much. He’d heard those dreadful slurs before. Time and time again he had been called a mutt by his enemies. Gil couldn’t take this woman seriously if he wished to keep himself calm. The angel’s threats seemed to amuse him more than anything else though. She just seemed so angry with him, not that he really cared.
Aviela did not seem too pleased when Gil had asked of the child. Guillotine tried to use his words as weapons in this instance. Instead of smacking the woman across the face he gave her a mental jab. He wanted to slowly chip away at her confidence. This would be the best strategy here. Guillotine could not raise a hand to this woman but he could talk down to her. The only good news at the moment was that the child was gone. That devilish grin never left Gil’s handsome face. "Good.” So the baby did indeed die. Gil didn’t care how it died. Just the fact that the job was done seemed to please him. A sense of relief washed over Gil. Now that would be one less thing he would have to worry about. While he was happy about this outcome the female appeared to be feeling the opposite. Guillotine thought he could pick up some doubt in that voice of hers when she poke of the baby. She had said that she really didn’t want it anyway. Regardless, the hound shrugged it off. Gil would agree with what she had said. The hound gave her a nod and replied, “It’s nice to know we are on the same page here.” Oh well, his services would not be needed after all.
Once Guillotine helped Aviela to her feet the woman did something surprising. The angel had the gall to get into Guillotine’s face. This action alone wiped the smile right from the hound’s features. A bewildered frown had taken the place of his confident smile. The male’s eyes widened as Aviela stood just inches away from his mouth. Guillotine’s fangs were his main weapons in his human form and now she was standing mere inches from them. He could feel the heat radiating off her body. The hellhound’s heart began to race. What was he going to do? His first instinct was to bite but he held himself back. Azazel had come to mind before he even opened his mouth. The beast’s brow furrowed. Did Aviela have a death wish? Where is that mate of hers? He should keep his bitch on a tighter leash. It was hard enough to keep his hands to himself. Now Aviela was just making things more difficult for him. Guillotine remained quiet for a moment. He took in Aviela’s stance as well as her scent. The female wasn’t moving anytime soon. Gil made eye contact with her. He was giving her a challenging glare before saying, “Are you stupid or something?”
Guillotine was a bit surprised that Aviela was stepping to him like this. It had to be some kind of a joke or a trap at the very least. Why was Aviela suddenly acting like an alpha? She leaves for a while and now she thinks she can take him out without the help of her boyfriend? Guillotine wasn’t about to give her the satisfaction of dominating him. The beast wanted to shut her down right then and there. With a cocky tone he said. “You look ridiculous right now." The beast teased his coldness never leaving his eyes. Aviela’s stance never faltered, even when she stood just inches from her death. Aviela wanted a fight. Gil could feel it. The angel was starting to push his buttons. She then went on to insult him more. Calling him a sad pup and telling him that he could never love. These words seemed to have struck a nerve with him. Gil could feel his temper rising. He couldn't let her control him like this.
Stupid girl, maybe she wants to join her dead child in hell?
Without warning Guillotine reached out and gently gripped Aviela’s chin with his right hand. He held it close to him for a moment. Studying her eyes and looking almost as if he where about to kiss the fallen angel. His own forest green orbs began to shift to a blood red color. Despite his instinct tugging at the reigns Gil managed to stay relatively calm. Perhaps it was because he had a plan up his sleeve? Gazing into Aviela’s eyes Gil finally spoke, “You know it would pain me to hurt such a pretty face…” He cooed with a mocking tone. This had to be some trick. Azazel just had to be watching and waiting for him to knock the woman out, or at the very least fight her. If Aviela wanted a fight Gil would try his damndest not to give her one. There was only one reason for this. As long as Azazel was still around Gil wouldn’t hurt Aviela, or at least not if he could help it. He would be sentencing his own demise if he did.
“Do you take me for a fool?” The beast replied with a breathless chuckle. His rough hands continued to caress Aviela’s chin. That sharp toothed grin of his returned. “You know as well as I do that dreadful mate of yours will have my head if I were to lay an ill hand on you, Aviela. Sorry doll, I’m not willing to risk it today. ” Gil then slowly released her chin before giving her cheek a gentle pat. The hound did not back away, he stayed in front of Aviela. “Besides, I want to relax a bit. It is a fine evening, no? “ The beast looked up into the sky and inhaled deeply. Guillotine was going to keep what Aviela wanted most away from her. He wouldn’t give her the satisfaction of fighting him. Looking back down at his company he said with a toothy grin. “You are welcome to join me...if you wish.” Guillotine was playing the good guy card for now. At least until he could figure out a way of destroying Aviela without having to lay a hand on her.

Aviela smiled, she was enjoying watching Guillotine’s confidence diminish at her bold actions. Guillotine was so captivating which fueled her to flirt and get more smart ass-y. She watched as his eyes widened, the beast asked if she was stupid which made her giggle. “Guillotine, now what makes you think that? You’re not afraid of me now, are you?” Aviela draped her arms around the hound’s neck, still trying to tease at him, testing him. “If you could see your expression right now, Guilly, I think you would be the ridiculous looking one.” She found herself to be quite entertained with the hound, she even acted with a true hint of playfulness. Avi bit her lip and looked down, it felt good to be the cocky one for once.
The angel was taking the moment in when she faltered a bit when he gripped her face with a tender hand, this was surprising. Was he about to kiss her? She found that she almost pulled away but felt a different pull towards Guillotine, an attraction. It was Aviela’s turn for her eyes to widen, she even noticed Guillotine’s eyes shifting to a different color. Her breath caught at the sound of his raspy voice, was that a threat? She closed her eyes as he stroked her soft porcelain face, those memories just kept coming back into her mind. Did Aviela have a weakness for the dirty mutt? She looked at Guillotine and blinked in astonishment, it looked like he wasn't up for a fight today, was he planning something?
He patted her cheek and she just gawked at him, her confidence had taken a fatal drop. She knew she couldn't outsmart Guillotine at his own game, so why did she even try. Avi watched silently as the hellhound looked to the sky speaking, he didn't want to fight or anything with her? She was very confused but intrigued. He invited her to join him for the evening and she thought a moment before answering. “I-I guess, it isn't like I have something better to do.” She was a little hesitant and curious. This could go one or two ways, they would end up in some sort of fight or Guillotine and her would have a replay of the junkyard. She clenched her fists, she wished Azazel were here to protect and watch over her. I would never sleep with that filthy animal again, it was the biggest mistake on my part and I would never hurt Azazel like that. She thought once more, maybe for once her and the pup would get along.
Aviela walked to the spot where Guillotine was relaxing before her intrusion to his nap. She laid back looking at the sky. “So, Guillotine, I’ve been gone for so long. What odds and ends of trouble have you gotten yourself into now?” She closed her eyes and giggled, for some reason she felt… safe. Guillotine for once wasn't a threat and she didn't know whether to be relaxed or terrified. Her mind kept drifting to her mate, she prayed that he was alright and staying out of trouble, unlike her at this moment. If anything happened to her today, she hoped he knew she loved him.

Oh, this little get together was getting interesting. Gil chuckled to himself. Aviela wasn’t the only one allowing curiosity to do their bidding. Gil too was a bit intrigued by this fateful meeting. His plan to stay cool and calm was working in his favor. The poor angel seemed taken aback when Gil grabbed her chin. Just the way she looked at him got the male thinking dirty thoughts. If he wasn’t trying to get back together with Akeelah there was a chance he would have tried to get with Aviela yet again. She was just the type of woman he couldn't keep his hands off of. This was ironic considering she was an angel, a demon’s worst enemy. Their closeness didn’t seem to help either. Guillotine could feel the heat radiating off Aviela’s body. It would have pushed him over the edge if Akeelah didn’t creep back into his head. What was he doing?
Aviela appeared to have a knack for flirting with danger. This was the fourth time she had encountered this hound. If Gil wanted too he could have grabbed her by the throat. Instead he gently grasped her chin. Though, to his surprise, she actually seemed to enjoy the touch. At one point the woman even closed her eyes. Was Aviela really enjoying this? It appeared so. Guillotine’s heart began to race. He was growing weary of his own actions now. Instinct started knocking inside of his head. It yelled at him to take her right then and there. It would be so easy. All he would need to do was push her up against the tree. Removing his clothes wouldn’t be a problem. That was something Gil was actually good at. Taking off his clothes in record time was a useless skill of his. Looking down at Aviela those blood red eyes of his looked into her own. Her arms were draped over him. The temptation was there.
Miraculously Gil didn’t do a damn thing. He promised himself he wouldn’t do anything to hurt Akeelah. He would stand by this decision. Even if his lower half didn’t agree with him. He would just have to suck it up and deal with it. Though nothing was stopping him from taking care of his problem later. Clearing his throat the male released Aviela’s chin. It was interesting that even after their little fight she was tolerating his company. She even began to tease the male. He mustered a weak laugh. “You gotta’ be kidding me...”
Guillotine was pleased to see that the woman was finally backing off. Now he could start to come up with a plan to get rid of her. But how? If he were to kill the woman with his bare hands Azazel would definitely come after him, this time to end him for good. Maybe he didn’t need to go after Aviela at all. What if he used her to get some information on Azazel? That just might work out better. This was all too much to deal with at one time. In truth, Gil wasn’t in the mood to fight for once. After getting his ass handed to him by Azazel Gil was taking a short break from the fighting scene. Soon enough the male began to relax. Guillotine was growing more confident that Azazel wasn't around. Why else would Aviela be acting this way? Azazel would have already flipped out if he had witnessed the two messing around.
Silently, the hound watched Aviela walk over to the spot where he had been laying moments before. Apart of Guillotine was relieved that the angel no longer wished to fight him. Still, he couldn't help but to keep an eye on her. Who knows if she was planning something. She sat down before leaning back against the gras. Gil continued to watch her for a moment with those blood red eyes of his. The female was relaxed. She even closed her eyes. Was she trusting him not to hurt her? Only a fool would put their guard down around him. Right now this would have been the perfect time to exact his revenge if he wanted. The beast could be on her in a flash. But, alas, this did not happen. A large grin had appeared on Gil’s face. Today would turn out to be more interesting than he thought. Slowly, Gil made his way over to Aviela’s side. He sat down a foot or so from her and leaned back. Resting his arms behind his head the beast pressed his back against the warm grass. He lay there for a moment with a stupid grin on his face. Man, the warmth felt great against his flesh. He had missed it while standing in the shade of the tree. Getting a little more warmth from the sun did put the hound in a better mood. So much so that he had began to question what to do next.
Did he really need an alternative motive? Perhaps just laying here with Aviela wouldn’t be so bad. The angel wasn’t trying to attack him anymore (as far as he knew), and he doubted Azazel was going to come charging from the bushes. Couldn’t he just relax today like he wanted? This was an opportunity that didn’t come around very often. Guillotine sighed. If Aviela did decide to act up he would deal with it then. For now, he was going to chill out for a while.
When Aviela asked about what he had been doing the hound gave her a light chuckle. “You know, the usual fights.“ The hound then yawned, stretching his legs out. He had got into it with quite a bit of trouble since the last time he and Aviela met up. He wouldn’t fill her in on all the deatails of course. He would mention her mate though. ”I’ve gotten into it with that mate of yours a few times. He’s got a little lacky to do his bidding now. ” Thinking back Gil remembered the day he first met Loki. The sneaky shifter had lead him into Azazel’s trap. Some time after that they met again this time Azazel had to come to Loki’s rescue. That recent battle did left an imprint on the hellhound’s mind. He would think twice before messing with Azazel’s crew again. Still, Gil would brag like it was no big deal.
“They tried to kill me but never succeeded...obviously.” The beast said in a cocky tone. The beast would try his best not to mention his own mate during their conversation. She was a big deal in that little world of his. God knows both Akeelah and his pup would be in danger if he gave Aviela any kind of information about them. If Azazel knew about Akeelah Gil would fear he would try to use her to get to him. The hellhound wouldn’t forgive himself if something happened to her or the pup.
Shaking the thought from his head Gil then looked over at Aviela. He studied her for a moment. Mostly taking in her feminine form. The fallen angel seemed to have gained some moxie since he’d last seen her. How else would she get into his face and talk down to him? Just what was going on? Guillotine looked back to the sky and asked, “I’m guessing you’ve been on a few adventures of your own? You seem to have gotten a bit tougher since our last spat.” The beast teased with a sharp toothed grin. “I never took you for being sharp as nails but now you are making me think otherwise, my little dove.”

Aviela glanced discretely at Guillotine when he plopped down beside her, she wondered why he had such a large smile on his face. She was very intrigued at the male and was actually enjoying herself at the moment. It was nice to get along with Guillotine for once, she knew it wouldn't last though. She wasn't surprised that he had stayed in trouble, she didn't expect any less form him. She perked up quite a bit when Guillotine spoke of Azazel. “You’ve spoken to Azazel?” She sat up a bit looking at the hound, listening. Azazel obviously still wasn't on good terms with the beast, she secretly hoped the mutt would've been hurt worse. “Who is this new sidekick of his?” Aviela was beginning to become quite curious and she water to know as much a possible.
The fallen angel still looked at the hellhound intently, he really seemed to be taken with her confidence and new features. This made Avi giggle a bit, biting her lip. “I’ve been…. around, I guess you could say. Before I came back I just tried to stay low. I really owe it to you Guilly, I wouldn't be this tough if it wasn't for that night and that godforsaken child of ours.” The woman laid back on the ground and sighed, she had gotten tougher hadn't she? Aviela closed her eyes still listening to the male beside her. “I’m not your little anything, Guillotine. You can stop calling me that and if you are going to call me anything, at least make sure it doesn't have wings.” She shuttered remembering the night when she fell from the Heavens, the excruciating pain of loosing her wings. Aviela turned over and smiled but it quickly went away. She thought of her mate once more, how come she kept flirting with Guillotine? Was it the danger that excited her? She really didn't need to mess this up a second time.
Avi turned back over to face Guillotine, he didn't seem like he was expecting an attack, maybe if she caught him off guard it would give her the upper hand. He was so hard to read, if the hound was expecting a fight then she would have no protection and possibly get herself killed. She decided a fight alone with that mutt wasn't the brightest idea. She had to start thinking smarter, how was she suppose to get the information she wanted from him?
Aviela sighed and gathered the courage to speak once more. “Hey, Um…” She looked away becoming nervous but trying to be sincere. “What if I hadn’t lost our child? What would've happened.” The girl stared at the sky and held her breath waiting for a reply from the hellhound. Maybe it was possible for them to get along, she didn't seem to be bothered by that fact, but Azazel probably wouldn't approve. Why should I let anyone tell me what to do, I’ve done perfectly fine on my own. Avi blinked, she finally realized how vulnerable she had made herself over the years, it was time for a better change. Guillotine didn't even seem like that bad of a guy anyways. Maybe the good guys were actually the bad ones.

This was actually pretty damn nice. Being out basking in the sun was just what Gil needed today. Even after having a run-in with a past enemy the hound was having a pretty good day all and all. That very enemy of his was actually not so bad. Aviela’s presence would be tolerated just as long as she didn’t make Guillotine angry. So far so good. Perhaps the two enemies could learn to get along after all? This was possible. However, Guillotine wasn’t the type to keep his nice side out forever. The beast had a bad habit of speaking his mind. He did not care if his words hurt anyone. Not that his words were something he should worry about at the moment. There was still a chance that Aviela could attack him. If the woman were to start something Gil figured he could take her on his own. This was the main reason why he was so relaxed around her. If Azazel were here that would be a different story. But the young woman was alone. As far as Gil could tell Aviela might have gotten braver but that didn’t make her any stronger than she had been before. Maybe he’d test her a bit later. For right now he just wanted to warm up.
Guillotine did talk about his run in with Azazel. At the mere mention of the fallen angel's name the woman picked up. Guillotine slowly opened his eyes. He took note of her behavior as well as the tone in her voice. Gil’s forest green orbs glanced over at his company. When she asked of Azazel the male gave her a low grumble of a growl. “I wouldn’t say we carried on a decent conversation.” The hound replied with a smug tone. He rolled his eyes and looked away from her. “We more or less exchanged threats, you know, the usual.” The beast brought his pale hand up and scratched the light stubble that sat on his chin. When Avela then asked about Azazel’s new ‘sidekick’ the hound froze for a moment. With yet another growl he lowered his hand back to the grass. His body had grown noticeably tense. Gil didn’t want to go into detail about Loki. Hell, he didn't want to talk about the shifter at all. In all honesty he appeared to be more pissed off about the feline than he was about Azazel. “That little fucker is a piece of shit. I think that is all you need to know about him. I’m sure you will see him if you hang around Azazel enough. The damn angel went out and adopted himself a mangy little runt.”
When Guillotine spoke of Aviela’s new found confidence the woman giggled. Not only that but the woman said something rather interesting soon after. That wasn’t exactly the type of response Gil was expected. His brow furrowed for a moment with confusion. Did Aviela just say that he had helped her with something? She’d stated that he had toughened her up a bit. Could this be true? Relaxing his facial features Gil smirked. “I guess I'm not such a bad dog after all, huh?” It was all the hound could possibly say. He just wasn’t used to people telling him that. Usually people regretted coming into contact with Guillotine. Here this woman was thanking him. What on earth was going on here?
Soon things calmed down. Aviela laid back in the grass and Gil closed his eyes again. Taking a moment He’d spoken to the angel once more. He’d finished his statement by calling her his little dove. Aviela seemed to be tired of hearing that pet name. She replied with a rather interesting demand. She didn’t want to be called by that anymore. But really, was it her choice? Opening his eyes Guillotine sat up. For a moment he studied her face. Was she really hurting over this one simple phrase? Well she was a fallen angel, one that did not have any wings. Suppose that was reason enough. Gil didn’t really care. Though he would do something about it. It would come at a cost. The hellhound would have a demand of his own. “ I’ll humor you If you stop calling me Gilly…” The male replied with a devilish grin. He really liked calling Aviela his little dove. It was a pet name that matched her boy friend’s name. Recently Gil had started to call him a little bird. If she complied with his negotiations then Gil would stop calling her by that name. Until then he would continue to do as he pleased..
Laying back down onto the warm grass the hound stretched a little. His tired bones let out a little pop. Resting his arms out beside him now he continued to take in the sun’s warm rays. Soon enough Aviela spoke again. Guillotine had picked up on the hesitation in her voice. What was she going to say? When the hound heard her question he couldn’t help but to chuckle darkly. Did Aviela really want to know the answer to that question? It was possible that she wouldn’t like what Guillotine had to say on the subject. Regardless, the hound would speak.
Looking up at the sky Guillotine chuckled as he replied, “I think it is safe to say that the child wouldn’t not survive if you brought it around me. I would have killed it and you too if you got in my way.” The beast then stretched some more this time returning his arms to their resting place behind his head. Guillotine spoke as if this really wasn’t a big deal. It really wasn’t to him. He didn’t have any kind of connection with the child or it’s mother. Despite sounding rather rude the hound would humor Aviela with a new idea, one that wouldn’t put the blame entirely on him. He continued to talk with a straight face. “I highly doubt the child would have survived till birth anyway. Your body would have killed it eventually. Angels and demons weren’t meant to breed, Aviela. I doubt the little runt would have ever seen the light of day. It just isn’t natural. “ The hound then shook his head. “You’d have a much better chance of carrying Azazel’s child, ya’ know?” The hound then laughed at the thought. Could two fallen angel’s even breed? Well, if Gil could make a child with Aviela then it had to be possible. Wasn’t that against god or something? Even that didn’t stop Aviela. With a light laugh Gil said, “I bet the little fucker would be born with a knife in it’s hand.”

The curious girl listened to Guillotine, apparently Azazel had failed to tell her about his new little pet. She felt a pinch of jealousy in her and she just shook her head, ignoring the thought. Guillotine obviously still wasn't getting along too well with her mate or his friend. She noticed he tensed up speaking of him, this new pet of Azazel’s had to be some sort of supernatural being. This made Aviela really interested in the beast’s thoughts. Guillotine did have a run in with both of them and he wouldn't tell her anything, there had to be something more than what Guillotine had said happened, but she wasn't going to push him. At least not this time.
Avi noticed that Guillotine didn't seem to be too happy at first when she told him that he helped her. This egged the angel on more, he wanted to come of as a tough guy, but she started to see something a little more. Avi giggled and bit her lip when he said that he wasn't such a bad dog, maybe he really wasn’t. This was a huge change, they had always hated each other from the start but now they were at peace? Aviela was extremely confused but almost at a bliss, she was happy, was Guillotine a… friend? She found herself smiling more than being pissed at him, this was a change, it scared her.
She noticed the hellhound sat up to look at her and she moved her eyes over to his, staring up at him. The sun was behind his head almost forming an angelic like form for this dark man. Aviela just smiled at him and closed her eyes. She was surprised that the mutt took offense to her little pet name for him, must be an ego thing. The fallen angel shrugged, it seemed like a fair bargain but she also knew there would come a nickname that would be far worse like princess to come. “I guess we could arrange something… Gilly.” The girl giggled at herself and peeked over at Guillotine who was now laying down. She watched him as he stretched out in the grass. She had a feeling she wasn't going to like his next answer to her question.
Avi focused herself to the hound and she had guess correctly, she didn't like his answer. He stated that he would've killed the child and her if she got in the way. Aviela rolled her eyes and starred at him. “Why.” She was very short about it and a little snappy but she fully meant it. She wanted to know the reasoning behind his answer. She was getting tired of his threats and smart a** remarks. He did have a point though, angels and demons shouldn't breed but apparently they could. If humans and fallen angels could breed, why couldn't they? Its not like she wanted to again or anything. “You're right, it isn't natural. I’m just fascinated by that idea. You have to admit though, if it would've survived, it would be one hell of a kid. Probably would tear up the town the first day out of the womb.” Avi smiled trying to get back to that light hearted state of mind.
Aviela once again found herself smiling. She adored the thought of carrying her mate, Azazel’s, child. That is something she would mind, but she didn't know how he would feel about it. She knew it would be best not to bring that up with him. Guillotine actually made her laugh at his little remark about the child. “Guillotine, any child of mine is going to be a hell raiser.” Aviela really was intrigued at the thought of a child. She shrugged and turned her body towards the hound resting her head on her elbow. “You know, you really aren't that repulsive, Gil.” She smiled at him and thought about their fights, it was mostly Azazel that was the reason for their fights, his hatred affected her opinion greatly. “Don’t get me wrong, you can be an a**hole at times. But tolerable.”
She bit her lip and watched him, why did him and Azazel hate each other so much, what started all of this? Curiosity seemed to be getting the best of her today. “Why do you and Azazel hate one another so much?” She blinked and cocked her head up looking at his pale face, waiting patiently. She decided to get a feel for things on her own now. She wasn't going to let someone bias her thoughts anymore, and she didn't care who didn't like that. Aviela was growing stronger mentally and she loved it. Now was the time she was finally getting answers for herself.

Guillotine was still unsure how he felt about Aviela at this point in time. One side of him wanted to kill her right then and there. It would be so easy. All he would have to do was get his hands around her throat. However, Guillotine’s other side was a tad bit curious about the fallen angel. Well, for one thing the beast knew he couldn’t kill her. Maybe that pushed him to be nicer to the fallen angel? If he was too rude it could cause the woman to attack him. That would easily escalate to a fight. Then that fight could possibly lead to her demise. Guillotine was confident he could take the woman out. The same couldn't be said for her boyfriend. Gil wasn’t a match for him at this point in time. Things could change though. Gil wanted to get stronger and take the male down. That would be a project for another day. On this fine evening Guillotine wanted to get a little rest and relaxation. It wasn’t everyday that he could sit back and enjoy himself. To make this day better he had company. This other being wasn’t playing the enemy card for once.
Aviela was a rather pleasant break from Gil’s usual confrontations. Sure, he didn’t entirely trust the girl. Though for the time being he wanted to live in the moment. As long as Aviela wouldn’t attack him she would be safe from his fangs, and he would be safe from Azazel. The woman would have experienced his verbal wrath if she hadn’t dropped the whole Loki thing. The last thing Gil wanted to think about was that feline shifter. He would be quick to mouth off to Aviela if she kept with that particular conversation. Lucky she dropped it. Instead she would give the male a sly comment about pet names. Her tone alone was rather humorous. The hound flashed a sharp toothed grin when Aviela said Gilly. The fallen angel then laughed. Well, two could play at this game. In a smart ass sort of tone the male replied, “Whatever you say, Cupcake.”
When the topic moved on to the child Guillotine said his peace and that was that. The male knew where he stood on the matter. He wasn’t about to go back on it. Not when he had an ex-mate that he was trying to make amends with. Guillotine looked over at Aviela before looking back up at the sky. It was clear that she wasn’t too happy about this, not that he really cared. After rolling her eyes the woman asked a new question. This particular question caused Gil to growl with irritation. Was Aviela being serious? Now she was starting to play on his nerves. Looking over at the fallen angel the hellhound gave her a nasty scowl. “Why? What do you mean why? I have my reasons.” Guillotine thought back to Akeelah for a moment. His anger soon faded and a hint of sorrow could be seen on his face. “I am not ready to be a father...”
To lighten the tension a bit Gil had said some things about the child. Aviela seemed to agree with him. She admitted to be fascinated by the idea of having an abomination. Gil didn’t get it. What was so fascinating about that? The hound merely shook his head. No wonder why Aviela was fallen. She must have been as bad as Azazel. The woman then went on to say how destructive the child would be. She did have a point there. It would turn out to be a little fend. Gil wasn’t too keen on this but he would humor her. “I suppose it would wreak some havoc. ” The beast then chuckled darkly. “I’m sure it would be like you, soft and chewy.” Guillotine didn’t like to think about what would possibly happen if the child never died. He was certain either Azazel or himself would have killed it off eventually. There wasn’t a doubt in his mind that Azazel wouldn’t want to have anything to do with the damn thing. After all, it was a child spawned from his enemy. Not only that but it could put a damper in Gil’s life as well. “I wouldn’t let it survive...” The hound mumbled under his breath. He didn’t even want to fathom what kind of damage that monstrosity could do to his chances with Akeelah. God, the more he thought about it the worse it played on his nerves. Soon enough he was craving a cigarette. “I suppose monsters can only make more monsters, right?”
Sitting up the hellhound dug into his coat pocket. He pulled out a lighter and a pack of cigarettes. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Aviela repositioning herself. She was looking over at him. With a sigh the male light up a cigarette before pushing it into his mouth. He listened to what Aviela said. Her words were a bit surprising to say the least. Placing the pack of smokes and the lighter onto the ground beside him Gil took a long drag of his cancer stick. “Good to know I've fallen into your good graces, Aviela.” The hound teased with a light chuckle. God, what was he doing? Turning to look at Aviela the hound replied. “I guess you aren’t too bad, for an angel.” Smoke lingered from his mouth as he spoke. Though, his words were true. Out of all the angels he’d run into Aviela wasn’t the worst.
As soon as the hound heard the next question leave Aviela’s mouth he immediately replied in a snippy tone. “Why do you keep asking me so many damn questions?” He felt like he was being interrogated. Was the angel this curious? The male then sighed, a cloud of smoke left his mouth. He would once again humor the woman. “Azazel and I have had bad blood since we first met. I guess our alpha personalities just clash. If he were to give in and submit to me things wouldn’t be so bad.” The male wasn’t willing to back down from Azazel, not now, not ever.
It didn’t take long for the hound to give Aviela a questionable look. He was about to ask a question of his own. Taking in a long drag he asked. “Do you regret that night we shared together in the junkyard, Aviela? Don’t try giving me a bullsh*t answer either.”

Aviela thought this day would be the worst, but she was happy and having fun, especially teasing the hellhound. The girl still wouldn't completely drop her guard but she was pretty comfortable at the moment. She watched Guillotine give her a smile, this made her blush a little and turn away. His reply made her laugh, “Cupcake? Is that really the best you can come up with?” She snorted and covered her face with embarrassment. It had been a while since she laughed with someone, it was a blissful escape. Since her return no one had made her laugh. When she finally saw Azazel, it was a bittersweet moment, not laughing and happiness. It was more of an emotional return but even then, her old home seemed so different. The people here even were acting different, I mean hell she was getting along with Guillotine, her mate’s biggest enemy.
Avi kept seeing Guillotine out of the corner of her eye glance towards her, was he planning something or admiring her? Aviela did not know how to go along with this, it was so foreign. Gil was easily irritated but he did have a good reason to be. If he kept bringing up things that didn't matter to her, she would be irritated too. She heard the beast let out a growl that made the hairs on her neck stand on end. She turned over to look at him and watched as his expression changed. “Jesus, Guillotine, you're so touchy.” She watched on as his expression changed once more, this time it was more of a pained look to her. “I-I’m sorry, I didn't realize.” Aviela actually felt remorse for making him feel this way. She shook the feeling out of mind and gave him a reassuring smile. The angel didn't want to end up in a fight now.
When Aviela spoke of their deceased child, Guillotine seemed confused. She knew he didn't feel the same way as her and nothing could change that. Her face lightened up a bit when she heard Gil speak of their abomination, he even joked a little about it. She rolled her eyes, biting her lip, he went on about not letting the child survive and Aviela just waved it away. Guillotine killing wasn't a shocker anymore, she was glad that the child was dead. If their angel-demon hybrid was born it would've been a burden, it pained her so to think that way but it was the truth. “Monsters, hmm thats new. I guess thats what we are.” She wasn't use to being called a monster, she kind of liked it though. The angel never showed her abilities in front of people, and she looked pretty human.
The more her and the hound conversed, she almost felt guilt for the way they started off. Avi liked how he kept kidding around with her, maybe she's not that bad. Hm, maybe she wasn’t. Guillotine pulled out his cigarettes and she watched him light one up, she hadn't smoked in a really long time. Avi figured that it would come to a shock to him if she asked for one. Aviela gave the male a smirk, “Can I get one, or at least a drag off of it?” She figured Gil would decline her and give her a smart remark.
Avi could tell the beast caught on to her curiousness and was getting agitated at her. “Maybe I’m trying to get to know you Guillotine. Make up for those fights, you know? Like I said before, maybe you're not so bad. The only way I know you is from fighting you and anything Azzy has told me.” She looked to the sky breathing in deeply, she was starting to get annoyed. Does this dumb mutt not know how to make friends? Aviela shook her head and closed her eyes listening to the sinister male speak once more. “You know as well as me, Azazel is never going to back down. At least, not until one of you is dead.”
The woman glanced at Guillotine again and watched him take long breaths from his cigarette, she didn't know why but she found that extremely attractive. The girl bit her lip and started thinking of Azazel, she had to behave. A questioning look appeared on Gil’s face and Avi sat up a bit waiting for him to speak. Guillotine’s question was unexpected and caught her off guard a bit. Aviela’s mouth opened to reply but no words would come out, she assumed the shocked expression on her face answered for itself. When he asked her if she regretted that night she really thought about it. She had told Azazel countless times how sorry she was and that she would take it back if she could but this was the first time Aviela actually questioned herself. She thought hard, that night was fun, she would admit that. The fallen angel hadn't felt that much pleasure in a while.
Aviela felt a tear well up in her eye when she finally realized that the only reason she had said she regretted it in the first place was because she had gotten caught. “Gil, this stays between us, okay? I… don’t regret it.” She paused waiting to see his expression. “I hate that Azazel found out but, I did think he was dead.” The girl looked away from the hellhound, she enjoyed that night and the pain from her bruised and scratched body in the morning. “If I didn't get pregnant, I wouldn't have ‘regretted’ it. If Azazel had stayed ‘dead’ I would've been fine.” Another tear fell from her eye. It was the past, what did it matter now?

A low chuckle crept from Guillotine’s lips. His forest green eyes looked over to Aviela. A hint of curiosity could be seen in those emerald orbs of his. He’d taken note of how his company was acting. Was that a blush he just saw? Interesting... Guillotine thought to himself. He took a long drag of his cigarette before tapping the ashes onto the ground. Aviela seemed comfortable with him for the moment. This was good. Soon enough she replied to his little pet name. A loud laugh crept from his lips. Aviela was an amusing angel at least. “Cupcake is one of the many names I have for you, Aviela.” The hound teased, a hint of lust was in his voice. “ But I suppose it is much better than calling you a bird, no? Maybe I should just call you my little lost lamb. Is that any better?” This little get together was becoming enjoyable. Never in his life would Guillotine have thought he would be here chatting it up with his enemy's girlfriend. The only time he truly felt a connection with Aviela was during that night at the junkyard. That was only because he was having his way with the girl. Gil shook that thought from his head. He didn’t want that kind of relationship with the angel. Even friends sounded like a bit of a stretch. Though now that Gil was here in front of the woman she really didn’t seem so bad. Hell, the two of them were actually getting along quite well. That is until Aviela asked a very interesting question. One that appeared to have irritated Gil.
The woman’s response wasn’t bad. Infact it was rather surprising. When Gil said he peace he looked over to find that the girl really did look sorry for what she had said. Why did she look that way? Aviela didn’t have a reason to be sorry. Before the female didn’t care about how Gil felt. Now things were different. Looking away his own expressions appeared to have relaxed. Guillotine still did not want to tell his woman about Akeelah. He’d sooner die than do that. Though, for Aviela’s sake, he would tell her something at least. “Lets just say that child would ruin something I hold dear. That’s all you really need to know.” Taking another drag the beast then listened to what Aviela said about them. They truly were monsters. “Indeed, we are.” The hound replied with a light smirk. Telling the angel she was a monster did seem very ironic. Angels were supposed to be righteous creatures who did good deeds. They were far from monsters. Suppose fallen angels were a totally different animal? That appeared to be the case. Gil had ran into countless angels in his lifetime. Aviela was the only one who he actually had the will to sleep with. She was different from the rest of her brethren if she was willing to lay with a demon.
Guillotine had noticed Aviela looking over at him. He turned to face her for a moment. She appeared to be eyeing his cigarette. Cocking an eyebrow the male listened to Aviela as she asked for a hit of his cigarette or an entirely new one. Gil wasn’t entirely sure what to do about this. The hound wanted to keep his cigarette. Being the greedy little bastard that he was Gil wasn’t willing to give Aviela a new one either. Hell, why give her one at all? Despite his greedy nature Gil took a long drag of his own cigarette. The tall male picked up the pack of cigarettes from the ground and put them in his pocket. It was clear now that Aviela wasn’t about to get a newly lit one. Scooting closer to Aviela the hound did something unexpected. Holding the cancer stick between his fingers he spun it around so that the lit side was facing him. The beast only did this so the woman wouldn’t get burned when she went to grab it. He then leaned over and handed it to Aviela. There was still quite a bit left on the cigarette. Guillotine hadn’t finished it. It appeared that he was willing to share. “Here, I’m done with it anyway.” The beast lied, blowing the smoke from his mouth. Gil didn’t once look at the girl while he said this. He feared she would think he was growing soft. In reality he was. Instead he watched the humans that were off in the distance. He didn’t want to see what kind of look Aviela would give him. It would probably make his stomach turn, knowing he was helping out an enemy’s girlfriend. This was going against his nature anyway. The hound wasn’t quite sure why he was being so kind. Maybe his medication had something to do with it? Hey, perhaps he could use this to his advantage? The gears within Guillotine's head began to turn. What if he used Aviela to get to Azazel? If he befriended the girl she could talk Azazel into not kill him right? Ah yes, if they were friends that could open so many doors for him. Seeing as Aviela was close to Azazel and all.
A dark smirk soon appeared onto Gil’s face. It appeared he wasn’t the only one thinking about being friends with an enemy. Aviela too seemed like she was trying to get a little closer to the hound. What she said next only strengthened Gil’s belief in this. Aviela said that she was trying to get to know Gil. She wanted to make up for the fights and really didn’t know much about him aside from what her mate told her. The hound let out a low chuckle. “I’m sure Azazel had plenty of nice things to say about me.” Guillotine teased sarcastically. He leaned back a bit and placed his hands onto the grass.
Guillotine licked his lips when Aviela spoke of Azazel. He was already starting to regret bringing up the angel’s name. There was some truth to what Aviela had said. Only one winner could come out on top between the two of them. The way things were going now it appeared that Gil would soon be put down by the angel if he didn’t get stronger. “I suppose you are right.” he cooed, lifting one his hands up to scratch the light stubble that sat on his chin. He didn’t seem frightened about the very bleak outcome that could possibly come out of his next run in with Azazel. Guillotine was a dead man walking. “I guess that is just how things have to be. When I get stronger that mate of yours will rue the day he f*cked with me.”
Thinking about their very complicated relationship did bring a smirk to Gil’s face. He needed to get his mind off Azazel, this was a start. Aviela hated Gil deep down, that the hound knew. However, now she sat here with him. The two were getting along quite well despite their past conflicts. This alone interested Gil. Though, he was getting a bit annoyed with all the questions. He let his irritation known and Aviela reacted. The hound released a sigh. Perhaps he was being a bit rash about the whole thing. “I’m not used to people wanting to get to know me, Aviela. If you haven’t noticed I’m not exactly the most approachable guy in the world.” The hound would give Aviela this one. “But, thanks...” This was rather interesting. Aviela was trying to actually be friends with him.
Soon Guillotine asked a very peculiar question. This was something he had been pondering for a very long time. He wondered if Aviela truly regretted the time they spent together at the junkyard. It was a random question. However, Gil thought it would be the perfect time to ask. Boy, was he in for a surprise. Forest green eyes glanced over at Aviela. It was clear that the woman was in a state of shock. Gil’s question had thrown her off. So much so that she opened her mouth to speak but couldn’t. Just seeing this caused Gil to chuckle. The little woman before him was speechless. When Gil saw the tear in her eye he stopped his laughing. For some reason her sorrow appeared to be taking over his thoughts. With his medication in his system it caused him to stop and think about his actions. Laughing at a time like this didn’t seem appropriate. He could feel her sadness just wafting off of her like a summer breeze. God, he needed a smoke right about now. Gil went to reach for another cigarette when the woman finally spoke. He stopped digging into his pocket and looked over at her. What did she say? The male’s eyes widened when Aviela explained herself. So, she did enjoy that evening in the car. Not just that but if it wasn’t for Azazel and the child the female said she wouldn’t have regretted their little night of fun at all. Gil wasn’t quite sure what to say. He was expecting the woman to tell him no, or rather, a hell no. When Aviela asked for the hound to keep it between them Guillotine gave the woman a nod. He wasn’t sure if he was really going to keep that promise. But if he wanted to stay on Aviela’s good side he’d have to.
Thinking over what Aviela had said the hound was in a state of shock. “I..um...wow.” It was all he could manage to say. Looking away the hound tried to collect himself. Here he thought this entire time the woman had regretted her disionson to sleep with him. Oh, how wrong he was. Gil himself enjoyed that night, though at the end of it all he did regret it. Not only had he slept with his enemy’s mate but he also betrayed his own mate as well. Looking back over at Aviela he watched as a tear ran down the side of her face. Now he really felt like a piece of sh*t. Gil hesitated for a moment, lifting his hand he gave Aviela a gentle pat on the shoulder. He hated it when he was around other people who were crying. He could feel their emotion and it influenced him. “Please, don’t cry.” He loathed this. Why had he asked her such a question? He should have known this would happen. Gil wished to cheer the young woman up. He would do just that, but in a rather inappropriate sort of way. “I didn’t think angels liked it that rough.” He teased with a playful wink. “I guess I was wrong. I suppose everyone has a little animal in them?” He moved his hand back to the ground and waited for Aviela to respond.

Guillotine made Aviela giggle at his laugh, it was cute. She wouldn't say that though, it would crush his ‘manly’ ego. Gil had many nicknames for the angel, huh? She just may have to come up with some more for the beast. “It is a lot better than a bird but, do I really look like an ‘innocent’ lamb or are we going more for the lost lamb to sacrifice?” Avi flashed him a smile showing her dimples, why couldn't there be more moments like this? She kept thinking about Guillotine, maybe they did have a connection. An angel and a demon. She scoffed at herself, what was she thinking, that was in no way shape or form possible for them. Aviela almost wished for Azazel to be here so he could take her mind off Gil. The only thing was that, she knew if Azzy would show up, it would be a fight and no more relaxing for the two.
The girl watched Gil and noted his change in expression, this was the most emotion she had ever seen the hellhound have. There had to be something going on, they never got along. She thought for a moment. Maybe the reason they didn't get along was because of her all along. Aviela’s curiosity perked up when Gil spoke of something he holds dear, there was a lot more to it than he was letting on. She bit her lip, it could well be that this mutt was capable of love. She decided not to harp on it too much, he obviously didn't want to talk about it or didn't want her to know. She decided to save that question for a later conversation.
She honed back in on the hound as he turned to face her, there was a temptation inside her growing but she pushed it to the back of her mind. The fallen angel wasn't surprised that Guillotine wasn't going to share his cigarettes with her, she just rolled her eyes at him and bit her lip. Suddenly something caught her off guard. He had scooted closer to her and that lust came back to Aviela’s mind. She saw Gil spin the cigarette towards her, handing it to her between his fingers. A sly smile appeared on her face as she looked in his eyes and took it ever so lightly with her lips. She smiled, the beast didn't want to look at her, “Whats the matter, darling? Were you never taught to share your toys?” Aviela teased at him as she laid back down and closed her eyes. “Thanks.” She took a deep drag off of her cigarette and let out a little cough, it had been a while since she smoked but it was relaxing. The thought of placing her lips where Gil’s had been was… intriguing. She giggled to herself and pushed the thought away.
Avi knew Gil must be planning something, but at the moment, she was enjoying herself and could care less. The girl opened her eyes to see Guillotine’s haunting smile creep back up onto his face. He had been smiling and chuckling a lot since they begun talking, he must be enjoying this as well as her. He brought Azazel back up, her mate never liked him and she knew he never would. “Oh Azazel is always speaking on how much he adores you, Guilly. He just wants to pick you up and kiss you all over.” Avi teased back laughing, the thought of that actually happening was a funny sight. In all honesty, they both loathed each other. The girl blew a ring with the smoke and listened to the pup, he confirmed her thoughts about Azazel and him. She didn't know Guillotine was weak, or maybe Azzy had gained strength? She cocked her head to the side looking at Guillotine. “I thought you were stronger, is that why you didn't want a fight earlier?” Aviela was starting to put pieces together, the hound must not want to mess with her because he knew Azazel would protect her. She just shook her head and looked back towards the sky.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Gil smirk once again. She wondered what was on his mind. The woman continued to speak with the mutt and was surprised to find she was actually getting somewhere with him. “Gil, if you really knew me, you would find out that looks aren't everything to me. No matter the fights we have had, it all seems like a misunderstanding.” She was taken aback when he thanked her, this was different.
Aviela took a deep breath inhaling the toxic smoke when Guillotine asked her about that night they shared together. She didn't know what to expect, things were taking a turn. She noticed he took pleasure in taking her words from her but when he noticed he struck a nerve in her, he stopped chuckling. Aviela was more confused now than ever, was he really starting to care? Avi saw him reach for his cigarettes in his pocket but halted when she gave him her most honest answer. The angel could tell he was shocked at her reply. She attempted to suck up her emotions and hide them from the hound but it was too late. The fallen angel finished her cigarette and put it out beside her. She looked at the beast, wiping her now mascara streaked cheeks away. Guillotine had agreed to keep her little secret but she didn't know if she could trust him. She couldn't have anyone knowing that it might be possible for her to have feelings for this demon. Gil was almost speechless and he was obviously shocked. Avi turned over, looking away from him. She jumped a bit when a hand patted her shoulder. Gil is comforting me? She didn't know how to react to this, let alone she didn't expect her mate’s enemy to care at all if she was upset. She heard him speak asking her to not cry, she smiled a bit through her tears. His voice was almost soothing to her, she didn't quite understand why either. “What’s the matter, Guillotine? You aren’t growing soft on me are you? I thought you bathed in the tears of your enemies.” Avi tried to tease the hound and lighten the mood. These conversations were an emotional roller coaster for them.
Aviela turned back over to face Gil and gave him a slight giggle at his remark. “Well we all know I’m not like any other angel.” This statement was true, half the things Avi took part in no other angel would. Then again, she was a fallen angel. “Gil, honestly looks like we both were wrong. I never knew a demon could be so enjoyable. But hey, easier to sin than do the greater good, right?” She bit her lip and looked Guillotine in the eyes, that temptation came flooding back into her mind full force. She quickly laid down and looked at the sky. Don’t do anything stupid. The woman thought to herself, why was it that she was so tempted with this man? “I don’t really want to go back on this subject but, what about you? You regret it, don’t you?” Aviela waited patiently for his reply. She really didn't know what to expect anymore.

Aviela and Guillotine’s relationship was a rather interesting one. The two beings were destined to be enemies. Yet, here they were chatting it up like best friends. In the past the only real time the two had ever gotten along was when they were getting into one another's pants. Lust was what brought them together. And, ironically enough, lust was what tore them from their loved ones. Hell, there was a hint of pheromones being exchanged from the two right at this very moment. Guillotine could smell it in the air. Was the past about to repeat itself? The hellhound was trying his best to behave. He'd be dammed if he cheated on Akeelah again.
Just by the way Aviela was acting Gil could tell something was up. The woman had picked a fight when she came across him today. Only when he remained calm did she back down and join him for a relaxing evening. If Aviela was truly here to hurt him she would have done so already. The angel had plenty of opportunities to get her hands around Guillotine's throat as they lied there in the grass. She wouldn't get too far with her assassination attempt if there had been one. Guillotine would be on her in a flash. Helllhound form or not the beast still had sharp teeth. By now Gil was convinced that Aviela wasn’t going to hurt him at all. Still, there was something strange going on with her. She was more bubbly than usual. They'd never laughed like this together before. Oh well, at least it made for good company right?
Guillotine looked Aviela over with those forest green eyes of his. The angel was rather amusing to say the least. Her explanation on pets names did manage to make the hound laugh. How long had it been since he’d laughed this much? After his last run in with Akeelah the hellhound was convinced that he’d never laugh again. Seeing the feline in that condition sent the hellhound into a depression. Today he was finally getting a smile or two in. This was a pleasant break from his usual woes. “I’d say you were more of a lost lamb.” The beast teased, scratching the stubble on his chin. “The way I see it you’ve already been sacrificed to a demon.” Guillotine was hinting that the sacrifice was that night in the junkyard. Maybe he was wrong? Perhaps Aviela had already lied with a demon before and he was just being pretentious?
The hound was grateful when Aviela dropped the topic about the child. He was starting to get annoyed by her prying questions. She appeared to have picked up on that. Thankfully, that topic moved onto something interesting. Aviela had asked for a cigarette.
Guillotine really didn’t want to share his cigarettes. What was he doing? He wasn’t quite sure what had possessed him to give it to Aviela anyway. Perhaps his medication was making him soft? Out of the corner of his eye Gil had seen Aviela take the cigarette with her mouth. The beast’s heart began to race. He was thankful his medication was in his system right now. It numbed a bit of his instinct. Despite being calm and collective the hound was flipping out inside of his head. Aviela was being incredibly sensual when she took the cigarette from his hand. A tiny bead of sweat rolled down Guillotine's brow. Aviela was making things difficult for him today. She was incredibly sexy and there was nothing he could do about it. Hopefully by the end of the day he would stay faithful to his one true love. When the woman finally took the cigarette away she teased the male again. This time she spoke of his toys. Gil relaxed a bit now that her mouth was away from his hand. He gave her a light chuckle. “You should know better than to ask for a dog’s toy. You might get bit. “The male cooed, he then snorted and crossed his arms in front of his chest. “You are lucky I was nice enough to give you one.” Soon after the woman thanked him. The male turned to her and gave Aviela a nod.
Could Aviela not handle the cigarette? Guillotine cocked his head to the side when he watched the woman cough. Perhaps it was too strong for her? The hound wouldn’t care. She wanted it and now it was hers. He glanced over at her for a moment. The beast couldn't help but to continue his laugh. “Don’t kill yourself.” He teased, looking her in the eye. His own orbs held a hint of excitement. “It’s pretty strong, right?” The poor woman was taking in the strongest unfiltered smokes Gil could find in the city. Guillotine didn’t know what was in the cigarettes, but really he did not care. They made him feel good and that was all that mattered. He was oblivious to the fact that they were f*cking his body up. Gil wasn't human, but the effects of his bad habit was affecting him all the same. If he conditioned his chain smoking habits he'd need the assistance of an iron lung.
Aviela took a few hits of his cigarette before speaking again. She stated that Azazel just adored him. The beast could pick up on the sarcasm in her voice. When she continued the hound tried to hold in his laugh. “He wants to kiss me all over, huh? That sounds incredibly hot.”The beast joked. Aviela began to laugh her explanation. Laughter must have been contagious because Gil himself started laughing too. He couldn’t quite imagine Azazel kissing him, much less adoring him. It was funny. The hound would throw his two cents in. “By kiss you mean stab, right?” Yeah, that sounded more realistic. Azazel loved that holy blade of his. Gil shuttered at the thought of being stabbed with it again.
Gil watched the smoke ring that Aviela blew slowly drift off into the air. The hound was intrigued by this. He’d never been able to make one of those, not matter how much he tried. One day he’d have to ask Aviela how she does it. When Aviela questioned Guillotine’s strength the hound froze. He'd completely forgotten about the smoke ring now. Dark thoughts swirled within his skull. Did she think he was weak? This wasn’t good. Gil was quick to correct her. Medication or not the beast still didn’t want to come off as being weak. “I-I am strong. Just not as strong as Azazel, yet. ” The hound then shook his head. Her next question was a bit easier to answer. “I want to relax. I’d rather not fight on a lovely day like today.” Gil said as he looked up at the sky. This was partially true. The hound just wanted to relax. Though, in the back of his mind he knew the real reason why he didn’t outright attack Aviela was because of Azazel.
Aviela certainly had a way with words. When the angel spoke again she stated that their fights seemed to be stemmed from a simple misunderstanding. The hellhound didn’t agree. It was in their blood to fight. “I don’t know about that Aviela.” Gil then shook his head. He turned his attention to the smaller woman. “If you weren’t buddy-buddy with Azazel I still think I would kill you, just because of what you are.” The hound then looked away. He appeared confused for a moment. He couldn't quite understand why he was being so nice to Aviela. It was a sign that his medication was working. This was good. He seemed to forget to tell the angel about his medication. “You are right about one thing, Aviela. Now that I am getting to know you a little better I see that you aren’t so bad.”
When Aviela began to cry the hellhound didn’t quite know what to do at first. If he hadn’t been under the influence of the drugs he would have used Aviela’s sorrow to his advantage. Chances were his instinct would either make him force himself onto her or kill her outright. Thankfully, today would be different. Gil had hesitated before placing a hand on Aviela’s shoulder. He wished she would stop. He could feel that she had jumped when he touched her. She obviously wasn’t expecting it. However, this simple touch appeared to help. The female’s body felt warm under his hand. Gil would move a bit closer to her, just for her warmth.
The hound rolled his eyes like a cocky teen when Aviela spoke of him being soft. She was attempting to rid the tension from the air. Well, it worked. Gil pulled his hand back. “Only in your dreams, Doll. This is better than snapping your neck, right?” The male then laughed for a moment before resting his hand on the grass beside him. “I just don’t like crying okay. I would have shut you up by chopping down on your throat, but I like talking to you.“ The hell beast was trying to appear touch. Even though he was failing miserably. “I only bath in the tears of my enemies, Aviela” He cooed, hinting that he didn’t really see Aviela as an enemy. Right now she was changing the hellhound's mind about her. Sure, she was a bit annoying before but now Aviela appeared to have matured since their last run in.
When Aviela spoke about their time together the hellhound nodded. She mentioned she wasn't like other angels. “Yeah, I can see that. I don't think any other angel would let a demon hump their backside.” Guillotine then laughed. What the woman said next did catch him off guard a bit. Aviela stated that she didn't know a demon could be so enjoyable. If this didn’t stroke Gil’s over inflated ego nothing else would. He as enjoyable, huh? Gil would let that sink in. He relished the confident feeling he was getting now. The hound then laughed again when she mentioned sin. “I suppose you are right. That sounds kind of strange coming from an angel.”
When Aviela asked about his option the hound thought this over for a moment. He really did enjoy his time with her. Yet, he did f*ck up by laying with an angel. Not only that but he cheated on his mate with her. That had been the biggest mistake he had made. It took a moment for Guillotine to speak. It was clear that he was thinking his words over before saying them. “Yes and no.” He began,“The only reason why I regret it now was because I was being unfaithful to someone I really care about. Lets jus say you weren’t the only cheater back then.” The hound then grumbled. Akeelah was never the same after she found out he had been cheating on her. Guillotine didn’t want to think about that now. Shaking the thought from his head he continued. Forcing a smile onto his face he looked to Aviela. “And no...because quite honestly I had the time of my life that night. I didn’t have to hold back with you and I kinda’ liked that.” The beast then chuckled a little thinking how many times he’d bitten the woman that night. Both of them came out of that car with scratches, bite marks, and bruises. Their time together was quite enjoyable. The next morning however had been a bit irritating. Gil could recall Aviela getting angry because he didn’t use any protection. Back then the beast didn’t quite understand the reasoning behind his. He’d never seen human protection as belifical. This was due to the fact that he didn’t think he could produce a child with anything. The beast had been around the block countless times. Back then he had been a sex addict. After a while Guillotine began to suspect he was shooting blanks. Oh, how wrong he was. Nowadays it was different. He knew he was capable of rearing a child with not only an angel, but a shape shifter as well. He was learning from his mistakes. Though he'd seen Akeelah's pregnancy as anything but a mistake, it was a miracle. “Now I can see why you freaked out about the whole condom thing. I didn’t think it was that much of a big deal until now. “ The hound then shrugged. It was all in the past now. He would mention Akeelah again, but god forbid if he said her name.
“If I wasn't trying to make up with that someone I wouldn’t mind going for round two.” The beast replied with a playful wink. He was merely teasing. The beast wouldn’t dream of betraying Akeelah again. Not after all that he’d put her through. However, he couldn't help but to tease the fine woman. Flirting was just in his nature. Guillotine watched Aviela lay back down in the grass after putting her cigarette out. He sat there for a moment, watching her. This was when he got an idea. Why did he need to prop his head up with his hands when he had something that could do it for him? Moving over to Aviela the beast turned around and lied the back of his head on her stomach. He then looked up at the sky and smiled. A pleased sigh then crept from his lips. Today was proving to be a very good day.
