APPEARANCE
Human Appearance
Nami is one of the types of choronzon that looks more human than demon…well loosely so. She can easily pass for a human being if she really wanted to but she rarely does. Nami is the type of person that loves to stand out, the kind of person that is difficult not to notice and that is just the way she likes it. With her pale skin, tall, slender frame, luscious curves, blood red lips, and long vibrant red hair Nami has a body to die for and she knows it. Her style is also another part of her that makes her noticeable. That dark gothic flare makes her look both dangerous and alluring. A few things have changed about her appearance over her years roaming around the world. The one of the biggest changes was her hair. Her once bright red hair has been dyed blue. She braids it occasionally whenever the mood strikes her to. Why did she dye her hair? She can't really say, maybe it was just a spark of insanity or just a desire for some kind of change but she liked it enough to keep it. Of course there are a few physical traits that mark her as less that human. That pale skin of hers is so white that it’s unnatural, closer to a vampire’s skin than a human who just hates the sun. Her nails are also quite peculiar, unlike normal human beings Nami has natural blood red nails, long, sharp, and hard, almost impossible to clip, not like she would bother to try. Her most dangerous feature is her eyes, or more specifically one eye. The red eye on her right side, often referred to as “The Chaos Eye” holds her true power. Anyone who looks at it will either have their sanity stolen from them or will be forced to live out their most deepest and darkest fears. Luckily for most of mankind Nami keeps that eye closed and hidden underneath her hair unless she plans to use it. The only eye anyone ever sees is the left eye which is a light shade of grey, sometimes silver in the right light. The last and most revealing of her true nature is the mark on her upper right arm which is the symbol that shows that she is a choronzon. Most humans and even supernaturals that do not know of her race easily mistake this symbol as just a tattoo.
Berserker Appearance
Like some of her kind Nami is capable of changing her form slightly. This new form however is not something that she can turn into at will. The only time she can turn into this is when she reaches her limit in a fight or at times when she completely loses psychological control. When in this form Nami’s body grows bigger, her height increases, and her muscles become more prominent. Her nails also grow rapidly, resembling claws more than actual nails, and she grows fangs. Even her eyes change in this form both of her eyes become red and her chaos eye seems to glow. Finally Nami grows out long black bat-like wings.
PERSONALITY
Nami is the kind of person no one would want to bump into unless they are fond of pain. This creature is known for her cruelty and sadistic tendencies. She loves making others suffer mentally and physically. In her perspective people are nothing more than toys for her to amuse herself with until they break. She is completely unsympathetic to the suffering of others; in fact she finds their agony amusing and will rub a person’s weaknesses in their face just to watch them squirm. Nami just loves to see how far she can push a person till they break. The majority of her victims live, torturing the poor thing till they are driven to insanity you because in her eyes the only person that matters is herself. Naturally that means making friends or even lovers is not the easiest thing in the world for her to do. But friendships are meaningless, they can only hold you back so whats the point in making any?
Nami easily comes off as a woman with no morals she does what she wants when she wants and if someone gets hurt in the process, she could care less about the consequences. In her world the only rules that matter are your own and the only rules that will ever exceed them are someone stronger than you. Of course she is well aware of human morals and likes to twist them just for fun. Naturally being the type of person that she is she doesn’t have to justify her actions to anyone. Who gives a crap about what a soon to be dead man thinks anyway? Not only will Nami twist and manipulate things to fit her needs but she manipulates the people around her as well. This means that she can become quite controlling. No matter what she has to be the one on top, she doesn’t mind a good fight but if her opponent gets the better of her she won’t be pleased, and when she gets angry, it’s difficult to get under her skin by insulting her, even trying to hurt her (unless you are seriously overpowering her) at most will only amuse her.
There is no way that anyone can describe what makes Nami who she is without pointing out her insanity. Nami tends to lose control of herself a lot, succumbing to bloodlust in the rush of battle or going berserk when her life is at risk. Her insanity is even more apparent when she is having psychotic episodes she seems to hear voices in her head and see things that aren’t there. These incidents are of her having flashbacks though she is not aware of their origins, the bigger the break down the more vivid the hallucinations. It’s about the only time that Nami ever seems afraid.
SPECIES
**WARNING this will be a LONG description**
The Basics:
The choronzon are a very unique species because they are not born but created. In essence a choronzon is the end result of a fusion between a human and demon to create a single new entity. This race was created by summoners, people who specialize in summoning demons from the underworld, and controlling those monsters to do their bidding. The summoners designed this race for the sole purpose of having a powerful being to keep under their complete control for as long as its master desires. A choronzon, though only carries some of the traits of the demon bound inside the human body, those traits differ depending on the type of demon used in the fusion and much of the demon’s powers the choronzon obtains in the process. But some basic abilities are the same for all of them, this race all possess inhuman strength, speed, and are naturally quick healers who can survive from injuries that would normally kill the average human. Choronzons also have a ‘mark’ on their body made from the blood of their creator to bind them to their maker. The mark is created soon after the fusion process, drawn on the body in its creator’s blood and bound by magic. The only way that this bond can be broken is when the creature’s master dies or is freed, new bonds can only be made through a new master tracing the mark with their own blood.
The Creation:
As stated before choronzon are a race created by demon summoners by combining both a human and a demon together to make a new being. This is done through a complex ritual. The summoner selects a human to become the vessel; usually a child, the summoners summons and binds a demon of their choice to he vessel. This ritual is rarely performed because this success rate is extremely low. Most attempts end in failure, and those failures usually results in both the summoner’s and the vessel’s gruesome death. Even if the ritual is successful the creature takes awhile to fully form. During this time the vessel undergoes dramatic changes, some of which can result in the vessel’s death before it can completely form.
Side Effects:
- Degeneration: This is one of the few rare side effects that can happen during the vessel’s transformation. If the vessel cannot adapt to the changes, or if their body tries to reject the changes they will rapidly decay and die. This side effect was very common with older vessels because their bodies could not adjust as quickly as a child’s.
- Body alterations: This is a very common side effect that almost all vessels go through after the ritual. The vessel goes through physical changes, taking on the appearance of the demon possessing it. The physical changes differ between individuals, some look more human than others. It is also possible for those that are more human in appearance to morph, usually when they are tapping into their true powers.
- Insanity: This is a side effect that ALL vessels go through after the process. When the demon is forced into the vessel it does not simply resign to its fate but seeks to take complete control over the vessel’s body. The mental strain it takes in order to prevent this is difficult and many go completely mad in the process and kill themselves, while a few manage to survive, the psychological damage is deep.
- Loss of self: Just like insanity this is a side effect that always happens. Demon and human both mind and body becomes one, creating a new being. Whoever the vessel was, whatever made that vessel human is now lost and will never return. Some have little memory of their human life, and/or demon life but those memories are few. Those that have these memories are extremely rare.
- Aging: For choronzons aging is rather unstable. Some of their kind age slowly and could possibly be immortal; others age rapidly and live only ten years or less, while others age the same rate as humans. No one really knows how or why this happens so no one knows how long they can live.
Lifespan when it comes to choronzons is a tricky subject because there are so few of them to determine this. From the few of the species that do exist this changes. Some only last for a few years, some can live as long as the average human, while others can exceed the average life expectancy.
Nami's little secret:
Nami does a very good job keeping what she is a mystery. There are very few people alive in the world that know what she is and the origin of her birth. For those that figure it out or in the unlikely event she actually reveals her origins you will find out that Nami was originally a poor little human girl named Sophie who was fused with a powerful Chaos demon. She was one of those few choronzons that maintained a mostly human form, she even remained the sex her human body had been born despite being fused with a male demon. All her insanity related powers come from the Chaos demons natural abilities to tamper with their victims sanity. Unfortunately she has less of a grip on reality than most of her species because of the demon she was made from. She has vivid hallucinations from time to time. These hallucinations are mostly bits and pieces of the two lives she had once lived (most so far have been of her human life) but she has no idea of the true nature of her delusions. She remains ignorant of what her life was before her creation. How long she will live is also a mystery to her, she has guessed because of how slowly she has aged over the years that she is one of the few with a long lifespan, maybe even immortality.
ABILITIES
Strengths
- Very strong, even compared to most supernaturals.
- Natural high tolerance for pain.
- Can steal/drain sanity from others with the use of her chaos eye.
- Can also use her chaos eye to create illusions (normally of whatever the target fears the most).
- Her regenerative powers are fairly high, she is capable of regenerating limbs she loses in battle.
- Naturally high resistance for most poisons, sedatives, and dieases.
- Has a special silver necklace that turns into a giant two handed axe that she uses in combat. (the item is not directly related to her powers but is bound to her.)
- Berserk: When in great peril or mental instability Nami undergoes a physical transformation. (Both her eyes turn red, wings sprout out of her back, nails turn into claws, etc.) This form increases her physical power, pain tolerance, and insanity powers (technically speaking).
Weaknesses
- For all her physical strength Nami is slow in combat. At best she is a little faster than the average human but that is nothing impressive.
- Her regeneration powers come at a price. While she can heal from a lot of damage, the more severe it is the longer it takes to heal from. To make the process go faster takes a lot of energy and can even be painful. regrowing limbs is especially long, taking up to a week on average to fully heal and is agonizing on her throughout the entire process.
- Her tolerance for pain may be high but by no means does it not exist. Serious damage can and will hurt no matter how much pain she can handle.
- Because of her insanity powers Nami needs to feed off of the sanity of others every once in awhile to maintain her own sanity. The longer she goes without feeding off of someone causes her to hallucinate and even become a danger to herself (she will literally tear out her own flesh just to kill herself in the worst case scenario.
- Because she normally keeps her chaos eye closed most of the time she can only see out of one.
- Nami can only make others hallucinate with the use of her chaos eye. What her victims actually see when she uses its power she has no control over. She can't manipulate what they witness, see, or feel when her powers are in use. The effects of that power are only felt for one or two hours at best. Its not permanent.
- Is very vulnerable to magic.
- Can be bound to anyone that knows how to use her mark.
- Has to obey her master’s command if bounded to one.
- Can be killed if her head is removed her body is torn apart, or suffers severe damage to the heart.
- Nami can only go into berserk mode if she is in serious danger, or if her mental stability is so low that she loses control over herself. It is not a power she can use at will. The power itself also comes at a price. While it gives her a boost in most of her better aspects it takes a toll on her stamina. Once Nami is burned out she returns to normal and blacks out.
- In order for her chaos eye to work on her victims she needs to make eye contact with them.It has no effect at all on the blind.
- When in berserk mode both her eyes become chaos eyes. While both eyes can cause the same effects as normal they also mess with her ability to see. Her vision is over all shorter and hazy.
HISTORY
There are too many gaps in Nami's memory for her to give an accurate story about her past. She knows what she is, and why she was made. She had spent over thirty years as a slave to her creator. She did whatever was ordered to do, killed whoever he wanted. But one day something happened, she found an opportunity to have her master killed. A very hard thing to accomplish for someone magically bound to the one who made them. The details on how that happened are...fuzzy at best. It didn't matter how she did it, the only thing that mattered was that she was free to do whatever she wanted...and what she wanted to do was kill. The rest of her life has been spent traveling around and killing whoever and whatever she pleases until there is someone strong enough to put her down. Her murder spree has brought her back to New Orlands once again to wreck havoc.
PLAYER INFORMATION: Akeekitty
PREVIOUS CHARACTER: Mugen Takamori
EXTRAS: Like most of her kind Nami doesn't have much memories of the time that she was human or demon. But unlike her kind those memories do find their way back to her from time to time. Unfortunately they normally come as hallucinations. The more her mind begins to slip into madness the more memories she regains. The memories that come are...confusing at best. There is no structure to them, they can either be flashes of people, places, or events that had happened in the past. Since she bears the minds of two beings these memories can come from either her demon half or her human half which only makes things more confusing. Whether she is trying to just save her sanity or is truly unaware Nami doesn't realize that these hallucinations are actually memories from her past.
