A loud growling could be heard though out the kitchen as the black haired, female agent looked around fridge and cubboards, looking for something to eat. She didn't know how to cook, she didn't know what cooking even involved. Where was the bloody meat? Couldn't they just get normal prey and serve it bloody? Grumbling, Roanna eyed the supply of apples on the counter in a bowl of fruits. Apples choked her once, was she willing to go down that path again?
The growl sounded again and Roanna hissed at it, her bladed tail twitching dangerously. The six foot horned agent grumbled once again and grabbed an apple from the bowl, staring at it with murder in her eye. She put it back and looked around. "Why must cooking be important? What is this cooking and how does it improve the taste of meat?" She asked aloud, to no one in particular. Her search started once again. "And why must this cooking be.....hard?"

Something to eat would do him good, he'd been in the labs for most of the day. Sure he had been in his living quarters when asleep but that was...many hours ago. Ears twitched to teh sound of growling and he raised a furry brow. Well now, someone sounded like they were unhappy. Putting a paw against the door, he pushed though the door didn't move and he sighed.
Of course, you can't open doors like that anymore Owen. Owen thought in his head as a unhappy expression took over his furry face.
Putting his side against the door, he pushed with all his might for a few moments before the door started to open. He had to be quick to get into the kitchen and once it was open enough, he jumped in with the door swinging shut behind him. Panting a bit, he soon shook it off as he walked around. Though he ducked when a tail lashed about, well he found the source. Crawling a bit, he soon sat up once he was out of the tail's way and he looked up at the woman who was clearly unhappy.
"Well you don't have to cook it if you don't want so long as it's for you to eat, which if I'm right it is." Owen suggested. "Normally putting seasonings of some kind like pepper or paprika changes the flavor of meat when it is cooked."
Why must cooking be hard? Hm...ears twitched as he looked to the side in thought. Well not everyone was a great master chef, Owen certainly wasn't. He was a okay cook when he had hands but now? Heck, best he could do was dog food or stealing something raw from the fridge when someone wasn't looking. Before he got into his current situation, he never ate meat raw. But his body was different now and could actually handle such a thing without getting sick.
"Not sure on that last one." Owen answered after a moment.

Why must she be a picky eater? It came with the species being related to dagon, that was why. Damn meat had to be fresh or it wasn't good enough to eat. Eleven ears twitching she looked behind her at the sound of someone, or something, coming to the door. At first no one came though and Roanna went back to scavaging. The door opened as her long tail twitched again and she stood up, looking behind her. Her golden eye spotted the half breed canine and she watched him intently. There was a look as if she was about to prounce on the canine but in the end she decided not to.
Confused by what the English speaking canine was saying, Roanna moved her head so her white eye looked at him. "Seasoning? Is that what steak has on it? Seasoning doesn't sound very good. Steak didn't sound to pleasing either..." Stomach growling she let out another hiss. White eyes flashing her two set of horns seemed to disappear along with her tail; the golden eye turned to dark green and the white to a light green. She seemed more....relaxed around the world dog agent, despite his gender.
"The cold meat they keep isn't sayisfying. Why would you the cold meat here, canine? Or the disgusting food they give 'pets'?" Roanna didn't understand the humans here. Were they not aware that the felines and canines needed real food?

"Some people put seasoning on steak and other types of food. And steak is a specific part of the cow that it comes from. I'm not sure what part exactly but steak is just the term for it." Owen answered. "Well everybody likes what they want, no harm in not liking it if you don't."
He could go for a steak though, the juicy meat and the flavor. Taking a seat on the ground, he debated about seeing if there was any raw steak in the fridge. No. Not yet. He was having a conversation with the agent and by going for food, he would be ignore her. Not a good thing to do. Course, he wasn't too thrilled by being called a canine as well as a...pet." Well she didn't know who he was so, he couldn't really get made with her.
"Well they keep the meat cold to preserve it so it lasts longer and therefore doesn't rot and becomes un-edible. Course if it stays in the fridge for too many weeks or months, it'll rot anyway." Owen explained. "My name is Owen Sherlock, Madam and I'm a scientist here, sometimes a field agent but mainly just a scientist. Cold meat is better than the only other thing I can eat since I lack thumbs and fingers."

Huh, this other 'agent' knew his stuff about food. Studying him, she couldn't tell what he was exactly. A talking wolf dog. She seen wolves, they were expert hunters, and because of that she never ate one with out reason. With that said, if people were keeping an eye on the gender wolf ratio, males were low and there would be more females.
A dangerous look flashed in the women's eyes. She could eat this wolf dog for lunch if she wanted. Fresh meat while raw was good, and Roanna wouldn't have any it other way, yet. Snapping her self out, the now invisible tail twitched . "Well, let the humans ruin the meat their own way. I'll suffer though it and hunt later."
He introduced her self and she couldn't help but snort. A scientist? She didn't know Mich of the job, as it was for the males and only the males of her species. It was a weak position. Studying for him a bit she finally spoke. "Field agent Roanna Knight. What are you, exactly? You are not human, at least you do not look it."

Seeing the look, Owen's ears slanted a bit as he just stared back. Should he be concerned? Such a look always meant danger. Besides, even though he was male and all, he was still a human. He used to eat his meat the same way as they did.
"They do it to avoid diseases that can be spread that way and thus affect them. Now I don't think that goes with the supernatural." Owen added to his explantian. "You know, there's prboably raw meat in the fridge that you can just heat up with the microwave or is thawed so it's not ice cold if you want to eat something right now."
Just trying to be helpful. That could awalys backfire and greatly. Course who'd beleive a wolf-dog. Hearing her snort, his ears lowered as he gave a slightly narrowed look to her. Well, that was uncalled for. The role of scientist was open to all. Sure men were doing it for a much longer time but women were capable of doing it as well.
"Pardon me but, what is funny?" Owen asked, though he soon had to answer her question. "I'm a human. I just had a accident in my original workplace and I woke up in the body of a wolf-dog. My real body laying across from me. Course that body is now buried in the ground and even if I had a means to put my mind back in there, which I don't. I can't really use my own body anymore since...well....three years of decompasition, not a pretty sight most likely."
