The wind picked up as Masiro entered the park. The atmosphere felt....familiar? He couldn't place it. He knew he had been there before yet at the same time it was as new to him as it would be any toddler travelling out of the city for the first time. He could navigate around and almost felt like he knew where he was going. It was....well honestly it was the strongest feeling of Deja Vu he had ever had and it was almost bothering.
He made his way to a nearby bench and sat down. He reclined ever so slightly and stared straight up into the sky. "What is this place? How'd I get here?" Questions flew through his mind similar to a 17th century philosopher. "Why am I here? Is there something going on here?" The thoughts kept flowing. He leaned back forward and stared down at the ground. He muttered out loud "This certainly isn't getting me anywhere." Something was nagging at the tips of his consciousness telling him he should know these things. Frustrated, he returned to his reclined position again staring at the sky.
"This isn't funny you know," he put forth as if someone was going to answer him. "What did I do to get stuck here without a clue, a friend, or any help?" A bird chimed out from a nearby tree, the wind picked up again, and the clouds kept rolling but nothing answered his questions. He looked down and pulled his shirt away from his chest and gazed at the tattoo on his chest. It was roughly the size of a fist and engraved above his heart. Another nagging feeling struck him and he huffed in frustration. He resigned to closing his eyes and letting this almost constant state of tired take over. A soft snore escapes from his mouth.

Another day, another great time for a midday stroll. Spoon was more than happy to be able to stretch his legs out and relax today. It was such a relief to be able to just do whatever he wanted when he felt like it. Despite what many people thought Spoon didn't always get to have his way. He was a busy man, he had sh*t to do. It was a lot of work running your own youtube channel, and doing video projects with friends. Even if that work consisted of him sitting on his butt and playing video games all day, there was plenty of parts to that job that was boring as fuck to do. Then when you added his PIDA work on top of that shit was down right chaotic. If you wanted a challenge try juggling multiple jobs at once. When Spoon wasn't working on his videogame career he was buried under paperwork, running around on various missions, and getting yelled at by his peers to keep his damn pants on. While Spoon still wanted to be a super special awesome secret agent even had to admit that working with the PIDA was not as glamourous as he thought it would have been.
Spoon shook the thoughts about all his work out of his brain. God damn it he needed to not think about work on his time off. That's right, it was that glorious time again where Spoon had time off. As agreed to by the organization before he started working for them, Spoon was allowed every other week off duties. It had been necessary for the young man to make such an arrangement with the PIDA before hand, with the workload of the average agent on his shoulders there was no way that he would be able to maintain the job he already had if he didn't get some time off to do it. The second that he had time off he spent it all burying himself on his channel work. It was pretty helpful but still draining after some time. That was what his life had become, nothing but constant work all while trying to remain sane. This time was a little different though, for once the young man would be able to fucking relax on his days off. Why you might ask? Well instead of one week off like normal Spoon managed to get himself two weeks off. That's right not one, but two weeks.
Oh god how Spoon needed those two weeks. After awhile of running from one job to the next he was just about ready to rip his hair off and scream to the heavens for mercy. The agency heard his pleas and granted him a little bit of personal time off to recharge his sanity which he was grateful for. He planned to make every moment of this break time off count. Though the first day he didn't end up doing anything exciting. One day one Spoon had gone shopping for himself, his pets, and his roommates, then spent the rest of the day on the couch in his boxers nomming on some snacks while watching TV with the people that mattered most in his life. It wasn't the most exciting thing in the world to do, but it made him feel at peace and he enjoyed it. Much like yesterday today was going to be something pretty low key and relaxing. Today he would go out for a walk in the park! It was the perfect time to do so, it was nice and sunny out, it was not too hot nor too cold either. This was just the kind of thing he needed. Something pleasant but not too over the top. For once he was going out without any intent of causing mischief. He even kept his pants on this time. That in itself was an accomplishment.
The park proved to be as peaceful and relaxing as he had thought it would be. Spoon took his time walking through, watching all the little kids playing on the playground with their little friends, their parents watching over them while gossiping to one another, joggers running past him, and dog owners walking their cute little doggies. Man this was pretty neat. It was a bit of shame that he couldn't really join any of these people on their fun little day. Spoon wasn't a child anymore where he could freely play on the swing sets without getting strange looks, he hadn't gotten far enough with Meena yet for him to have children that he could take outside for some fun time, while he had some pets he didn't have a dog he could take out for walks, at best he could take his miniture pony Fork for a walk, but he hadn't thought about that when he left. It was a shame, he couldn't join anyone here without feeling a bit awkward but that wasn't that big of a deal he could find something else to amuse him later.
And oh did he ever find something. While Spoon was minding his own business he started to come towards some dude sitting on a bench, looking up at the sky. There was nothing out of the ordinary about a dude sitting on a bench in a park, but it was what he was doing that was odd. He was talking, at first Spoon didn't think much about it, maybe the guy was on his bluetooth or something. But then he noticed as he was about to walk by that there was no wireless device on him. If that wasn't weird enough what he was saying was weird too. He was asking where he was and what he was doing in a place like this but it wasn't directed at anyone. Spoon just watched him for a moment as the man spoke to himself. How could someone not know what they were doing in life? He just couldn't understand that. Spoon knew who he was and what he was doing all the time. Listening to this guy speak made him feel a little sorry for him.
"What did I do to get stuck here without a clue, a friend, or any help?"
“If it's a friend you are looking for then I will be your friend.” Spoon said as he stood in front of the strange man, his horse mask only a mere inches from the man's face. To any sane person having a totally masked stranger invade your personal space would no doubt freak them out, but Spoon being the oblivious idiot that he was didn't think about this when he came up to this guy. Most of what the man was muttering to himself was too confusing to understand, but that last part he could...well...he kind of understood. This guy wanted a friend? Well he was about to get one whether he liked it or not. “Hi there! My name is Spoon, I'm your friend now!” Spoon offered his hand out for a friendly shake. “So new friend, what's your name? What do you need help with? I can totally help you out with stuff!”

Masiro almost fell over backwards as this deranged looking individual came up to him and started to speak. It wasn't every day that you saw someone in a horse mask walking about the park. Surprisingly though another gut feeling kicked in and reminded him that this was the least scary of the strange things he had seen before. He was getting really tired of that feeling though. It would be different if it came with memories to back itself up but it was like a bitchy girlfriend. Taunting you and infuriating you in one motion.
“If it's a friend you are looking for then I will be your friend.”
Now that was a thought. Sometimes he wondered if fate was playing some kind of cruel and unusual joke on him. This was what he just asked for though. The old saying seemed to hold true, be careful what you wish for. He scanned over the gentleman in front of him. "Well there could probably be worst candidates for friend ship out there," he thought to himself. "Well that's actually probably a lie but at this rate I'll take the bottom of the barrel over an empty barrel." He stood up as the man in front of him continued to speak.
“Hi there! My name is Spoon, I'm your friend now!”
The man shoved his hand out like it was a trophy.
“So new friend, what's your name? What do you need help with? I can totally help you out with stuff!”
Masiro stared at the empty hand for a second then thrust out his own hand. Something....crazy seemed to tug at his mind. A quote from a movie floated through his head. "I am Jack's wasted life." He let the thought float back away and released the mans hand. "My name is...." He had to think about it for a second. "Masiro" Sometimes he wondered if that was right or if he just said that out of habit. "That's uh....some mask you have there kid. Are you a.." He paused dramatically in preparation for a really terrible line. "Part of the Neeeiigghhborhood watch around here?" He snickered loudly to himself. If there was anything he was good at it was really terrible jokes and puns. Combine the two and he could get boo'd off the stage at a laughing gas convention.
He let the grin fall off his face as he contemplated on anything that he would say next. Granted this guy was exactly what he asked for but at the same time he wondered if it was even a guy at this point considering the mask. His internal monologue kicked in and the metaphorical devil and angel jumped up to his shoulders. "Well it can't hurt to tell him that you have no memories" That one had to be the angel. "Jumping in front of a train probably won't hurt that bad either but you haven't done that either." And there goes the devil with his chime in. "Worst thing that'll happen is you gain a friend." "No the worst thing that could happen is you gain a rapist." Sometimes the Devil in him was surprisingly rude. It was becoming harder each day to tell which one of them was the voice of reason anymore. Sometimes the greater good seemed to make less sense than his chances of survival.
"I....uh..." He finally gave in. "I actually have no idea what my problem is to be honest." He relaxed as he spoke even though he was still marginally confused about the horse mask. "Woke up this morning and I was dead....tired and somewhere over there," he said as he pointed vaguely. "Kinda feels like a hangover but with more memory loss and less vomit. I figured if I sat here long enough something would hit me and maybe I could remember something." It wasn't all that bad spilling the proverbial beans about his situation. "What about you friend? You just out here....horsing around?" If you listened closely you could probably hear God groan in the background as he waited for a reply.

The stranger seemed a little surprise at Spoon's entrance and who could blame him? Sure the guy was a little oddball sitting there on a park bench talking to himself, but he was rather harmless. He was just there, doing his own thing when suddenly a masked stranger popped up in his line of sight declaring to be his new friend. Yes this situation was a strange one indeed. The question was, was this what the strange man wanted? Spoon sure hoped it was. He didn't like the idea of him being rejected here. He was only trying to help, this guy seemed a little lost and lonely. Hell the dude just admitted out loud that he didn't have a friend in the world. That was just silly, there was no one in the world that didn't have a friend. Well...besides newborn babies, those little dudes had parents but not friends, then there were the loner kids at school, severely bullied children, people that lived in total isolation, then there were those who just lost all their friends in tragic or freak accidents...gah! What was he thinking?
Okay so there were people in the world that didn't have friends, but today was this guy's lucky day because he wouldn't be friendless. Whether Spoon notice that the other man seemed a little wary of him or not no one could tell for certain. Either ways that didn't stop him from being a friendly guy and offering his hand out to shake. The man seemed to pause for a moment, again the man spoke to himself, considering the proposal that Spoon offered to him. Spoon like the polite person that he was didn't interrupt him and waited patiently for him to reach a decision. What was he going to do? Would he accept? Would he reject him? Would he get cake? He wouldn't know unless he let the man decide on his own. And decide he did. He seemed a little wary still but willing to give this new friendship a shot. Hearing that acceptance brought a smile to Spoon's face. With that in order he got introductions out of the way. With a few words and a handshake Spoon soon got a name out of his new found friend.
“Masiro huh? Cool name, but not as cool as mine.” the man teased. Masiro's question made the young man laugh. “HAHAHA you are a very punny guy aren't you.” he giggled. Man Spoon loved puns, he could see that this was already the start of a beautiful relationship. It was nice having another funny guy that he could hang out with. Spoon hated to think like this, but the people that he was hanging around as of late were such sticks in the mud sometimes. People like TB took life too seriously sometimes. Spoon missed having someone he could laugh with, or at least at. This guy at least would be of some help in that regard. “No I am not part of the neighbourhood watch I'm just.....horsing around.” Two could play at the pun game. Spoon might not be the most clever person in the world but he knew how to be funny. He couldn't let Masiro have all the fun.
The conversation shifted for a moment to something more serious as the man explained what his problem was. Spoon rubbed his chin, or rather the chin on his horse mask in thought. So his new buddy Mas was suffering from Amensia. The young agent looked his new friend over carefully. He didn't seem to be suffering from a hangover, or any kind of head injury. Just to be sure though Spoon leaned in a little closer to look his head over carefully. Spoon didn't bother asking if he could touch Masiro, he just reached out to feel around his head for a moment. “Hmmmm....well I don't feel any lumps on your head so I don't think you forgot anything because of a brain injury.” Spoon the average Joe couldn't think of anything that could have caused this problem, but perhaps Spoon the secret agent could? Spoon put his metaphorical agent hat on as he considered all the possibilities.
“Maybe someone did this to you. Do you remember having a run in with anyone before you woke up?” he asked. Maybe someone with magic powers erased his memories, there was bound to be someone with that kind of power capable of erasing memories. Hell it could even be someone with the same power as his. While Spoon only seemed capable of confusing others it wasn't out of the realm of possibility that another psychopath mastered the art of erasing memories. “What else do you remember besides your name? Do you remember if you have a place to stay? If you don't you can totally stay with me till you remember something. Even if you don't remember anything it would be nice to have a roof over your head right?” It was the least he could do. It was obvious that Masiro needed some help, and luckily for him he just made the right friend for it. He would have said more if Mas didn't ask him what he had been up to. “Oh me? I was just trotting along, minding my own business when I saw some dude talking to himself. And I thought, hey, this guy seems interesting lets talk to him! And here I am chilling with you and offering you a place to stay while you try to get your memories back. What do you say pal? Wanna be roommates? If you say yes I'll buy you ice cream~”

Tor hadn't really been paying attention to anything, not even time. Some might say that was kind of neglecting his duty but....he really saw it as a break from it. He was always doing his job and despite being a living an breathing thing, he didn't hold a life. Well he was a alive but he didn't have what people would call a life. No family...not a real job...nothing. He just held a name, the knowledge of what he was suppose to do, and the memories of going thorughout the centuries with such a duty. Time. Time was all he had and yet in a way, he didn't have it. Tasked with making sure it kept on track but that was it. So, it was only natural for him to be wanting to take a break from it.
How long ago was it? The world was so different back then. Back when one day he woke up and nothing was in his mind, it was a total blank. The room he was in, the sounds he could hear outside, all of it was nothing but confusion. Then He showed up, gave him teh strange silver pocket watch that had a light bluish stone in the center of the cover with what lookedl ike a black cat's eye in the center. A source of power and management of time. That was how it was and for many years it remained. He relearned what everything around him was, learned as the times changed, and thus wasn't left behind in time. Or was he? Tor didn't know if he really was a part of time anymore. He just felt like he was being dragged along, forced into it. But why?
Thoughts were broken as he heard voices and he came to a pause. Green gaze could see two men or at least...what he thought was two men. One of them was odd looking with that horse mask on but....some humans were like that. Wearing masks even when their really wasn't a reason for them to. Oh well. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled the pocket watch out and opened it, watching the second hand tick by. The chain of the watch was wrapped around his wrist.
"Perhaps you should both spend more time getting to know one another before you jump into such a thing?" Tor suggested as he looked up from the pocket watch.
