• Was abused, bullied, and raped growing up, resulting in huge social anxiety, no self-esteem, and claustrophobia.
• Wears a magical pendant (a family heirloom) that must be worn at all times, or else she dies. This is called the Rose Curse, created by the soul of the original bearer from The Rose War, in which the soul was magically sealed inside in case of life threatening situations (Kind of like Voldemort's Horcruxes from Harry Potter). The pendant is a life force in which keeps the magic inside its bearer intact due to its indescribable power. If removed from the magician's body, the magic will be unable to control and destroy the body from the inside.
• Has a half-brother who shares the same birthday ten years apart, also a sorcerer but of the York clan, opposite the Lancaster clan.
Other Information: Sapphire's Alter Ego:
Sapphire has an alter ego (and distant great grandmother) named Saphira, an ancient spirit locked hidden in the pendant that Sapphire consistently wears,. Saphira was once summoned if Sapphire's emotions reached at a certain peak where she could no longer function correctly. Saphira would then take over and cause destruction on anyone who intended to physically or emotionally harm her host, causing loss of energy when Sapphire returns to normal. Over the years, Sapphire has learned to control her emotions, therefore summon her alter ego without using up her energy.
Saphira is the original sorceress of the Lancaster clan, being made as such by a forbidden substance hidden under the Stonehenge in England called Dragon Waste (made from the remains of Dragons obviously) and coming in contact with it merely by accident. In addition, Saphira was the precious ward of the Tudor Family of Lancaster after her biological parents perished in a fire in the village she grew up in. The Tudor Family agreed to take her on if she agreed to marry Henry, their heir. Neither Henry Tudor nor Saphira were romantically interested in each other, instead saw each other as Brother and Sister, yet they agreed to marry for the sake of the family. Saphira, actually, had a forbidden lover named Eran, the Wizard of Lancaster, childhood sweetheart, and a poor farm boy. Only Henry knew about her relationship, and agreed to keep it secret. After the war, Saphira was married to Henry, but on the day of their coronation, Saphira was assassinated by a magician of York. Luckily, before the war, Saphira had separated her soul, creating a pendant that she was to wear at all times, so if her body were to be destroyed her soul would live on.
When Saphira was awakened 500 years later, she had vengeance and hatred in her heart from the assassination. She eventually learned to forgive, and became Sapphire's conscious, protector, and family.
