There it was, her prey's tracks. That was what she thought at least. It wasn't easy trying to find the right kind of wolf tracks when in a forest. There were plenty of natural wolves that lived this far in the forest, Dahlia had seen them herself. It would have been fine if she was just hunting down any type of wolf but she wasn't. What she was looking for was a werewolf. There had been a bounty on a particular werewolf's head for a few weeks now. The one she was after was particularly dangerous and was reported to be hunting campers in this area. The mission on the surface seemed pretty simple but Dahlia knew better than to assume it would be easy. The forest wasn't just home to wildlife, it was also home to many animalistic supernatural creatures, especially werewolves. Trying to find the target werewolf among all the other werewolves and normal wolves that lived here would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It didn't help that the bounty didn't say what kind of werewolf the beast was. Dahlia had learned over the years that there was more than one kind of werewolf out here in the world. Some werewolves could go between a pure wolf form and the mix between human and beast, not to be confused with wolf shifters that could only take on a normal wolf form. That sometimes made following prey by tracks difficult.
One had to learn how to read the tracks properly to find out if they were following the right trail. The huntress bent down to take a closer look at the tracks she was trying to follow. This one might be the right one, the foot prints weren't that of a half man, half beast, but they seemed to be significantly larger than a normal wolf. There was no mistaking these tracks, they belonged to a formative werewolf. Was this the right wolf though? She didn't know, there was no way of knowing until she followed them to their owner. Dahlia stood up and dusted the dirt off her hands and started to follow the tracks. It would be easy enough to take the werewolf down if she could catch it by surprise, but she planned to wait a little bit before she went in for the kill. Though she was a supernatural hunter she didn't like to attack the wrong prey.
She wasn't like the other hunters, she wasn't human. She was just as much unnatural as her prey and she at least wasn't dangerous. The same went for werewolves too. Not all of them hunted humans. The last thing she wanted to do was kill an innocent. Silently Dahlia moved through the forest, her silver eyes followed along the path she walked to keep the tracks within her sight in case they changed direction, but she kept her ears open to the world around her. A small smile graced the woman's lips. Walking through the forest brought back memories. Back when she had been nothing more than a frightened child she had taken refuge in this place. The forest had been a harsh place where one had to fight every day for survival, but it had been less harsh than the world she had been raised in. At least here she had been free. It had been nice to feel the wind on her skin, the grass under her feet, and the taste of a fresh kill. Even though she had loved her time with her former teacher a part of her still missed it.
A sudden rustling noise broke the woman out of her happy thoughts and onto the defensive. Dahlia instantly drew her sword and turned in the direction of the sound. The woman growled as she raised her sword at the ready to face whatever had made the noise. From the sound of it whatever was big enough to be a threat. Was this the creature she was after? Or was it some other beast out on the prowl. Dahlia couldn't be sure till it showed itself. The woman didn't say anything, choosing instead to glare at the spot the creature was hiding in waiting for it to show itself. If it refused to come out soon she would have to go to it first. Hopefully for the creature it was smart enough to play games with her. If it wasn't it would be in for a rather unpleasant surprise when she went after it.

Reid had kept to the forest mostly after meeting Guil and Jesse. Sure it was back a bit and thus closer to Axium but at least the forest was large enough to where he could have enough time to think. In order to try and keep Axium off his trail, he traveled in his larger wolf form in here. There were wolves in this forest, so it did give him at least some chances of not being found. Though he would leave eventually. Right now he just needed to figure out which way to go. Even with Jesse's number and credit card, he wasn't sure about it. Should he just rip it apart? Or should he keep it and use it?
Coming from the bushes that had caused Dahlia her happy thoughts and growl. The growl caused his large ears perked and when his golden gaze landed upon the female, a snarl left his muzzle. Hackles stood up and he took a few steps back. The blade she held was pointed at him and really he didn't know what she was planning on. The wound to his shoulder that Jesse gave him was still there as clear as day, the bleeding had slowed down but the crimson color was still there.
This forest wasn't his home and since this woman was here, maybe it was? Hence why he didn't attack her. Well really, he didn't have a home to defend, never did. He was merely staying here till he figured out what to do. Though....those plans would have to be put on hold now. He didn't speak to her. Just in case this girl was a normal person and that she didn't need to know he could. If she was normal, he would've just appeared to be a strangle large black wolf with a wound to it's shoulder.

Whatever was hiding itself in the brush didn't come out to face her, but at least it had the grace to let its presence be known. The snarl it gave her was more than enough to tell her that she wasn't just hearing things. There was something there. It was some kind of animal for sure, definitely a canine from the sounds of it. Most likely a wolf. The general tone of it was similar to that particular species of dog. The woman's eyes narrowed as she glared at the bush. She would have to be extra careful with this one. It could very well be the monster she was hunting down. Dahlia had to be suspicious of every potential werewolf that she would be coming across in the woods tonight and she knew it. While she wasn't human at a distance she seemed human enough for a man eater to make that mistake. The animal wouldn't know what she was till it was close enough to see her tail. This beast though would see it for sure. Dahlia didn't make any attempts to hide her tail once she entered the forest. Doubtless that wouldn't completely stop her target from attacking her anyway. Not being human didn't save you from being hunted, that she knew all too well.
The scent of blood soon wafted to her nose and caused the woman to frown. That blood, it was strange. It smelled like a wolf's but it wasn't a normal wolf but neither was it a werewolf's or even a shapeshifter. Even stranger it smelt somewhat human. At first she thought it was probably the smell of its recent kill but she soon realized her mistake. No, the human smell didn't come from a kill, it was intermixed with the wolf blood. It belonged to the beast hiding from her. Just what was this creature? Dahlia took a cautious step forward, sword still raised at the ready in case the animal tried to jump her. “Out.” the woman growled. “Now, or fight.” if this thing was part human then the chances were it could understand what she was saying. Dahlia wasn't the greatest at words but what she said was straightforward for anyone that knew english to understand. Come out or I will come after you. It was as simple as that. If the wolf creature didn't either come to face her or leave she would come to it, it probably wouldn't like that.

"And why, should I take orders from you?" Reid snarled as he moved out of the bushes.
Revealing his large size and his snarling face. Hackles were still raised as his tail swished behind him. Gold glowing gaze remained locked on her. His gaze noticed the tail behind her and his confusion toward her increased. Just what was she? Clearly not human.....like him. Though perhaps staying in this form wasn't wise? She didn't seem to be afraid of him. Though in this form, he looked like a threat probably.
So, the large wolf form was replaced by the human. His back, shoulders, and chest had their many scars. The shirt he had before was long gone but at least he still had his torn up pants that looked like shorts. The ankle shackle or chain was still attached to him, no way to get that off. Perhaps he was less threatening looking in this form if she did feel threatened. The gold glowing eyes had dulled in color, turning into amber but the glow was still present. His fur like hair was still bushy but it wasn't standing up like it was when he was angered greatly or about to change.

Dahlia knew she was right that beast hiding in the bushes was no normal animal when she heard it speak. The being asked why it should listen to her. The woman's tail twitched in irritation. Two seconds in and she was already starting to dislike this creature. “Cause I can kill.” she replied, half growling out her answer. Those words may not have been the best to use but Dahlia didn't have the time nor the patience to try and think her words out carefully. The woman had always had trouble speaking. When she had been a child no one seemed to care enough to teach her proper speech. After all as far as Axium was concerned she was nothing more than an animal that they created. Her role was simple, she was a test subject. Something to toy around with and mold to their liking. She didn't need to learn how to speak for that. After she had met her master, the one who put a sword in her hand she learned a bit on how to talk but she had a better time learning how to fight than how to speak.
While the wolf sounded like it was going to refuse her commands it did have the sense to at least show itself. Dahlia watched in silence as the large wolf emerged from the brush and turned into a man. The male's transformation didn't surprise her in the least. She already had an idea that this thing had a human form from the smell of its blood. His appearance on the other hand was something she didn't quite expect. Dahlia studied the man closely, he didn't have much clothes besides his torn pants so she could see most of his scars. The scars were peculiar. There was nothing strange about a wolf with scars. Werewolves, even wolf shifters normally had some scarring on them, usually from fights with one of their own kind. But this man didn't seem to get all his scars from other animals. Strange. But that wasn't the strangest thing on him. Besides his pants the only other thing he wore was a broken shackle on his leg.
Dahila's body grew tense at the sight of it. That shackle brought back unpleasant memories. She knew all too well what shackles felt like. It didn't help that his shackle looked so much like the ones she used to have on her in the past. Dahlia turned her steely gaze back to the man's face. Just who was this man? He probably wasn't the werewolf she was looking for. By all rights she should have just walked away and left him to look for her target but this creature was making her feel too uneasy to just leave. “Where you come from?” she asked, the woman didn't move an inch. She kept her guard up just in case he tried anything. He wasn't her wolf but that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous. Well, if he attacked her he would soon learn that she was just as dangerous as he was.

"So? Anything can kill." Reid replied. "Not much of a reason to try and order others."
Reid had killed a person during that one test, course it was a stupid test. They knew his rage was stronger than his human form. He wouldn't be able to keep the human form and thus he lost control and just went with the beast's nature's instincts. Despite keeping his gaze on her he started to...notice something. She seemed....unsettled by his appearance? Yes well....considering all the scars and his lack of clothing, he could see partially how someone would be unsettled by it. Though something else happened to cause him to raise a eyebrow at her.
Her gaze went to the broken shackle on around and through his ankle. Stupid thing would never come off. Course if it did, then his ankle would be weakened in his other forms. That wouldn't be good.
"Why does it matter?" Reid asked. "A place you couldn't imagine."

Dahlia knew that she was going to be in for a frustrating night with this wolf the moment that he started talking. It was clear that this one was one of the rude snarky types from the way he responded to her. God she hated those types. They were the ones that tended to give her the worst time. They would always dodge questions when asked, and even tried to make fun of the way she talked. It wouldn't have bothered her much if she didn't need answers from him. At the end of the day nothing he said could bother her if she just ignored it, or at worst killed him. But that wasn't what she was here for. She should have just walked away, she knew that she should. This man was not the monster she was looking for, it was as clear as day now that she took a good look at him. He wasn't a threat. But...
That shackle. Why was it so unsettling to her? She knew it should not have been a big deal. The thing itself was not going to hurt her. There was no one left in her life that could bind her to them anymore. Her master had always said that the past could only hurt you if you let it. So Dahlia resolved not to let her past hurt her anymore. All that shackle did was bring back memories of the past, a past she no longer had to live in. It shouldn't bother her. Yet it did. This man...where did he come from? Had he been trapped in that place like she had been? No, that was not possible...was it? Dahlia knew that there were others like her, trapped just like she had been in the Asylum but she couldn't remember who they were anymore. While she had escaped not everyone else did. There might have been some that did, and maybe more after her. Dahlia never did know what happened to Axium. For all she knew they had fallen. But she doubted that.
Was this man from that place? The shackle might be the same as hers had been that didn't mean anything. Axium wasn't the only place that kept captives. Sometimes supernaturals had the misfortune of being captured and kept as slaves or test subjects by humans. It was very possible that this man had escaped from somewhere else. If that was the case she couldn't just walk away from him now. As much as she didn't like him she couldn't just turn a blind eye on someone that might need her help. If there was someone imprisoning people she had to put a stop to it. The woman asked the man where he had come from only to get some half handed answer instead. Dahlia growled again as she sheathed her sword, this beast was starting to irritate her but she wouldn't let up. “Matters.” she replied, the woman took a step towards the wolf. “Shackle familiar. Where you from? Answer, don't want ask again.”

Why did everyone want to know that? Isabelle wanted to know, the two morons that came after him wanted to know. EVERYONE wanted to know! His shoulder wound wasn't bothering at the moment, though he really wished he could just leave and this lady would leave him alone. Course he doubted that she'd do that if he started to walk away. She seemed easy to anger as well. Well Reid had a good reason to be easily angered since that was how he was for most of his life.
Though upon her saying that the shackle was familiar, he raised a eyebrow. Both in surprise and confusion. However another thought hit him at the same time. Was this....someone Axium hired? It was possible. Great...just great. Taking a step back, he kept his gaze on her.
"Axium." Reid replied in a unhappy voice.

The man seemed confused by her question. The woman frowned when she saw that expression on his face. What was wrong? Did she not say her question right? Or was he just messing with her again? Maybe she should ask him again? God she hated having to do things like that, especially if he was messing with her. Things like that used to happen a lot when she was hunting during her early years. Cocky males like this one always loved to make fun of her because of the way she spoke. It got on her nerves back then and she learned to eventually ignore them for the most part. Then there were moments like this. If only she could leave. There was nothing really stopping her from doing so besides a gnawing suspicion about this man that kept her here. This man was strange that much she knew. There was plenty of things weird about him. The way he smelled, the condition he was in, the scars. But it was the shackle that put her on edge.
She wanted answers. She wanted to know who this man was and where he came from. The where was the most important thing. If he came from the same place as her, that meant that the Asylum still existed and the two of them were in danger. Even if it wasn't Axium she had to be weary of any place that captured strange creatures like this man. While Dahlia was a huntress that wouldn't stop someone from trying to cage her like an animal. It had happened to her before, she swore she wouldn't ever let that happen again. She couldn't stop it when she had been nothing more than a frightened cub but she wasn't a child anymore. She could stop them from imprisoning her, and she could stop them from doing the same to others.
The man's behaviour seemed to change suddenly when she looked at the shackle, he was less defensive now but he seemed afraid for some reason. Almost like he was afraid to answer her. She was just about ready to ask him again when he finally blurted it out. Dahila's blood ran cold at the name. Her worst fears had come true. Axium still existed. Of course it did, it wasn't like Dahlia had done anything to destroy the place when she had escaped that hellhole. She was sharper than the scientist had thought but she wasn't reckless. There was nothing stopping the place from continuing on, she knew that, she had always known that. But she had held onto the childish hope that they had died off. After all they hadn't tried to hunt her down after she escaped. Why wouldn't they do that if they still existed. “You...you escaped too?” she asked. She already knew the answer to that but she couldn't stop herself from asking all the same. No one was ever let go from that place. The only way to be free from the asylum was to fight and crawl your way out to freedom, or death. This man would not have gotten out unless he did that.
“How long?” the woman asked him. The wolf looked like he had recently escaped, if that was the case then he was in danger. They were both in danger. Axium could be looking for him right now and he wouldn't know it, if they tracked him down they might find out about her as well. No, she couldn't let that happen. “Come with me.” Dahlia quickly grabbed the man's uninjured arm and tried to pull her along with him. “Need to go, before they come. I can take you safe place. They won't find you there. They didn't find me so they can't find you.” there was no way that she was going to let this man go wandering off in this place by himself. It was only a matter of time till someone found him out here like they had done with her. If he was unlucky it would be Axium that did. Besides, she had a lot of questions for him still. It was better to take this somewhere else.

Escaped too? No one had ever escaped to his knowledge. Surprise actually took his face over, as well as shock. No one had ever gotten out of that place. At least to his knowledge. Normally only the scientists or higher ups knew of who escaped. Before he could responded to the he had escaped part she had asked him how log. Geez, she just wanted to know everything.
"Two maybe three nights." Reid replied.
Today would've been the third night wouldn't it? Yes that was it. That was correct. Though she quickly grabbed hold of his arm and pulled him along. The act had just surprised him. And even though he wasn't going to admit it, the only reason he was allowing her to pull him along was his confusion about who she was. The ex-experiment didn't quite think that Axium would send members pretending to be experiments after them. That was dangerous.

Three nights ago...
That wasn't very long at all. Dahlia pondered over the man's words as she dragged him along with her. Now it really did feel like she had any choice but to take this man with her. The huntress hadn't really thought this over when she originally grabbed him but her mind was finally starting to think critically about the situation she was facing. Had this stranger escaped Axium for a few weeks, or even better, a month ago she would feel a little bit more secure about leaving him where he was. It would not have been the nicest thing she could have done given what she had been through herself, but this man wasn't some frightened half wild teenager like she had been when she had escaped. He could have been totally capable of taking care of himself out here in the forest. But it wouldn't matter how good his survival skills were out here if Axium was chasing him down. Three nights was good enough time for Axium to notice he was missing (assuming he quietly sneaked out like she did) and start their search. This man was still in a lot of danger of being discovered here, she had to do something.
“Come here smart but not good enough.” the woman said as she began walking back the way she had come.“Lots of cover, big land, harder to search.” She had thought the same thing back then too, the forest was naturally appealing to the half cougar. She had the strength and natural instinct to survive it. It had been a decent hideout while it lasted. She could see why this wolf man had chosen it as well. “Stayed here when escaped, thought I wouldn't be found. Was wrong. Lots of humans come here, easy for Axium to hide truth while hunting you down if want.” if Axium had any brains at all they would start combing through this place soon. If they did and this man was still here their would be trouble. Soon she wouldn't be able to come here again either. At least not until she was sure that it was safe to. Maybe Axium thought she was dead since she had kept her presence underneath the radar for years but they could still end up finding her while looking for their recent escapee.
“Human found me here not long after my escape.” she continued her explanation. “He was helpful, taught me how to fight and hide. Was lucky, but might not have if it was Axium.” Dahlia was so focused on the path ahead, keeping her ears and eyes open for any unwanted arrivals that she couldn't tell if the man she was holding onto was paying attention to what she was saying. Hopefully he was, she needed him to understand why she was making him come with her. “Better if you come with me. I have place you can hide, be sure they aren't searching for you then you can live on own.”

Well his original acts weren't wise. Considering he set fire to part of the junkyard, not a large part and was found by two agents of whatever Isabelle's people were. One of them offered him help and protection. He still held the items that Jesse gave him in his pants pocket. His escape hadn't been quiet, it was the opposite of quiet. His rage and fire were the main things that allowed for him to escape.
He was listening though he didn't make any sound or noise to indicate he was. It was best to keep quiet and listen. However surprise came to him as she said that a human helped her, actually helped her. Took care of her and all. That's what Jesse was trying to do, trying to help him out. Course he down right refused it due to how his life had gone. He didn't like the idea of being trapped with a person though. It didn't sound like eh was going to be able to leave this lady's sight any time soon.
"Considering how risky this all is, wouldn't it be unwise for us to be in the same place? After all, you were once trapped there. Why put yourself at a bigger risk by keeping me around?" Reid questioned.

They were almost out of the woods now. Dahlia could see the clearing coming now as they walked. For the most part their journey had been rather quiet. Beyond the sounds of nature and her own voice the forest was quiet and peaceful. That was good, that meant they hadn't been spotted by anyone. It would have been a problem if they had ran into anyone from axium along the way. There was still that werewolf to worry about, not to mention all the other dangerous supernaturals that prowled out here in the woods. Dahlia frowned when she thought about the werewolf she was suppose to be tracking down. This unexpected delay would cost her a lot more than money. Money wasn't much of her concern. The young woman still had a decent amount saved over from her former master's insurance. Her teacher had left her in his will before she died so she could live on her own. The cash he left behind plus the money she earned every time she made a successful kill was more than enough to let her live. What concerned her was how much more campers the werewolf would murder while he was left to roam free. There was little that she could do about it sadly, tonight she had to worry about herself and the wolf man with her. She would have to figure out how to safely hunt the werewolf down later.
It was hard to say if the wolf man would accept her help though. He didn't seem too pleased to see her when they first met, and that feeling didn't seem to change much afterwards. Even now the male stayed silent as she dragged him along with her. The fact that he didn't pull away from her yet at least meant he wasn't completely against it. If he did though that wouldn't stop her from trying to take her with him. Her master had to fight her when they had first met. Back then she had been too afraid to trust a stranger, especially one heading towards her with a sword in his hand. It wouldn't be as easy for her as it was for her master to overpower this wolf, but she would do it if she had to if it meant keeping him safe. They had finally made it out of the woods when the man finally spoke up. Dahlia stopped and turned to face him when he asked her that question. Why was she risking her own freedom for his sake? The answer was pretty simple.
“I help people. Master taught me that.” She replied. “Risk life all the time to protect others that don't know I exist. You in trouble, can't just leave.” It really was as simple as that. Dahlia had learned how to fight for the sake of defending others, since that was what she was good at she used it for a better calling. Axium had tried to make a tool out of her and too some extent she still thought of herself as a tool. If she was a tool then she was meant to be used, she just never figured out what to be used for till she escaped. Becoming a hunter had been her choice, just like pulling this man along with her had been. That was the freedom she had risked everything for, it only made sense to her to use her own freedom to help this man gain his own. Dahlia started moving again till she and her catch came upon a lone car a little ways away, her car. She finally let the man go long enough to open the passenger seat. “Come, will take you home to rest. Did you eat?”

Her master huh? Even with her freedom she fell back into being a servant at some point, having a master. The scientists tried to act as their masts, tried to be superior to the experiments. Heck almost all of them thought they were, all because they weren't the ones being experimented on and kept in a cage. But it seemed.....this...Master of her's was different. Considering how she was used as a lab rat by those that claimed to be their master's and once free, she ended up with one that she seemed to...be fine with.
Reid never agreed with what they wanted with him. Heck....besides trying to figure out something in this world through him; at least that's what he thought, what did they want? Was he a tool? Whatever they wanted from him or thought he was, he didn't agree with it. He was his own being, he was Reid. Not Fire Wolf! Being brought to the car, he tilted his head. He never been in a car let alone see it. He almost didn't notice that he was released though when he went to move his arm that she held onto, he noticed at last.
"Several small rodents, not really much though." Reid replied.
He wasn't a great hunter but he was able to catch things at least. Heck he was able to swallow mice whole in his large wolf form and squirrels did require a bit more chewing. Course none of them made his hunger completely subside. Sure it helped his hunger to go down but he it wasn't enough.
"So....w...what's this?" Reid muttered his question referring to the car but Dahlia could probably hear it.

It didn't surprise Dahlia much when the wolf man asked her why she was taking such a huge risk by taking her with him like this. Since this man had only recently escaped Axium's clutches he didn't know anything about the world around him. All he had ever known about the world was everything he endured while behind a cage. Things like trust and kindness were alien to him, so why would he ever think that anything anyone did for him was for his own benefit? That was what it was like for her. She was younger than he was now of course, but the logic behind the life they had both led was the same. Well, now was his chance to learn. Dahlia didn't hesitate to answer. She was doing what she was doing to help him in the long run. Out of all the options going with her was probably his best choice. He would be able to have a roof over his head while having a place to hide from the people that might be coming after him. All while having someone to protect him if things turned ugly. It was risky true, if Axium was able to track him down they would find her as well, but it was a risk she was willing to take. Besides, even if she left him they might find out that she was still alive through him. It was a win-win in her book to do something like this.
The man didn't say anything after her response. Whether he accepted her answer as the truth or not she didn't know for sure. At least he didn't try to run for it once she let him go. Maybe that was his way of showing he accepted her? Dahlia studied for a moment after she opened the car doors. Despite his original hostility towards her the man wasn't much of a talker. She was fine with that. Dahlia was a pretty quiet individual herself. Besides the fact she didn't have the best communication skills, she had always been more of a private person. She wouldn't have a problem having to deal with long periods of silence with him. Dahlia quickly tossed her sword in the back seat and was about to hop into the drivers seat when she noticed that the wolf was still standing there. The woman looked at him a little confused, what was wrong with him? Did he not want to come with her after all?
It was then that he asked her a question. At first Dahlia didn't understand what he meant. What was what? Then it clicked. Dahlia tried to hold back a laugh but was just barely able to cover up a smile with her hand. Right, he had probably never seen a car in his life before. It would make sense that he wouldn't know what it was. She sure didn't when she escaped, but she had become so used to them now that it wasn't something that confused her anymore. “This is car.” she said once she regained her composure. “Use to get places. Its awkward and noisy but faster than foot. Come in, I will show you.”
