Magus's ears twitched as he sat there in his cell, his long silver tail was wrapped around him and his tall pointed ears twitched. He had heard about Fire Wolf's escape, who hadn't? Many of the other experiments were in shock about it. Whispering to each other if they had any company near them. Magus on the other hand, didn't have company. His cell was located nowhere near the others. Perhaps it was due to his young age still? He didn't know. Having company would be nice. Even though his cell wasn't near Fire Wolf's, the two had passed one another by a few times. Magus's cell was located further down the hall from where Fire Wolf's cell was. So naturally, Magus had to go past the strange wolf's cell. Even though from time to time, Magus was barely conscious due to the experimentation that happened and the tranquilizer that they always put into the experiments when transporting them.
The sounds of the members of staff trying to repair the damage done by the beast Fire Wolf, Magus's ears were constantly twitching. His heightened hearing was a curse it felt like. Course the smell of something burnt constantly wasn't a pleasant smell for him either. If the humans hated it then Magus's would be ready to gag from the smell. Though if he moved to the farthest corner of his cell away from the hall that lead past Fire Wolf's cell, he wouldn't be able to smell it as strongly. However his ears perked to the sound of footsteps coming down the hall and thus he moved himself to the farthest corner of his cell. Trying to hide but sadly, his cell wasn't as dark as Fire Wolf's.
It didn't help that there was a light right in front of his cell, shining light in twenty-four seven. His tall ears lowered as his dark grey eyes glanced toward the cell bars.

Stupid Fire Wolf," Thressa mumbled as she went toward Magus's cell. He was her usual charge and she looked in to see how he was doing.
Magus was a scared little kid to her, someone who could never hurt her or run. She was glad to have someone to deal with that was more afraid then Fire Wolf had been. She hated that stupid experiment now.
"Magus, how are you today?" She asked rubbing some aloe into her burn as she spoke. Once she was done with her arm and the aloe she started rubbing her temples to try to get her headache to quit. She really hoped the rest of her day went better than it had so far.

Oh no.... Magus whined in his head as the form of Thressa appeared in front of his cell.
"F...F...Fine..." Magus stuttered a reply as he stayed put.
Though the smell of aloe hit his nose and caused him to sneeze. Now that was a strong smell and one that he wasn't too fond of. Course there was a reason she was probably putting it on. No doubt she was burned by the flames that Fire Wolf was somehow able to create. It was the only reason he could think that she was putting aloe on. Well...perhaps she was doing it just to mess with his nose to see what reaction she could get.
His tail remained where it was, though it soon wrapped around one of his legs as he stayed put. What was she gonna do with him today? Inject him with something? Or put him through some bizarre course? There was never any knowing of what would come.

Thressa watched Magus as he cowered in his cell, this was how an experiment should act. They should be scared of what was going to happen next not lunging at the scientists or trying to attack them.
She grabbed her keys and searched for the right one, Magus made it easy not to worry about going into his cell. She could smell the aloe on her arm and it wasn't like she liked the scent, as her nose wrinkled she could hear Magus sneeze.
She found the right key without a problem and entered to give Magus the tranqulizers that would knock him out for transport. She trusted him more than Fire Wolf not to attack but it was regulation to knock him out then take him. When he woke up completely he would find himself at the beginning of an obstacle course that would test his agility and reflexes.

If Magus's ears could lower any more, they would have as he watched Thressa searched for the right key. He had been here since a young age and really, he learned to fear what was here rather than try to fight. When his appearance changed so drastically that was really the part where he saw no hope of getting out. Sure he had claws and fangs but really he didn't want to use them. He wanted to be normal, he wanted to look like a human. This wasn't what a human should look like nor have.
As she entered, Magus lowered his head as he started to crouch a bit. Just great. Feeling the needle go into his arm and the drug quickly taking effect, his ears quivered for a few moments before he was rendered unconscious. Several minutes later, he awoke in a large room that he recognized. Great....it was one of these tests, when were they going to learn that Magus's speed hadn't been enhanced like his hearing, smell, and sight.
Standing there, Magus's ears twitched as he waited. The test wasn't up and running yet, so really there was nothing he could do. Besides stand there of course.

As soon as he arrived back home, he had switched into his lab coat and went to work. Axium of course was where he worked. He honestly hated having to go visit his parents in a different place everywhere. Yet if he didn't then they would come to his apartment looking for him. Such a pestering mother and father he had. But he was fine with it, he could put up with it.
Going down to the underground areas where the experiments were, though his sky blue eyes widened behind his glasses as his gaze landed upon Fire Wolf's cell. The cell bars were smashed off and the experiment was nowhere in sight. A smile came to his face as he turned round and headed back up the stairs.
Interesting Lawrence thought as he headed toward the testing area.
While he had expected to see Fire Wolf down here, his gaze landed upon Magus and turning toward the control panel area, he found Thressa. Having a polite smile on his face, he went over to her still smiling with his arms behind his back.
"So what are you doing to do with him? See if he can avoid getting squished and test some sort of regenerative serum?" Lawrence asked. "Oh by the way, where did Fire Wolf go to? Was it on Vivain's watch?"

She looked over at Lawrence. "I'm not going to let him get squished, I don't think they have that kind of serum yet," She said shortly. "The test is going to challenge speed and reflexes," she continued as she started the test.
The test would throw what were basically dodge balls at him first, and she watched to see how well he could dodge, whatever he didn't dodge would probably hurt quite a bit. They were bigger than a normal dodge balls and were rubber. They were the normal color though, which would mean red. They were going to be only the first part of the test she was going to run, the test would have three parts.
"Fire Wolf got away, the bars were week though I don't know exactly why. It was sadly not on Vivain's watch," She said as her hand went to her arm with a bit more aloe on it. Her arm stung where the cloth of her lab coat touched it so she had the sleeve rolled up past where it was burned. "I have had a very bad day, let me put it that way," she said shortly. She was watching Magus and just waiting for Lawrence to get it. Fire Wolf was a difficult experiment and she had no idea why the bars had been week, maybe all the fire that had been thrown at them had done it.

Magus's ears twitched as he heard the sound of the gears working when Thressa pushed the button that started it all. Though what he saw coming at him at first caused his eyes to widened as he ducked down. A red kick ball had been sent flying at him. Looking over his shoulder, his dark grey eyes blinked and were still slightly widened. Though he felt a second kick ball hit him on the right side of his face. Thus causing him to hit the ground and land on his left side.
That hurt... Magus thought in his head as he rolled over and started to crawl away.
Though more than one ball started to be released and pretty the young man was stuck jumping or pausing to try and avoid the hard balls. It was kind of a funny display. Especially when he got hit with a kick ball.

"Ah well, no harm in asking since I've been away for a while. Always possible for new things to be created." Lawrence replied.
Lawrence turned his sky blue gaze to the testing area bellow them. Watching the first kick ball hit Magus on the side of his face. The frail looking man suppressed a laugh though he still gave a humored smile. It wasn't the fact that pretty much Magus was failing at the reflex and speed part, but it was just funny to watch the experiment get hit with the balls. Maybe it was because Lawrence was always miserable in gym class?
However his smile faded when Thressa said Vivian wasn't on watch when it happened. A disappointed expression came on his face as those words hit him. Vivian was....how could he put it? Rather harsh with her words and thus Lawrence never really liked her all that much. Plus she pretty much made Fire Wolf off limits unless she was gone and all. Though watching her put a clear substance on her arm underneath her sleeve, he put two and two together. A sigh left him as he shrugged.
"Oh well, he was rather unstable in some ways." Lawrence replied. "Not your fault there."

"I don't guess there is," She said with a shrug.
Thressa laughed a bit when the first ball hit Magus, honestly he should have expected it. She had a bad day or she would have been a bit nicer to Magus, she did care about her experiment, though she hated Fire Wolf. She watched him try to dodge and saw he was getting hit with quite a few before that part of the test ended. She waited for a few minuets before starting the second part.
The second part of the test was a bunch of hurtles coming at him that would knock him over if he didn't jump them. They started out short, about ankle height and easy to jump, then slowly got taller until they were waist height. If he got knocked over the test would stop till he got back up, the longer it took for him to get back up the longer the test would take. She watched patiently as the second part of the test ran.
Thressa didn't like Vivian all that much and she had come to like her experiment even less. Lawerence seemed to figure out what happened and he just shrugged. His next words confused her, it was her fault.
"It was my fault though, I was supposed to be in charge of him while Vivian was gone," She said with a frown. She really didn't like that she had been put in charge of such a dangerous experiment.

Magus had sort of gave up standing up and ducking down. Instead he was on his hands and feet to try and dodge. The experiments didn't really help him gain anything else physically, so he was trying. However, he skidded to a halt as the kick balls stopped appearing and thus flying after him. Standing up, he looked around before seeing the ankle high hurtles appear.
Those were easy to jump over and really didn't require much effort to do. However, his dark grey gaze noticed that they were getting higher and higher. Thus causing him to put more effort into doing the jumps and on the second waiting high one. His foot ended up snapped on it and thus he landed on his chest. One thing he had learned from most of the tests that were like this, the fast you press on, the faster it's done. Course when you were in the other experiment methods with serums, it didn't matter how fast they went, it took much longer.
Scrambling to his feet, he jumped over the next hurtle. And thus he was trapped to repeat this.

Watching the second part of the test go underway, Lawrence found his interest remaining. Hurtle jumping. Despite it being boring, he kept his interest only due to the fact Magus was a experiment here. He was hoping that perhaps the wolf DNA they had constantly injected him with that altered his appearance and senses, would've altered the boy to be more flexible and quick. Sadly...it seemed not. Perhaps Thressa should make a date to do said injects once more with maybe some other chemicals to help out?
Hearing Thressa speak, he pulled his sky blue gaze away from the scene bellow and looked at her. A laugh left him this time and he gave a smile that might've been nearing a smirk. He held his pointer finger up and moved it from side to side. Sort of a tisk or pendulum motion.
"No. It's Vivian's fault for not checking the bars and thus notifying the highers that Fire Wolf needed a new cell in order to keep him in." Lawrence said. "You were merely just there for when those old bars gave way. Course, the highers will still blame you."

Thressa watched Magus fail to jump a few of the higher hurtles and made a note to do more injections of the wolf DNA. Maybe make a few modifications, maybe she could figure out what made Fire Wolf have different forms and him be more agile, or at least some of his forms to be so. She had to give it to Magus though, he was resilient.
She could see Lawernce looking at her through the corner of her eye as the current part of the test ended and she gave Magus a minuet to catch his breath, a few of his falls must have really hurt. Soon she started the experiment back up though, moving on to the third part.
The third, and final, part of the test was basically a cool down, though there were a few more balls flying at him they wouldn't hit quite as hard if he didn't dodge. They were still coming at him pretty fast but they were smaller and softer, more like actual dodge balls. They wouldn't hurt quite as much if he was hit though they would still probably hurt a little.
"It is but, as you said, the highers will still blame me. They will say I should have made sure the bars weren't week myself. Honestly do they think I pay much attention to other people's experiments?" She asked in a cool voice."It was my first time even going near him, besides going past him for Magus of course," She said calmly, actually she had little emotion in her voice at all. She watched Magus below her and stayed ready to go get him when the final experiment part ended.

With the hurtles gone, Magus was panting at this point. His long ears slanted as he stood there, wanting to cat his breath. It seemed that Thressa was allowing him that much at least. Though the test started back up again, causing his ears to perk slightly and a sigh to leave him. Honestly, hadn't they learned that he wasn't really fast or agile? Glancing about the room, he saw one of the red kick balls come out, though he just stepped to the side to dodge that one.
Though one still managed to hit him in the back. At least it didn't sting as badly. He then proceeded to try and dodge the remaining ones that were still coming.

"They might be a little bit forgiving since it was your first go with him. Since you pretty much have your own experiment you spend all your time and energy on, you really weren't the best suggestion to put with Fire Wolf. Plus the fact that 234 isn't really....anything near Fire Wolf, you really never experienced anything close to Fire Wolf." Lawrence added. "Though neither am I considering I've only interact with him once and I was under orders not to do anything with him. Sad really."
He glanced back to Magus and saw the kick ball hit the anthro looking boy in the back. Well you couldn't blame the kid really for the failing part. His body didn't seem to be taking to the small doses. Oh well, he was really Thressa's primary concern. Course if she was away, there was the change that he'd get to play with the experiment. He turned his gaze back to Thressa, struggling to ignore the fact that....she seemed a bit like Fire Wolf in appearance. Sure her hair was more brown instead of his extremely dark hair that was on the borderline areas of turning into black. But the face structure was...similar between the two. It was probably nothing though.
"Hm....odd...." Lawrence muttered, though there was a chance Thressa heard him.
