Jesse rolled his blood red eyes when the wolf still tried to refuse his offer. Talk about paranoid, this guy was too suspicious for his own good. What did he expect him to do? Pull out a gun and shoot him? While Jesse did in fact have his gun on him he rarely ever used it. Guns weren't as effective on supernaturals as he had hoped they would be, while they offered some form of protection it wasn't that much. Besides, he only used it when he had no choice. There was no need for that if all he had to do was protect this guy. Jesse's little gift was really pretty harmless. The most he could do was keep a track of the wolf's purchases and possibly know his whereabouts from there. That was how he planned to explain it to the PIDA after he was done. As for whether Jesse would actually do that was another story. He had enough decency to let this man have his privacy, the only way he would use his own credit card to track him down was if he noticed there was no purchases made for awhile and he didn't receive a call from the wolf saying he didn't need it anymore. That would likely be a sign something had happened and that meant he needed to go save his butt.
Jesse of course didn't say anything about that when he handed the credit card and his contact info along with it. Saying a word about that would only make the man unnecessarily suspicious and refuse what little help Jesse could offer. This wasn't the only way that he could help though, and he let the wolf know it. He wasn't the least bit surprised when the wolf man tried to brush the offer off, saying something about Jesse probably not wanting him to shack up with him. Jesse couldn't help but chuckle at that. “Trust me buddy, I am perfectly fine with the idea of you living with me. It wouldn't be as bad as you think it would be. I've had worse.” he wasn't exaggerating when he said that. Jesse had already dealt with having to adapt with living with Guillotine. Things had gotten better but not without a huge struggle at the start. Jesse had to put up with a lot of crap from his hellhound roommate and in the end it ended up alright, what could this guy here do that could be any worse than what Gil had done? “So long as you don't chew up my furniture, piss anywhere that isn't in the toilet, or walk into my room when I am working you will do just fine.”
“As for sleeping arrangements that won't be too hard to figure out. I would be fine with sharing my bedroom if my second job didn't require me at times to work odd hours of the night. There is enough room in the living room for you and Gil to share if I buy an air mattress. Or if you want a room to yourself I can make the basement into a decent bedroom for you.” It was funny how Jesse was already making plans for living arrangements despite the wolf's blatant refusal to go anywhere with him. Still Jesse couldn't help but give it a shot. There was no harm in this guy living with him and Gil. At least this way he could be sure he'd be safe and well taken care of. At the same time the wolf wouldn't need to worry about getting caged up by his employers. The agency would likely be fine with that plan, at worst he could always lie and not tell them he had the wolf man sleeping in his house. It had worked for Nova and Totalbiscuit, so why wouldn't it work for him?
Jesse left the whole housing offer hang when the conversation turned over to Axium. Damn, what this guy was saying made Jesse even more worried about this organization. This place was kidnapping people, most children, to experiment on them? It was scary thinking that there was a kind of group like this so close to where he lived that was doing this kind of thing to people. Now he understood why the wolf said he shouldn't mess with them. What would happen with him and Guillotine if they got caught up in this mess too? Guillotine was the perfect kind of weapon in the wrong hands, his simple nature made him easy to manipulate, and his powers made him very dangerous. And what about himself? Jesse might not be much of a mimic, but his powers could be something worth toying with if someone wanted to experiment on him. Taking on Axium seemed a bit too risky, if anything he would have to deal with the organization himself. There was no way he would take Guillotine or any of his other friends down with him if he failed.
“Axium isn't much of a secret anymore is it?” Jesse said. “Not if someone like you could get out of there and warn us about it.” The man scratched his chin absentmindedly as he thought over this whole Axium thing. It was clear that Axium was a dangerous group, that much he got, they weren't above kidnapping people and treating them as test subjects, but there was something about all of this that was bothering him. “You say they were using you, and other people like you for experiments right? Do you have any idea just what it is that they are trying to do with those experiments?” There was no way this group was just doing this all for kicks. If they were experimenting on people there had to be a reason. Likely they were trying to figure out how to make super soliders or something along those lines. It was a theory, but nothing more than that. Just what was it that Axium was after?

Reid still didn't think it was wise. He never had shared his cell with someone else, so really he never lived with anyone else. Well....wait a moment....he did before. Long long ago when he was a little kid. But he shared that cell with his mother. Someone he cared for, was close to. Maybe there was trust between them but wasn't that natural? Living with someone he never knew until now might not be wise. Considering his rage and the fact that his cell had a lot of burn marks from him breathing fire at the scientists.
The offer just remained in the air, giving no answer on it he allowed for his explanations about Axium sink into Jesse's head. Hearing Jesse's words about Axium not being secret since he had escaped. No. Axium would cover that up from the public most likely. Though to Reid's knowledge no one else had escaped ever.
"No one else will probably know but then again, no one ever got out before." Reid answered. "Only reason I did was due to defying them for years."
Sure, shooting flames out at them at the bars of his cell where the scientists stood was what he did. The bars weakened due to the blasts of heat over the course of the years. That was probably the only reason that it had happened. That and the fact that their tranquilizer darts didn't take immediate effect on him thankfully.
"No, I don't know. They're trying to get something out of us but since every experiment has different results it's hard to know what they're looking for. Besides, not like we can socialize amongst each other." Reid answered. "There was no one else similar to what I can do there."

Jesse listened intently to what the wolf man had to say. Now that he wasn't chasing or getting into a fight with the wolf man he was a lot less on edge and was able to focus on the most important part of his assignment, getting information. Any agent worth his salt knew that you had to gather as much information as you could about your enemies. At the moment his would be enemy was Axium. He had to get what little he could out of this man to figure out what he would be dealing with. There was a chance of course that he wouldn't be working on this case, but he damn well planned to. There was no way in hell after hearing what he did that he was just going to hand this case over to the PIDA for them to give to some other poor sap in the organization. Though he knew that he was about to go into something way over his head, and failing might cost him either his life or his freedom he was determined to be the man to bring these bastards down.
Sadly the wolf man wasn't able to tell him Axium's main goal. Despite all the things he spouted on about them the reason behind his imprisonment was as much a mystery to the guy as it was to Jesse. The human sighed, oh well there wasn't much that he could do about that. At least he got somewhere with it though. He had a name, he had a bit of an understanding of their capabilities, and he knew to some extent what they were doing. That was a lot more than what he had coming into all this mess. It wasn't much but it was a start. “Guess I will just have to ask the bastards about that when I go to pay them a visit huh?” the man joked. Well, there wasn't much more that he could do here. The wolf's silence on Jesse's offer to let him crash at his place didn't go unnoticed but he didn't bring it up again. The most he could do was for the man to take his credit card and number, other than that there wasn't much else he was willing to do. At least he had a way to contact him whenever he changed his mind.
“Speaking of which....you don't happen to know how I can find their secret base would you?” It would help him out a lot to know what direction he needed to head to. Since the wolf man had escaped their grasp he would hopefully still remember where he had gotten out from. That was what Jesse hoped for at least. The man would wait for some kind answer before he stood up and stretched. “Well, I think I wasted enough of your time. I am going to grab my partner and leave this place. Take it easy buddy, give me a call if you need help with anything or if you change your mind about the whole living with me thing. See you around.” With that Jesse transformed and leaped down off the trash heap he had been on to land near Guillotine. The human would gently nudge Guillotine with his muzzle. “Come on Gilly lets head back home and get some rest. We are done here.” He could take Guillotine back home at least to get back some of his lost sleeping time. As for Jesse he wouldn't be able to rest. First he would have to make his way back to the PIDA, figure out what he wad going to say to his superiors about today before he would be free to do anything. After that he needed to do something to blow off some steam. Even now that things calmed down he still felt on edge for some reason.

Guillotine remained in his scaly hide. He didn’t trust Reid, not one bit. Sure he had already transformed back into his human form, so had Jesse. However, Gil wasn’t too keen on the idea. He would provide back up if Jesse needed it. After all, it would only take a few seconds for Reid to transform and lunge at Jesse; whose powers were not reliable in the first place. Guillotine looked up at his partner when he spoke. Instinctively, the hound licked the drool that had already began to drip from his maw. There was something strange going on with Jesse. He could feel it. He changed back into a human but his eyes were blood red. Instinct was still plaguing his mind, even after he dismissed his powers. Would this be permanent? Oh god, If it was he could hear TB’s complaining already. Gil shook his head. He would have to talk to Jesse about his new found instinct once they were done dealing with the wolf.
Gil’s gaze returned to their original target. The wolf stood there in his human form, looking a bit too smug for his liking. The bastard was talking down to them as if they weren’t trying to help him in the first place! Well, at least he wasn’t being as hardheaded as before. Guillotine could barely believe his ears when Jesse began to sympathies with the damn mutt. Oh, here we go again, more talking. Didn’t Jesse get it? Talking was going to get him nowhere! It appeared that Jesse and Gil had differing ideas about how to deal with this tough situation. Gil wanted to break the wolf’s legs and drag him back to the PIDA. Jesse’s idea didn’t include physical violence. And surprisingly enough his idea was starting to get through to the wolf. Guillotine watched, amazed how brave Jesse was being. The human had enough balls to approach the wolf yet again. This time to give him a piece of paper and a credit card. Jesse even sat next to him! Man, the human was being nice today. Even after all that happened he was still able to control the instinct that had began to take refuge within that skull of his. For that, Jesse had earned Guillotine’s respect. He was able to do something that Gil couldn’t without the use of drugs.
What Jesse said next nearly cause Gil to have a heart attack. He offer the wolf shelter at his home. Was his roomate mad?! There was no way in hell Gil would allow this. The hellhound made it perfectly clear that he detested the idea. Jesse got a death glare as well as a loud growl.
“J-Jesse, No! That mutt isn’t allowed anywhere near my house! That is my territory, mine you hear!” Gil barked, his over protective nature began to come forward. The male had already marked his territory onto Jesse’s home. And whether Jesse knew it or not Gil did see the place as his. Though, he didn’t mind the occasional visit from Jesse’s counterparts he wasn’t too keen on letting anyone else cross the threshold. Especially if that someone was another canine.
Guillotine was relieved to hear that Reid wouldn’t be joining them no matter how hard Jesse pressed the subject. The hound wouldn’t know what to do with himself if another male decided to take refuge in his home. Medication or not, Gil wouldn’t put up with that sh*t. The conversation suddenly took a dark turn as Axium was brought up. Guillotine had only heard of the place once before. He’d gotten the information from a very unreliable source, so he never once thought the place existed. By the sounds of it the horror stories were true.
When Reid spoke of the pregnant experiment Guillotine’s stomach began to knot up. The hound’s pointed ears pulled back against his skull. His mind immediately thought of Akeelah. The last he’d heard she was pregnant with his puppies. Just the thought of his Ex-mate and pups being taken to such a place nearly sent the hound into a panic attack. He couldn’t imagine a place that did that kind of things to supernaturals. Sure the PIDA where assholes, but the place Reid was describing sounded like hell. The hound began to think that it would be a tragedy if they found out about the PIDA. Reid had explained that Axium took what they could get.
Guillotine turned back to Jesse. His beady blood red orbs projected the look of worry. The PIDA needed to know about this new threat. Every member, supernatural or not, could very well be in danger of being snatched up and experimented on. PIDA was like an all you can eat buffet to a place like Axium. If the secret organization was as ballsy as Gil thought then there was only a matter of time before they planned a raid on the place. That is, if they knew about the PIDA at all.
The hellhound hoped this wouldn’t happen. Axium seemed relentless by the way Reid explained the experiments. It definitely wasn’t a place Gil planned on going anytime soon. Hell, he’d rather die than be trapped behind bars again. When the PIDA locked him up he nearly went insane. Who knows what more damage would occur if he was being locked up ‘and’ experimented on? Guillotine began to gain a newfound respect for the wolf that stood amongst the trash. Ried had to be a strong individual not to lose his mind in that damn place. He was a lot stronger that Gil in this sense.
When Jesse joked about going to Axium Gil gave him a puzzled look. The human then stood up stretched. The human had to be joking. Still, there was a chance that he wasn't’t. This alone began to worry Gil. The human then spoke with Reid for a moment before transforming and leaping down from the pile. Guillotine snorted and took a step back when Jesse nudged him. He didn’t appear to be in a touchy feely mood. Gil’s tail stood erect, and his ears pricked forward. “You don’t plan on going to Axium alone, right? I know you can be bull-headed at times Jesse but that would be a f*cking stupid idea.” The hound barked. Gil then remembered about Jesse's new take on hellhound instinct. They would need to have a long talk about this. Guillotine looked his fellow canine in the eye and said, “Listen, after you get back from the PIDA we need to have a man to hound talk.”

"You'll have to avoid the security and go underground. The guards finally got their tranquilizers to work." Reid warned Jesse.
Where was Axium located at? At the time, he had been very focused on getting out. Sure he had looked around but....what did he see? Where was it? Where?!! The adrenaline to get out had made him unsure on what to do.
"I don't remember much, I didn't really focus on the way to get back when I was getting out. You know the small town that's away from here that way?" Reid as as he pointed south. "It's past the small town, really far past. There's nothing around the building but it's really easy to see it."
At Guil's outburst about the offer, Reid glanced toward him. The fact that the hound mentioned territory didn't matter to him. He turned his gaze back to Jesse and watched the man change only to jump down. As the two left, Reid waited until they left before he slid down from the mound of trash and headed in a different direction.

While Jesse had been pretty cool with the idea of letting the new guy live with him, Jesse's current roommate seemed a lot less fond of the idea. Guillotine growled and glared up at him and voiced his approval. In Gil's thick head the hound had gotten the idea that he was the one who owned the house. The agent sent his friend a fiery glare to match the one being fired right at him. “Pissing on my house doesn't make it yours Gil.” the man snarled back. Jesse was a little bit more pissed about that than he normally would be. The human already knew that Gil was still 'marking his territory' when he had his back turned. As much as it annoyed him he could never catch him in the act, nor did he care enough to argue about it. Let him think he had some control of the place, that had been the way he thought about it. So long as Gil didn't start barking at his friends or strangers at his door he didn't really mind. But if he was going to start using that as an excuse to start telling him who he could let into the house he was going to put his foot down. “The day you start paying the rent is the day your opinions will matter, till then shut your mouth.”
Jesse eventually turned his attention back to the man sitting next to him as he started going into more details about Axium. What the guy had to say only made Jesse feel even more worried about this organization. Axium was a frightening place, that he was sure of. He would have his work cut out for him if he took on the job. This was the kind of thing that he would need some team help with, he knew that but he couldn't. No, he refused to get anyone else involved with it. Just the thought of what could happen if he and his teammates failed scared him half to death. He couldn't live with himself if his friends got captured if he were to fail. This would be something he had to do himself. At least the whole dealing with Axium part was a little ways away for Jesse Cox. Nothing could be done about the organization till he reported to his bosses first. Once that was done he could request being given the mission or not. Even then there was no guarantees that they would give him the job. The PIDA had the final say in who did what. For the most part they allowed agents to take whatever jobs they felt like, but sometimes they assigned their employees with certain tasks. So long as none of his friends ended up getting dragged into this mess he would rest a little easier.
“I'll keep that in mind, thanks.” Jesse responded to the wolf's warning about their security. Not like he needed the warning. It was pretty obvious that these guys were well armed and secured. Jesse wasn't stupid enough to storm in there guns blazing anyway. No, he would have to be sneaky. He would have to handle this case like how he had played Dishonored, sneak around in the shadows, silently taking out anyone he needed to, do what was needed and get out. Only the guards weren't nearly as stupid, and he probably wouldn't be able to shot anyone with sleeping darts if he got caught. When Jesse asked about where Axium was located he didn't get much of an answer besides a vague direction, and the fact it was a bit aways from the small town they were in. Oh well, it was still something. “Alright, that gives me something to work with thanks.” The man said his goodbyes and changed forms once again so he could have a bit more of a graceful landing when he jumped over to Gil.
Jesse tried to gently nudge Gil to show that all was fine, and to make up a little bit for being harsh with him earlier, but Gil seemed to not want any of it. What was wrong with Gil? Was he really that upset over what he said? Soon enough Gil told him what he was really worried about. Gil wasn't upset over the territory issue but Jesse's bold claim about taking on Axium on his own. “I know its not the brightest idea, but someone has to do it.” Jesse said. “As it stands now its too risky to have more people involved in this investigation than necessary. Don't worry, I will figure something out. Its going to take a lot more than a few scary guards with guns to take me out. I am not completely hopeless you know.” Jesse tilted his head when Gil mentioned having a little talk once they were both back home. He seemed pretty serious, an odd thing to see from the hellhound. Should he be worried? “Yeah, sure. We can talk about all this stuff later. Come on, let's go home.” With that Jesse turned back into a human again and started walking out of the junkyard with his friend by his side.
