Ekoura lay in the box shivering as she watched the shadows dance along the walls and gravestones of the churchyard curling up into a ball whenever she heard any sort of noise she wasn't used to being alone it scared her it wasn't something that happened very often. Whimpering quietly as she thought about her master and whether he was going to come back for her like he promised, eventually falling into an uneasy sleep she dreamed of her master and how happy things would be once again when they were reunited.
"Oh master why haven't you come like you promised, you promised you would return for me." curling up tighter as if trying to protect herself from the world outside her little box the Ekoura began to sob quietly to herself

Night had fallen by the time Kiba had made his way back to the local cemetery to rest for the rest of the day. In the human realm the cemetery was the worst place to be in, especially during the night. The place was dark and eerie, surrounded by a heavy, depressing atmosphere, and the scent of dirt and death. Humans feared it though they were the ones who created it in the first place. After all, they were the only species that he knew of that felt the need to bury their dead. It was a baffling concept to the wolf. Why care about the corpse of anyone once they passed away? Once the soul was gone from the body the person the body once was was no longer there to care what happened to them. It was fine to mourn for the dead, any creature that gave a damn about the ones that had once been a part of their lives would do so. But humans had an unhealthy obsession with the empty husk that remained, to the point that they would rather bury the corpse rather than leave it for other creatures to make use of it.
It was strange to him, but in a way he was thankful for their strange customs. Thanks to the creation of graveyards Kiba had a place to stay when he needed shelter whenever he was trapped in human territory. The white wolf didn't feel paranoid or scared of the dead or their spirits. The ghosts were harmless to him, it didn't even bother him that he couldn't see most of them if they were around him. The darkness was not a problem either. The wolf had good vision in the dark, he didn't even need the aid of the moon that bathed the world in its silvery light right now. The best part about places like this was that no one would see him. Kiba always had to be extra cautious during the day when he ventured out for food or shelter. It was hard to hide ones self out in the city in his true form. A large wolf stuck out like a sore thumb in the city, and he had more than his fair share of close encounters with stupid humans that freaked out just at the sight of him. But here he didn't even need to worry. The male didn't even bother to try and hide his presence. The wolf just walked past the tombstones, his white fur glowing under the moonlight without a care in the world.
This place wasn't perfect, but it was his home. Kiba owned this place. He had been taking shelter here long enough to stake a claim on the area. It was as good as any place he could find in this city, but eventually he would have to leave. Kiba knew that he couldn't live in this area much longer. Human civilization was no place for a wolf. When he first came here he spent days starving. Most of his days had been spent rummaging around trash like some filthy stray mutt. It was hard to hunt here, it was bad enough trying to hunt while avoid being spotted by humans, but the prey that he could get his teeth into were too small for someone his size. There was only so many rabbits, raccoons, and squirrels that one could fill up on in a day. Kiba needed to leave and find wilderness again. He was sick of the city. Maybe tomorrow he should venture further south, this human city seemed pretty big but it couldn't last forever. Eventually if he kept travelling he would find the forest again, or at the very least the countryside. He could at least survive better in the country. There was more, bigger prey there, and more isolated places to hide. Yes, that would be what he would do tomorrow once he got some rest.
Kiba headed towards his sleeping place, side stepping some trash that had been left here sometime earlier that day when he heard whimpering coming from a box. The wolf stepped back in surprise, what was that? Who was here? The male took in the scent of the creature hiding. He didn't need to get too close to its hiding spot to catch a good whiff of its scent. Whatever it was was definitely an animal but it wasn't an animal he could identify. It didn't smell right. The wolf let out a low growl, fangs bared as he glared at the box. The creature couldn't be too big if it was small enough to hide in that box but Kiba didn't want to take any chances with it. Appearances could be deceiving, there were plenty of creatures that lived in this place that didn't look like what they really were, there was no telling if this creature was just like the others he had met before. It could be dangerous, even if it wasn't it was intruding on his turf. “What are you doing here?” the wolf snarled, “Show yourself!”

Why had he come out here? Cain wasn't sure on that exactly. No one he knew here was dead, his sister wasn't....well. She was in a way dead but not, she wasn't buried in the ground that was for sure. Sure she was a vampire, not a living human but she was still alive in her own way. That was all that mattered. She was still the same, her normal self. Her being turned didn't change that, she was still the same. Just with different needs now. With his hands in his pockets, he walked around without any sense of direction. Unaware of what else was here until he heard a snarling voice which caused him to pause.
Heading toward the voices, he soon found the source. A wolf? Hazel eyes widened slightly behind the glasses but...if the wolf was the one that spoke....oh. He still had to get used to this. After all, if Vampires were real then everything else supernatural had to be. Well now he just didn't know what kind of supernatural it was. His attention was taken by the sobbing in the box and he looked down. It kind of looked like a giant weasel? Bending down so he wouldn't look so tall compared to the creature curled up in the box, he left the wolf be for now.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Cain asked.

Ekoura lay there frozen with fear she wasn't aware that she was trespassing on anyone's territory let alone a huge beast that seemed less than ecstatic at her being there and then there was the other being who just made her feel even more concerned for her safety the only question she couldn't answer was which of the two beings was more dangerous. Ofcourse the huge beast could easily kill her in a single blow but the other could kill her slowly and painfully, Ekoura wasn't one for violence she detested it believing it to be a foul and ugly form of life.
Attempting to back further into her makeshift home the weasel turned away hoping that they would just leave her alone to her solitude and misery. "please go away I'm not even worth the effort of killing in fact I'm not worth anyone's effort because if I was I wouldn't have been abandoned now please just go."
Curling into a tight ball Ekoura continued to repeat herself over and over again hoping that this was all just a bad dream that she would wake up from.

The wolf's growls echoed through the graveyard. The sound was low, but loud enough for anyone to hear, especially the creature hiding from him. What was hiding the box? Kiba didn't know. Whatever the other beast was it was alien to him, and that wasn't good. A scent he didn't know was one he needed to be weary of. He had learned that over the years of his travels. Kiba wasn't the only strange creature that lived here. There were plenty of beings that lived in this world that didn't seem to belong, most of those beings had a human form of some kind. Whether they were just born that way, or learned how to hide their true forms by wearing a human disguise. But some didn't like pretending to be human like he did, or simply didn't have one. This creature might fall into the latter category if it was small enough to hide in a box. It was small for sure, maybe small enough to not be a threat. Kiba wouldn't take a chance though. Just because it was small didn't mean it wasn't dangerous. He wouldn't know how much of a threat this creature would be until it showed itself.
What he would do once it did show itself was anyone's guess. Kiba didn't fight with every creature he saw. Unless it was food or an immediate threat he normally avoided fighting when he could. The wold had very little to fight for anyway. He had no mate or pups to protect, a pack, or even a territory to fight for, even though he was sleeping in this place he was going to move soon. In a few days or less this land was up for grabs to anyone who wanted it. If he wasn't worried about this creature in the place he wanted to sleep in he wouldn't care much to share this spot for one night. The wolf was just being cautious, he had to be cautious when he ventured into the human world. He would die otherwise. It was too dangerous for him to let his guard down, even if there was no threat involved. All he needed to know was if there was a threat here, nothing more and nothing less. It didn't seem like he would be getting an answer to that question any time soon. Whatever was in the box didn't seem to be willing to move. He heard some rustling in the box but whatever it was didn't bother to lift its head up. Kiba continued to growl as he took a step towards the box. He might not be able to see the creature just yet but he could tell one thing about it from here. It was afraid. The stench of fear was hard to mistake for the large beast. The scent was strong here, wafting off the other beast in waves. That was good, if the creature was afraid of him then he didn't have much to fear from it. The scent was enough to make him put his guard down...slightly. This animal was not out of the woods yet. He still needed answers from it and he wasn't going to let up until he was satisfied.
He was just about to warn the creature again when he caught a glimpse of something coming towards him. The giant wolf took a step back in surprise as the human approached. What the...a human? What was a human doing out in this place at this time of night? He didn't catch the man's scent when he had entered the graveyard, nor did he hear the person. He had been so preoccupied by the thing in the box he had failed to notice another potential threat so close by. This was bad, very bad. How long had the human been lurking here? Did the human male hear him speak? It was one thing if the human just saw him, he could easily disguise himself as an ordinary wolf, but if he heard him speak that was another story. It would know he wasn't truly a wolf. It might think he was more of a threat and attack him...or worse...it might treat him like one of its own. Kiba bared his fangs, hackles raised as he snarled at the newcomer. He wouldn't speak in case he hadn't been found out yet. But that wouldn't stop him from sending out a warning to the man.
The human much to his surprise didn't seem worried about him in the least. In fact the human ignored him completely and focused his attention on the creature hiding in the box instead. It was then that the creature spoke. The creature's words was the thing that caught him by surprise but how it said it. It didn't speak in its native tongue but spoke human...right in the presence of one. Whether it was aware that what it was doing was potentially dangerous or not he had no clue. No matter its reasoning it didn't change the fact that what it did was stupid. He should run, he should leave this place now that he had the chance. He had lost his resting spot tonight thanks to this human. He would have to spend the rest of the night covering as much distance as he could to make sure that he wouldn't be tracked down by animal control. Yet he didn't go. He wasn't sure why he did it but instead of running Kiba came closer. In a flash the giant white wolf came to stand over the box, using his body as a shield between the strange creature and the human. It was stupid of him to risk his own life for such a stupid creature but he couldn't bear the thought of abandoning some helpless animal in the hands of a human.

"I won't hurt you, it's alright." Cain started, his words directed toward Ekory.
How could he hurt anyone? He was pretty much one of the weakest people you'd ever meet, even if he had snapped. He had no weapons, no knife, nothing. He was pretty much defenseless against both the large wolf and the large weasel looking creature in the box. Abandoned? Why was she abandoned? Did she live with humans or some kind of supernatural until now? It made sense that she would live with supernaturals after all, he had never seen a large weasel walking around and able to talk. So that would suggest that she was as well supernatural. Just like the large wolf that he had heard talking but it was best not to push them.
Before he could ask who abandoned her, the wolf suddenly appeared much closer. Causing him to fall back a bit since he had been kneeling before the box in order to see in and not look intimidating due to his size. Seeing the wolf snarl at him, Cain sat up slowly so not to set the creature off.
"It's alright, I won't hurt either of you. I don't have anything that can, see?" Cain said in a calm voice, holding his hands up.
Course this revealed his scarred up palms but that didn't matter, Cain didn't care that the wolf was gonna see those. He was just showing them that he had no weapons and really, he was so thin and ill looking, how could anyone see him as a threat? He clearly didn't have any great amount of physical strength. Though he ended up putting a hand over his mouth as a few coughs left him, at least it wasn't a full out coughing fit. Once the coughs were done, he moved his hand away from his mouth but kept it away from himself and nowhere near the wolf. Just to show that he wasn't going to do anything.
"See? It's alright, I know you can talk. I know that the supernatural is real, my sister is one and no one else knows. It's alright." Cain added. "I'm Cain, do either of you have names?"

Ekory peaked from behind her tail all the while still curled up in her defensive albeit useless ball as she watched the wolf step infront of her box her heart beat raced as he let forth a squeak and immediately passed out her body rolling out of the box into the open air the moonlight radiating on her fur, though unconscious she could hear a voice though whose voice it was she didn't know and she didn't care to find out if she was going to die she didn't wan to know her would attackers name.
listening more closely on instinct she heard something about another female and a name, Cain or something along those lines Ekory didn't know what was worse that this wolf whose territory she had intruded upon was trying to protect at the cost of his own well being or that her own helplessness would get them both injured and possibly one of them killed waking slowly from her zombie like state she began to draw in the dirt at her feet. The strange drawings spelling her name.
Ekoura or Eko for short she didn't want to speak anymore incase this new stranger was some sort of weird supernatural collector who went round snatching and kidnapping supernatural beings for their own twisted enjoyment the last thing Eko wanted was to become some twisted freaks play thing, Backing away slowly back tot he safety of her makeshift home, Unaware of how grim the predicament she was in looked Ekoura just wanted to be left alone to wallow in her own self pity while she waited for her master to return was it so hard for others to understand that to pick up on her fear and sadness it sickened her down to her very core how weak and pathetic she was if only she were stronger more like the others of her kind but alas was customary of her kind the weak are thrown away discarded like broken tools.

He was acting like a fool, Kiba knew this. There was nothing stopping the snow white wolf from just leaving this place behind. He could have tried to defend his turf, it wouldn't be hard to take down this human even if he had some kind of weapon. The human was foolish enough to come this close to him while his guard was lowered. There was no way that the idiot could pull a gun on him that quickly if he chose to attack in that instance. The human was not a threat, and the smaller beast was even less so. But there was little point to it. If he fought he could stay in the graveyard for a night, but then what? It would only be a matter of time before he'd be hunted down by the rest of the humans in this area for killing this male. He could hold his ground for only a few days at best. This place no matter how hard he tried would never be his. As annoying as it was to try and find a new shelter before sunrise he could live with giving this place up. It was better to run.
It was better to run...
Yet he didn't. Instead he decided to stand his ground. And for what? For some pathetic whining creature he never met before. The beast wasn't even some lost wolf pup that would at least be worth protecting. Whatever it was it probably was not worth his time defending. But he couldn't just leave it with this human. It was obvious that it was no ordinary beast. Like him it could speak like a human. It was probably something supernatural like he was. It wasn't like most of the ones that wore human skin either, that much he could respect if it had the capability to do so. Even if it didn't it already was at a better standing in his mind than all the rest of the supernaturals he had the displeasure of meeting. Maybe it was worth defending after all? As pathetic and weak as it was. He would find out for himself eventually. So far that plan was turning out well. Kiba's sudden actions were enough to make the human nearly jump out of his skin, but not enough to make it leave. The human was startled but it recovered from its shock quick enough.
The fool attempted to ease the wolf's worries, showing that it had nothing on it to use and saying he was harmless. Kiba didn't lower his guard though, he kept growling even when the human started coughing. Now that he was closer to the human he could take in his scent. There was something wrong with this male, he could tell now. This human was sick. The wolf's keen senses were attuned for him to notice that much with prey at least. This man was right on one thing, he really was no threat at all. That fact was enough to make Kiba feel a little easier in handling him, but that feeling died fast when he said he heard him talking before. Great, so the human had heard him after all. So much for pretending he was an ordinary wolf. “I don't care what you do or don't know human. You are a nuisance, now get lost.” he snarled back. The wolf placed a gentle paw over the other creature's head to get her attention. He didn't take his gaze off the human but what he said next was directed to the female. “Run away from here, go as fast as you can and as far as you can. I will take care of things from here.”

Seeing the creature draw in the dirt, he tilted his head curiously. It looked like she was trying to write something. Well she did succeed in writing, even if it was a big squiggle. Hazel gaze behind the glasses looked down at the words, he was able to make out Eko.
"Eko yes?" Cain asked as he looked back toward the box.
Poor thing. She seemed so scared and Cain couldn't blame her. For some reason it reminded him of when Jubilee had come home after killing that man due to her need for blood. She was scared, trembling even. It took hours to get her to calm down and to stop trembling but even then he still had a hard time getting her to listen to his words. He turned his gaze back to the wolf as they snarled at him.
"I won't do anything against you two, I merely wish to help." Cain replied calmly to the wolf even though he got snarled at. "If I came to do harm, don't you think I would've done it already? I'm not here to do anything of the sort. I want to help, nothing more. Besides, it'd be easy for you to kill me considering I'm not as strong as others since I'm not in too great shape. You honestly think that I can do harm to either of you? Eko there is probably stronger than I am."
