In and out slowly filling her nose with the sent of the cervine ten yards in front of where she crouched. Her ancient animal instincts tell the odd colored Andrewsarchus to keep still until the first signs of the prey moving any farther. If it would only finish grazing the ground. The longest part of hunting was this wait. From a few seconds to several minutes, it feels like an eternity to a ravenous carnivore. Anxious and impatient, the carnivore flicks her ears trying to keep still. The deer finally looks up as if sensing the movement from the predator. The hunter leans forward preparing to attack then, a split second later, the anthro lunges forward towards her prey as it begins to step away from her line of sight. Her large maw splits open showing a full set of massive fangs that sink down into the warm tender flesh of the deer. The deer bellows out in pain and shock struggling to break free from the Andrew's grip only causing it to bleed more between the predator's jaws. The female holds the kill down waiting for it's last breath to be forced through the animal. Once the animal shudders and goes limp, the anthro stands up and throws her fresh kill over her shoulder then pads toward the south to the cave she stays in.
Walking into her cave, the female drops her kill after a few steps in. She continues to walk in until she is stopped by an unfamiliar scent. Her lips curl and a snarl forms in her throat as she begins to sniff around her den area. The area was covered in this stench as if something just came in and rolled around. How dare something enter her home! She had clearly marked the area on which she claimed and, still some creature disrespect her boarders? Oh was this animal going to be turned into a fur rug if she found it. The Andrew ventures deeper into the cave following the scent of the creature that had ventured in wanting justice for the wrongful crossing.
