Truly confused by Peter the Syrian vampire said, "What do you mean lend a hand? Is this some type of costume? You do not have a job you go to daily?" Since his return to the world of the living Marz realized that everyone was not a farmer anymore. Things had truly changed over the years and the agriculture culture that ruled the old times had now changed. People had started to really educate themselves and things were very different. There were stars or celebrities that got paid a lot of money to do not much of nothing. Marz remembered when being an educator was a good and noble job. Unfortunately now it seemed that everyone wanted fame.
Marz looked at Peter. "So are you one of the rich people? Me...I consider myself of modest means. I make a living but not much of one. I live below my means. I think I am still unmoved by the glamor of it all. I am from a humble beginnings so I keep that in my heart and my mind. Many would think I would have tons of money but after being alive so long...I find I can come into money far easier. There are many rich here in this city. I see the large homes and fancy cars. This wealth not overwhelming many of them surprises me."
Coming from such modest beginnings Marzban could never really understand the obsession with wealth. There were so many who killed and died for the almighty dollar. There were moments in time where he was rather well off. In all actuality his family were well off but he gave up all of that. The only thing he kept was his name. He knew if he kept any ties with them they would expect him to behave accordingly. Marz wasn't willing to do that. He was truly changed and reformed. He felt they could learn from humans and that they weren't simply just meals walking on two legs.

"No I have a job that I started at but....I've yet to be given a case. So I really can't do anything yet." Peter answered. "I'm not rich, no where near it."
He seemed to have given the vampire the wrong impression. Well...Peter felt a bit stupid now. How to put it?
"You see, I like to help others how need it. The reward I get for helping them is seeing them happy. It's not a job but something I like to do." Peter answered, hoping this was a better answer. "It's just my nature to help others out."

This concept was rather strange for Marz. While he was used working together as a community he never hears of just going around to help people for no reason whatsoever. It was strange task for one to commit themselves to. He had never heard of this. It was one of the new things he would learn about. Catching up with all of these things was rather tiring. How could one keep up with all these things that take place. Peter said it was his "nature" to help people who needed it. It was in Marz's nature to kill humans. He however was going against that. In his time being awake he has seen that human nature seems to only want to out survive or out shine one another.
Looking to Peter and smirking Marz said,"I guess you are rather rare yourself. It is hard to find people...humans....like yourself who seem to be selfless. Many of them are all about fame...fortune...making themselves seem so important and as if they are gods amongst men. They forget that they can be killed. They feel as if they should be praised for everything they do. This world is vastly different now."

"Yeah...guess humans haven't really changed throughout the centuries." Peter said as he sat there. "There are a few out there that aren't entirely like that but, it's a small few."
The night was slowly dragging on. True the lake was still beautiful, but it was strange that he was still awake. Normally around this time he would've been asleep. He wasn't tired which surprised him as well. It must've been the conversation that kept him awake. He looked back out at the lake and put his chin against his knees as he sat there. Well, he honestly had nothing else to bring up the conversation. All he could do was sit there and try to think of something.

Letting the night continue as it was a perfectly good option but Marzban knew that it couldn't continue. He had to take his leave. The sun would soon be up and he would have to start his task of finding a new job. He really couldn't continue working where he was at the moment. The clientele were the absolute worst. They made him feel inferior almost. The desire to kill them would rise within him far too often. The restaurant was indeed for the high end population but he didn't like the way they treated him. These humans were far too demanding. The worst part? They didn't pay him enough to deal with the bull...
Looking to Peter, Marz said, "While it was rather entertaining speaking with you and finding a human who isn't completely consumed with their own self I must take my leave. If I am going to live within your world I must work as you all do. I can't afford to pay the rent in my dwelling without money." Peter laughed as he said that. It was still rather amazing for him that they still had to pay for things. It would take a while longer for him to get used to that. The bartering system was still prevalent in his home land so money wasn't always used. Standing from his seated position Marz looked down to Peter and said, "Until we meet again Peter." Before one could even blink the vampire had taken flight into the sky and couldn't even be seen.

Hearing Marzban's words, Peter faced him to speak. But the vampire had already disappeared. Going silent, Peter nodded his head.
"See ya around." Peter said in more of a mutter.
Rising to his feet, Peter started to head back to the P.I.D.A. building. He didn't really want to get an apartment or his own home yet. So he was just living there for now.
