Her eyes closed carefully a slow easy breath escaping her lips as she pushed the stroller down the street. It had been a good while since she had left her apartment, however she just felt, for some reason that it was a good time to leave the apartment. Music playing in her head she could feel her small body which was slowly becoming the simple figure she had before start swaying.
"Now that your gone the world is ours..." Looking down at her daughter a small smile appeared on her lips as the small child's snake like eyes closed slowly sideways. The little girl hadn't been any trouble since her birth outside of the occasion side affects of the childs slinx side. Humming the lyrics to the song again Cali saw a small twitch happen in her daughters lips knowing she was trying to smile at her mother.
"Yeah, you like momma's singing? Yeah?" Caliko couldn't help, but laugh carefully as she slowly found a small area in the park to sit down. Sitting down next to her daughter's stroller carefully Cali pulled her guitar off her shoulder where it carefully laid and sat against the shaded tree she had found.
Strumming the strings carefully it became like a daily routine to the young Slinx once again,
"You were my conscience So solid, now you're like water And we started drowning Not like we'd sink any further But I let my heart go It's somewhere down at the bottom But I'll get a new one And come back for the hope that you've stolen I'll stop the whole world, I'll stop the whole world From turning into a monster, eating us alive Don't you ever wonder how we survive? Well, now that you're gone, the world is ours I'm only human I've got a skeleton in me But I'm not the villain Despite what you're always preaching Call me a traitor I'm just collecting your victims And they're getting stronger"
As she let the lyrics slowly escape her lips it came like it was all to natural for the woman. Finally after a while she stopped looking up at the clouds as they slowly passed over head wondering still about her friends whom she hadn't seen in months, "I wonder where they are all at now..." she whispered her mind slowly wandering off as she looked at her daughter's stroller and smiled.

“Seriously?” Remy was almost speechless by his incapability to produce anything on the damn canvas, which was still after a week gawking scornfully at the Basilisk’s uninspired irises. He was settled beside an enormous shaded tree, his rump plastered on the bench which was covered in assortments of painting materials. His casually stylish outerwear were powdered with tiny specks of paint from the containers scattered all over the seat. He never could work with perfect order, organized chaos all seemed to be the solution. As he gripped his paintbrush gruffly he pressed the threaded tip onto the white cloth, clueless of what to do next. Suddenly, disrupting his concentration was a soft melody behind him and slowly creeping to his left. Remy did not react but only listened to the words in silent stealth mode, taking in each syllable as the voice hummed to an unknown thing near her. Remy could not see what or who she was singing to, however when the woman sauntered underneath the tree beside his base, he noticed a little toddler inside a stroller.
His shaded eyes protected any sort of suspicion in his actions as he continued to keep a cool disposition in front of the canvas, making sure not to allow Caliko to notice his observations. His hand continued to hover and stroke invisible colors, producing no picture to satisfy him. “Hmph...” He growled, shooting his dangerous gaze from the new appearance and tried his best to concentrate on the object in front of him. Come on idiot, you need to get out of this rut. He hissed as his ‘charming’ snake demeanor uncovered itself in his frustrations. He needed to produce something, anything so he could keep the attention on him! This was not aiding his wishes of starting an exhibit at all; how can you have one if you have no work to show!
“Can we stop failing please and get something done?” He hissed again, cracking his knuckles in protest.
occ; sorry for the wait, was finally able to produce something. Hopefully this is alright!

Caliko continued to watch her daughter, still strumming on her guitar as she tried to think of something else to sing. It wasn't uncommon for her to lose track of time and her surroundings, so when she heard someone speak seemingly annoyed at themselves near her Cali jumped turning quickly almost tripping herself, but thankfully catching herself on the tree before she fell into her guitar. Looking to the man she could tell he was getting annoyed not at her, but the canvas in front of him. Tilting her head in curiousity Caliko grabbed her daughter's stroller and started over to the other side of the tree, "Having a hard time coming up with an idea?" She said a small smile appearing on her lips.
It was hard for her to trust people so keeping her daughter's stroller close Cali kept herself within sight of the canvas and man, however a small distance so as not to be within reach of him. With the birth of her daughter Caliko had become even more territorial than she normally was, which told her it was a mix of motherly instincts as well as the Slinx lineage in her blood. Allowing her eyes to close carefully sideways she tried to hide them just a slight bit, incase the man was human for if he was, she didn't need him running and screaming to the world. Something told her however that this man was something other than human, something that possibly, was close to her own lineage.
"It does get stressful when you can't get your mind to focus and do as you wish it to doesn't it?" she said a small laugh escaping her lips, "I hate it when I can't get any of my songs or covers to work out the way I want them to myself... having the artistic sides is some of the most complicated sides to have in my own opinion... I'm Caliko by the way... but you can call me Cali if you like. The little one is my daughter Jalissa, whats your name?"

Remy had not even noticed the Slinx stroll toward him for he was too enveloped with his frustrations however he was startled when he heard a woman’s voice try to console him shortcomings and the Basilisk turned suddenly to Caliko, his shaded irises staring intently at her and within moments, a familiar smell hovered to Remy as he could sense the reptilian familiarity in her. He wasn’t quite sure what both the intruders were, but they felt ordinary to him at least.
“Yes...” He whispered cautiously, hovering the empty paintbrush over the canvas still as he turned his protected gaze away from the two visitors and back to his original problem; the dreaded painting... more like lack of one. As the joyous girl prattled on about what aided her inspirations his black covered eyes glanced down to the tiny bundle in the stroller and noticed the rather odd unique look the child had for he had never seen such a child before. Remy sensed a mix of snake and possibly human? He had never witnessed a mix-blood of any kind (he hadn’t really seen many races in this city, but New Orlands’ stench was of all kinds of people many dangerous).
Remy spotted her attempts to hide her true appearance and he only peered curiously at her as her eye slitted, trying to shield the snake-like eyes staring back at him. The little one was not as good as her mother so the Basilisk could not deduct that they were not human. He decided that it was best to remove that tension between them as best as he could. “Do not worry about your eyes. I... I am not...” He paused in apprehension of revealing his true nature; was it safe for him to be so open with her? Of course it was, she seemed rather open with him!
“Oh! Uh...” He was taken aback by the sudden silence as Caliko was peering at the Basilisk, awaiting a response. Luckily for him, he had been able to pinpoint that she had asked for his name and he muttered nervously,”It’s Brenton... but people call me Remy...” He then paused and shot a glance to both and replied, “Nice to meet you...” He hoped his response had not come off aggressive since his instincts always seemed to overthrow common sense when greeting people.
ooc; bleh post, apologizes
