The sun began to go down as the world began to seem at peace with those who inhabbited it. A smile reached the rose pink lips of a blonde witch whom sat in a familiar spot to her. She was peeaking at her cell and eyeing a contact. Debating whether or not to get him to her. And if he did, he would see a small table behind the girl, set up with two plates and eatting utenciles. Aswell as two glasses and a bottle of sparkling apple-cranberry.
It wasn't just an evening of making the attempt to get him back - but mostly something nice. He had been so nice and patient with her. He had called a few times to make sure she was ok, but she avoided the call, just like she avoided everyone else. And once the majority of the depression wore off, Blake felt terrible. She was doing it again. And she needed to stop. Not just with El, but with everyone around her. She needed to break out of the habit of shutting those she loves and whom love her out of her life when things get hard. Her bright green eyes scanned the phone contact before her eyes softened and a gentle smile reached her face. She began to text the man.
'I'm at the lake.. Meet me if you can? (:' After a few seconds, the text was sent. All there was left to do, was wait. She stood on the rock, wrapping her blanket around her body and waiting. She was in a pale blue and white sweater; colors fading into one another. A pair of nice black straightleg pants, and a pair of flats. Her blonde hair was down and gently curled at the ends. Only masscera on her eyes and a faint gloss. She stretched some and only hoped he would come.

When he had received the text, part of him wanted to pretend he had not read it, that he had no more connection to its sender than he did with a neighbor. However, that seemed impossible. Nothing would ever be able to erase what he had felt for Blake, but he also knew it was near impossible, if not completely impossible, for him to allow the relationship to continue from where it had left off. He felt betrayed, and at the same time, he felt he had betrayed her. He felt responsible for her protection no matter the events that had passed.
Now he was there, unseen by her eyes, unfelt. He was confused. It seemed to be a common feeling when he was around her. It was unavoidable. There she sat beside a table set for two, right by the lake where they had first really made their attraction to one another known. He was next to her now, staring down at her, taking in her appearance. Blond hair instead of red. No more baby bump. His heart lurched. He had wanted to save the child, irregardless of the fact it was the child of someone else. It was a life, but it had not been in his right to make the choice.
He waited a few moments more, and then he materialized where he was behind her, and he knelt down to seat himself beside her. He did not say anything, not quite knowing what he was supposed to say. He did, however, reach his arm around her and pull her to him, allowing his hand to rub her arm gently. His cheek touched her hair, and he took in her scent, sending him into a terrible upheaval. This was all going against what he knew he should do, but right then, he was not sure he could stop himself.

The evening seemed quiet. It was quite lovely; she had forgotten the feeling of being so connected to nature like she had used to be. A simple feeling that she used to love more than anything. Now, here she was, waiting on a creature who loved all things, the way she had once done. Her eyes softened as the scene captivated her and she remembered playing with her few close friends in the rolling fields of Ireland. They pretended to be fairies, or dragon slayers... Anything outside of their non-fiction lives. And then, that warm feeling pulled her from her thoughts. That feeling that made her stomach flip and made her heart pound, rendering her breathless...
He showed up... She sensed that feeling she got when ever that brown optic looked at her, as if he was trying to read her like a book. To subside acting like a total girl, she remained still. She allowed him to gather his thoughts and make sense of himself on what to do. Her thoughts were too many and her impulses were all over the place. She wanted nothing more than to start talking, but instead, she remained silent. For she didn't know where to start with conversation as well. Her biggest thing was just him showing up at all. Why did he? Unless he missed her, too? And then he touched her...
Her eyes looked up at him as his fingers touched her pale skin and his head touched her hair. She felt as though the very breath was sapped from her lungs. For he still managed to take her breath away. She missed his presence and his warmth. His company always seemed to relax and sooth her. She didn't want to let this serene feeling go. Nor him, for that matter. Before she had time to think, she snuggled into him and closed her eyes. Before she knew it, she was turned to him and was holding him closely and tightly. She felt her eyes get a little misty, for El still moved her, even with the small things. The desperation of losing him for everything she had done - it was only enough to destroy her. She was barely holding on and she knew that he knew this as well. She sniffed and parted her rose pink lips.
"I'm so, so sorry, El.." was all she could muster up to say. Her voice cracked, and obvious sound that she was choking up and holding tears back behind her eyes. And she was sorry. El put up with a lot of her crap. She knew she was lucky to have him even show up. She pulled away, but her slender fingers clutched his shirt. She trembled a bit, her head remained lowered. She was trying to pull herself together. She couldn't allow herself to continue breaking down. Not on a night meant for them to enjoy. Silence fell, and the only sounds were her breathing and the gentle trickling of the lake water. A light brush from the breeze as it kissed the leaves on the trees and the grass.

As the wind embraced the foliage around them, gathering up their hair just slightly, the Angel could only imagine the consequences of the things he wanted to do. He knew it could not be wrong to love a person. Surely, loving was encouraged, but what of this kind of love? He breathed deeply of the unneeded air, his chest rising slowly, the feeling of her pressed against him making him wish they were back at the beginning, that it could all start over. Maybe it could, but he wasn't sure he could allow himself the chance.
"You have no more need to apologize for anything than I," he said softly. He reached up, fingers grasping her chin. "I am soon to be in need of forgiveness, however," he added at a low whisper. Slowly he came forward, tilting his head to the side as he pressed his lips to hers. She tasted sweet to him, more so than he remembered, and part of him said it was the sweet venom of the sin he was committing. Instead of pulling back, though, he slipped his hand behind her head, his other hand around her waist, beckoning for her to come closer to him again.

The wind could have just been knocked out of her as she felt his lips against hers. She never thought he would ever kiss her again. But she enjoyed it, just as she had before then. But this time, it was real. Her forgiving him was clear as she wrapped her arms and the blanket around his neck. She chuckled softly into the kiss as one hand cupped his neck. Her thumb began to brush his cheek as her lips took his into a whole, new world. Love. And boy, did she truly love him. She had her feelings for someone else, and she knew it could never happen. For Guillotine belonged to another, even though his mate and him broke, up. It could have been because they were both lonely. Nothing happened. Just a small moment shared of silent emotions. But this... El... Was real. This felt... Right...?
Soft pink lips pulled from his as her green eyes looked up into his one brown. Her elegant fingers stroked his cheek as she parted her lips to speak, "Why do you need it...?" she smiled and stood up. Her smile faded slightly as she could feel a strange overwhelming feeling come through. But the worry slipped from her face, as she was trying to have a good evening. She knew, if this ended well... For El as well as herself... She would leave with someone who loved her; a partner; a protector. She would gladly do the same for him. She could care less of her slowly aging body. For the abilities of Khaine - certain things still lingered... She had ways to make herself ageless as well. If he ever asked it of her.
Her hair curled behind her ears as she smiled softly, "You.. Hungry...?" A loving look in her eyes as she looked into his eyes.

The moment had lasted for so very short a time. For him, it had not quite been enough, and his eye lingered on her lips for a moment longer, till his eyelid slid shut in his silent reverie. His hands slipped from about her form as she stood, and his eye opened to look back at her. Quietly, he stood after her, though he knew not what to say in response to her first inquiry. He felt something in his heart was not right, that he was going against what God had wanted for him, and yet it all felt right. She made it right.
He was a bit taken aback by her question concerning his hunger. He did not really get hungry, as it was. However, he was still curious, and food was enjoyable. He smiled and nodded his head in a positive answer. "What is it that you are offering?" he asked, eyeing the little table that had been priorly set up. He was very interested now in what she had planned.

A smile reached her lips that grew even wider. She was pretty excited to have a nice dinner with him. And she made a family favorite. Chicken legs, fried. Mashed potatoes, gravy, and coleslaw. Also, bread rolls. She looked up at him and bit her lip, "Sorry it's not fancier... It was something I wanted to make for you... 'cept the coleslaw... That was store bought." she chuckled and opened the bottle of sparkling cran-apple juice and poured some into each glass, handing him one. She softly sipped it and giggled as the bubbles tickled her nose.
Her eyes quickly moved to him, gently stretching her lips into a soft smile, "I am happy you.. Came.." she was blushing at this point. It felt as though it was the beginning, to her again. But to El, maybe not. But either way, she was going to love him until the end of time, if he would let her. She placed her cup down on the table, a hand softly caught his cheek. Capturing his focus on her. She held back a lot of emotions as he looked at her. It was so moving that she couldn't help but allow a tear or two to slip. The witch captured the heart of an angel, it seemed. And she felt privlaged, lucky, and worthey all at once. Which is why this was hard to sau, for the fear of what he would say.
"El.." she started, "Be... Mine... Please?" she then felt her heart pound and she clenched her fists, "I love you... And I know you love me... I wanted.. To skip the start over..." she said gently and took his hand, "I already know what I want... And I would rather face the ages of this world that I can face with you at my side... And myself at yours.. Than face it all without you..." she then closed her eyes, "And I will not miss or mess up my shot up with you again... I couldn't live with myself the first time... I can't..." she trailed off and looked in thought, wiping a tear, "I can't... I just can't... Not again..."

He accepted the glass she handed to him, and he took a small sip, his eye never once leaving her face. There was still a lot she did not know about him, and he had to admit that there was still more to know of her. He wanted to know everything about her, to redo all the old things like favorites and passions. What things had possibly changed since the first beginning?
Then she spoke again, and her hand touched his face. He listened, and his free hand went up to wipe away one of her tears, lingering there on her cheek as she continued. His mouth was set in a flat line, uncertainty and fear plaguing his mind. But that was short-lived, for he knew despite himself that he loved her, and he would give up anything to be with her, if she would have him alone.
"You have nothing to fear anymore," he said, his thumb gently caressing her dampened cheek. "I will be yours, if you will be only mine." He felt possessive more so now than ever.

She listened to the man and trembled a bit. In too much shock that this man had said yes to her, and that it felt right. He wanted her, as well. Which captured her heart and moved her even more. She closed her eyes and a few more tears passed from her lids and down her cheeks. She smiled and opened her wet eyes; looking up at the angel with deep love for him. She nodded and began to part her lips.

"es.. I will be yours, and yours alone..." she smiled sweetly and snuggled into her new boyfriend's chest. Her mind thinking a moment as she was trying to get her head straight. Ah, yes! His job and his 'father'. No problem! She knew all of this came first. She would expect nothing less of him. But then it worried her. What if he was giving that up for her? She looked up at El, true worry in her eyes, "You are still one of His children and a guardian angel, right...?" for if not, she felt terrible for taking him from that righteous life and lifestyle. She expected him to put all that first and then their new relationship. His job was important to her as well, for it made him, him. She stood waiting and on the other hand, tuned in the song of nature, to ease her anxiety.[/blockquote]

He smiled at her concern, a light chuckle escaping past his lips. He had not broken any laws yet. "Our Father is forgiving, and like humans, we, too, have a choice. I do not think He would have let me come this far if our love was forbidden." Not and him keep his angelic status, anyway. He wiped away what remained of her tears and leaned forward to kiss her forehead. "Do not fear for me, for I will accept whatever consequences my actions may ever warrant." He would not simply give up his servitude, but as long as this relationship did not interfere with his duties, he did not think it was be that big of a deal.
"Shall we?" he asked, gesturing to the table. "I still have much to learn of you, and I want to begin as soon as possible."

She closed her eyes and smiled at the sweet gesture that he fed to her. He truly was a keeper, a true man who was meant for her. Or so it seemed. She liked the idea of thinking this man was meant for her. Seemed cheesey to love this strange love. But it was so worth... Everything. He was already showing it, even with the little things, which made her stomach flip. Not exactly a bad thing. Just means she was in love. Most people felt this way. And it helped even more with his confidence of the situation, that it meant that he won't lose his place or become cast out. But she remained worried when the angel told her that he will take his consequences. He was right, though. God wouldn't have let him get this far ir it was.forbidden.
She smiled and took her seat as requested. She wanted to know him as much as he wanted to know her. But where to start? There was a lot to cover. Oh! Yes! She looked up at him and grinned, "Well, I never told you... But my father's parent's died, last time I left... After you got the venom out of my back..." she said softly. It still was sad to her. To know that when she visited her family, the old house still smelled like them, but they were not there anymore. Course, thus was a sad subject. She needed to share happier things, "I am still going to school."

He sat across from her as he listened, and his mouth tightened, though it strained to keep a smile. "They are no longer able to suffer in this world," he said, one of his few condolences. "It is certainly not something upon which you should allow your mind to linger." He went about setting up the plates with the food she had provided, one for her first, then himself. It smelled delicious, although he had to admit, southern food was still something he was growing accustomed to. His smile became more . . . genuine, as he recalled all the new things he had discovered over the past few years. Things were changing, and at the same time, he was not. He would never change. It was a comfort, and yet, it pained him a little.
However, he was not about to let those types of thoughts drag him away from this moment in time. He would enjoy what he could, while he could. She brought up school, and it occurred to him that he knew nothing of her studies and level of academics. After bowing his head and offering a simple 'thanks' to his Lord, he asked, "What are you studying?"

A smile graced her lips as the man set up the plates and dished them out, after filling both with food. But her smile grew when he said a little prayer. With that, she did the same. Respecting him while in his presence was key to her, as well as Him. Once she took her plate, she reflected on what she prayed for. She said a prayer for El, her family, her friends... Khaine was back. And people would die. She knew this. She flushed, frustratingly. She wished she had El's self control, so badly. But it was unfortunate that her human side showed the emotions she bore. She clenched the fist that was on the table and began to inwardly blame herself. If El could hear her heart, it was pounding hard and fast. Which sped up her breathing. But she was soon torn from her thoughts. El spoke, she jumped up, giving her attention to him, as she should have been. She swallowed, feeling terrible for listing sight of him in her mind and focused on something else. Her green orbs meet his face as she softly smiled top his question.
"Nursing..." She said gently, a smile still resting on her pale features, "I like medicine... And the arts.." she seemed almost girlish with her flushing features - mostly at the last comment. She seemed almost embarrassed by liking the arts, but she knew he wouldn't be anything but thrilled. What with his musical career. She indulged in her studies, but always found herself dancing, painting, humming, or testing for instrumental practice.

With that soft smile so characteristic of his personality, he reached his hand across to rest reassuringly on her clenched fist. He was no mind-reader, but he had become accustomed to seeing when something was wrong with someone he cared about. "Both are equally valuable areas of study," he said, giving her hand a small squeeze before releasing it. He would not inquire as to her prior thoughts, not wishing to encourage the indulgence of negativity. Instead, he hoped to help her see things in a more positive light. "Which form of art do you enjoy most?"

Love was a strange thing in the world of romance. It could be good or bad. Sometimes it ends good, other times, it ends tragically. In this case, it would have ended in tragedy. However, it had not. The downs wee the storm, before it got better.now, things were going great. His touch was enough for her to lose this great cloud of fear and worry. The anger had disappeared. Her green hues looked up at the man with interest as he spoke. He knew something plagued her mind, and it was bothersome to the point that it showed. He squeezed her hand, but gently and her stomach felt as though it had done a flip. A sign that everything truly was ok.
She raised her glass to her pale lips and smiled at the man as she sipped her drink; listening to him speak. She nodded, in response to his comment of both of the subjects being good to take. Personally, she enjoyed the academics that came with the medical field, but enjoyed the play and creation of the art world. She was a very artisic person, and loved to express her imagination in all walk of the art world.
"Where do I begin?" she chuckled and then thought a moment, "I enjoy singing... I love to draw and paint... I enjoy dancing... I enjoy music and the theatre... " she smiled softly at El and began to think even more, "I would have to say... I like all of the arts... Dare I say, you were a muse of mine for a particular drawing..."
