Hermes followed, trying to keep from growing to much but it was hard. His eyes were still green and anyone who looked at him would probably know something was up due to the red flooring and the scales. This was just great. He had no problem leaving school while it was going, he had wanted to do that in the first place. Today just wasn't his or his brother's day.
As his brother stopped and motioned for him to stay back he hid behind the corner and listened to the conversation. Great another hold up, he was growing in short bursts now because of trying to hold it back till they could get out. This was becoming a very big pain. He didn't know what would happen if anyone ever found out but he wasn't willing to take that chance.
He tried not to laugh as the girl asked if he was in trouble again and his brother having to cover and lie was for some reason funny to Hermes. He was suddenly in a better mood, what was that about? The anger was still there but as he listened to his brother lie his way out if the situation Hermes just found it funny.

"WEll, I hope he doesn't get into too much trouble after this. He might be a bit spooky but like you say, he might be nice." the girl said, Jericho laughed lightly.
"I don't say he might be nice. I say he is nice if you give him a chance." Jericho replied with a smile though the girl soon tilted her head.
"Jericho....why is it you're taller?" the smile faded and he blinked. "You seem awfully taller than you were yesterday. Did you get a growth spurt?"
"No, no. Ha. I'm just standing on a ladder. Can...can I talk to you later? I'm just a bit busy with this."
"Oh, sure. See ya later."
Jericho watched teh girl walk back the way she came and thus disappear. A relieved sigh left but it was short lived as his own change progressed in a rather..noticable way. The horns that had disappeared earlier came out, causing Jericho to grab hold of the wall and dig the claws on his one hand into it. That hurt!!! Well there were still more horns to appear but right now that wasn't best to have happened.
"Come on." Jericho said to Hermes as he started down the halls once smore.
A door was soon in sight and as he opened it, he made sure no one was in it. It was the Gym. Oh thank goodness. There wasn't Gym class at this hour so the large room was empty. And just across the way there was a door that lead outside. IT was locked on the outside but no the inside. So they could get out that way. Running over to it, he opened the door and looked to his brother.
"You first." Jericho told him.

For a moment before the girl walked away Hermes debated on if he should ruin all the lying and walk out to where she could see him. Then she walked away and he lost his chance. "Why do we hide what we are? There are other supernaturals here, it's not like we really have to," Hermes said, his tone going deeper and more to what you would expect from his dragon form.
He was really close to shifting, and it was really starting to show in everything he was doing and saying. If they didn't get out of the building in the next five minuets he wasn't going to be able to get out. He was of course following his brother through the school.
Thank goodness a door came into sight and no one was in the room. Running across the gym after his brother he was glad that you can open locked doors from the inside or they would never get out. He ducked through the door as his brother insisted that he go first. Of course it would be just their luck that the bell to release class would ring right as he was through.
"Hurry, or let them find out," Hermes said to his brother, this being the gym it wouldn't take people long to get in here for class. When Jericho was out Hermes would dash for the nearest stretch of woods that he knew of. Hopefully he wouldn't fully change till he was there, on the bright side if he did he could fly.

"Do you want everyone to freak out and call us monsters?" Jericho questioned back. "Not everyone is very accepting toward the supernatural. Besides we already have it hard enough.”
Jericho spoke true, people would freak at nine foot dragons. Just beacause there were other non-humans around, didn't mean it was wise to go showing it. Accursed bell...such aannoying thing. He should've grabbed his books so he could take them home. A familiar pain went through his head as the other horns started through, causing him to take step.
Course he really didn't have time for this. Bolting after his brother, Jericho was seriously hating his brother's ill temper. It was due to it they were in this mess.

"Honestly I don't care if I'm called a monster, then everyone will know to leave me alone. If those bullies had known they probably never would have stuffed you in that locker you know," Hermes said, the more he thought about it the more he thought it would be an okay idea. Of course Jericho probably wouldn't think the same thing.
Of course people would freak at nine foot dragons but they would also leave their human sides alone. He had no doubt that it would hinder him making friends but it wouldn't bother Hermes, he was fine on his own anyway.
"Your going to blame me for this aren't you?" He asked curiously as he ran, but of course his brother would blame him, it was his fault.
He ran till he was well into the woods, changing little by little as he ran. But of course he had been doing that since he ran into those bullies who were messing with Jericho. When he felt he was deep enough he just let the change take him and within a minuet he stood on all fours as a dragon. Oh it felt wonderful to be a dragon again. He took off into the air, going for even thicker forest in the middle of no where so no one would see him. He hoped his brother would follow, at least for a little while. He didn't care who saw him at the moment, no one knew who he really was.

"Showing off what we are ISN'T GONNA MAKE ANYTHING BETTER!!!" Jericho snapped, his height shot up to the seven foot range now. "It'll make it far worse!"
It wouldn't do them any good to show them what they were. They'd fear them and really...the hate wouldn't go away. It would be worse. They might even try to kill them! All because they were different. Different with dangerous powers. Hermes might not of wanted friends but....but Jericho did. He wanted to be able to socialize with people and honestly, he wanted that for his brother. They needed others they could trust and confine in besides each other. What would their parents do if they were here?
It is your fault!!! You're the one who lost it and pretty much made it worse!!! Jericho thought.
Alas...he couldn't say it. He didn't have the heart too say it. Not now. His brother was expecting it and as such...it would do no good to voice it. A sigh left him as he paused in the forest, allowing his brother to keep going. Maybe giving him some alone time was best? His brother probably did like to fly alone.

"Of course but then they'll know that we can attack back. They'll understand that they can't push us around,"Hermes said to his brother, to him it still sounded like an okay thing to do. Of course that would also mean that there would be people out there who would want to kill them but that was beside the point. He was trying to convince his brother that it wasn't a bad idea.
The hate might not go away, Hermes wasn't even sure that it currently was hate. It was just a desire to pick on someone that seemed smaller and weaker than what they were. In reality though Hermes and Jericho were much stronger than any human. He had no idea what their parents would do if they were here but he was pretty sure that they wouldn't be happy with him. He didn't want to make friends really and he was fine with just being around his brother.
With no remark from Jericho, Hermes just stayed silent as well. He knew that Jericho blamed him, Jericho wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for him. He didn't notice right away when his brother paused and let him keep going, by the time he did he wasn't sure where his brother was. Maybe he should just fly for a while and cool off completely. He sighed and kept going, his anger slowly dieing and leaving him just flying around. He then went to look for his brother so that they could go home, it was to late to go back to school.

It wouldn't do any good. None at all. Jericho thought to himself.
Why couldn't Hermes see the risks of showing what they were? The dangers with it and how it wouldn't help in the slightest? That was just how his brother was. The one who didn't consider the ill effects on what he thought. Jericho was just the worry and saw both sides, the negatives more than the positive. But he could see the positive.
It felt pointless to try and explain it to his brother, so Jericho just let him go. Turning into his real form and taking a seat on the ground. Really he should've stretched his wings out in a test flight but...he just didn't see the point in it. Orange eyes kept their gaze to the ground as the minutes ticked by and thus the day went by.
