So this was the person that came to visit after she did. Annie didn't know what to think about the stranger when she first saw him. After all she had no idea who he was and why he was here. But The kind prince who knew that this man was around before she did didn't seem worried at all once he had sensed his presence. If the prince wasn't worried than the stranger couldn't be a bad man, he had to be a friend. The wizard was too nice to have bad friends so he couldn't be bad right? That was how Annie saw it. If this man was friends with her new found friend then she wanted to be friends with this man too. Despite her concerns about Mr. Tibbers strange behavior Annie put on a smile and introduced herself. The stranger didn't reply back, but it was Akhtar who introduced him. The new man was named Gil it seemed. A strange name for a strange looking man. Gil was strange looking indeed, the little girl could sense that he wasn't normal just like she could with Akhtar. What he was though she couldn't tell, just like the prince he was something new to her. His aura wasn't the only thing that was peculiar. Annie could see the leg brace he was strapped up in and the cane he was using to lean against. It was obvious that the poor guy had gotten himself hurt in the past, it was probably hard for him to walk like that. She couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him. It was a pity she didn't have the power to heal if she did she could help him out.
Oh well, she couldn't heal him but she could at least try to cheer him up. The girl moved closer to Gil, eager to check the new man out when Tibbers started to react again. This time Annie understood the bear's feelings more than she had before. Tibbers wasn't happy because he saw Gil as a bad man. Gil was a bad man? Annie didn't understand it. Akhtar had said that Gil was his friend, so why would Tibbers think he was bad? Maybe Tibbers was wrong. Annie doubted that though. She had been with Mr. Tibbers a lot longer than she had been with the prince so she knew that she could trust the bear's judgement. If Tibbers said Gil was a bad man then he was probably right. Crimson eyes watched the big man cautiously. Annie knew what she had to do with bad men, she couldn't let this bad man hurt her or her new friend. She would have made her move if the prince didn't step in. Akhtar tried to explain to her and Tibbers that Gil wasn't a bad man, but special kind of like he was.
“Really?” the girl looked between the prince and Gil, still unsure what to think. Maybe the prince was right. Mr. Tibbers was much better at spotting those with powers than she did. He could always tell her who was special and who wasn't. Still it was rare for him to get upset about it. But maybe all that meant was that Gil was extra special. The situation was still pretty confusing. The prince was saying one thing and Tibbers was saying another. Who was she suppose to trust here? She wasn't sure what to do, but in the end she didn't have to choose a side because Gil revealed his true self to her.
“Maybe that is because he knows I eat little girls like you for breakfast.”
“W-hat?” Annie took a step back from the man when she heard what she said. Did he just say he ate little girls? She was a little girl, did that mean that he wanted to eat her too? The girl's body shook, Gil's words scared her but her fear didn't even come close to Mr. Tibbers anger. The bear's rage seeped into her, mingling in amongst her feelings. He didn't like the threats to his master. Tibbers wanted out, he wanted to hurt the bad man before he could hurt her. But she couldn't do it. Annie didn't have much strength in her to summon him and she knew it. Fire was one thing, but letting Tibbers out took more energy than she had to give right now. If she let him out now bad things will happen. But if she didn't do something...
He will kill us... a cold voice echoed through her head.
Burn...burn it... came another.
I don't want to die, I don't want to die, I don't want to die!
More voices echoed through the child's mind all at once. Annie clutched her head as the voices grew. Oh no, it was happening again. It was getting harder to focus now with the voices. She hated when this happened, if she didn't do something to calm them down she would lose consciousness like the last time. “S-shut up.” she hissed. No no no no, she didn't want to black out again. She didn't want to go through this again. The voices didn't seem to hear her above all the noise they were making amongst themselves. There was one voice though that spoke louder than the rest. Do you want to die? the first one asked her. “N-no.” of course she didn't want to die! Then let Tibbers kill him before he kills you. The voice urged.
The voice was right she knew it. Annie had to protect herself but if she let Tibbers out she wouldn't last much longer. If only Anthony was here, he would protect her. But he wasn't here, she had to deal with the bad man so the voices would be quiet. Annie didn't notice that Gil had come closer to her until he spoke, this time threatening Tibbers. This time the girl smiled, she made up her mind. If he wanted to eat her he would have to beat her first. “Tibbers thinks you will make a better chew toy mister.” small sparks of flame began to swirl around the child as she spoke. Annie gathered up as much power as she could from within herself and channelled it into the stuffed animal. “Do you want to play with him? Tibbers can't wait to play with you.” Annie let the seal break as she dropped the teddy bear. The stuffed animal burst into flames and grew. When the flames died in the teddy bear's place stood a giant demonic bear. The beast was twice the size of a grizzly bear, all teeth, claws, and fire. The beast roared at the creature called Gil, standing in between the bad man and its master. The world around Annie began to spin and the girl's legs collapsed under her. But despite her weakness the child giggled and watched Gil with wild eyes. “Get him Tibbers!”

Akhtar couldn't believe what was taking place in front of him. He wanted to chastise Gil but he wouldn't do it in front of Annie. The hellhound was completely beside himself. He knew Gil didn't like children but he thought Gil had grown up a bit because of his time being spent with PIDA. Akhtar was wrong...Completely wrong. Gil was still as childish as before. Not able to completely keep his anger at bay he hissed almost silently to Gil, "GIL!! Mind your tongue!" They were after all in his home and both were invited guests so he didn't care what issues they would have with one another. Akhtar said to Gil, "I recall giving the person who destroyed my store a job there so just trust my judgement. I mean after all you haven't been having any Havoc troubles have you? You're not the only one who can protect people." There was almost a glint of power in Akhtar's eyes.
The prince knew what was about to take place in his home. He couldn't believe the way Gil was behaving. What had gotten into him. Perhaps it was something with he and the bear. Akhtar had to admit that there was something with the bear...After all he had seen it eating a cookie. He looked on as Gil continued to provoke Annie. He couldn't say at that very moment why he didn't intervene sooner. Perhaps it was the shock that got him. He wasn't completely sure. He knew he wouldn't allow Gil to harm a child but he wouldn't allow said child to harm Gil either.
A dangerous situation was brewing in the foyer. Annie was becoming distant. She seemed to be having her own battle in her head. Akhtar stood watching in concern for the girl. He walked towards her when she seemingly returned to normal. Akhtar stepped back a little. As soon as the flames erupted Akhtar sprung into action. He was not about to have his home destroyed by two bickering children. He threw his hands up and an invisible shield formed around himself and Gil. Gil wouldn't be able to break through it nor would the bear. The sound of a phoenix's song pierced through the air and the blue flames erupted from Akhtar's body surrounding him. The fire burned intensely and brightly. He spoke in a voice that was almost not his own saying, "STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!! WE WILL NOT CONTINUE YOU LIKE THIS!"
He knew that Gil wasn't one to back down from a challenged and he was ready to take on both the demonic bear and his hellhound friend. He was a wizard prince after all. He also had a trained warrior wizard and a very skilled which in Sara as well. He was not going to watch them kill one another.

Guillotine rolled his forest green eyes like a sassy teenager when Akhtar told him to mind his tongue. "Whatever you say." The prince wasn't pleased to hear that Gil didn't quite trust his judgment. Then again who could blame him? Akhtar and the hound had history together. Akh then went on to say that Gil wasn't the only one who had the power to defend those he cared about. The prince even had the balls to bring Havoc into the conversation. Just hearing his deceased pack member's name brought back painful memories. Guillotine stood there for a moment, looking almost as if he were lost in thought, before shaking his head like a wet dog. He then replied, his tone sounding a bit irritated. “Yeah, yeah, I know.” Gil was really too immature for his own good.
A loud, boisterous cackle erupted from Guillotine’s jaws when Annie took a step away from him. Gil could see fear in her eyes. Was this little girl really taking what he said seriously? Well, suppose his words were true. He used to devour children without so much as a second thought. Their flesh was nice, tender and juicy. Not to mention children seemed to be everywhere, so finding one to munch on hadn't been too difficult. They didn't give much of a chase either.
Those days of happily eating whatever he wanted were nothing more than distant memories now. If it hadn't been for the P.I.D.A’s influence Gil would still be snacking on little hands and feet behind the Prince's back. It would be sad to say that even Annie would be on his menu. Perhaps she could tell? The beast could sense her distress and he was loving every minute of it. She was really scared of him. A large crooked grin appeared onto Guillotine’s face. He could feel it, the fear, the distress, the anguish. Her inner suffering made him feel powerful. Gil's heart began to race, pumping high doses of adrenaline through his system, and ultimately feeding his inner beast. Instinct was starting to pull the reigns when Guillotine's eyes changed to a deadly blood red color.
Guillotine could feel his instinct beginning to take over, he didn't fight it. He did not want to fight it. Gil was in the mood for a chase, despite his injured knee, he would make due. For a brief moment the hound seemed to have forgotten about the wizard prince that stood next to him. His eyes were locked onto the child before him. Gil had begun to stare intently at Annie, as if waiting for her to run. If she did decide to run the beast would chase her down. Instinct was clouding his judgment, and making him into a real monster.
Some things never change.
“What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you are scared?” Guillotine teased, his inner bully came out in full. “Pitiful, absolutely pitifu-” Gil’s voice suddenly grew silent as little Annie began to act strange. One minute Annie seemed perfectly fine, then the next she appeared to be yelling at beings that weren't there. Gil cocked his head to the side, curious. The male wasn't sure what had come over her, but something was definitely stirring inside that tiny body of hers, he could feel it.
Once Annie came to her senses she replied to Guillotine’s comment about the bear. What she had said caused Gil to laugh. So, Mr. Tibbers was going to use him as a chew toy? “Oh, really? I’d like to see him try!” The little sh*t was just a teddy bear. There was no way a tiny little bear could harm him, right?
Oh, how wrong he was.
In mere seconds the stuffed bear ignited into a blazing inferno. Gil looked on watching with excitement as the flames died down and a large beastly bear stood in the toy’s place. “Haha, now this is getting interesting!” Gil cooed, licking his lips with satisfaction. Finally, he could get a little action! Being locked inside all day did a real number on the hound. He wasn't meant to be held up on some human’s couch. No, the hound was bred for destruction! The beast missed the good old days, back when he used to fight anyone, and everyone, he came across. He missed the rush of battle, and the ecstasy of victory. Now he could finally return to that moment in time that he so desperately yearned for.
“Bring it, you little sh*t!” Guillotine readied himself for the bear’s attack. For once he had a plan brewing within that thick skull of his. Whenever the bear got to him he would transform and burn the damn thing alive. Unfortunately, he didn't stop to think that maybe it was fire proof. But Luckily for him Akhtar was one step ahead. Before Tibbers could get to him Akhtar brought up a force field of some kind. Guillotine's hopes for a fight were quickly dashed. Great, just as things were getting exciting Akhtar had to go and ruin it. “Come on, Akhtar. Let me teach this bitch a lesson!”

The tables were starting to turn on the man called Gil. At first the man's bullying tactics had worked on the little girl but now Annie was going to make him pay. Gil was a bad man, that much she was certain and Annie had dealt with bad men. That was what she was raised for after all, to punish bad people. In the past it was her masters that defined who were the bad people. It had taken some time for Annie and her brother to figure out that their masters were bad people too, when they did they punished them just like the others. From then on the twins were the ones who decided who were the ones who decided who was bad and who wasn't. For Annie anyone who threatened her or those she cared about were the bad ones. Gil had threatened not just her life but her best friend Tibbers too. For that he needed to be punished. Even the voices agreed with her. How foolish she had been to fear this foolish bad man. Annie wasn't a weakling, she had the power to make bad people go away and she had to make this one go away forever. What better way to do that then let Tibbers deal with him. The bad man wouldn't think he was so tough anymore when Tibbers came out to play with him.
Unfortunately Gil wouldn't be as easy to deal with than those she had dealt with in the past. The man was stronger than a human, that much was certain. But his power was not the problem here, it was hers. Annie was not at her best right now. Days of little sleep and hunger had taken a toll on the child's body and thus her abilities. She only had enough power to take a place for herself for the night if the original owners decided to put up a fight. That was just her own power too, with what she had she didn't have much energy in her to break Tibber's seal. She was lucky that the prince didn't want to fight her, it spared what little energy she had left. But if she had a chance to punish Gil she needed to rely on Tibber's strength even if it would only last for a few minutes. Summoning Mr. Tibbers had taken its toll on the girl, the moment her bear took on his true form the child lost her ability to stand. Annie didn't mind it though, Tibbers was here now and he would kill Gil for her before he killed her.
On Annie's orders Mr. Tibbers went after Gil. The beast stood up on his hind legs and took a swipe at him with his massive burning claws. But when he should have sliced through flesh his claws hit Akhtar's barrier. The demon bear stumbled back a bit from the recoil and roared angrily at the bad man. Annie couldn't believe her eyes. Why couldn't Tibbers hit him? “N-no.” Annie's vision began to blur, she didn't have much time left to finish the bad man off. Annie had only giving Tibbers enough power to last on his own for a few minutes if she lost consciousness. She had to stay awake for him to last longer. The way things were going now she wasn't going to make it on time. If she collapsed now Tibbers wouldn't be able to finish Gil off, and if he didn't do that they'd both die. “Tibbers...y-you've go...to-”.
The bear charged at the hellhound a second time, completely ignoring the wizard when he felt his master lose consciousness. Tibbers stopped in mid swipe to and turn his attention to his fallen master. This was not good. His summoning had taken too much power from her and now she was even more vulnerable than before. What was he going to do now? Tibbers only had two options, he could either follow through with Annie's orders and kill the dangerous hellhound. Or he could use what little time he had left to better protect the child he was bound to. Tibbers growled at the hellhound, coward. If he was going to hide behind his master's shield then so be it. The hellhound couldn't hide forever. One day he would kill the dumb beast, but for now he had more important things to do. The giant bear turned away from his opponent and went to the fallen girl's side. He scooped the child up with one paw and charged out the door, breaking the entrance for the second time that night. He wasn't going to risk losing this form and leaving his master around dangerous creatures. The hellhound was dangerous on his own, but the wizard was even more powerful. Tibbers wasn't sure who's side that man was on and he wasn't going to hang around to find out.
((This might be my last post depending on what happens next. Unless you want me to drag Jesse in this to come pick up Gil XD let me know if you want me to do that or not.))

Akhtar turned his head quickly to Gil. He was not happy by what Gil was doing. He said to him, "Gil will you stop!" Things were not turning out well. Tibbers charged Akhtar and Gil. He was not worried because of the protective shield. The shield didn't take much energy from the wizard because he had been training with simple spells like that from early in his childhood. He was trying to protect his friend and diffuse the situation at the same time. Akhtar watched in horror as Annie passed out on the floor. He wanted to pass the barrier and run to Annie but he couldn't. He didn't want to risk having to fight the bear. He could easily cause damage to the bear without breaking a sweat but he didn't want to break Annie's trust in him.
The bear was trying its best to get to Gil. Akhtar was certain the bear would try and attack him as well. The bear eventually left Gil and Akhtar and turned to Annie who was passed out on the floor. She was unconscious and it appeared the bear was attempting to protect her from them. Akhtar was honestly not a threat to her and he was 90 percent sure Gil wasn't one. He looked on as his front door was destroyed once more. He shook his head in annoyance and anger. As the bear passed Akhtar watched in angst. He couldn't let the young child go back into the streets again. She may not live much longer if she continued that way. Turning to face the front door he raised his hands up and brought them in front of him.
The blue flames that surrounded his body shot forward and the flames shot through the open door. The loud screech of the phoenix pierced the night sky as the blue flames illuminated the darkness as the shape of the bird flew into the sky. Akhtar had allowed his phoenix to leave him to go and follow the girl and her bear. He wanted to be able to find them once he got done with Gil. Akhtar had to admit he was bit weak now. He had used a lot of power repairing his door once more and returning his home to the exact state it was before Annie arrived the first time. He was using a lot of magic all at once. He wasn't an ancient like many of his older siblings and his parents so these small tasks were starting to wear on him especially since he was already tired from working the entire day.
Turning around to face Gil completely the anger was visible on his face. Akhtar said, "Guillotine why must you ALWAYS start chaos? Has working with PIDA not changed you at all? Gil you can not go around doing these things. That was a CHILD! It did not matter if she was human or not..You can not continue this and now she was gone away. She is a weak child and now she can seriously get hurt." Akhtar had his cell phone appear in his head and dialed Jesse to come and get his partner. Akhtar was not pleased with the hellish beast. He wanted Gil in his life but he couldn't continuously bail him out.

A loud, dark chuckle crept from Guillotine when Tibbers went for the attack. There the hound stood, confident as the bear drew closer. His large powerful claws smacked against Akhtar’s shield. The sheer force of the blow caused the large bear to stumble back. Gil laughed. This was too perfect!
His original plan had been ruined but now he can watch Tibbers hack and slash at the barrier in a fruitless attempt to get to him. This alone amused the hellhound. He would wait for the bear to tire out. After that he would try to convince Akhtar to lower the barrier so he could finish the little shit off. Unfortunately, Guillotine’s new plan wouldn't be put into action. The bear seemed to have a change of heart once he saw his master fall to the floor, unconscious. What would happen now? A frown replaced the confident smile Gil once had on his face. The bear bounded over to the little girl and gently scooped her up. So the little toy didn't want to play anymore? This saddened the overly excited hellhound. The beast wished to spill blood, in this case stuffing. Tibbers gave him one last took before charging through the door.
When Gil turned to give chase he forgot about the the barrier. Like some bird running into a window Guillotine smacked, face first, right into Akhtar’s shield. “Augh! Damn it!” Gil barked, he staggered back and clutched his sensitive nose with his free hand. The simple knock on the head seemed to take the hound’s instinctual killing drive down a few notches. Akhtar’s anger also seemed to help snap the hound back to his senses. Guillotine looked up at Akhtar just as the wizard prince turned to him. Oh, Akhtar was pissed. The man didn't waist any time disciplining the hellhound. Gil looked down when Akh questioned him about his behavior. "I don't know what came over me." He lied in an attempt to soften the verbal blow Akhtar was putting on him. His little guilt trip didn't seem to be working. Gil sighed, he began to feel a bit worse than before.
Gil didn't have to ask Akhtar who he was calling when the man summoned his cellphone. Judging by the look on the Prince’s face he was fed up with him. Thus meaning he was calling Jesse to come pick him up. Guillotine grimaced and looked at the ground like the guilty canine that he was. “S-sorry.” He had one chance to redeem himself and he blew it! All for what, some child? Why couldn't he just stay out of trouble? The hound turned away from his alpha and said, “I-I’m going up to my room.” He was sure Akhtar would let him know when Jesse arrived. Besides, it looked as if Akhtar needed a little alone time. After releasing his phoenix he man looked exhausted. Gil didn't want to stick around and continue to be lectured by the human. So he decided to make himself scarce.
After a long trip up the stairs the hellhound managed to make it to the second floor, though he was out of breath by the time he made it to the last step. Slowly, he limped down the long hall and stopped at the last door on the left. This was the room Akhtar allowed him to stay in whenever he came over. The hound turned the knob and opened the door.
Ah, it was refreshing to see that the only thing that had changed in his room was that the bed was made. Other than that everything was right where he left it. It was almost as if the hound hadn't left at all. A large smile appeared onto Guillotine’s face as he made his way to the side of the bed. He could remember hiding something important inside the bed. Gil winced as he knelt down and began to rummage under the mattress. Once his hands felt the crinkly texture of a magazine he grabbed it and pulled out his prize. A large toothy grin could be seen on his face as the immature hellhound pulled a nude magazine from under his mattress. “Oh, hell yeah!” He exclaimed, happy to see that no one had taken it. If this didn't make him feel better about his current situation than nothing else would.
With a smirk he slowly got up and leaned his back against the bed. This was too perfect! Guillotine attempted to open the damn thing only to find that most of the pages were stuck together. Disappointed, Guillotine growled. “Ugh seriously, what the fuck!?” With his minute or two of happiness ruined the male rolled his eyes. He couldn't let this bother him, not after what had happened today. Still, the whole thing was a bit fucked up on his part. “What a waste.” He grumbled as he attempted to throw the damn thing into the trashcan that sat only a few feet from him. The magazine hit the rim before plopping onto the floor. “Could this day get any worse?” Guillotine ignored the magazine for a moment and turned his attention to the nightstand.
After digging through some old papers and trash Gil came across a fairly old picture, it was an image he recognized almost immediately. On further examination the picture consisted of a leopard sleeping peacefully in a tree. Guillotine could remember looking at this picture back when he was dating Akeelah. There were periods of time when they didn't see each other. Needless to say, during those times Gil missed her greatly. He could remember this picture making him feel a bit closer to her, even if she wasn't around. Gil never actually had a picture of the leopard shifter, so he thought a small paper cut out of a leopard worked just as well as an actual photo. An overwhelming feeling of sadness began to take over the hellhound. Shaky hands continued to cling to the photo. It were almost as if Gil were afraid to let it go. This little picture meant a lot to him Despite this not being an actual picture of Akeelah. Every leopard he’d seen, either on the television or in magazines, always reminded the hound of his mate.
Akhtar’s words slowly crept back into the hellhound’s skull. Why must you cause chaos? The beast looked away from the photo for a brief moment, he didn't quite know the answer to that. If the hound ever ran into his true creator he would be sure to ask the demon that very question. Gil knew he wasn't sent to earth to make friends, but what exactly was his purpose? Gil quickly shook the idea from his head. He didn't need to think about that now, not when Jesse was on his way to get him. The last thing he needed to be was an angst stricken hellhound.
Guillotine’s blood red eyes shifted back to their original color when he glanced back down at the leopard picture. Akhtar was right, he needed to change. If not for himself, he needed to do it for her. The beast would have to learn to keep his instinct under wraps. This was easier said than done. Guillotine didn't have much going for him when it came to self control. But maybe, just maybe, he could try. Granted, if things kept doing this way the PIDA would have no choice but to put him down. This was a do or die kind of situation. Guillotine grimace at the thought of dying. “I’m so fucked.” He grumbled as he pushed the picture of the leopard into his coat pocket.
It was a real shame the stress ball failed him in his time of need. The damn thing always helped with his temper, but instinct was an entirely different animal. He couldn't expect that small ball to help him when blood-lust reared it's ugly head. If the ball wasn't going to help then what was he supposed to do, stay inside all the time? Gil frowned. That appeared to be the only solution to this problem. He hated the idea of being locked up or kept inside for an extended period of time. Unfortunately, that appeared to be the only way he’d be able to keep his instinct under control. That or perhaps being put down was the only real solution to this problem? No, he couldn't think like that.
Not now, not ever.

((prepare for derpiness, sorry that this sounds like rambling I lost function of my brain and this is the result.))
Finally he was done!
Jesse smiled as he did a quick check on the footage he had gotten on his latest work. He had to admit he was getting the hang of managing two jobs all in one go. It was good that his work as a secret agent was flexible, it allowed him to set up his own work schedule to make time for his first and greatest love. But even then at the start it wasn't as easy trying to find time for his gaming career, secret agent work, and some relaxation. There were days that he had spent hours jumping from one game to the next just recording huge chunks so he could at the least have something to put on his channel on a daily basis. It required a few all nighters, but eventually he, managed to plan his time better to stop having to do that. Even with Gil here, yet another huge responsibility he had to shoulder by himself he still found time for the job he loved best. The newfound roomies had an agreement. Jesse told Guillotine in advance when he would be recording and for how long, and Gil promised to never bother him during that time. If he needed something and it was important he had to text him so he wouldn't be causing a serious interruption. It worked well, and thanks to that Jesse could get some work done.
With a yawn Jesse got up from his computer desk and checked the time. It was past eleven o'clock, it was a little past the time he was suppose to finish but that was fine. That time had been well spent. The two games he was working on he was really into. Child of Light was a beautifully made rpg game it was quite charming and witty with its rhyming dialogue. Yesterday too was was very amusing in its outrageousness. His fans loved those games as much as he did, and he was happy that he could share his experience with them. But that would have to wait for another day. He had enough footage to at least last for close to a week. All he had to do was edit it, that he would have to do tomorrow. For now he was going to go check up on Gil, get a snack, then go back to his room to relax for a little bit before bed. “Hey Gil, I'm done for the night.” he called as he headed towards the living room where the hellhound was usually sulking while he laid down on the couch. “Do you want anything from the kitchen while I'm-” Jesse stopped when he noticed that Guillotine wasn't on the couch. That was weird. Gil was usually there at this time of the night. “Gil?” Jesse headed towards the kitchen to see if the hound was looking for some food but found it empty. Jesse walked over to the bathroom only to find that room empty too.
This wasn't good. Where had Gil gone? The chances were that Gil wasn't in the house. Jesse's house wasn't so big that anyone could get lost in, especially Guillotine. The hound didn't move around too much thanks to his injuries. Unless he needed to use the bathroom or eat Gil rarely left the living room. If he wasn't here then that meant he was outside. “I swear to god I am going to have to chain him to the house one of these days.” the man mumbled as he headed back to his room. Something was off here and he knew it. Gil wasn't suppose to leave the house without at least informing where he was going and why. That had been part of their agreement since Jesse had taken the demonic hound into his home. Gil wasn't to be trusted alone for a variety of reasons. First with his still healing leg too much movement could put a strain on the leg and make his recovery difficult. But the most important reason was to prevent him from attacking someone. Gil wasn't the best at controlling his violent instincts and as such he was being heavily monitored. The PIDA was keeping close tabs on the beast since they allowed him to leave their prison, there was no way that he could escape them. But that tracker wouldn't stop him from hunting down innocent people. That was his job.
Jesse hurried over to his desk, grabbed his phone and his keys then headed towards the front door. This was not going to fly. Jesse had already warned Gil about not following the rules. He had to be strict on this one in particular. But first he had to find him. That much would be easy to do with his phone. His cell could pick up the signal from his tracker so Jesse could always hunt him down if he needed too. Closing the door behind him Jesse pulled out his cell and started going through the apps to find Gil's tracker when the phone rang. The man frowned when he saw the ID. Akhtar...guess he didn't need to use the tracker after all. “Hey Akhtar.” the man greeted the prince as he got into his car. “Let me guess, Gil's at your place isn't he? If he is don't worry, I am coming over to pick him up right now...he's not causing you any trouble is he?” He could only hope that Gil was at least not doing that much, but knowing Gil that wasn't the case. Gil still hadn't changed much even after everything he had gone through.

Akhtar was like a parent of a troubled teen. He was tired of Gil's excuses. He was almost ready to give up on the hellhound as a whole. He was constantly having to save the beast. It seemed as if Gil really didn't care. He was always sorry AFTER the chaos was started. Akhtar was quite the busy man and Gil knew this. Now Akhtar would be worried about the girl and her brother. He had no idea where they were. He was tired and he didn't want any extra stress but of course being the spoiled person he was didn't see it like that. In Gil's eyes if it wasn't about Gil it wasn't important. Akhtar couldn't take it much more. He was going to have to have a serious intervention with Gil.
He watched silently as Gil walked away with his tail essentially tucked between his legs. Although it wasn't visible Akhtar was sure if he were in his beast form it would have been. The wizard sighed as he listened to Jesse say he was on the way. He ended the call and sighed and slowly walked out of the foyer to sitting room where he lay on one of the plush couches. He was exhausted and it didn't seem like he would be getting any sleep any time soon. The prince knew he needed a vacation but he honestly couldn't find the time to squeeze one in. Once all of this was taken care of he would start planning one immediately.
((sorry this post is so short...I guess Akhtar is just waiting on Jesse to get there before he goes in on Gil once more.))

((Guilly gave me the go ahead to skip her turn, so I will just be posting this here for you Akh))
Jesse hung up the phone and sighed. It was just as he thought, Gil had snuck out of the house only to get himself into trouble again. Letting out a frustrated sigh Jesse slipped into his car and started the engine, muttering curses as he left his drive way and drove into the street. This was just like Gil, no matter what Jesse did, no matter how nice he was to him, or how stern he was Guillotine never listened. The hound always did whatever he wanted and then got himself into trouble. “God fucking damn it.” Jesse was furious. This wasn't the first time that Gil snuck off behind his back. The first time he had done so Guillotine had snuck out to a party that Spoon had dragged Jesse and TB to. Jesse was shocked to see the hellhound in the kitchen trying to drink despite the warnings not to mix alcohol while taking his meds. It had been a bad day, Jesse had just barely managed to drag Gil out of there without TB noticing him. In exchange the two people that his best friend had strictly forbade from ever getting near Gil had been exposed. For both their sakes Jesse kept the incident quiet. He had punished Gil for that but eventually he did forgive him, and even trusted Gil enough after he seemed well behaved to give him enough freedom to let him leave the house on his own.
That was a mistake. It was a big mistake on his part. God, how stupid was he? He should have known better than this. If you gave Guillotine an inch to move he would go a mile. Now the hellhound had gotten himself into trouble with possibly the only man that had ever had his back and now Jesse had to bail him out. “No, not this time. I am NOT going to let him get away with this this time.” he snarled. Jesse was tired of this crap, he wasn't going to bail Gil out again for getting into trouble again. What did Gil do anyway? That was the big question. Akhtar didn't tell him exactly what Gil had done, only that he had done something bad and he wanted him taken away. Jesse could tell that whatever it was it was bad, bad enough that the prince didn't even want to talk about it over the phone. As bad as Jesse felt for Akhtar he would have to get the young man to talk, he couldn't just go storming in there to yell at Guillotine without knowing what he is yelling at him for.
It took nearly twenty minutes for Jesse to pull into Akhtar's driveway. The man noticed the half melted gate but just shook his head. He hoped that it wasn't Guillotine's doing, but he couldn't put it past the hound with things as they are now. Jesse hurried over to the front door and turned the knob to see if it was open, it was. Jesse stepped inside the house and looked around. Damn, Jesse knew that Akhtar was rich and all but knowing that did not prepare him for what he was seeing now. No wonder Gil thought that his place was a dump when he had first got there, any place would look like a dump compared to this. “Akhtar?” Jesse called out, he walked further into the house looking for the younger man. “Akhtar, I'm here where are you?”

Akhtar lay on the couch slowly dozing waiting on Jesse to arrive. He was seriously drained. He had finally felt it was enough. Just as Jesse started to call out his name Akhtar's phoenix returned to the home. The blue flames engulfed the home and slowly surrounded Akhtar. His body reabsorbed the flames and he felt some energy returning to him. He stood as the flames died down. By then he was sure Jesse would have gotten spooked for a moment but would realize it was no big deal. I mean he was sure the PIDA agent was used to seeing magic by now.
Akhtar walked out of the dark room and went to meet Jesse who was leaving the foyer and walking his way. It was no doubt that they would run into one another. He spoke when he saw the man, "Jesse...Here I am. Thanks for coming. Um...before you start in on Gil I think you and I should have a talk. We can go in the kitchen. I have somethings I need to clear away." Akhtar's mind had wandered back to Annie. He hoped she was okay. He entered into the large gourmet kitchen and waved his hand in a lazy manner and it seemed as if the plates and glasses all had mind of their own. They started washing and drying themselves to return to their proper place.
Snapping his fingers the now empty kettle refilled itself and floated once more to the stove as the stove switched on and the water started heating itself. Turning to look at Jesse, Akhtar said, "Would you like water or tea? Or anything?" The magic Akhtar was using was simple and pointless he just liked being able to do it. To the human eye though they often times became so intrigued by it all. He couldn't imagine how they would react to the bigger things. Akhtar was tired but this conversation had to happen. He was worried about the hellhound. He wanted to see how things were going for him with PIDA. This was the most strict and stable thing Gil had to deal with in a long time.

Despite this being such a big house it was surprisingly empty Jesse had discovered when he entered the mansion. It was kind of surprising to see, despite the hour Jesse had always imagined that the place would be bustling with butlers and maids running around on errands, or at the very least some guards. But there was nothing, no servants, no guards, not even Gil. Well, it wasn't too surprising that he didn't see Gil standing by the doorway. If the hellhound had any brains at all he would have at least gone off to hide up in his room or something. It was more surprising not seeing Akhtar there waiting for him. God, he hoped things were okay with the wizard prince. He knew Akhtar was upset and he sounded a bit tired too, but what if he had gotten hurt and didn't tell him? No, he couldn't jump to the worst conclusion here. Gil was stupid and he was reckless, but he wouldn't hurt Akhtar would he? It seemed like a crazy idea, Gil and Akhtar were good friends. They had been through a lot together, so he couldn't imagine him doing something like that. Then again, Guillotine's anger was not something to be underestimated. Gil's anger was the very reason TB and Nova had found Akeelah at the hospital in the first place.
Amongst all of Gil's issues, his ignorance, arrogance, and stupidity, his anger was by far the biggest issue and the one problem Jesse wasn't so sure he could deal with. Guillotine had serious anger issues and when his anger mixed with his natural instincts he became dangerous. He couldn't really dismiss that possiblity. Akhtar could have been attacked. Still, it was hard to think of that happening, even if Gil lost control again Akhtar was a very powerful and talented wizard. There was no way that Akhtar would allow Gil to take a bite out of him without a fight. Where was the prince anyway? Jesse called out for Akhtar as he looked around the place but couldn't find him anywhere. Just when Jesse was about to explore further he heard something. Jesse turned to the strange noise and ducked in a panic as a giant blue flaming bird came hurtling towards him. “What the fuck was that?!!” agent or not Jesse was not prepared for a god damn phoenix nearly burning him alive. God damn it man he was too old for this kind of shit!
Gathering what little courage he had Jesse turned to face the creature but instead of the bird he came face to face with Akhtar. “Akh?” The man got back up on his feet and looked over to his friend. Thankfully the prince didn't look like he had been seriously hurt, but damn did he look tired. “There you are man, I was looking all over for you...damn, you don't look so good.” Jesse was about to tell the man to go sit down somewhere when the prince mentioned having a little talk about Gil. Jesse paused for a moment before giving him a quick nod. There was little use in telling the prince to go take a breather. The young man would probably take him up on the offer only after Gil was gone. If Jesse wanted to help he would have to take care of the hound, the sooner they had their talk the sooner he could do that. Jesse followed Akhtar to the kitchen. When Akhtar asked if he wanted anything to drink he was about to say no, not wanting to trouble the already exhausted looking man catering to him till he saw all the kitchen stuff moving on its own. “I....guess I will have some tea.” he replied awkwardly. The man sat down by the counter and watched Akhtar's magic at work. He couldn't help but look on in awe. Despite having more knowledge of the supernatural world around him it wasn't every day that the man experienced things like this. This was some straight up Harry Potter shit going on right before his eyes. The man had to shake himself back into focus. Okay Jesse, you aren't here to gawk, you have a job to do. “Before we get started I want to tell you I'm sorry about tonight.” Jesse began.
“I didn't give Gil permission to come here like this. I've been pretty clear with Gil about where he can go and that I need to be informed if he plans to go out, but as you can guess he just does whatever her pleases. I know it probably would have happened eventually, but I feel somewhat responsible for this, if I could have kept a better eye on him today maybe he wouldn't have snuck out and for that I am sorry.” Jesse meant every word he said. Yes Gil disobeyed him, that part was the hellhounds own fault and there was probably nothing Jesse could do to change that. But despite that he felt that he needed to take some share in the blame. It wasn't easy trying to juggle two jobs and looking after Guillotine on top of that, but still Gil was his responsibility every bad thing he did under his care was his fault as much as the hound. Maybe he wasn't fit for this kind of job, as hard as he tried Gil was just beyond his abilities. Even so he wasn't going to give up on him just yet. “I'll make sure Gil pays for what he's done, but before I can decide on an appropriate punishment I need to know just what he did to you. So tell me, what happened?”

Akhtar nodded as Jesse agreed to a cup of tea. He seemingly spoke into the empty air and said, "You heard the man." Two cups floated over to the kettle once it started to boil and they each were prepared their drink of choice. Akhtar quietly listened to Jesse try and explain himself and this situation with Gil. Akhtar didn't really expect Gil to listen to much of anyone. They have a very long history and Akhtar had worked very hard for their relationship to be where it was today. he was an avid supporter of Gil, he was like family to Akhtar when his own family was so far away. They were kind of a support system for one another.
It took a lot of patience on Akhtar's part but it seemed as if Gil just wasn't getting it. His time when he went on the run seems to have had some adverse effects on Gil. He looked at Jesse and chuckled almost rudely and shook his head as Jesse spoke. He gave a weak smile to show he wasn't being rude towards Jesse. He said, "Jesse...you have nothing to apologize for. Gil is always welcome here in my home. It is as much his home as it is mine. That isn't the issue I have with him. The person who caused damage to my home I already know who it is and I am going to get that fixed. What I want to discuss with you is Gil himself. His attitude." Akhtar knew Gil had good intentions but he didn't always deliver on it in the best way.
Akhtar sighed and continued to speak, "You can't honestly think you will ever be able to control Gil. He is a best that can't be tamed. It will take years before he will even give in to you. He is working with you because he HAS to..not because he WANTS to. My suggestion to you is give him some freedom. I think what is part of the problem. I know this is hard to believe but he is the type of person who works best when he has responsibilities to attend to. I don't know why it is like that but positions of power he tends to thrive in. I trusted him in my store for years before his breakdown. You all need to loosen up the leash. You know he is like a caged animal who has a lot of energy to burn off. I think he thought I was in danger tonight and that is part of what led us to this situation."
Akhtar walked over to the counter and sat on one of the high bar stools and looked at Jesse intently. He thought for a moment and said, "Even if we don't like it...Gil will be a father soon. I'm not sure how much of a father he will be but he will offspring in this world. I plan on helping taking care of them and I would hope Gil will be in their life but Jesse you all have to work with him. He is going to go back to his old ways if you all don't give him a break. I think you two are in a good place with one another where things can go good or bad. I really want things to continue on a path where things are good. You have made advances with him because normally he would have escaped already. What do you think the problem is?"

Hearing Akhtar telling him that there was no reason to apologize made Jesse feel a little better. It shouldn't but it did. Jesse really did feel responsible for Guillotine and his actions with good reason. He was the one in charge of taking care of the hellhound. While the agency wasn't likely to punish Jesse if Gil broke the rules Gil's life was in his hands. It was a lot of responsibility to have on his shoulders, he didn't like it one bit. He still had his doubts he could even manage something like this at all. Still he had made up his mind, no matter how hard things would be for him he would do all he could to reform Gil, even if it killed him. Thankfully from what Akhtar said Guillotine wasn't the one that damaged the house. Good, maybe he wouldn't need to take this to the agency after all. Though Jesse had no intentions of letting Gil go off the hook for breaking the rules, he wouldn't have to worry about he PIDA stepping up and punishing Gil in his steed. “I can help you with the troublemaker after I take Gil back home.” the man offered, taking a sip of his drink. “Before you say no to that, I promise I won't screw anything up. I won't even take this up with the agency. I'm gonna help out cause you are my friend, and you look too worn out tonight to be running up after other people tonight.” Jesse wasn't going to take no for an answer for that. He still owed Akhtar for his help on Gil's case and he wanted pay him back in some way. That would have to wait though, right now they had to talk about Gil.
The man sighed when Akhtar said he wanted to discuss Gil's attitude problem. “Tell me about it.” the man said. “It's been a challenge trying to deal with Gil and his..attitude. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would once I started to get on his good side, but that isn't saying much.” It had taken a lot of work on his side to befriend Guillotine. At the start Jesse knew that if he wanted Gil to listen to him at all he would need to get Gil on his side first, once he got the hang of that he found that Gil was not as bad of a person as he initially thought. It was the first step in the hound's overall reform and the only thing that Jesse had the easiest time with. The hardest part would be trying to control the hound. This was the one thing that Jesse was certain would never be possible, the agency could make as much demands for it as they pleased but Jesse knew his limits and to a degree he knew Gil's. He wasn't surprised in the least when Akhtar told him that much. Jesse drank his tea as he listened to Akhtar's words, thinking over what the younger man said carefully. In the end the man sighed. “I've figured as much.” the man admitted. “Honestly, I've been trying to give Gil some freedom. Don't take this the wrong way when I say this, but Gil is like a dog. And like all dogs he needs the freedom to run around and do what he wants to be healthy and happy. When he doesn't he acts up worse. I would give him more freedom, if I could but I can't. The main reason for that at the moment is because of his injuries. Gil's been given strict orders from the doctors to not put too much stress on his leg while in recovery. I take him out on walks as often as I can but we can only do so much with his leg how it is, and with me being as busy as I am. To try to compensate for this I tried to give him the freedom to go out on his own, but he's abused my trust in him for that.”
Jesse scratched the back of his head as he debated if he should tell the prince the last time he trusted Gil to that degree. Since they were on the subject there was little reason to hide anything with Akhtar. The wizard had an uncanny sense when someone was trying to hide something or lie to him, he might as well confess. “The last time I gave him permission to leave on his own I caught him trying to drink alcohol. I nearly lost it with him for that. The medication he is on for his leg is pretty strong. The doctors had increased his dosage and warned both of us that he was not suppose to drink while he is still taking them. But he tried to do so anyway. Even when I yelled at him and told him he could kill himself doing something so stupid he didn't get it at all. I had to punish him and restrict how far he can wander out of the house on his own since then just so he doesn't kill himself. When he recovers completely I plan to give him more freedom, but as things are now I'm stuck in this position of just trying to keep him alive to get to that point. You can see why I am being such an ass with him right now.”
The topic shifted into a subject that Jesse really hated to hear, Gil being a parent. The man knew that this would have to come up at some point and he would have to deal with it. Still that didn't stop his expression from turning grim when Akhtar brought it up. Honestly Jesse didn't know what he thought about it. He knew Gil really cared for Akeelah despite everything that happened. A part of Jesse felt sorry for the hound, maybe if he could help Gil become a better person things could all work out. But Jesse knew better than that, this wasn't going to be an easy thing to fix. “You are asking quite a lot on that front.” Jesse replied. “For Gil to become a real father he has to deal with two challenges. First he has to deal with Akeelah. I don't know what's going on in that chick's head but I am pretty sure she doesn't want to be around Gil, and you can't blame her for that. But the biggest problem isn't going to be her, its going to be TB. TB has made it clear he doesn't trust Gil at all, it will take a lot of convincing to make him risk that girl's life by letting Gil anywhere near her. I don't doubt that you are in a lot better a position to help her raise her kids than Nova and Spoon are, but he'd rather leave her with those idiots since Gil doesn't know where they live. He's even told me if push came to shove he'd move her in with his family if he feels those two won't be responsible enough for the task. He will do anything but let Gil around that girl and their kids.”
“As for what I think the problems here are...” Jesse thought that over for a moment, there was a lot of obstacles when it came to Gil's life that needed to be dealt with. Even Jesse wasn't sure what he could say right now about them. “Right now Gil needs to learn to pace himself. He gets so upset just having to use a cane to walk around, and that anger makes him act reckless with his body. He needs to accept right now he's too weak and vulnerable to much so he can finally focus on resting so he can recover for once. He also needs to realize I am not his enemy when I am being strict with him. I am only looking out for his well being since he won't. Once he's all healed up I will loosen up with him, that much I promise I will do...as for him being able to at least see his kids we can't let that happen without dealing with TB first. As things are now even if Gil changes he will never get to be a real father if TB keeps standing in the way. Even you might not be able to be a part of their lives much if we don't talk with TB. I can help you when it comes to talking with him, but I can't do it on my own.”
