Bandit stood atop the mast of his ship as it sank slowly he thought to himself (Why on earth did I let him have the helm in fact why did I bring him) the pirate couldn't even muster a smile as he conjured a bottle of rum into his open right hand he uncorked it and took a long drink from the bottle a rueful smile crossing his lips as the warm liquor ran down his throat looking at his clothes Bandit chuckled to himself "Well I could die in worse at least when I die I can take the rum with me."
Looking back at the now submerged ships deck he shrugged and watched as land slowly drifted into view a the ships mast drifting ever closer towards a small dock once close enough Bandit casually walked onto the dock and past the dock workers and even the mooring inspector hoping to find a decent tavern to buy himself a drink as he finished off his bottle of rum he turned around sighed this was not helping his mood at all "Will you hurry up I'm starting to get sober and that's not good I need booze lots of booze."
Bandit continued walking towards the smell for rum he had a nose for finding his only form of nutrition and peace.

Sitting at the bar drinking on an ice cold Carib James looked up to see a rather strange sight. He was in Trinidad and Tobago his parents' home island. He was visiting some of his family. Well the family that still wanted to have any sort of relationship with him. His father wasn't necessarily on that list. Well nor was his mother but that was more so because of her loyalty as a wife to him. James couldn't believe what was happening in front of him. One it was a sinking ship, two, it seemed as if the real life Jack Sparrow were walking along the docks.
James couldn't help but chuckled to himself as he head a few of the locals yell out in surprise at the display. The man seemed to have made a bottle of rum appear out of thin air. If many more found out he could do that he would instantly become a village celebrity. These people loved their rum and they loved to party. James looked over to the bartender and the two shared a laugh. It was obvious they were thinking the same thing. It was quite funny to James because it seemed that the ship seemed to go a bit lower with every step the pirate took away from it.
James had to wonder, Was this guy real? Pirates couldn't still exist could they? Well not in the regards of Jack Sparrow. This guy fit the bill..He didn't seemed to have had a bath in a few days as well. James didn't want to chance going near him in case he was a bit ripe...

Bandit walked upto the bar and shouted over to the barkeep to get him a bottle of his best rum as he placed four golden dabloons on the bar tapping his fingers on the smooth tropical wood as he looked from left to right before taking a long swig from his now emptying bottle of rum speaking in his usual drunken yet unusually smooth voice "Ahoy barkeep who be the gentleman o'er yonder and where in the blue blazes am I?" Bandit questioned the barkeep as he looked over in the direction of the other gentleman sat at the bar.
Shrugging his shoulders Bandit took the rum from the bartender and took a long satisfying drink from the bottle releasing a long and very much satisfied belch as a smile stretched across his face he leant against the bar as he stood up and made his way towards the other gentleman “Ahoy matey how be ye this fine aft?” Bandit sat himself down on a stool next to the gentleman as he introduced himself “I’m Bandit nice to make ye acquaintance.” Taking yet another deep drink from the bottle of rum finishing it as he placed it up on the bar, Looking at his empty hand Bandit conjured yet another a bottle and uncorked it taking a long deep draught of the sweet dark nectar, Though he was as drunk as a fisherman’s wife Bandit still looked, acted and sounded as though he was sober

James and the bartender exchanged looks with one another once more before chuckling. The bartender slid a bottle of Angostura rum down to him. He said simply to Bandit, "You are in Trinidad and Tobago. More specifically you're in San Fernando, Trinidad. That is my friend James...I have known his family a while. He and I used to hang out when he would come visit here in Trinidad over the summer breaks." The bartender went back to servicing a few of the men on the other side of the bar. They were fisherman who were out on a bit of a break from the mundane task of fishing in the ocean.
James observed the man who spoke rather strangely. He couldn't believe that the man was speaking like a pirate. People may say that the Trinidadian accent and or dialect may be strange as well so he wasn't one to judge...well he sounded like an American unless around family so he really didn't have that problem. Either way it was rather strange this man carrying on like a pirate. The fact that he was on vacation and spending time with family was stopping him from going into detective mode. The entire ship thing being the one major cause.
Looking the man over as he sat down next to him James couldn't help but chuckle. The man was quite the character to say the least. Not wanting to rude James responded, "I am James. It is nice to meet you as well. I am well this afternoon. Enjoying my vacation and the great weather here. What brings you to our wonderful island?"

"Vacation aye what's one o' those? An' afore you ask about my attire and my way o' speakin' as I can see it in your eyes that curiosity, I am a pirate well a pirate with out a ship thanks to some idiot bilge rat who ran agroun' of a particularly nasty bed of coral." Mumbling to himself incoherently Bandit looked around and behind himself as he sighed in frustration watching as the mast of his ship disappeared from view completely, shrugging it of as bad luck and ill management he waved for the barkeep to get him another bottle of rum as he placed another four dabloons on the bar.
Rocking back and forth on his Bandit looked at James and smiled offering him his hand in a friendly gesture though he was a pirate he did have manners when he wished to use them and only when his older brother wasn't around badgering him for drinking excessively which bothered him more than losing his ship, smiling as as he lit a fag and took a long deep drag he wondered what had become of his brother as he thought aloud (He's probably off chasing some poor soul it's always no quarter with that fool.)
Tuning his attention back to James he smiled as he offered the man a fag from the open packet now resting on the bar as he waited for the barkeep to get him his drink the longer he waited the more sober he felt as another bottle appeared in his hands and he emptied it in one shot.

Shaking the man's hand James had to admit he was a bit lost on what the man was saying. He found it rather hard for him to fully comprehend the man. He said to the boisterous stranger, "A vacation is a break from your everyday life...Most people tend to travel to different places during their vacation. I happen to come and visit my family here." Holding his hand up and shaking his head no to the offer of the cigarette James politely declined. "No thank you. I am not a fan of smoking."
Looking to the now confessed pirate James said, "So you say you're a pirate? Well you know it has been years since anyone ha seen a pirate in the sense of a pirate like yourself...Where did you come from? How did you end up here? Is there a clan of pirates out there or something...I'm sorry I know it seems as if I am babbling but this is just too weird for sense." The last phrase was rather strange coming from James as he was used to being around supernatural beings all of the time. How could something so "regular" as a pirate would cause him so much confusion.

Smiling to himself happily Bandit held out his hand watched as the salt water rushed into and formed into three perfect spheres as he started juggling it singing to himself " Keelhaul that filthy landlubber send him down to the depths below make that bastard walk the plank with a bottle of rum and a yo ho ho." focusing on the orbs as he sang the song his memories coming into view as the orbs spun in the air.
Letting a tear fall down his face as the memories of the man who raised come into view after the memory had faded he let the orbs hit the floor and listened for the splash as he took a deep drink of his rum emptying the bottle and calling for another "Bar wench more rum ere immediately." Looking at James Bandit smiled and let out a low laugh as he apologized the barkeep as she brought him another bottle after paying for it he waved and bid James farewell as he headed towards the market.
Eventually reaching the market the aged yet very young looking pirate stood bewildered and amazed at how much this island had produced and made in his long time of travelling the oceans and the seas of the world he was truly amazed it made him smile everywhere he looked as he walked through the bustling and market there were new smells and sights for him to take in the most amazing one that caught his eye was a beautiful rapier made of the finest folded steel after walking upto the man selling it he asked how much for the man to part ways with it "How much would it cost for ye to part ways with that rapier?" Bandit was gob smacked when he heard the man's response even after showing him seven gold pieces he was shocked at the fact he was being turned away "We dun't sell to pirates now go away."
Upset at this Bandit turned around and left the market heading back tot he dock where he was most comfortable by the open sea.

Seeing the reaction from Bandit James sat in awe. He never thought a pirate would be so....well...for lack of a better word, sensitive. He watched the man go away but didn't feel comfortable with him leaving so abruptly. James went after the man calling his name. The man ended up in the market. He watched as the man was rudely waved off by one of the merchants. James couldn't help but laugh. The locals at times seemed not to have filters and spoke to anyone however they felt at that moment. Seeing Bandit become saddened against James couldn't help but feel his pain.
Walking up to the merchant James purchased one of the rapiers and turned to find where Bandit had gone. After asking a few people he found he had returned to the docks. James quickly returned to the docks and saw Bandit. Walking up to the pirate without saying anything James sat down next to the man and simply held out the rapier. He said simply, "Hey...looks like you could use a friend..."

Bandit looked at James and then at the rapier a smile dancing on his lips as he took it thanking James as he got up the water warping and wrapping itself around the rapiers blade as he balanced it on his index finger before juggling it from finger to finger back and forth finding the perfect balancing point everything had to be perfect when it came to sword play, Bandit would accept nothing less which is why he spent hour upon hour practising when he got a new weapon, turning to James as he found the perfect point of balance he let the water fall from the blade as he sat the rapier sitting on finger not even moving.
"I thankyou from the bottom of my heart James you are truly a good man and I would be proud to call you friend." Holding out his hand to James Bandit dug in his pockets and pulled out a harmonica which he offered to James as a gift to solidify their friendship. "I know it isn't anything fancy like this rapier but I hope that this old harmonica means to you what this rapier means to me an everlasting friendship."

Looking at Bandit juggle the rapier James couldn't help but be amused as the pirate juggled the rapier. It was good to see his spirits were lifted with the rather small purchase. James couldn't help but smile. It was almost a childlike quality about him. It caused James to think of his two daughters. They were often times pleased with the smallest things in life. They would be happy with a purchase of sweets for them. That was the great thing about innocence. One could be pleased so easily over something so seemingly small and mundane.
As Bandit extended the harmonica to James the young detective couldn't help but laugh. He wasn't expecting a gift in return. Who was he to turn down a small token of appreciation though "Um...thanks. I wouldn't mind being your friend either. I'm sure with time we probably can be the best of friends....Listen my family is having a lime later on....Perhaps you would want to come and enjoy some food and music...We will of course have your favorite item...Rum..."
**Lime=a bbq or a get together

"A lime and Rum hmm sounds like it could be a whole lot of fun I'm there plus food and music is always a bonus when enjoying Rum with others makes it go down a treat." Bandit smiled as he accepted James invitation getting to his feet he sheathed the new Rapier on his right so as to match his left where another rapier sat awaiting the arrival of a new companion.
"Shall we go then my friend I am sure your family and friends are eagerly waiting for you."
