Kaden sighed, walking down the street. It was a happy sigh. He looked from shop to shop. Arcades seemed interesting, these video game thnigs were said to increase hand eye coordination. In any case, he had just left a movie theatre, after seeing a movie called The Avengers.
It had been something of a sensory overload. The things they could do with special effects these days were just....mind numbingly strange. That was when he heard it.
"COME FIGHT BARE KNUCKLE DAVE AND WIN FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS! TAKE HIM DOWN AND WIN THE PRIZE!"
Now, money was one of Kaden's favorite things. It was one of the essential things anyone needed to survive in this world. And it bought a lot of cool things. Like swords. Yeah. Okay, so Kaden didn't know what five hundred would buy in today's market, but at least he could get some good steak or something. Maybe some premium bacon. Maybe some cigars. THE POSSIBILITIES WERE ENDLESS!
He walked further down the street and he saw it. A boxing ring with some kind of curtain covering a box in one corner. A huge box. Probably hiding this "Bare Knuckle Dave". Kaden took a running jump, taking him up into the ring, landing about a foot from the announcer.
"Got yourself a challenger."
The large man smiled, removing his shirt, so the white button down wouldn't get blood on it or anything. His baggy jeans flapped in a slight breeze.
"Give us your name, Sir!"
"Kaden."
He cracked his knuckles. He smelled something...animal...from inside the box. Something that he couldn't quite put his finger on due to the number of people smoking at this impromptu event.
" BARE KNUCKLE DAVE WILL BE FIGHTING....KADEN! KADEN HERE LOOKS LIKE HE'S FOUGHT BEARS BEFORE, SO WHO KNOWS WHAT'LL HAPPEN!"
Bears? Kaden's eyes widened in realization. BEAR Knuckle Dave, not BARE Knuckle Dave! The announcer pulled the curtain off of the box, and what was inside but a huge freakin' grizzly bear.
"This should be interesting."
Popping his neck, as well, Kaden stepped up to the middle of the ring, as the announcer pried the door open on what was a cage, nto a box, and high tailed it out of the ring. The crowd gasped, then started chanting "Dave" over and over again. It seemed they were cheering for the bear, and the bear was charging right at Kaden.
Kaden took an orthodox boxing stance, and dodged a claw swipe from the bear as he moved left, jabbing at the Bear's jaw...and connecting. The bear must have actually been a giant wuss, because it went down like a bitch, and stayed down.
"Damned thing has a glass jaw..."
The announcer then sprung the real plan for entertainment here.
"TEN THOUSAND TO ANYONE WHO CAN TAKE DOWN THIS MAN, KADEN!"
"Oh. This just got more interesting..."

Catherine grumbled to herself as she walked down the side walk. Today and been another long rough day at the PIDA. She kept losing her cool over the smallest of things, and even managed to snap a broom in half while doing so. Chances are it was because of the full moon. She had been in a pissy mood because of it. The month had gone by so fast, almost like a blur. During those few weeks she had a chance to be almost human. But now things would go downhill. The full moon was tomorrow, so she would take that day off to prepare for the change. Luckily, the folks down at the PIDA understood her problem. She was a werewolf after all. It was still rather embarrassing having to tell your boss that you can’t come in because of a stupid moon. Well, the dangerous change only happened once a month, suppose she didn’t have a reason to complain. With a sigh, Catherine continued her trek home when she suddenly stopped. There was a crowd of people standing around a ring. The woman rolled her eyes. Ah, humans they were such strange creatures. The female lifted her head and took in a long deep sniff. She then realized some people in the crowd weren’t human at all. Curiosity quickly struck the woman. Maybe should check this place out? With a smile she walked into the crowd just as the announcer began to speak. There in the ring stood an older man, his hair was as white as snow. This man was tall, really tall! Soon enough the announcer spoke again, stating this man’s name and that he was going to fight a ‘Bare Knuckle Dave’. The female crossed her arms in front of her as she watched the great unveiling of the creatures. Strangely enough this thing was an actual bear! “A bear?” Catherine then scoffed to herself. This human didn’t stand a chance against a bear. A light smirk appeared onto her lovely face. “I give this guy ten seconds before he’s down.” She cooed to the guy next to her. Cat wasn’t above seeing someone get killed. After all, this man’s stupidity would lead him to his own demise (or so she thought). The female then cocked her head to the side. This human, he didn’t seem scared at all! If anything he seemed more excited. Interesting She thought, perhaps he really wasn’t human? Then again she could be wrong. Cat was snapped back to reality when the chanting started. She didn’t blame everyone for chanting for the bear. This human was as good as dead. Cat watched as the bear lunged. The human never faltered once. He dodged the bear’s deadly claws before going in for the finishing blow. Catherine could hear the bones crack as the man’s fists connected. In a matter of seconds the large fluffy beast was on the ground suffering from a broken jaw. The woman stood there, absolutely dumbfounded by what she just saw. This was very interesting to say the least. Soon enough they called for another challenger. Catherine was about to leave when the announcer mentioned the prize money. That made her stop dead in her tracks. The full moon was tomorrow, and Cat was in her prime! Power was something werewolves had, and she was no exception. Why not take the challenge? She could buy some nice shoes and a steak with that much money. Hell, she could buy a whole store, plush a life time supply of steak! Best of all she would get respect for kicking this man’s butt in a fight. That was enough initiative to get the girl going. Without hesitating the woman walked forward and climbed into the ring. A couple of bystanders tried to hold her back, but she merely growled at them and pushed them away. She then pulled herself into the ring. If Catherine where human she wouldn’t have thought twice about turning and walking away. However, she was a wolf in need of some bloody action! “I’ll challenge this bastard.” Catherine replied as she glanced down at the bear, she then turned to Kaden. A large sharp toothed smirk had graced her lovely face. “You better not go easy on me because I’m a girl or else I’ll kick your ass twice as hard!”

"Hey, announcer."
"It seems the defender has a few words for me!"
"Once I'm done kicking her ass, I'm gonna beat the ten grand outta you."
The announcer gulped, and two large humanoids helped him pull Bear Knuckle Dave out of the ring. Kaden's feline eyes narrowed, the gold orbs shining as the sun began to set. He smirked.
"...aren't you the Janitor? I'm not going to go easy on you. I'm an equal opportunity asskicker. No hard feelings, right?"
He inhaled sharply through his nose. Yep, that was it. She wasn't human. Smelled...wolfish. Werewolfish? The question was what kind. Werewolves were rather common antagonists back when he worked for the vatican. Formative werewolves were slightly easier to deal with when it wasn't a full moon, and that wasn't until tomorrow.
So hopefully she was a formative. Though even if she wasn't, this still wouldn't be too hard. He laughed, as the announcer rang the bell. He cracked his knuckles, and took his stance, waiting for her to move first. Werewolves were often impulsive. They liked to fight aggressively, and make the first move.
That would likely be this one's downfall.
He did the stereotypical "Come at me, bro" hand sign, motioning for her to make the first move.
Wonder what I can do with ten thousand in this day and age's market...

Perhaps she was a fool to challenge this man. He was obviously built for fighting, while she wasn’t. Kaden looked more like a beast. Surly he would wipe the floor with her. But would Cat care? No, she was far too proud to give in so easily. Ah well, if she got a black eye she wouldn’t be going into work tomorrow anyway. The female then placed her hands on her hips and rolled her hazel eyes. “Don’t think so highly of yourself…boy.” She teased as Kaden made his comment to the announcer.
When Kaden spoke of her janitor job the female cocked an eye brow. “Hmm? Y-yes I am...” Either this man was a stalker or he worked for the PIDA too. The female took a step closer to Kaden and looked him in the eye. He did look a little familiar. She couldn't have seen those crazy eyes anywhere else. There where so many people going in and out of the PIDA she never really had time to stop and say hello. The female then smirked as Kaden asked for no hard feelings. He then explained that he was an equal opportunity asskicker. The female chuckled a bit. “No, none at all.” She replied as she took a step back and readied herself. “I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
Finally the fight was underway! Kaden motioned for the woman to come. “Letting me attack first? What a gentleman.” The woman teased. She closed her eyes and took in a long deep breath. Now was the time to let her wolfish instincts take over. Cat wasn’t at work anymore, she was in the ring! Catherine opened her eyes as he powerful legs pushed her forward. Memories of her and her brother sparing rushed through her head. He’d taught her everything she knew about fighting. And now was the time to put her knowledge to the test. Cat’s hazel eyes locked onto Kaden’s arms. She needed to keep an eye on those hands of his. Clearly, that was the most dangerous part on this beast of a man’s body. As Cat closed in on Kaden her body began to change. Catherine was a formative werewolf meaning she could change into a normal wolf at will. (she turns into a were during the full moon) If it wasn’t for the prize money she wouldn’t have pushed her true form out like this. She needed the money!
Suddenly, a large female grey wolf appeared in Catherine’s place. The wolf continued to charge forward before attempting to slide under the large man. She then opened her jaws and aimed her bite towards Kaden’s calf. Her fangs could easily cut through the flesh if she made contact. Every beast had an Achilles heel, and she wanted to expose his. If she could get this man onto the ground it would be over! (or so she thought)

Well, Kaden had to stifle a laugh, as his estimation of her skill was completed. The consummate professional, letting her have the first move was a strategy in and of itself. When she rushed him, the act alone opened her up to several dozen attacks, but he decided to let her get to him before he would move.
And his hunch had been right. She was going for his legs, trying to get him down on the ground. Which would have been a smart move, had she not move between his legs to do it. He would have stepped to the side and kicked her or something. But this? This was much better.
He dropped, and would wrap his legs around the wolf's neck as she charged underneath him. He would squeeze with his legs as he delivered a punishing double fisted hammer blow to the wolf's side, squeezing his legs together around her neck to cut off her airway. He wasn't aiming to kill, just incapacitate.
He would cut off her airflow just enough to let her know she was about to get choked out if she put up a fight any further. As far as he was concerned, she would have nowhere to go.
((OOC: Sorry it's so short. My fight posts usually are.))

Did Catherine really think she could beat this guy? No, but she decided to give it a try anyway. If it wasn’t for the money she would have left by now. The female wouldn’t have given this strange man the time of day if it wasn’t for that. Money drove the girl to fight! She had trained at the PIDA after hours, but that wouldn’t be enough. This white haired man looked more like a beast. She came to the conclusion that he probably fought like one too. Cat was oblivious to the fact that she was dealing with a class-A monster hunter. If she had known then maybe she wouldn’t have picked a fight with the man. The woman broke the first rule of fighting. Never let your guard down. Cat was so distracted about hitting her mark that she had allowed herself to slide into an attack. Oh, If her brother where here to see this, he would have slapped the woman. Instincts pushed the female forward and clouded her mind to the real danger she was about to face. Just before she got the chance to bite down the white haired man closed his legs around her neck. Now this was one attack she didn’t see coming. Catherine’s yellow eyes widened as her air way began to close off. The beast began to lip and flail around in an attempt to loosen this man’s vice-like grip. you bastard! she thought just as Kaden rammed his fists into her side. This knocked the breath out of her. Man, this was bad! The female’s throat burned, and her side began to throb with pain. In an attempt to escape the hold Cat lifted her back legs and began to scratch at the man. Her claws could do just as much damage as her fangs. She aimed her kicks at Kaden’s stomach, or anywhere really. The wolf was sure she could hit some sort of fleshy area with those sharp back claws of hers. At this point in time Cat didn’t care if she tore this man apart, she wanted to be free!

Kaden was prepared for her back legs, at the very least. He grabbed them each in one hand, or at least tried to, since his arms were free. He then transferred his grip so he was holding both of her back legs in one hand. Loosening his legs grip so she could get some oxygen and not die, he still kept a firm grip on her throat.
"Seems like you're caught between a rock and a hard place, eh?"
She had still managed to cut his abdomen lightly, but not too badly. It wouldn't leave another scar, but it would bleed for a few minutes. Annoying, but not life threatening. But now he was mildly perturbed.
"Give up now, and I'll buy you a steak or something. his is getting boring."
He sounded utterly deadpan. Like nothing was going through his head, but instead he was contemplating how rusty he had gotten. It was shameful, really. Despite training his body for years in that cell, all he had to show for it was extra muscle. Nothing could replace actual experience. And he hadn't fought an actual monster in seventy five years.
"Hell, I don't need all the prize money."

The female began to choke and hack. Her legs where quickly caught and held down. What was she going to do now? Was this it? Was she really going down this easily?! Just as she began to think it was over the man loosened his grip on her neck. What was he doing!? Surprised, Catherine’s moon yellow eyes peered up at her opponent. Was he being nice, or mocking her? The female really couldn’t tell, but she didn’t like it. His words only fanned the flames of her anger. “D-don’t pity me!” Cat managed to snarl. She bared his razor sharp fangs and snapped at the air. The large wolf then began to struggle against Kaden’s grip. Man, this human was strong. Catherine wished to continue the fight; however the reckless creature had already sentenced her fate. “D-damn it…” she cursed to herself. It wasn’t even five minutes in and she had already lost. The girl didn’t wish to admit defeat. But if she didn’t what would become of her? Would this man break her jaw like he had done with the bear?
Catherine soon got her answer. Kaden mentioned that he was growing board of the fight and if Cat surrendered he would buy her a steak. The wolf hid her fangs as she thought about it. Well, it would be useless to go on. Kaden was the obvious victor in this fight. It saddened the girl a bit, but what else could she do? Oh, if her brother could see her now, he would be so disappointed. She was giving up so easily, and all for what, a steak!? With a loud sigh Catherine’s wolfish body began to shift back into her human form. she then lay there in submission. “Fine, I give. But, I'm buying the most expensive steak I can find.” Cat spoke with a snort. She teased the man a bit before realizing she was still held between his legs. Her cheeks then flushed red with embarrassment. Oh, boy. “Mind releasing me? T-this looks a bit awkward…”

"Heh, if you think this is awkward..."
Kaden released her, and glared at the announcer, who hastily handed him a huge stack of cash, then ran like hell. He was now ten thousand dollars richer. He handed the wolf-woman a stack of bills, splitting the winnings unfairly, but hell, she had impressed him by not flipping the fuck out and killing herself in his grip, like the last werewolf he fought.
He had given her a thousand dollars, cash. And he was also about to do something slightly insane, but he was a nearly seven foot tall monster hunter from nearly a hundred years ago, so what the hell, right?
"Are you doing anything later? I meant it when I said I'd buy you a steak."
Her human form, at least, was rather cute. While he wasn't exactly a pretty face, he was handsome in a gruff way. And while he had just beaten the living hell out of her, there was nothing personal behind it. He hadn't even hurt her very bad, apparently. Hell, it was all even in self defense.
Yes, he was asking her out. Yes, it was crazy. I already went over that. Get over it.

The wolf slowly got up and brushed herself off. Some fight, she wasn’t even a challenge to this man. Hell, far from it! She was nothing more than an annoying fly to him. Luckily she would be walking away with all of her body parts intact. She had a little bruise on her side from when he hit her but that didn’t seem to faze the werewolf. Whatever happened during the fight was behind her now. She held no hard feelings towards this man. Besides, Cat had gotten worse marks in the past. If anything the Were was good at taking hits.
Apart of the woman felt horrible for diving into a fight she clearly couldn’t win. Not only had she lost, but she surrendered too. Ah, well at least she would get a steak out of it, right? Catherine’s hazel eyes glanced over to Kaden as the man approached the announcer. She could recall him saying something about beating the sh*t out of the man. Oh she had to see this. An amused smirk appeared onto her face as she watched the announcer hand Kaden his money before taking off. Could Cat really blame him for running? Pity, she wanted to see the human get the ten grand beat out of him. That would have been very amusing in the least.
Catherine was quickly brought back to reality as Kaden approached her. He then did something she didn’t expect. The man handed her a thousand dollars. The smaller woman eyes widened. This wasn’t ten grand but hell it was better than just a steak. With this money she could buy herself a hundred steaks, and still have some left over for a new pair of house slippers! Catherine gave the beast-man a grateful smile. “T-thanks…” He replied not really sure what to say to this man. This beast of a man wasn’t as bad as she thought. He clearly didn’t have the mindset of a feral monster, but he sure had the body of one.
This man had a strange beastly charm too him. It was a rather strange, but the woman ignored it. That is until he asked her out. The female had turned to leave when the man said it. She immediately stopped in her track. Did he really just say that? The woman’s head snapped around to look at him. So, he was still going to buy her steak still? “Did you really just ask me out?” The woman asked in a teasing tone. Had Cat’s ears deceived her? It didn’t seem so, this man was serious. As ridiculous as this seemed Catherine went along with it. “Um, s-sure.” The woman said with a confident smile. “It will have to be tonight, or the day after tomorrow.” Cat then laughed a bit as she tried to put her cash into her small wallet. Wow the damn thing wouldn’t close. She shrugged and stuffed the full wallet into her pocket. “ I really don’t think you want to deal with me tomorrow. It’s the full moon and I can get a little…frisky.” She replied as she slowly walked up to the beast man. “Kaden was it?” Cat smiled and extended a delicate hand towards him. “My name is Catherine, but you can call me Cat.” Was she really going to be nice to this man, And all for what, A little steak? Perhaps it was more than that.
((hahah, I did not see that coming!))
