Kalkrin: Godf*cking dammit. His brothers had successfully pissed him off, AGAIN. Then again it didn't take much to piss of the boy. He usually came out here to get his mind off things, since it was a large field, and everything tended to look the same, so it was really easy to get lost. Kalkrin felt a raindrop on the back of his head, and looked up to see clouds forming, and another raindrop hit him in the eye. SON OF A B*TCH. He rubbed his eyes then looked around, seeing a girl. Maybe she was out here for the same reasons as Kalkrin. Oh well, not like it mattered to him.

Veronica: The small girl was out for a couple of reasons. One, her grandmother was out so she would be all alone at home, and two, she liked just coming out here and relaxing. The fields were so wide and empty, they were a great getaway. Unfortunately for her, the weather had decided to take a sudden shift and rain began to come down. Just as Ronnie looked up, thunder boomed in the distance. Letting out a little squeak, the girl frantically turned to look around. Somewhere safe, somewhere safe... Maybe someone safe? Her eyes landed on a boy a little distance away. "H-hello! Please, can you help me?" she called out, her voice catching as more thunder sounded.

Kalkrin: The boy narrowed his eyes. This girl was... Speaking to him? Well alright then. People just usually glared at Kal then walked on. He froze. She wanted his help? Uh... Kalkrin stood up, towering over the tall grass of the field and walked toward this chick, also much taller than her. "Um... What do you need help for? You look perfectly fine," leave it to Kalkrin to be a dick. Of course he hadn't meant to sound like an ass, he just... Did. Just then a crack of thunder made the boy jump. Well sh*t, n*gga.

Veronica: The girl's fright didn't lessen as the boy made his way closer. Sure, he was cute and all, but he was way taller than she was. It was intimidating, to say the least. "I-I can't stay out here," she whimpered out. She curled in a little on herself as the thunder became more frequent, and lightning started to make an appearance. A particularly loud boom made the girl yelp and suddenly wrap her arms around the stranger. Well, that escalated quickly. "I'm s-sorry, just please, can you make it stop?" Her voice was quiet and broken. It was a little sad.

Kalkrin: Tried to understand this chick. About to reprimand her for stuttering so much, the girl was suddenly around him, and he fell silent before he even began speaking. "Uh.... UHHH..." Kalkrin's face grew red, and he looked around, awkwardly placing an arm around the girl, and rubbing her back. "Y-you mean the thunder? I... I can't control it... Um..." Kalkrin was obviously not used to affection, especially this kind of affection from a complete stranger. "Uh... Who the heck are you, though?" Still as douchey as ever, the man inadvertently played with her hair, leaving his left hand in his pocket still.

Veronica: The girl trembled. What if the storm got right on top of them? She would have a breakdown right in front of this kid. It's not like she wasn't already, though... Ronnie nodded against the boy's chest. She didn't answer him, she just squeezed her eyes shut. The warmth of this boy was comforting, as well as his arm and the way he played with her hair. Wait, they were complete strangers. You didn't just do this with a stranger. Ronnie lifted her head a little, her blue eyes brimming with tears as she looked up to the boy. "My name is Veronica... But you can call me whatever you want..."

Kalkrin: The boy rubbed his temples with his left thumb and middle finger, and closed his eyes. What the hell was even happening right now? He was half-hugging a complete stranger. Oh, now he knew her name, that made them BEST FRIENDS right?! No. What the hell! Why was Kalkrin just letting it happen, too? Was it because she was cute? Or because she just seemed so helpless? Kalkrin never showed his sensitive side to anyone, and here this girl was, getting him to hug her like a teddy bear. He sighed and looked down, into her eyes, then looked away quickly. "I'm Kalkrin. Why are you hugging me?" The boy sad in half irritation and half... Something more... Caring. The rain went from a sprinkle to a light drizzle, but Kal still didn't care. He liked the rain, and storms.

Veronica: Ronnie blinked as Kalkrin, as he had introduced himself as, asked her why she was hugging him. Should she tell him the real reason why or just back off...? Another crack of thunder made the girl cling tighter. Yeah, she wasn't letting go anytime soon. "The storm..." she started, her voice dying down a little as the rain started to come down harder. She swallowed and tried again. "The storm scares me... Immensely." With a shaky sigh, Ronnie gently nuzzled her face more into Kal's chest, trying her best to block it all out as she closed her eyes again.

Kalkrin: He waited patiently for the girl to speak. Wait... Patiently? Yeah, okay. Kalkrin nodded. "The storm..." he repeated. And then sighed. "Scares you. Of course." Kalkrin still had no freaking clue what to do, so he wrapped his second arm around the girl when he felt her cling tighter. Suddenly, she nuzzled him. His face grew bright red but thankfully she couldn't see it. He sighed again, then spoke. "You're okay, it's just a loud noise. I yell louder than this everyday." He looked around for someplace to get out of the rain, and only found a few trees here and there. Yeah no, not standing under those in a lightning storm. Groaning to himself in his head, Kalkrin took off his jacket and put it around the girl as she clung to him.

Veronica: Something was extremely comforting about the way Kalkrin's arms felt around her body. They were warm and strong, the perfect refuge from an incoming storm. Then again, this was probably just her inner romantic getting all worked up. Ronnie shook her head a little at the boy's comment. "You're not scary like a storm..." she mumbled into his shirt. Whether he heard her or not was beyond her knowledge. The girl flinched a little as Kalkrin's arms left her, and she wondered if she had done something wrong, if she should back up and apologize and try to leave... But then something just as warm as the young man's arms landed on her back. Ronnie opened her eyes a crack and glanced to her side. His jacket...? The girl looked up quickly, her face first disbelieving before she gave him a little smile. "Thank you." She stood there, smiling at Kalkrin and holding onto him tightly before she suddenly realized something. She facepalmed mentally at her lack of sooner realization. "You're going to get all wet now... Are you sure this is ok?" she asked, concern lacing in her blue gaze.

Kalkrin: The boy looked down at Veronica. It was a nice name, and it seemed fitting for a nice girl. He stood up straight. "I am TOO scary...!" he didn't know if he was teasing or not, so he let a single sound of amusement out. "I don't care if I get wet. I like the rain, Veri. I mean Vero- Veron- GAH!" Kalkrin mentally scorned himself. Leave it to him to be so weird. Readjusting his arms he held her a little tighter, his bright aqua eyes looking everywhere but her eyes.

Veronica: Ronnie couldn't help but lift up an eyebrow as Kalkrin said he was "too" scary. Now that he was here, and his height was actually turning out to be more of a comfort factor than one of intimidation, she couldn't see anything scary about him. A scary person wouldn't be doing this for her. Rather than replying, the girl let Kalkrin live in his glorified statement for a moment. She didn't want to upset him. A small giggle made its way past her lips as the boy stumbled over her name. Was that a nickname she had just heard? "It's okay, you can call me Veri if you want to. Nobody else does, I kinda like it..." she said quietly. She noticed how Kalkrin's eyes looked everywhere but at her own. She wondered if he didn't like the way she looked, and so she turned her eyes down and rested her head against his chest again. Hopefully the storm would end soon, for his sake. She didn't want to force him to do something he didn't want to do.

Kalkrin: This boy had definite problems with eye contact. He didn't know why, he just... Never made eye contact with anyone. Well, he made eye contact with Gabe and Cal but only when he was yelling... There was no explanation, really. "I didn't mean to call you V-" he paused. Why even bother. "It's... It's a cute nickname, I guess. It's kinda fitting..." Kalkrin didn't know where he was going with that. Why wouldn't this storm let up? He would try to take the girl someplace else but that would involve letting her go, which he- PSH I MEAN SHE- didn't want, obviously. At this rate he'd end up carrying her someplace else. Oh God.

Veronica: A light blush flitted over the girl's cheeks as Kalkrin said the nickname was fitting. Had he meant that...? For once, Ronnie was thankful that her face was hidden. The blush was only getting worse the more she thought about it. "O-oh, well, thank you... Do you mind if I call you Kal?" The girl couldn't help it, she had to look up as she asked. She hoped she could catch his eyes, if only for a second. They were such a pretty color... "I-I mean... Only if that's okay with you." Ronnie had to blink frequently, considering how raindrops kept getting into her eyes. To some it might look like she was fluttering her lashes at the boy, and to others it could look like she had some freak eye problem. Really though, it was just the rain... Right? The girl shuddered as more thunder boomed. How she hated storms.

Kalkrin: He snorted. Of all the names people called him, no one ever thought to call him Kal. Kalkitty, yes. KK, yes. Rinny, unfortunately. Kal? No. Logic. His family had none of it. "That's fine I guess. No one calls me Kal," he said. He looked down slowly as he felt her gaze on him. "Um... Are you alright?" he inquired. Her lashes were fluttering a lot. Probably because of the rain. He looked around again. "Why are you even out here?"
