Akhtar's Meet & Greet

Note: This is a quick fire thread so there is no word count, one liners are fine. You also may post with more than one character all on one account, simply to make it easier when responding to people. Okay...let the fun begin.

Akhtar: The prince arrived to the event hall early to make sure everything was ready and in place for the mixer he decided to throw. He knew he ran in a more elite circle than some of his friends that he had recently met and he felt this would give many who would normally not even cross paths a chance to really sit and get to know one another and form meaningful relationships/friendships with others.

Meena: She brushed her hair as she looked in the mirror. She wanted to make sure her makeup was perfect. Tonight was Akhtar's mixer and she was so excited. She always enjoyed a good party and Akhtar was known for having GREAT parties.

Alessandra: Standing in her large walk-in closet she looked around trying to find something to wear. She had so many clothes it was really hard to decide. **Hmmmmmmmm, what is Vic going to wear?** She thought to herself. She didn't feel like walking to the other side of the room where his closet was to figure it out.

James: After finishing the last line of his report he logged out of his computer for the night and stood up. Alessandra, his former employer had invited him out to a mixer her friend, and his new found friend, Akhtar was holding tonight. He was nervous about going because there would be such a mix of people. The elite mixing with the commoners? There was sure to be problems....He decided to go home and change and freshen up a bit before he went. His on again off again boyfriend was out of town so he was actually rather happy about that. He wouldn't have to explain him to anyone....

Esmek: Why the hell was he here. Oh, that's right, because Lil loved meeting people and mixers and such. Lil was really pretty much the only reason Es ever did anything. She'd somehow managed to get him to dress up too, if one could call a black high collared jackets and dress pants "dressed up". Oh well, that just meant meeting more people to mind control. He wondered how many of them would gape at his sewn mouth.

Kellin: F*CK YEAH B*TCHES, PARTAAAAAY~ This guy was throwing an awesome mixer, and Kellin was rather psyched about it. He dressed up and walked out the door, ready for some fun.

Narissa: Hmph, I hope Gabe will try to be happy. He's always so down and it makes me so sad! Narissa thought to herself. Maybe they could actually have some furrun tonight! Narissa wondered if Esmek would be there... Purrobably, since Lil was going. Oh how she hated this family rivalry thing. So purrposterous!

Fog: The girl liked meeting new people, she was so used to being alone. It had been awhile since she'd had any friends... If one could call kindergarten playdates a friendship.

Sadie: The brunette honestly had no clue why she was here. Like, seriously. Did she get an invitation? Not necessarily. Did she know anybody? No. That was why. But word travels quickly, and being the troublemaker she is, Sadie just couldn't help but to come. The girl looked up as people started to fill in the area. Looks like it was time to start mingling...

Gabriel: A low sigh came out of the young man's mouth. He hated people. He hated get-togethers. This night was going to be horribly long, he could already tell. Gabe ran his hand down his face quickly after walking out the front door of his house, already wanting to go back in and lock himself in his room.

Isaac: Excitement bubbled through Isaac's veins. Why? Because he was going to a party. And what was at the party? Alcohol. Of course. The young man smiled lightly to himself as he headed to the mixer he somehow managed to get invited to. Maybe he would know some people there?

Nathaniel: The fiendishly handsome man adjusted the collar of his white button up shirt, and smiled at himself in the window of the building before walking in. Nate loved a good party. It was a great time to search for a potential job and build a good reputation. Plus there were usually always a few attractive people in the bunch to flirt with. Yes, people. Nate swung both ways, because life was always more interesting when you had options. Although, he leaned toward guys because it was usually less drama, and they understood his needs. Speaking of which, he wondered if his rather attractive new friend Gabriel would make an appearance tonight.

Rosalind: She ran her fingers through her hair after returning to her human form. She looked around the corner of the alley cautiously. Walking out onto the sidewalk, she looked at the back of her hand and then at the address of the building in front of her. This is the place Roz chewed on her lip, hoping that tonight wouldn't be too awkward. She could really use something to lift her out of her current depression. I hope they have plenty of drinks.

Aroura: She sighed at her reflection and pulled her curly hair in front of her shoulders. If anyone else had asked me, I probably would've turned it down. Aroura wasn't exactly the party animal, but lately she had felt cramped in her apartment, so she decided to indulge her new friend, and go the mixer. Maybe meeting new people wouldn't be so bad. Her thoughts flew to the blonde agent she had met in the bar as she locked the door behind her.

Jesse:Jesse was pumped for this party. He just loved to party! He was the kind of guy that loved to have little get together with friends. Most of them were small but were still fun. But big parties were fun, and fancy parties like this were even better. The man smiled at his other companions. "Man this is going to be great isn't?" This night was going to be a great night and he was sure that he wouldn't be the only one to have a great time.

Totalbiscuit: Johnathan Blaine returned Jesse's grin with one of his own. While the cynical brit wasn't bouncing around in excitement like his other companions he too was excited about this mixer. It wasn't every day that he got invited to events like this, and he planned to enjoy himself with his friends, and maybe make some more friends along the way. "Yes I am sure it will." the man replied. "But did we have to bring him with us?" TB turned a wary eye over at the third member of their trio. He had nothing against their other friend but the younger man was prong to causing trouble wherever he went, and TB had no intentions of babysitting him tonight.

Spoon: Nick was practically skipping with joy as he followed Jesse and TB to the big party that they had all been invited to. He was so excited for this evening. Spoon loved parties! But this wasn't just some ordinary party, it was a fancy party. Spoon had never been to a fancy party before. He was so excited he wore his best suit. It would've looked really sharp on him if he didn't insist on wearing his mask along with it. Some things just never changed.

The masked man swung the doors open, threw his arms up in the air and screamed "LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!" making Jesse laugh his ass off and TB to facepalm.

Akhtar: Turning to look who caused all of the commotion Akhtar saw Nick or "Spoon" as he preferred to be called. Akhtar honestly wished Meena would get a better hand on her boyfriend. He still smiled warmly at the group of men who came in who were becoming part of his fold and his "bros." He walked over to greet his "favorites" TB and Jesse.

Meena: She couldn't help but laugh as Nick through the doors open but this wasn't the place that she needed to be embarrassed. Sure it was a mixer with a mixed crowd but embarrassing was embarrassing either way. She quickly walked over to him saying in a hushed tone, "Stop it! Stop it Nick! You can't behave like that tonight."

Alessandra: She heard the commotion and simply roled her eyes. She wouldn't entertain "Spoon" tonight. Tonight was far too important. She could meet some more of the movers and shakers of the city. Vic wasn't here to control her either...Flirt away she would...it was after all...her specialty.

James:Seeing everything that was taking place and still being used to it all James remained in his little space. He would trust that Alessandra wouldn't simply throw him to the wolves but it seemed like she had her own plans in mind. Perhaps he would meet some decent people tonight?

Esmek: The man walked to the table, grabbing a beverage. Finding a straw, the man carefully placed it between his stitched lips, taking a sip of ice water. Esmek looked to a random person and willed them to dump their drink over the closest person. Chuckling, it was rather a hilarious sight.

Kellin: Walking into the vicinity, the man strutted in like he owned the place. Looking around, he moved to Alessandra. "So, who are you going to whore it up with tonight, Sandy?" he smirked. She was literally the funnest person in the world to tease.

Narissa: The girl bounced in happily and found her brother. Hugging him tightly, the girl smiled. "Hi, purrother!" she giggled, the sundress she was wearing flowing up for a moment, revealing the missing chunk of flesh in her lower thigh.

Alierah: She looked around. So many people, so many people this girl could kill, so many she could woo, and so many she could just... Talk to. Alierah singled out a girl. She was brunette and looked rather confused. Thinking for a moment, Alierah realized this had to be Sadie from the bar. "Fancy meeting you here. DeDe, right? Short for Sadie." Alierah smiled. The nickname was a joke, of course, but who knows. Maybe it would end up sticking.

[Gabriel Cole]

Sadie: The young woman ripped her gaze away from the loud, suited-up man that just yelled, "LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!" when somebody started talking to her. Sadie looked at the woman. Did she honestly just call her DeDe? Sade blinked and was about to tell the chick off when she decided to just shrug it off for now. Ah, **** it. "You could say that. Though I prefer Sade or Sadie. DeDe is a bit too... 'Little girl' for me, if you know what I mean." The brunette smirked a little in a mischievous, hidden meaning as she looked at the other woman. "You're Ali, aren't you?"

Gabriel: The young man let out a quiet grunt as his sister practically flung herself into his arms and gripped him in a circle of death. AKA a hug. He hadn't even been in the room five minutes, how the hell did she find him so fast? "Hey, Nari. What's up?" he asked, his dead gaze looking down to his sister's face. She was always so full of life and happiness... He envied her for it.

Isaac: Isaac chuckled to himself as he carried a beer in his hand. He walked around the room, floating from one group to the other, mixing and chatting it up for a couple moments before pushing off to find another source of entertainment. He could tell the people didn't really like it when he butted in anyways. Isaac was just passing by this guy standing all alone (James) when this urge suddenly overcame him and made him end up spilling his drink all over the poor man. Ah, what the crap? Where did that come from? He had been in perfect control just a second earlier... "Oh, I'm so sorry, man! Here, let me help you clean that up," Isaac said, reaching over to grab some napkins as his face flushed in embarrassment.

Nathaniel: The Saccularius smiled crookedly as his blue eyes swept around the room and spotted Gabriel a bit to the back of the room with his sister Narissa. This is going to be quite the party. Nate walked over to the bar space and waited for the attractive blonde women, apparently named Sadie, to notice him so he could order a drink.

Rosalind: Roz pushed her black hair behind her ear and made a beeline for the bar, already regretting coming here. However, on her way to make an order, some blonde guy spilled a black man's drink and she slipped on the beer that had hit the floor. Tonight was going to be a disaster.

Aroura: Lord help me. The redhead pulled down her red blouse so it rested just below the belt loops in her black jeans, and double checked to make sure her cross was tucked safely away. Cerulean eye scanned the growing crowd until they land on their target. Aro smiled hesitantly and waved at Meena before clipping over to her friend in her red high heels.

Jesse: Jesse tried to regain his composure after Spoon’s random outburst. He didn’t care what his younger british friend said, he was glad that they brought Spoon along. Besides, it hadn’t necessarily been his idea to bring their masked friend. Apparently his girlfriend had told him about the party and he had been invited anyway. It just made sense to offer him a lift. “I think the party has started already buddy.” He breathed. Jesse looked around the room when he spotted Akhtar and Meena heading towards them. “Hey guys.” He smiled at his wizard friend. “How’s it been going?”

Totalbiscuit: John shook his head at Spoon’s shameful display. God sometimes he forgot just how weird his co-workers could be, especially Spoon. Sadly this was about as tame as the youngest in their group would get. He would have to keep an eye on Spoon this evening to keep him out of trouble. He was already hyper now and he relished to think about what would happen as the night progressed. God forbid that Spoon found any alcohol. Wait…was there going to be alcohol here? TB was pulled out of his thoughts when Akhtar came to greet them. He smiled at the sight of his new friend. “Thanks for inviting us.” He said. “It’s always nice to take a little break from work.”

Spoon: It never hurt to have a big entrance at an event like this, and Spoon made sure that he and his friends had a big entrance. After all this party was suppose to be gathering so they could meet new people. How could you meet new people if you didn’t get their attention? You couldn’t. He knew that TB didn’t understand that, maybe Jesse did, but the man as laid back as he was didn’t have enough confidence to follow it through. So naturally it was up to him to lead his team to victory. His efforts bad off almost instantly for the moment that he caught everyone’s attention two figures came up to greet them. It was Akhtar and…

“MEENA!” the man shouted with glee as he ran towards her and swept her up in a great big hug. He was glad to see her, and he was sure that she felt the same way too. But as soon as he greeted her she told him to behave himself. “What do you mean by that honey?” he asked, he was only trying to help to liven the place up. Not too much of course, he wasn’t going to go too crazy and do a strip tease for his girl on the tables for people’s amusement so she had nothing to worry about. “Don’t worry Meena I won’t cause any trouble! Oh! Why don’t I get you a drink and we can talk, and then maybe dance!...I promise I won’t take off my pants like the last time.”

Akhtar: Akhtar smiled brightly at his two friends. "Oh it was nothing...you guys are always welcomed to my events. What has been going on on with you guys?" Akhtar really didn't want to bring up Gil. This wasn't the right place to talk about him at the moment.

Meena:**laughed as she was spun around by Nick.** She told him,"Okay you have to put me down and stop. Tonight is very important for Akhtar. You have to behave..." As she was speaking to him she spotted Aro waving at her and walking over. She smiled to her friend and said, "Hi Aro! I'm so glad you could come..I have to introduce you to Alessandra in a bit."

Alessandra: She turned around to be greeted by Kellin. Her instant reaction was to roll her eyes. She could not stand the guy. He was always mean to her for no reason. She looked to him and said, "Oh you left your lap dog at home tonight? She no want to come?"Kellin would know she was talking about Corinna. Alessandra took much joy in making the girl squirm.

James: Standing and taking everything that was going on James was shocked out of his thoughts when a drink was spilled all over him. He yelled out "What the fu*k is wrong with you?!?! Can you literally not hold your drinks?!" James took the napkins and started wiping at his shirt and pants trying to soak up the drink.
