Alessandra Ricardo....the heiress of the family business sat behind her desk that housed her computer as she sat thinking. She was regarded as a beautiful supermodel and she had an exciting life. She had a loving boyfriend and her career was booming. Sure being a model was a front for the true nature of her family business but it kept the government off her back. She was attempting to expand the actual family business and New Orlands was the perfect place. It was full of thriving humans and packed tot he brim it seemed with supernaturals. She used this to her advantage and was establishing herself quite nicely when she met another supernatural who seemed to have the same idea in mind as herself. She was eager to establish the partnership but now she was angry that she did. Vic, her boyfriend, knew nothing of the nature of what she was doing and she wanted to keep it that way.

Koji was really f**king up. The Brazilian nymph could barely control her anger. She couldn't believe he was attempting to double cross her. Did he honestly think she was just a pretty face? She hoped that wasn't the case at all...He may have been over 400 but she was over 2,000.She had done it all, she had seen it ALL. There was really no way to get over on her. She was known as ruthless when it came to business matters. This would be no different. One thing that her dear brother and father both taught her, may her brother rest in peace, was that she was to trust no one. She should always have someone watching the watcher.

This lesson proved valuable to all things in life for her. She had to always make sure that all of her "T's" were crossed and all of her "I's" dotted. She had to watch any and everyone who worked for her. She was glad for that instinct as well...She would be up sh*t's creek if she hadn't. Koji had went and formed an alliance with a rival group who they originally wanted to buy out and take over their area. The group wasn't budging and Alessandra felt they would have to take out all of them out in order to accomplish this but it seemed that Koji saw differently. He had aligned himself with them...What a disgrace she thought. There was so much potential between them now all of that was gone.

One of her lieutenants was following Koji around as instructed by Aless and he complied at least two boxes full of evidence against the man. Alessandra drummed her finger nails against her desk. They were painted blood red as usual and they contrasted so starkly against her ice blue eyes. The long nails clicked away as she tried to calm herself. She crossed her legs and just looked at the closed door that led to her office. The door opened suddenly and her assistant walked in and said, "Desculpe-me, Senhora ... seu convidado chegou" Alessandra nodded her head signaling for them to lead Koji into her office. The walk from the door to her desk was quite a long one at that. She glared at the door as the figure slowly came towards it. She wanted him to know she was not happy at ALL...

Kojireru tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for the elevator to take him o the top floor where he was supposed to meet Alessandra. It was unusual for the demon to be so openly frustrated like this but for the moment he didn’t care. No one could see him, so he didn’t have to hide his annoyance under a mask of charm to keep anyone from suspecting that something was wrong. He wouldn’t be so annoyed right now if that damn Nymph hadn’t called him in at such an inconvenient time. Koji may not look it but he was a busy man. Things had picked up for him since he started working with Aless… or more accurately working against her. It was a bit of a shame that he had to stab the pretty woman in the back, truth be told he had some respect for her. She was strong, ambitious, and confident just like he was. But Koji had his goal and she was getting in the way of it. She had to be taken down. It didn’t matter how much he liked a person, if they were in the way he would take them down himself.

For the moment though Koji couldn’t take Alessandra down on his own. The woman wasn’t stronger than he was (they were probably equal in power at this point), but her financial power and allies made her a force to be reckoned with. He couldn’t take Alessandra out as smoothly as he would like to without back up. Fortunately for him Aless had as many enemies in the business world as she did friends. It didn’t take him long to find someone with the potential to take her down that he could manipulate. It was so easy to control others once you learned how to do it, and for someone who had learned to manipulate others for hundreds of years it was absurdly easy to twist Aless’s enemies so they could do his dirty work for him. If all went well Alessandra would be dead, and he would take control of everything she owned. After that he could finish off his little helpers, unless they were willing to completely surrender to him first. He couldn’t wait for his plan to go into play. But now wasn’t the time, there was still some more work that needed to be done before he could make his move.

Instead of getting any work done though he had to attend this stupid meeting. How absurd was that? It was enough to put a damper on his mood. But he had to play politics, he had to keep his cool and see what the damn woman wanted so he could go back to his own business as quickly as possible. Finally the elevator reached its destination and Koji stepped out and walked down the path to Aless’s office, putting on that calm and cool mask to hide his growing frustrations. What did the nymph want with him anyway? There was something about this surprise meeting that made him a little worried as well as annoyed. It seemed a little too inconvenient. Aless was a smart woman, there was always a chance that she figured out what he was up to. He was ready for that in case everything blew up in his face. Koji didn’t like to take chances when he knew what he was up against.

Soon Koji made it to the woman’s office and slipped inside. From the look that she was giving him he knew that he was in trouble. But like always he played it cool. “Good evening beautiful…though you don’t seem to be having such a pleasant one.” He greeted her, giving her a wicked little grin as he walked over to her desk. “What’s the matter?”

Alessandra not even in the mood for pleasantries with the male said curtly in her thick Brazilian accent, "Cut the shit Koji...You have been caught! WHO DO YOU THINK I AM?!?!? DID YOU HONESTLY THINK YOU COULD DOUBLE CROSS ME?" Asking her last question harshly she picked up one of the folders out of the boxes on her desk and through the full folder at Koji. She had more than enough proof to have his head if she wanted. She had decided to spare him though. His flirtations and kind words couldn't help him out of this though. The partnership was over before it could fully flourish. Although Alessandra was extremely wealthy she was not greedy. She was all about sharing the wealth and she was willing to do this with Koji. However he had other plans in mind.

She stood from the desk swiftly and looked at him intently as she paced behind the desk. She wanted to reach over and rip his head from his shoulders completely. She looked at him and said, "WHY!?! Why did you try and betray me? I did nothing but be completely honest with you...You however go behind my back and try to double cross me! El Cartel wouldn't even still be around if it wasn't for me saving their asses...Now YOU want to go and side with them and try and take ME out. HOW DARE YOU?!?! You have all of ten minutes to explain yourself before I have your head and tongue on a platter and having it for dinner...I can already taste your blood... "

The nymph was NO JOKE! She meant every word she said to him. She couldn't believe that he would dare attempt to outsmart her. Her instincts told her to not trust him to even begin with but she pushed those doubts aside. She knew they could be great together and she wanted to build from that. They were both dangerously smart so if they put their heads together there was no telling what they could accomplish. All of that was no more now. Koji had ruined the trust they had.

She knew with both of their looks they could take over a many hearts and never have to worry about being caught with blood on THEIR hands. Alessandra always planned things out carefully. Koji obviously wasn't the same. No matter how many enemies she formed she knew that she could easily handle them. Did these idiots forget that her family controlled the ENTIRE black market in Brazil? That was a lot of power to hold...a lot of respect to command...She was a woman no less? A beautiful woman...she was definitely dangerous. She figured now she would have to show Koji that.

The doors to her office opened and two large men walked in and stood menacingly at the doorway. Koji was in a serious bind....

Calm, cool, and collected. These were the traits that Koji could be when he was under stressful situations. Centuries living in the underworld as a ruler had taught him how to keep his calm and put on a mask in the face of danger. Back amongst his race there were two ways to gain power, you could either show off your muscles, or you could be manipulative. While Koji was the strongest amongst his people, even as a half-breed, he preferred manipulation. It was far easier to control others with their emotions rather than sheer physical strength. Being physically stronger meant nothing, it rarely stopped others from challenging you, and once enough people were brave enough to stand up to you, you were doomed to failure. But if you learned how to manipulate you could easily get more people to fight in your place, you could gain spies to watch over your enemies and stop them before they could get to you. Koji was a master in this art; he knew how to control those around him to do his bidding. But he had been too cocky here. It was easier to manipulate his kind back at home where he already had some influence, but it was harder to do so here, and with a woman that could play the game just as well as he could.

His cockiness with this one would prove to be his downfall. While he had tried to keep things under control, lightly teasing her while remaining calm Alessandria was having none of it. She didn’t even bother to try and work around to the point that she was making, she just screamed at him. Koji raised a brow, looking mildly surprised at her accusations. But inside his mind the dream eater was starting to get angry. Had she really found out about his scheme? Fuck! This wasn’t supposed to happen. He thought he was doing a pretty good at covering his tracks. Someone must have fucked up, and badly. Whoever it was would pay dearly for this. Koji had been working too hard on this to have to change plans now. There was no way that he could back out of the predicament that he was in. He had taken a big risk to do what he did, and for everything to fall apart now…

No, maybe he could salvage this somehow, he just needed to work his magic and he could recover from this. He picked up the thick file that she had thrown in his face and scanned through it. With each little piece of evidence that he saw the more frustrated he became. It was too late to try and charm his way out of this one wasn’t it? It would’ve been easy to brush this off as his secret plan to take over their enemy on her behalf, but there was too much there that contradicted that. Besides, Aless was far too clever to fall for such a simple trick. This was it. It was over. He had failed and now he was going to pay the price for it.

The demon threw the file back on the desk just as the lackey’s came in. Koji glanced over at the two armed men and laughed. “Alright sweetheart, you caught me.” He said, still smiling at Alessandria. “As you already know, I have been plotting against you for months. I was working with your rivals to take you down…and you want to know why?” Kojireru leaned in a little closer to the fuming woman. “Because I want your power. I have bigger plans than you could ever dream of. While you are content with taking over the black market, I am not. As nice as what you have is it isn’t good enough for me. If it was possible at all for me to go about taking what you have another way I would’ve done so, but I know that you won’t surrender that easily or take a back seat to my plans so I had little choice….but maybe we can work this mess out.” The man backed off, all humor left his face as he spoke now.

“If you agree to work for me I will give you full control of the black market when I complete my goal. I can bring all of those that oppose you under your control, and the fools that refuse eliminated. You can take this offer if you wish, or reject it. If you don’t take this deal I will leave this place, and when I do I will help those that want you out of the picture and destroy you. I rather not go with plan B. I think it’s a waste to kill such a smart and pretty woman such as yourself, don’t you agree?”

Alessandra the always well planned vixen looked at Koji with cold eyes. They were emotionless and she wasn't in the mood for his games. However he had admitted that he wanted what Aless already had. She smirked at this. She was a woman so she always had to work harder to prove herself to the men in her world. She had to prove that she wasn't just a pretty face. She was capable of manipulating and controlling entire situations if she wanted to. Her pull and power threatened many. For that reason alone many wanted her out of the picture. She was too much of a risk.

She hadn't even been in New Orlands very long and her presence was already felt. She had made an alliance and in the end taken over the largest black market jewel and drug ring in the city. Well now was the part where she and Koji came together to try and take over the other ring that was prevalent in the city. Instead he turned against her and was trying to take her out. She made moves alone and never had partnerships with anyone for this very reason. Now she was in a situation where she had to make the decision on what to do with Koji's life. Would she put a bounty on his head? Would she let him feel as if he were in control? She wasn't sure.

She stood up and paced back and forth behind her desk as she listened to him talk. She wasn't really interested in what he was saying. He had already admitted that he wanted everything Alessandra had and that was all she needed to hear. He was jealous...just like all of the other men in the business. Tiring of him talking Alessandra turned to look at him and said,"Koji...you know I am in a good mood today so I am not going to rip your tongue out. You are a vile piece of sh*t what loyalty do you know? Do you not understand the depth of the sh*t you have just stepped in? You do know that in this world that once a rat you're always a rat?!? You realize that those IDIOTS who you claim to have an alliance with would have taken you out AFTER you all got rid of me...They would have seen that you had no sense of loyalty and you would be a risk to them in the end and you would be killed!"

Alessandra huffed as she looked at him. There were two expensive vases sitting on each edge of her desk. Her anger seethed and it seemed to empty out of her pours. Suddenly the cases shattered loudly. It was as if there were bombs placed inside of them. The shattered pieces laid on the floor. She looked intently at Koji. "I am going to do you favor...." She continued pacing and looking at him as her hand rested on her hip. "I'm not giving you anything...This is how this will work out...no negotiations no manipulating...I am a bit weary of this world...I have been doing this for centuries now..."She sighed and sat down in her chair and crossed her legs.

She leaned forward in her chair and looked directly at Koji in his eyes. "I am ready to take a break...I need time to live my life a bit..be with my boyfriend..My modeling career is affording me even more money so I will not even miss anything...Of course I will still make a profit...You will get 70 percent and I 30 percent of all future transactions that will happen. You will take over all of my territory here in the United States, that includes my territory here in New Orlands, New York, Miami, Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles. You will have everyone who reports to me at my beck and call at your command. You will have free reign to do whatever you feel is necessary. I give you all control...I however am going to warn you...try and double cross me and that will be the end of your life...Is that understood?"

Aless looked at him and said, "Your first order of business should be annihilating El Cartel..."
