So far the day was nice. It wasn't too hot, it was fairly moderate actually. Fall had finally settled in, but it hadn't grown too chilly as of yet. It was about mid-morning, and the sun was out for the most part, though it would constantly get blotted out by stubborn little puffs of clouds the lolled on by. Other than that, it was quite pleasant out, pretty even. The leaves were starting to change colors now, which was Rose's favorite time of fall.
She was dressed in her normal attire; dark jeans, black converse shoes, a band tee shirt containing the infamous bat winged skull logo of Avenged Sevenfold slapped on the front, her trademark dark red and gray striped tunic jacket that draped down to about her thighs. Rose's hair wasn't in it's usual fashion, and hadn't been for a few months. The red in her bangs finally faded, and she didn't have her bangs covering her right eye now, which of course the pink, fleshy scar could now be seen clearly beneath her eye that stretched up to her temple. One of these days she would get her hair colored again, maybe. Though people would find that unacceptable for her to be doing her hair in such ridiculous fashion, as well as dressing up the way she does. She was a "new mother" after all, so she should be dressing like one. That bored Rose, and besides, her kids aren't going to know how the hell a normal mom is supposed to dress. They were only like, five months old now for Christ's sake.
Oh yeah, speaking of kids. Yes, Rose was out and about with the twins, because she felt the two needed some fresh air. She pushed around the children in a double twin stroller with her son Felkin's seat being above the seat of her daughter Annabelle. Rose was quite content, happy even, because the other day Weylyn had returned to her after well over four months of absence. She had been upset with him at first, but, to her own self irritation, had been wooed by the devilishly charming shadow-cat. Rose now had a new home, a very, very large new home that Wey had picked out for her and the kids. She still had to move the last bit of her things from the apartment that needed to be taken to the house. Rose also needed to make sure the twins would be settled in nicely in their new rooms, and hope that the move doesn't disrupt them in the slightest. Rose had yet to tell Guillotine of her leaving yet, and knew he would probably be upset at that fact, pissed even now that Weylyn had sidled back into the picture. What she had also failed to tell the Hell Hound was the fact that Annabelle was his daughter, but, even if she did tell him, nothing would change. Wey knew of this fact though, but had still vowed to treat her like his actual daughter, which relieved Rose. Still, would it hurt to tell the Hound? Maybe, maybe not.
Rose smiled as she heard Felkin give out a little squeak, a happy squeak from the sound of it. She peered her head around the stroller seat to peek at her son, who apparently had squeaked at the site of a pigeon on the side of the park pathway. Rose then looked down to Anna, she too studying the pigeon with a curious look in her odd colored eyes. The twins still had their baby blues, but, they were starting to have variation in their eyes, odd variations at that. Each of them had one eye that had a hint of Rose's crimson color, minus the little purple flecks she also had, while the other eye of the children appeared to be showing the signs of a greenish color. It was still too early to tell however.
She began pushing the stroller once more, and she could hear the quiet coos and words of gibberish emitting from the twins. She grinned again. It was like they were having a full blown conversation in a language only they understood. The two chattered on in content, sometimes Anna would get particularly excited out of random and let out a loud little squeak and she would flail her chubby little arms. Felkin would respond to those little out bursts by slapping a hand on the little tray in front of him and letting out a giggle. Rose still just grinned away in amusement, even going as far as laughing along with her kids. After a few minutes, Rose pulled off to a bench underneath a tree to rest for a minute or two. She rotated the stroller so the twins faced Rose as she sat. Rose sat back, watching her kids continue to do what they were doing; chatting in their made up language and watch as they turned their heads to stare at other moving objects. On days like these, the twins were quite fun to be around. She smiled softly and sat back in the bench, letting out a little sigh of content.

He could tell things where changing. The sights, the sounds, the smells, everything! It was a daunting sight to see the world suddenly shift around him like a bad dream. The summer air didn’t last very long in the eyes of the hell hound, for winter was quickly approaching. Guillotine never liked this time of year, the time where the leaves where beginning to change to that light red and orange color. It was a sign that winter was coming. If there was anything Guillotine absolutely loathed more than men it would be winter. Unlike most humans Guillotine didn’t see this season as joyful holiday but as a freezer-like deathtrap. Perhaps this year wouldn’t be so bad. He had his mate staying with him. On those terribly cold nights she would keep him warm, well that was one thing to look forward to.
Upon stepping out of his apartment Guillotine could feel the cool air chill his tall frame to its very core. It had yet to grow too terribly cold but yet the hell hound felt as if it where freezing outside. To keep himself warm the male wore two layers of clothing, however the chill in the air still got to him. The male was very sensitive when it came to the cold. Unfortunately it was his most daunting weakness. If only he where some sort of bear that hibernated during these fowl months, then maybe he would find a way to manage the stress of it all. Not only was the cold a very large inconvenience but also a threat to his life as well. If Guillotine where to get to cold his body, much like a reptile, would shut down and eventually he would die. This was one of the major downfalls of being a hell hound. There was something to look forward to however, luckily humans where able to creature heaters, as well as heat lamps and fleece blankets. Suppose humans weren’t as dumb as he thought?
Guillotine slipped his cold hands into his pockets before trotted out into the forested area that lay next to the apartment complex. The hell hound grumbled to himself as he trotted along. If it wasn’t for his hunger he would still be in bed. The food he had at his apartment was his roommate’s stuff, human food that he had no urge to eat. Gil was a very picky eater. As he marched forward he found that his stomach began to make a loud grumbling noise that could be compared to that of a growling grizzly bear. During this time of year Gil always seemed to eat more. This could prove to be a problem, especially when he and his mate where attempting to cover up his fowl eating habits. Guillotine merely rolled his eyes and pressed on. He was heading towards the park where there was always a good selection of quarry. Humans of all shapes and sizes seemed to flock to that place as if it where some sort of watering hole. Guillotine even found himself going there sometimes just to relax. This visit would be different however, now he was traveling there to obtain a meal. Perhaps he could go for a heavy set human this time. Usually he would go for the skinny type, but they never seemed to have any meat on their bones, Ah yes Plump humans where the ones had more of that delicious meat on them. The savory kind of flesh that he could chew on all day Gil’s mouth had begun to water just thinking about it. Pale hands sipped out of their pockets and pulled the dark blue jacket tighter around their host’s body. Guillotine hastily made his retreat from the forest and into the city streets of which had taking him quite a while to reach. There was only a limited amount of short cuts he knew of.
Deep green eyes looked about the town area, studying the sights as his sensitive nose went to work on picking up different smells. His nose couldn’t pick up on too much, just the usual scent of concrete and the fowl aroma of car exhaust. With a crinkle of his nose the male trotted on. As he walked down the side walk he couldn’t help but to stop every so often to sniff at the side of buildings. No one had yet to mark over his territory. Upon doing this of course he would get dirty looks of which he would merely roll his eyes and give the scorners the bird. After that little trip the hound finally made his way to the park. Once he entered through the front gate an array of different smells hit him like a sledge hammer. The scents mixed into his nose like a strange cocktail; however one aroma in particular seemed to stand out from the rest. Rose.
Guillotine involuntarily cocked his head to the side as he stood there by the park gate. “It couldn’t be?” He cooed to himself. Could his dear sweet Rose really be here? Gil lifted his head up and inhaled deeply, this only confirmed his suspicions. Rose was there in the park. Almost immediately the hell hound’s eyes lit up as he began his trek through the park to find the girl he longed to see. For that moment his urge to eat had been put on hold though his stomach continued to protest. It had been some time since he’d last seen the half breed.
After crossing over a few small hill Guillotine finally made it to his destination. There sitting before him was a site he didn’t think to see. Rose sat there on the park bench with a stroller pulled up in front of her. A new sense of self-doubt began to worm its way into the hell hound’s skull. She had her children already?! Perhaps it wouldn’t be the best time to visit the young female, especially with him being as hungry as he was. Despite his doubt Gil was hell bent on seeing his friend. Guillotine took a deep breath before finally approaching the young half breed and his children. “ Long time no see Rose.” Gil placed his pale hand into Rose's shoulder and stood there behind the park bench. His words no longer seemed to hold their usual confident luster, in fact the hound sounded a little unsure of himself. Gil didn’t make eye contact with Rose but rather looked over at her children. There were two of them like she’d said before. To his satisfaction both children seemed to resemble Wey in some shape or fashion. But little did he know one belonged to him.

Really, Rose was quite content here. She loved the park, especially during the fall. She would however miss the warmer parts of the year, and actually somewhat dreaded the thought of Winter. Oh sure, Rose loved it, how beautiful it was. But with Winter came the cold and sickness, and now herself wasn't the only thing she had to worry about. She knew how easily children could get sick, and she would probably soon find herself worrying herself sick with the thought of the twins getting ill. Well, the kids would get sick eventually, but she wasn't ready for all that. Honestly, Rose didn't feel ready to be a mother at all. She was still young in human standards, and incredibly young in demon standards. If what the books said was true, she had more than double the lifespan of an average human. And now she gets to spend a huge chunk of it raising kids. Oh well, it was her mistake, but she still loved the twins all the same.
Really, the weather was pleasant, very mild. However just in case, Rose had put the babies in some thicker clothing though just in case, with blankets to spare if needed. Rose sighed in content as she looked up to one of the trees, admiring its bright colors. The twins seemed equally interested, and their little gazes were fixated by the colors as well. It was funny on what little things interested the twins, but suppose all children were like that? Soon enough, Felkin began speaking his little language of gibberish. Rose would laugh and nod, especially if Felkin turned to look at her, his little eyes wide as he looked from her to the tree again. "Pretty isn't it?" She cooed to the little boy, who smiled brightly and let out a little squeak.
Unknowing to Rose, a certain Hound had just entered the area, one that Rose would be quite excited, yet anxious to see. She was saddened she hadn't seen the hound all the much as of late, what with the kids, juggling school and a job, and now with the returned of Wey, it was just very hectic. Well, at least the burden was going to be shared again, and she wouldn't be so lonely and caged in all the time. It would be easier, hopefully.
Rose looked down at Anna, whom had grown quiet. Her eyes were no longer looking at the trees, but rather looking at her mother, or, behind her rather. Rose was about to turn her head and see what her daughter was looking at when she felt a hand on her shoulder, and an oh so familiar voice. She looked up and seen the face of Guillotine, who looked a bit disgruntled and unsure, wary even. Rose couldn't help but grin up at the tall, pale man. "Gil!" Rose said happily, her eyes shining with excitement. She carefully stood up from the bench and maneuvered away from the strolled a little bit, being careful not to hit it as she got up. Rose threw her arms around her dear friend. "How have you been?" She asked, her grin still firmly in place. Rose looked back to the strolled, and noted the utter look of bewilderment on Felkin's face, and the look of sheer curiosity on Anna. She smiled at the two and their reactions to Gil, who was a total stranger to them.
"Wanna sit with me for a while? I could use some company." She said with a soft smile before sitting back down and patting the spot next to her. "I'm sorry I haven't visited or anything in a while but...I've been busy." Rose said with a slightly nervous laugh. "How are things with you and Akee? Good I hope?" Rose asked, feeling just totally happy to be talking to Gil again. She missed him naturally, and enjoyed whatever time to two did manage to have when they bumped into each other. Well, the good news was that Wey was no longer holding a grudge against Guillotine now, so she was able to see him without Wey going berserk anymore. It was a great feeling knowing she had that freedom again. Rose looked up to Gil, waiting for him to answer her, or to sit, which ever of the two.

This was a reaction Guillotine failed to see coming. The hell hound was ready to face the wrath of an overly protective mother. He'd already attempted to kill the children while they were in their mother’s womb. Now that they were born and out in the open Gil was sure Rose wouldn’t be too friendly with him, knowing full and well that he might be tempted to kill them again. Boy was he wrong. Instead of being yelled, or cursed at, Rose happily called the hell hound’s name. Her’s tone was happy, and excited. There wasn’t an ounce of anger in that lovely voice of hers. This came as a bit of a shock to the hell hound. He was sure she would act like a mother bear and defend her children from him. Instead of being protective, Rose seemed open, and very happy to see him. Of course Guillotine, being a glutten for attention, feed off of this positive energy and he couldn’t help but to crack a light smile as the woman stood up and wrapped her arms around him. The male’s smile seemed to grow as he slowly slipped his pale arms around the girl and gave her a bit of a hard squeeze. He could do this now that Rose no longer had that annoying baby bump. As he continued to hug the woman a sense of sheer excitement raced through his body. Gil hadn’t realized just how much he’d missed his dear friend. Long before Akeelah was around he would always look to Rose for support as well as attention. Though things have changed, Guillotine still seemed to hold a strong bond with the young half breed.
The hell hound couldn’t seem to contain himself. His excitement began to get the better of him. Gil allowed his back side to slowly sway back and forth, almost as if he were wagging an invisible tail. The male pushed his sensitive nose into Rose’s neck. He then flared his nose open and took in her oh so lovely scent. Guillotine’s eyes seemed to roll back with pleasure as Rose’s aroma surged into his nose.
God, he missed her scent.
It had been too long sense the two had last met. Guillotine was beginning to think that Rose disappeared with that cat-boyfriend of hers. Man he would have been pissed if that was the case. The hell hound had yet to forgive the shadow cat, hell if anything he still hated Wey for stealing Rose’s attention. And now that Rose had the other man’s children this gave the hell hound another reason to hate on the opposing male. Guillotine loosened his grip on the young woman as she asked him how he was doing. “I’ve been better.” He replied before his deep forest green eyes looked to the small children Rose had in the stroller. Their little eyes were locked onto him. Those tiny orbs gave off the vibe of innocent curiosity. Gil grimaced; his hellish nature began to bubble to the surface. However he attempted to push his instinct onto the back burner. His inner battle was evident, as his jet black hair began to slowly spike up atop that head of his. This was a sign of inner resentment. Side from this, he seemed calm for the most part. He even attempted to start a small conversation. “Looks like you’ve got your hands full now Rose.” The male teased, though there was little to no humor in his tone.
Guillotine’s body began to grow a little ridged as Rose released him and turned back around to her kids. She looked at them for a moment before sitting back down on the bench. Gil then watched as Rose patted a place beside her and asked the hell hound if he wanted to join her. Guillotine gave Rose a light nod before walking around the bench and plopped down next to her. By now he’d begun to realize just how tense he was. So in an attempt to get himself to relax he wrapped one arm around Rose and pulled her a little closer to him; as he would usually do when the two where together. This made Gil feel a little less intimidated by the two young babies that sat just a few inches from him. Both children seemed to be staring him down as if he were fresh meat. Guillotine gave the two young one’s a hard glare before Rose decided to ask yet another question. Taking his attention from the kids, Gil turned to look at Rose. This time he forced a large smile onto his face. “We’re doing just fine.” He replied bluntly before he turned back to the children. Those deep green orbs of his seemed to hold a bit of sinister lust within them, yet they didn’t turn red. “How about you Rose? How have you been doing, these brats haven’t been giving you any trouble…have they?” Guillotine then released a low snort. "If they're anything like their father they'll be nothing but trouble, am I right?" This time there was a hint of humor in his voice as this statement slipped from his lips. Little did he know, one of the 'brats' belonged to him.

Sure, perhaps Rose's initial reaction to Gil was rather unexpected, shocking even. She had every right to be as wrathful and relentless as a mother bear, but she couldn't find it in her to turn a hostile glare upon her friend. Why, she was unsure. After all, Rose remembered the day the hound had practically flipped out, attempting to kill the twins in her before they were born. Well, despite Rose reacting so positively, that didn't mean she still wouldn't be watching. And if Gil did happen to pull something, she wouldn't hesitate clawing the shit out of him.
The twins remained focused on Gil, their little multicolored eyes looking at him with innocence. After a few moments though, Felkin had grown bored and looked elsewhere, while Anna still looked on, watching the larger man in fascination. It was almost as if she knew Gil, or knew of the relations the two share. She let out a little squeak when the hound had turned to look at her and Felkin, and she gave a toothless grin at the man. Just like her biological daddy, Anna adored attention.
God, it really did feel good to see Guillotine again, and he seemed just as excited. Rose laughed a but as the hound as he tried to wag his "invisible tail". When he sniffed at her neck, she gave another little laugh because the gesture had tickled. "Easy boy." Rose teased, patting the hound on the head. He hugged her rather tightly too, which she didn't mind, especially now that it was possible to hug her tightly again. Rose couldn't seem to stop smiling.
Rose looked over at the twins as Gil did, and she watched his expression carefully. There was resentment there, which concerned her a bit. Jealousy still lingered within the Hellhound it would seem. she couldn't really blame him she supposed, after all, the two had been rather close from the start of it all, and then Wey came into the picture and limited Gil's attention from Rose. She tried hard on still giving the greedy hound attention, but naturally, the significant other always seems to win when it comes to attention.
She tilted her head a bit on Gil's initial response to how he was. "Been better? What, is something bothering you?" She asked with genuine curiosity. Rose gave a light grin though as Gil teased about her having her hands full. "Oh you have no idea." She laughed, looking over at her children once more.
Rose noted how tense Gil was, and wondered if this wasn't a good idea after all. She was still watching carefully though, her eyes subtly watching his every move. Gil was doing well though surprisingly. Keeping him talking seemed to do the trick really. After a few moments, Gil accepted Rose's invitation to sit down next to her, and he plopped down beside her, relaxing a bit as he wrapped an arm around her like he always did. Automatically, Rose snuggled up against the hound, keeping an eye on the kids while doing so. It felt nice to be sitting with Gil like this again. She had missed their little cuddling sessions they use to have, because it was pretty much the only time Gil was relatively calm. Hell, during the time where Wey had been gone for all those months, she had even begun missing her and Gil's previous beneficial relationship. But he was with Akeelah, and she couldn't bring herself to even go through with dragging the hound back to her apartment after the kids were asleep.
And speaking of Akeelah, when Rose asked how she and Gil had been doing, the man replied saying that they were doing fine. Rose nodded and smiled. "That's good to hear." She replied simply. Gil looked back at the kids, and Rose noted the glare he offered the twins, to which Felkin wasn't even paying attention, but Anna looked right back at him in bewilderment. Gil looked back at her, asking how she had been, and if the kids were and trouble at all. "I'm doing much better now than I had been. Happier." Rose said, almost to herself. She then shook her head some, smiling a bit. "They're not too much trouble. A little high maintenance at the moment, but that will change." She said with a laugh. Gil then made a comment saying that if they were anything like their father, they were indeed trouble. Well, he wasn't wrong there. It was still hard to tell personality wise who was like who, but so far, Anna was the attention hog out of the two, which reminded Rose so much of Gil. She frowned some, before nervously smiling and laughing. "Y-yeah...about that Gil...there's something I probably should tell you..." She stole a glance at Gil before looking at the stroller again, looking at Anna in particular. "There's no easy way to tell you this but um...one of them is yours." Rose gave another little nervous laugh, knowing Gil may not really take the news well. So long as he didn't outright attack the stroller, Rose would handle it.

Such insolence! Guillotine’s nose crinkled in disgust as his darkening forest green eyes glared at the two young children that sat before him. Surprisingly enough, the female turned to him and let out a small squeak before she smiled at him, despite his angry gaze. Did the little girl not know danger? Or perhaps she was too young and innocent to know what sort of dangers her daddy posted to her. Guillotine watched the young girl smile at him. His facial expression caws cold and unmoving. He had a negative outlook on the youngsters and soon things were going to get worse. The hell hound wasn’t in the best of moods, for one he was hungry and this would post a major problem. Another thing was the hell hound had begun to change, or rather grow into an adult. Soon enough he would began shedding for the first time. Not all hell hounds shed, however Guillotine’s hell hound form was made up of lizard like scales, so he would have to shed like a lizard in order to grow. This would prove to be irritating and stressful to the young hell hound; especially since he had no idea what was going on. His body had begun to change over the past few days; he’d been eating more as well as being a little anti-social. Soon enough he would go through a period where he wouldn't eat at all. The whole ‘molting’ possess would begin a week from this very day, Guillotine could feel it coming. Despite this added stress Gil did feel pleased to be around Rose. Her presence calmed him down, and even lowered his blood pressure. There was something about the girl’s touch that caused this to happen, even Gil himself had no idea what to make of this phenomena. After sitting next to the young half-breed Guillotine’s gaze began to soften. He leaned back against the park bench and sighed just as Rose asked the hound if something was bothering him. Gil looked to her for a second before turning his gaze back on the babies. “I’ve been feeling strange lately. That’s all.” He replied bluntly. The hound didn’t seem to be in the mood to talk about it. Instead his attention seemed to be set on the children. The male child didn’t seem too interested in him, but the female on the other hand had yet to take her eyes off the hound. Gil gave the baby a foul snort before his gaze reverted to Rose. The young half-breed leaned up against Guillotine’s frame before she cuddled up against him like she used to do. This action along brought a large toothy smile to Gil’s handsome face. He leaned his head over and gently rubbed the side of his head against hers. God how he loved to cuddle with her, the hound missed these little ‘personal’ sessions the two had. Moments like these were becoming scarce, rare even. Guillotine’s smile began to fade as he looked back over to the children. Hints of envy and hatred began to linger in those darkening orbs of his. The little girl continued to look at him, her small chubby cheeks where pushed upward into a toothless baby smile. To Guillotine, the babies where just another reason why he and Rose could not be together, he had to find someone other than himself to blame. That was just the way Gil was, it was a selfish way of thinking. Before Gil could comment on the little girl Rose spoke. She stated that the children weren’t too much of a handful. Guillotine snorted in disgust. He seemed to have been hoping for the worst when it came to the two brats that sat before him. The hell hound loved Rose to death; this was the reason why he didn’t want to “share” the half-breed. Rose then went on to explain that she was happier, and content. Guillotine released an annoyed sigh before he turned to look at Rose one last time as he explained that the kids where trouble like their father. She agreed, though her tone seemed a little off. Gil cocked his head to the side like a curious pup. Rose then spoke saying that there was something she needed to tell him. “Go on.” Gil said. “I’m all ears.” The look on Guillotine’s face was priceless as Rose told the truth about the little female baby. Rose didn’t look Gil in the eye but looked at the smiling Anna. Guillotine sat up, the jet black hair that stood atop his head was standing on end once more. That look of surprise was quickly replaced by the look of anger. The male’s eyes narrowed before they shifted to a deadly blood red color. He seemed completely shocked by what Rose had said. “W-WHAT?” Gil replied his tone sounding utterly astonished. Rose’s nervous chuckle wasn’t exactly helping the situation. “This isn’t f*cking funny Rose! Please tell me you’re joking.” Gil’s head snapped around to see what Rose was looking at. He wanted to see that joking smile that never came. While observing the stroller he realized the young girl who had been staring at him for the longest was his child. Guillotine pulled himself away from Rose. “Why didn’t you get rid of it? You know what kind of problems that thing can cause, not only to your relationship but mine as well!” Gil growled, his blood red eyes had yet to leave Anna’s small frame. Guillotine knew of the girl's gender, he felt that she was an abomination, thus was the reason why he called her and 'it'. His selfish nature seemed to be running amuck at the moment. Anger and hatred began to cloud his judgment; this was a dangerous time to be around the frustrated hound. “I want it dead.” He huffed under his breath as he slowly stood up and trotted over to the side of the stroller. Guillotine understood that the male was Wey’s, he wouldn’t touch him, but the girl was another story. Strangely enough Gil just stood there, beaming down at the baby with hate filled eyes. Guillotine’s fists clutched at his side, he was ready to end the young child’s life. He savored the moment finally he could erase his mistake. The hound raised his fist into the air but something stopped him from slamming his fist down onto the child. It was little Anna’s glare. Anna’s gaze seemed to hold Gil on the spot. The sudden glance sent a shock wave of doubt through Guillotine's tall frame. Muscles tensed under the male's pale flesh. His fist remained frozen above the stroller,it had yet to strike the young child that sat in the stroller. Why did he stop? Even the hound didn’t know the answer to this. The look of confusion quickly took hold of Guillotine’s face. His eyes no longer held the persona of hatred, now those crimson orbs held the look of fear and confusion. “STOP LOOKING AT ME!!!” He yelled as he returned his hand to his side. The hound then took a step back he stumbled over a rock as he did so. It was sad to say the hound was intimidated by a stare from a child, but this seemed to be the case. He wasn’t afraid of little Anna, but afraid of the influence she seemed to hold over him. The hell hound returned to the bench, this time he refrained from touching Rose, or even looking at her. Gil fell silent as he sat there, pondering the situation at hand. He seemed unable to comprehend what had just happened. Was he going soft? It seemed so.

You would think Rose would have sense by now. Alas, she didn't, well, it wasn't that she didn't have sense, it was that she had too much faith. She knew Guillotine well, knew his violent, destructive behavior, and yet, here she was, inviting the young Hound to sit with her while her five month old children were only inches away. Rose was too trusting, and that was always her downfall. Had she known Gil's current predicament about him fully maturing, she would have sent him along to allow him to go eat elsewhere. Or she would have at least brought the twins home before further conversing with the growing Hellhound. Instead, she was as ignorant to his problems as ever. If he would outright tell her what was wrong, such incidents could be avoided. Alas, Gil was too proud to even allow Rose in on his ordeals, which he had a right to keep from her on most cases. Right now though? It would be nice to know what was bothering the male. Rose also hadn't taken into consideration how bothered he would be about the kids. Sometimes she forgot how easily jealous Gil could get, and how possessive he still was. Had Rose known how even still Gil was possessive over Rose, she would be a bit irritated. Gil had a mate, and a great one at that. Obviously, she and Gil could not be together, so she had taken Weylyn as he own. Gil didn't have a right to possess her like he did before, nor vice versa. Had Akeelah or Weylyn never entered the picture, things maybe would have been different, but this was not the case. But Rose was happy with Weylyn, well, again she was anyways. Hopefully the two could put the horrible, angry bitterness behind them and move on with the relationship, which seemed to be working thus far. And according to Gil, he and Akeelah were doing fine as well.
Rose sighed in slight exasperation, which turned to content when Gil rubbed the side of his head against hers. She smiled back at the hound and returned the gesture. It was funny how a simple affectionate gesture could make Rose grin like that. She missed times like these where the two would just sit like this without a care in the world. It relaxed her, and steadied her nerves. So it was just as good for her as it was for Gil himself.
It would seem though that things would only go downhill from there though. Again, Rose did not realize what a truly foul temper Gil was in, and telling him that Anna was his child wasn't the best thing to say. She turned her head, deciding to be brave and she looked at the hound head on. "Why would I joke about something like that? I told you exactly all those months ago I very well could be having you're child." She said calmly. Which was true, though she hadn't been for sure if she was bearing Gil or Wey's child at the time, which only turned out she was carrying a child for both men. Funny how things work out. Rose felt very uneasy when the forest green eyes of Gil shifted into a deadly blood red. But, she would not show fear, only a calm outlook so she didn't further anger the hound. However, Gil's tangent send waves of anger through Rose, and she glared at her friend, even going as far as letting a little growl at him. "I didn't get rid of her," Rose emphasized Anna's gender since Gil had so rudely called her an "it". "Because she is my child. And she has not ruined my relationship. Wey knows. And Akeelah doesn't need to know unless you tell her. I wouldn't tell her about you being Anna's father." Rose said quietly, though venom was slithering into her tone now as her motherly instincts were starting to kick in. Her crimson and violet flecked eyes narrowed into slits, and the pupils slitter into a cat like fashion then as the rage began to take her when Gil exclaimed he wanted Anna dead as he stood up beside the stroller. Rose stood up and snared at him. "If you touch a single hair on her head I will skin you alive and wear you as a coat Guillotine." She said with another snarl as Gil lifted a fist into the air. But before Rose could strike the hound away from her children, something froze him on the spot. Anna's own little glare seemed to have confused and frightened the young Hound, and he screamed at the child to not look at him, backing up and stumbling over a rock while he did so. Anna giggled at Gil's little fall, even little Felkin had turned in time to see the tall male stumbled over, and he too giggled. Rose smirked silently at the hound. Gil refused to look at Rose as he trotted back over to the bench, sitting down sullenly while doing so. The Nephilm remained standing for a moment, and she looked at her son and daughter, who were oblivious to the danger that had just passed. She relaxed, if only a small amount, and she too sat back down, turning her head so she could keep an eye on the babies, as well as Gil. "Now are you quite finished? Or are you going to press your luck further?" Rose said with a small amount of humor, though her tone was still rather dark. She would like to know what caused Gil to stop. Did he somewhere deep inside accept Anna's existence? Or had he heard the threat made on his life by Rose? Or had he somehow been frightened by Anna's stare? There wasn't a clear reason as to why he stopped, but Rose was thankful he did. She would rather not kill her dearest friend. But if she needed to do so to protect her child, then so be it.

The look of sheer bewilderment and confusion remained plastered onto Guillotine’s handsome face. He did not know what to make of Anna, or the fact that she managed to fend him off with only a stare. Perhaps the hell hound was growing soft? Maybe he was no longer fit to be a beast of hell. The hell hound’s ego did a nose dive into the ground. For once in his life he didn’t know what to do, or what to say. Gil remained silent; he’d done this before whenever Rose had told him she was pregnant. But now things where really hitting home for him. That “possibility” was now sitting there, staring back at him. Anna was no longer inside of Rose. The small child was real now not just a possibility. Anna was out in the word, she was a living being and a nightmare that had come true. Guillotine wished he was dreaming. He wanted to wake up in his bed next to his mate. But this wasn’t going to happen, this was reality. Guillotine released a loud sigh. His tired orbs had yet to change back to their original color. At this point Gil could still be a possible threat. There was no way Gil could mask his anger at this point. His eyes always seemed to give his emotions away.
Guillotine was not in the best mood that day. He’d been going through his molting phase which has caused him quite a bit of grief. So much so that he was tempted to leave Akeelah for a week or two to go off on his own, just during the intense parts of the process. He knew if he stayed around her during this crucial moment in his life would be only amount of time before he snapped. The last thing he would want was to come to his senses and find his mate dead. Soon he would have to use his vacation time for work. He was sure Akhtar or even Lee could take over the store while he was gone. Just the thought of harming the ones he loved caused Gil to shutter.
For the last few minutes Guillotine sat there in a bit if a daze. He was not sure what to do at this point. He was completely torn. Apart of him wished to end the little girl’s life, then leave. But his other side wished to appease Rose, and not harm the child. So many thoughts were streaming through his head the male thought he was about to go mad. Soon enough Rose snapped the hound out of his delirium. Gil did not look at Rose as she spoke. He did listen to her; the woman seemed just about fed up with his actions. Guillotine lowered his head, like some sort of pup that got caught chewing on his owner’s shoes. Gil hated to have Rose angry at him, but he brought it upon himself. The hell hound didn’t say anything as Rose spoke. She stated that Akeelah wouldn’t have to know about the child unless he was to tell her himself. Wey apparently knew the child was not his own.
Gil cocked his head to the side. “Why doesn’t he kill it? It isn’t even his.” Guillotine pondered this to himself. Wey’s decision didn’t make sense to the young hound. If it had been the other way around and Akeelah had Wey’s child Gil would kill it without hesitating. Of course Gil wouldn’t understand that Wey had changed upon returning to Rose. Unlike Guillotine, Weylyn had molded himself into a gentleman; One that would take on the responsibility of being a father to a child rather than allow his arrogance to destroy it. If the young hell hound wasn’t so bull headed, then perhaps he could learn a thing or two from his old rival.“That damn cat doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into, but if he wants it he can have it.”Gil grumbled as he ran his pale fingered through his raven colored hair. Soon enough Rose chewed Gil out about calling Anna an ‘it’. She emphasized that the little child was a ‘she’. Guillotine rolled his blood red eyes like an overly cocky teen. He then remembered Rose’s thread, the one about her wearing him as a coat. Could he really blame her for snapping at him like that? A low growl streamed from Guillotine’s throat. He knew he was in the wrong, but he didn’t want to admit it. The hell hound was too proud to do so. “Whatever.” Rose then asked the male if he was finished with his little outburst. After that comment Gil remained quiet, his blood red eyes continued to look down at the dirt covered ground below him. As silence fell upon the two Gil begun to calm down. While he was cooling his jets he asked a very unusual question. “ So, Whats her name?” Gil asked, he had yet to take his eyes off the ground.

It never fails that when Rose wanted to get out and do a simple activity such as walking her kids, something intense and dramatic always happens. If a random Shadow Demon wasn't out jumping her, Gil would be around throwing his monthly hissy fits and acting all like "roar I'm gonna kill you!" Did male Hellhounds go through a fucking menstrual period like human women or something? Or was that just Gil being Gil? Well, Rose couldn't say she had been surprised of his poor reaction to the situation, but, she would have thought he would have come to terms with it. If he felt afraid Rose was going to rat him out to Akeelah, then he had very little faith in the Nephilim. There wasn't a need to tell of Anna's true origins. Wey had vowed to love and raise the little girl as his own like he was doing with Felkin. As far as anyone is ever concerned, Weylyn was her father.
Now, had Rose known of Gil's "molting", perhaps she would be slightly sympathetic. But the fact he made a threat to her daughter was where he fucked up. It seemed though that Anna had not been traumatized over Gil attempting to beat her down. It was almost as if she had caught his bluff. She was no longer watching Gil though, for now she had lost interest for the moment. Rather she had started playing with one of the toys on her tray, while Felkin was trying to reach down from his spot and play with it too. The two babbled at each other in their little made up baby language, content and unaware of the danger that had passed.
Gil was quiet, and Rose watched him carefully. He seemed to hang his head at her words like a guilty pup. He cocked his head to the side though when she spoke of how Wey was taking up for Anna, despite her not being his. She frowned as Gil asked why didn't he just kill her. "Why would anyone kill a child because of their origins? It's not their fault where they come from or what they are." Rose stated with a cool anger. "He wants to raise her like he does with his own son. After all, she needs a father right?" She said, narrowing her eyes some, subtly calling out Gil's immaturity to man up and take responsibility for what was his own. Gil just seemed to just roll his eyes at her like an arrogant teenager who thought he knew anything and everything. Rose crossed her arms and let out a long, exasperated sigh. She loved Gil to death, but he obviously wasn't a guy who liked kids. Maybe in time he would grow patient, and accept Anna, but certainly not now.
After a few moments of silence, Gil spoke up again, not looking up from the ground yet. He actually asked what Anna's name was, and didn't call her an 'it', but acknowledged her as a living being then. The surprise was clear in Rose's eyes, and she looked back over at him, quirking a brow at him and silently asking "are you serious?". "Her name is Annabelle. Or just Anna." She said softly. Rose let out another sigh and leaned over some, daring to pet the hound on the head lightly. "I know you're afraid, and afraid Akeelah is going to find out. She won't though, I promise. Trust me." Rose said with a small, crooked grin, ducking her head some so she could at least see Gil's still red eyes.

Guillotine had a lot to learn when it came to morals and overall respect of others. The arrogant hound didn’t seem to know when to call it quits. Guillotine’s muscles remained tense and visible through his pale skin. He wasn’t clear why he acted the way he did when confronted with a child’s stare. Confused and angry Guillotine continued to sit there like a pouty child, even when Rose began to speak the mutt grumbled and growled to himself. Unfortunately, it was just the way Gil was. Like any other canine he grew easily envious of others trying to take Rose’s attention. This was not the only problem Gil was facing, a large amount of stressed had begun to build up within the tall man’s frame. It was because the female child belonged to him and he did not want to step up and be the father that the child really needed. Luckily for Guillotine, another man had taken the job off his greedy little hands. It appeared that Wey would stay around and be a father to a child that wasn’t his own. This had confused Guillotine, when Rose had mentioned it he couldn’t believe what he heard. The same shadow cat from before? The same cat that hated his guts was going to care for his child? This did not seem to make any sense to the already confused hell hound. Just what was the shadow cat up to? Guillotine did not know of Wey’s recent change. The once arrogant shadow cat had turned himself into a fine gentleman. As fair as Gil knew he was the same old cat. “You have to be kidding me, Wey?” Gil exclaimed. She had to be lying. “We are talking about the same shadow cat right? Or did you find some new shadow cat that went by the same name?“ Guillotine pondered this to himself. He didn’t believe Rose, not in the slightest. The male couldn’t seem to comprehend that Wey was going to raise and protect the child, rather than kill it. Soon enough Rose spoke out. Asking who would kill a child because of their origins and the fact that it was not their fault for coming into the world the way they were. A hint of guilt could be seen in Guillotine’s eyes. He felt as if he were being scolded like a bad dog that chewed his master’s shoes. Despite feeling this way Guillotine’s arrogance soon bubbled to the surface again. “Why not? So what if it isn’t their fault, if they are going to cause trouble then why not end their lives.” Gil explained before giving Rose an annoyed huff. “Besides, you know little to nothing about hell hounds, how do you expect to raise a child that is one eh?” Gil pondered as his blood red eyes remained on the ground. When everything began to calm down Rose told Guillotine his daughter’s name. “Anna .” Guillotine repeated, he allowed the word to roll off his tongue before Rose leaned over and gave him a light pat on the head. Gil closed his eyes and leaned into the woman’s hand, wishing for her to pet him more. This action alone seemed to lighten the mood. Rose then explained that she would not let Akeelah know of her origin. Rose then leaned down and looked Gil in the eyes. She reassured him when she did this. Instinctively he looked over at her and continued to give the girl an annoyed frown. The petting seemed to be doing the trick however; it lightened the male’s mood some, enough for him to speak in a joking sort of tone. “Annabelle eh? You come up with the strangest names Rose.”

How Akee managed to handle Guillotine was beyond her. Well, Rose knew Akeelah didn't take shit from anybody, so perhaps Gil was different around her? Who knows. Rose shrugged a bit to herself. Gil had always reminded Rose of a puppy. One minute he could be happy, the next he could be sullen and pouty like he was now. It was almost pathetic to look at the hound staring at the ground and grumbling to himself. He seemed confused though as Rose spoke about Wey stepping up in his place. Cpuld she blame him for being confused? Certainly not. Before, Wey had hated the hound with a burning intensity, and now, with his sudden change, he was willing to raise Gil's little girl. It still bewildered Rose even to this day.
"Yes, I am talking about the same shadow cat." She replied with a little grin. "He did a lot of changing while he was gone." Four months Wey had been gone, which had been rougher than Hell. One would think Rose would have gone to see Gil a lot during those times, but she hadn't, only sometimes due to her being so busy with the kids, juggling college and fighting off her deep depression that settled in when Wey had vanished. The only thing that had really kept her going were the twins. Had it not been for them, who knew what would have happened.
She frowned again when Gil tried to counter back with his reason for killing a child. "Oh? How would you know if they are trouble? Children only become trouble if you make them that way." Rose said with a little huff. Girl's next question though stumped Rose entirely, and made her frown deeper. How would she take care of a hellhound child? Gil was right. Rose knew so very little on Hellhounds, let alone trying to raise one. Maybe Rose would get lucky, and little Anna wouldn't inherit her father's Hound behaviors. But, that was hoping for too much. "I really don't know." She said with a sigh. She was thinking about Geikitsu maybe helping, but, Blood Wolves, though they were kin to Hellhounds, didn't grow up the same as they did. Perhaps, if Gil came around to the fact of Anna as his daughter, perhaps he could assist when the time came but, that was too much to hope on as well. Rose passed a nervous glance at the twins again, whom seemed to be occupying themselves. That was the beauty of twins. They always kept each other company...well, if they weren't bickering over something first. Today was a good day for them though, and they were getting along just fine.
Rose cracked a little grin as Gil leaned in towards her hand as she pet him. Wey always did the same thing. Did all supernaturals who have an animal-like form do this? It was just habit perhaps. It always amused Rose though to see both Gil and Wey do this. Rose went back to petting him as he said aloud the little girl's name. Clearly the petting was making his mood a bit lighter, which was a good thing. The Hound then teased Rose about her name choice for their daughter, and she gave another little grin. Truth be told, she heard the name being used in a few songs from a band called Alesana. And the songs that had the name Annabelle had such a dark story, about how the guy who loved her brutally murdered her and buried her out in the woods or something. Despite the name's dark origins in the songs, Rose had loved it. "Annabelle isn't that strange of a name." Rose said with a pout on her face. "Certainly not as strange as Guillotine." Rose said, sticking her tongue out at the hound playfully.

The midday sun continued to beat down onto the park, and its residents. The hell hound couldn’t help but to smile as the warming rays hit his tall frame. The combination of warmth and a gentle petting seemed to make Gil relax. Something still troubled the hound though. Gil couldn’t quite believe Rose. Wey couldn’t change, could he? Gil wouldn’t believe it. Even as Rose explained the situation, the hell hound was reluctant to trust what the woman was saying. It was in Gil’s nature to be stubborn, he’d held a grudge against the shadow cat, and figured he couldn’t change. But unlike Gil, Wey had changed into a gentleman, one that would sacrifice his time to take care of his rival’s child. Wey had set aside all differences, and bettered himself while doing so. Guillotine on the other hand was still stick in his rut of uncaring selfishness. Much like a child, Gil still had a lot of maturing to do.
The hell hound continued to lean into his friend’s hand like some sort of spoiled pup. He loved nothing more than a nice scratch. Gil’s eyes remained closed up until the point where Rose had admitted that Wey had changed after leaving for a while. Slowly Guillotine’s blood red eyes opened, he then frowned and released a foul snort. “I-I still can’t believe Wey could change. I mean the man is a cat for fucks sake.” Guillotine’s words where harsh and he meant every word he said. However the hell hound knew little to nothing about the way, Weylyn was now that he returned from his short trip. Perhaps one day he would understand.
Guillotine didn’t realize how much pain and suffering Rose had been thought during Wey’s absence. Nor, would he understand the trouble she had gone through to raise those abominations; as he would call them. Rose then went on to explain that children weren’t trouble unless you make them that way. Guillotine looked up at Rose once more. He took note of the frown that had plastered itself onto her face. Guillotine remained silent. He wasn’t able to gather his words this time. Even after Rose explained that she didn’t know what to do if little Anna did inherit Guillotine’s beastly abilities. Gil kept his mouth shut for once. He knew killing the child wouldn’t be a suitable answer to their problem. Rose made that perfectly clear. Gil could always lend a hand, however the stubborn beast wouldn’t want to assist in raising the ‘abomination’. Perhaps he would change his mind when the child grew, only time would tell.
The sound of giggling caught the hell hound’s attention. His blood red eyes reverted back to the stroller. It was amazing to see the young siblings play with each other as if they were the best of friends. Gil continued to lean his head into Rose’s hand as he observed the two children at play. The predator in him wished to silence the two babies. Despite his dark thoughts, Gil was completely harmless for the time being. He wouldn’t want to be scolded again now would he? The hell hound forced himself to relax ad he slowly laid his head in Rose’s lap. He then taunted the girl on Anna’s name. Rose’s reply made Guillotine smile. She said that her name wasn’t as strange as his. “Yeah’ It is.” Gil teased before rubbing the side of his face against her leg. He then looked over to Felkin. “What about the other runt, what do you call him?”
