Walking through the streets of the wonderful Restaurant district, Maewynn just wants to find some food. Earlier that day, he had "acquired" some money from a local general store and he felt that it'd be best if it went back into circulation before long. His hands flipped the collar of his jacket up and he re-situated his thick frames.
'They keep falling off. Not much of a jumper, if I have to keep going back for these damn things. Contacts? Surgery? With modern technology the way it is these days, I could surely have my...'
His thoughts kept him company while he slipped into a small cafe just off the street. With his hear of brown hair kept down, he slipped into a small booth in the corner away from most of the other people - just the way he liked it. Not that there were many people in there anyway. Maybe that's why he had walked in, or maybe it was just the fact that he was hungry... Probably a bit of both.
While still thinking about the his glasses, he barely noticed the young women trying to take his order, which in turn startled him.
"Are you alright, sir?" She says, worringly. He calms his breathing and responds with a little chuckle " Yes. I am. I'm sorry. Could I have the... Uhm... That right there looks good." He pointed a random meal on the menu in front of him and handed the menu back to the waitress. "Thank you." She took his menu away and marched off to the kitchen or wherever she would be going. Maewynn sat there patiently for a few minutes before pulling out his wallet and a few photos. The photos held images of many different locations, mainly locations that were kept away from the public, but not from him. He called these his "Sanctuaries" and tried his best not too stay too long in any of them. This wasn't very hard though, as he had dozens of them ad could always acquire more.
He pulled his glasses from his face and wiped his eyes slowly. Once he'd put them back on, he noticed three gentlemen walking in through the doors. He'd recognized one of them, but from where?
'Wasn't he following me last week... or was it last month?'
The waitress returned with his food and he slowly tucked into the corner more. He barely touched his food, keeping eye on these men. One had walked to the bathroom, passing him without a single glance. While this happened, Maewynn almost fled. He was sure that the man was coming towards them, but was assured later when a man entered the cafe and they all were at sudden joy with his appearance. It must have been his birthday or something.
With a major relief now creeping down his spine, he picked up his fork and began eating, his attention now completely undivided towards his meal.

To be honest, Blue was getting a little tired of the pub she was working at. Sure, it was very nice and welcoming, of course it was! But she was just at it so often. She never got out enough to enjoy the other little restaurants and bars that littered the city. Only once had the girl gone to somewhere other than The Wandering Mule, and that was what, a couple years ago? A little while after she had woken up here in this place. The brunette took long strides down the sidewalk, her palms soaking up the light that reflected off of the bright, white concrete. She had wandered into some trouble a couple minutes ago, but luckily, her body had been full of light. A shame for the two young men that tried to have their way with her... She was more than she first came off as. If the light that suddenly radiated from her palms wasn't enough of a fright, then maybe her rapidly darkening nature was. The girl seemed to go from light and mildly spooked to manically finding pleasure out of their pain and misfortune. This was why she was so scared of herself. Because she could shift as fast as the sea, from calm to violent. Now, though, now she was slowly gaining control again. The more light she took in the better she became. She decided to take a more hidden approach to gathering the substance. Rather than lifting her hands outright to the sun, she let the reflections that bounced off of the sidewalk do all the work.
The brunette paused in her steps for a moment and glanced behind herself. She wasn't expecting the men to be following her - what with their newly obtained burns and partial blindness, why would they? - but she couldn't help the paranoia that crept up her spine and tingled in the back of her mind. There was nobody behind her, thankfully. Blue let out a quiet sigh and continued down the pathway. Her denim eyes trailed along the different shops and restaurants along the way. None of them really struck a chord within her, really tempted her to take a step in. That is, until she reached the little café that was not too far off. It was a quaint little place, and just what she was looking for. With a little smile that just barely graced her lips, Blue took a step in, immediately taking in the delicious aroma of coffee and freshly-baked meals. It was already beyond satisfying. The girl started to walk towards a table when a group of men suddenly stepped in front of her. She blinked and waited for them to move, growing a little irked when they didn't even seem to notice her. Just as she was about to ask one of them to please excuse her, another man stepped into the café, and the group of men in front of her turned and suddenly - if not a little rudely - pushed past her. They were extremely excited for some reason. Probably the newcomer's birthday, or a promotion or something. Who knows.
The girl stumbled back, bumping into an unsuspecting waitress. Luckily, all the woman was carrying was a couple of waters, and though they spilled down onto the floor and there was a little bit of heart-stopping wavering for a moment, everything was alright. Blue instantly apologized to the poor lady, her expression not far from horrified guilt as she she spilled out her regrets. The waitress, luckily, was a very kind, patient woman, and she passed it off as nothing more than what it was. Spilled water. Still, Blue felt bad for just ramming into the woman, even if it wasn't even her fault. Her eyes quickly glanced around. It must not have been as big and major as she took it to be, since there was barely anybody looking at them. The girl watched guiltily as the waitress cleaned up the water and spilled cups, then smiled a little at her once she finished and went to go sit at a table again. She glanced back over her shoulder to the waitress to see her just stepping behind the counter, and as she affirmed that it was okay and turned to look back forward, she slipped. On what, you ask? Water. Looks like it wasn't all cleaned up. Letting out a little noise of surprise, the girl suddenly slid down, landing on her back and getting the whole backside of her shirt wet. Ouch... Well that hurt. Had anybody seen that at least?

'Well a major downfall with contacts is the fact that I must carry one of those damn cases everywhere, that'd be a major... hm?'
Maewynn was barely half-way through his meal when his attention was brought to the source of a sound near the entrance. The men were sitting now, but his eyes now drawn to the younger woman on the floor.
'Another victim of a slippery floor?'
He wiped his mouth and hands then left a considerate amount of money on the table, both for his bill and the waitresses kindness. Within his mind, an image of a large glorious bathroom came into view and before anyone had even paid any mind to the 27 year old in the corner, he vanished into thin air. He reappeared into the bathroom of the building that just a mile or two away. He had stumbled upon it while plotting out more escape routes and sanctuaries. With a hint of haste in his movements, he grabbed three towels and thought back to the spot on the floor, but before he'd jumped back, he quickly changed his mind. He'd then appear seconds later in his booth, thankfully still empty.
A slight lump formed in the mid section of his throat and he began to shake. The last time he had tried to lend some sort of help to anyone... He couldn't go through something like that. Maybe he should just keep to himself and walk away... but she seems kind and probably doesn't deserve to be wet on the cold floor.
His mind raced faster than his eyes and he almost didn't catch the young brunette rising to her feet. ' I guess I should move now.' He appeared beside her and with a fragile hand, softly gripped her arm to help her rise. He guided her to a nearby booth and sat her down, laying a towel onto the table in front of her. With still a slight haste, he moved to the mess on the floor and began wiping it up. Once he felt that the puddle had been taken care of, he laid the remaining towel down. He then vanished and re-appeared with a CAUTION! WET FLOOR! sign in hand. With which, he would proceed to set up just over the puddle. 'It'd be bad to see another person take a tumble... Well, maybe... Ah, never mind'. He had to stop thinking, it would just distract him and that wouldn't be something he needs when he is about to confront someone.
Once finished, he quickly re-appeared in the same booth with young woman. Her hair had intrigued him, maybe that's why he helped her? She certainly had the look of a twenty year old, but what intrigued him even more is that her eyes captivated him. Not entirely in the sense of passion, but the fact they saw something in her eyes that he had seen before... Her eyes were blue... that beautiful blue that he had once seen before. Memories flooded once more into his mind... Memories of someone that changed everything.
It must have been awkward for the young woman, however. Because Maewynn had been staring at her the entire time, completely oblivious to anything that she may have said or done. He was deep into thought and had no mind of what was happening around him. Eventually, he snapped back into reality and realized his "absence". After this, he sat back and looked out the window, trying to hide the slight red upon his cheeks. 'Great conversation starter, Mae.'

Okay... What had just happened? Blue rubbed the back of her head as she blinked her eyes. She slowly moved to sit up, feeling with distaste that her shirt was wet all along the back of it. The girl grimaced to herself and wiped her left hand on her jeans, finding that it too was wet. A few droplets had been propelled upward and landed on her arms as well from her landing. Sigh. Great day to be wearing a tank-top. Her shoulder blades were wet too, as well as the ends of her hair. Just how much water had there been? Blue looked up as a man suddenly came into focus. The girl seemed a little out of it as she was helped up. Her eyes drifted downward to look at where she had fallen as she stood straight. An invisible trap that was. Blue hazily let the man help her to a booth, not even questioning who he was or what he was doing. She was still trying to get over the uncomfortable feeling of wetness that covered her back. The brunette blinked once and looked down to the table in front of her, surprised to see a towel there. Instantly she went to grab it, her delicate fingers swiftly finding the fabric and pulling it up so that she could somewhat attempt to dry herself off. Working with speed, Blue ran the towel down her arms and got as much of her back as she could. By the time she had started working on wringing out the ends of her hair, the man who had helped her was back.
With a slight, hesitant smile, Blue looked up at him. She was surprised to see that he went right ahead and took a seat in front of her. Maybe she looked like she had hurt herself during her fall...? The man's eyes were certainly not wavering from her. Blue looked down, instantly growing flustered under the man's gaze. Discreetly, she squeezed the towel in her hands, trying to think of something to say or do. Maybe she should just go with the obvious choice first. "Oh, um, thank you," she said as she looked back up, her cheeks flushing a bit in embarrassment. She really needed to get out more. She waited for a reply from the stranger sitting across from her, and when she didn't receive one she decided to keep going, figuring from his silence that he was waiting for her to say something more. "My name is... Well, you can call me Blue. Anything that I may call you by...?" she asked, trailing off a little as the man's eyes still remained on her. She wondered what he was looking at. Was she bleeding or something? Slyly, the girl lifted her right hand and ran it across her forehead and down the side of her face, acting as if it was a simple brush off. As she set it down on the top of her newly acquired towel, she glanced down, and was relieved to find no startling red substance on her fingers. So what was he looking at, exactly?
By the time Blue had looked back up to the man, he had looked away to the window with the slightest hint of color on his cheeks. To be honest, the girl didn't remember whether that had been there the whole time or not. She hadn't been, to put it simply, paying much attention to the color of his cheeks, sadly enough. Clasping her hands together, the brunette glanced around for a moment before looking back to the man. He still hadn't looked away from the window, or said anything really. Had he even heard her...? "H-hey, are you okay?" the girl asked, reaching over timidly to touch his arm. Her touch was light and barely there, very delicate and cautious. She didn't want to startle the man, he seemed a little out of it himself. She just wanted him to know her thanks for his help. After all, she probably would've stumbled and fallen again if he hadn't been there to guide her over to this booth. "I just wanted to tell you thank you, for what you did," she said as she pulled her hand back. Blue looked down and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. The back of her shirt was still wet, and it was getting colder by the second.
((Hope this is okay! Sorry if it seems kinda all over the place))

He noticed a small bird flying by the window and tried to control his thoughts. His mind was racing with possibilities and worst-case scenarios. 'What have I just done? She needed help, yes. But, what if she was here to confront me? I am most certainly not prepared to defend myself at this time, but then again maybe this is just one big coincidence and I'm just... Hm?'
He had barely missed her words. That was something he was slowly trying to work out - the multitasking of his mind.
"Yes. I'm quite alright. And... uh, what about you?" He said softly. Conversations were never his strong suit. "I'm sorry that I forced you into the booth... I just felt that you may need to sit a minute after falling." Mae said, taking a slight pause afterwards.
'STOP TALKING! YOU'RE TALKING WAY TOO MUCH! GET TO THE POINT.' Mae thought to himself
"Uh, anyway. Can I get you anything? I can get more towels if you need or even a new shirt, if your's is still wet." He said this with a slight struggle. He was stumbling over his words, trying not to offend the young woman or make her angry. After all, He was only trying to help.
"Oh, I'm sorry, you don't even know my name..." He held his hand out to shake hers across the table of the booth. "Maewynn."
